The problem is it’s short term retention, game doesn’t have a skill gap. People will feel good in a few weeks and then just move on. Game needs to be fun and with the SBMM working I really dont see why all the nerfs to what made OTG fun is necessary. Once the lower sbmm bracket picks up those skills then he moves up to the medium, high etc etc and that’s only possible if there’s something actually to learn. Hopefully this changes soon

To be honest, OTG has caused me to look at Early Access games differently. I've never personally experienced a game that looks & feels soooo good, just to then have the devs completely change the mechanics and feel of the game in a short span of a 2-3 months.

I’ll take Splitgate 2 as an example. I’ve played it 1 or 2 days just to see whatsup, I cant play longer than that if there’s no ranked or tourneys but long story short, that game will do good because of the approach they are taking. They are actually proud of the good players and post their clips on official pages and also cater to the less “skillful” players with the sbmm. I’d love for OTG to actually accept the people that put so much time to develop their skills, promote them, invest in their streams, create your own streamers and at the same time they can still watch out for the casual players with the sbmm.
