Last night I deleted and reinstalled the game but havenāt turned it on so⦠the thing is, the issue isnāt us or playstation, itās definitely Kingsisle and I donāt understand the big issue. Theyāve done so many other program scripts yet this one is the most difficult.
Didnāt Joel mention that they were gonna patch another script yesterday?
In my opinion, it looks like Arc 1 only works properly with Cyclops Lane and Firecat Alley
It asks for payment for the others
I completed Krokotopia, and it only didnāt charge me for the Oasis
Wish I checked here before throwing away 20$š
Cyclops lane and Firecat alley were free to begin with and the Oasis too

Youāre still not safe even when you get the membership, it gets revoked periodically and you have to mess with your account and console to get it working again.

I would like to report I have been successfully playing for about an hour or two now. The biggest problem comes from switching zones

If you're talking about the information from the playstation store about the arc 1 pass, that information was said to not be updated properly. I don't think they've had the time to update it yet, but that screenshot from Joel should be accurate.
Joel is the project manager of the console migration from the Kingsisle group. Heās been on this project for 3 years and 15 years with the company. He confirmed these are the content included in the Arc 1 Bundle.
And yes, he says heās going to talk with Sony to update the description.
I had mentioned the same thing, these things SHOULD be told while purchasing the item, which was my argumentative of communicating with the audience, but heās working on these things now.
Thing about Sony, is it takes up to 14 days to process updates, unless youāre a larger game like Fortnite or Call of Duty, Spider-man, Marvel Rivals, etc. Those game updates get expedited.
The patched update for this was sent out on Oct 14, so by Oct 28 latest, or maybe beginning of November, my expectations are zero issues with the Arc 1 bundle.

I still can't access my arc 1 pass, I purchased it almost a week ago. Tried many of the methods posted on here and I created a ticket. This was the response I received

Make another character, skip the tutorial, then swap to your original character. It worked for me so try that.

I'm wondering about a lot of things, like how strange it is that online certain areas are stated to be "free" but aren't on console. Not to mention all the bugs dealing with subscriptions. Which port version did we get on console?

I think it's an old port, from what I have found PC port has stuff we don't.
I get that all the time after I have to relog because it wonāt let me switch areas. You have to reset the game and even reset your console a couple times and then make a new character and go through tutorial after

Hereās to a Monday or Tuesday fix then! If you bought the pass nearer to the beginning of last week you will be in more priority to get the membership. Ask Joel nicely on Monday and he might slip you to the front of the line, just donāt be too forward about it

I got it a few days ago maybe two or three by now. I ended up just using some crowns to get into the library to get started on the world but before I did that it was closed too. Same for the main temple on this world.

Plus he doesn't have any quests in wizard city. He's only level 13 and has no quests i think thats another bug

Yes membership is for the entirety of the game for as long as you have it but it is only tied to the one wizard you applied it to

You canāt just buy the entirety of Grizzleheim in one go, you have to purchase each area separately (And no, it isnāt included in the arc 1 pass). If you bought Vigrid Roughland, however, then you should have Frostholm unlocked as well. If itās giving you issues with accessing Frostholm despite purchasing Vigrid Roughland, I suggest you make a separate bug report instead of adding to this one because itās technically a separate issue (although Iām sure whateverās causing the issue for the arc 1 pass is related)

So with the pass, (I had the same issue) for some reason it works like this. Step 1 -Log in to your account. Step 2 -
hit quit in your spell book
Step 3 (and should be final step) log back in without restarting your game. It should have a text pop up

The only other issue, is what iām dealing with now.. and many others,⦠is the area is too full or not available pop up, it slows down questing by a lot, and Joel mentioned thatāll take 6-8 weeks to fix.

Mine wasnāt working until I went to options, hit quit, and got sent back to the starting screen showing your wizards, and logged back in. It didnāt work resetting the game, closing the game, or even turning my console on and off. It was ONLY quitting in game, staying in game, and and logging back into the character in game that worked for me. Idk š¤·
Yeah, we had projections of how many people would be playing, we built up all the servers we needed for it + some extra overhead.
Then way way way way way more people showed up than expected.
so we ordered the hardware right away, but it takes 6-8 weeks for it to be delivered, set up, tested and run.

So for those of us who have bought the arc 1 pass and did not receive it but got the 2 week membership compensated, if it is fixed by then but we have already passed dragonspyre which is the final offered world in the arc 1 pass, does that mean the arc 1 pass was a useless purchase? The point of the arc 1 pass is for people who either want to play through the game at their own pace without the looming monthly payment over their heads or who want to get multiple characters to the end of dragonspyre and then decide if they want to do a membership from there or not (or I guess buy more areas for permanent access)

I ended up trying this before I was given the 2 week membership just to see if it worked, and it didn't work on my end unfortunately. To my understanding, it's been different for a lot of people. Some people have come in here recently and tried those fixes and they work instantly, others have tried for weeks and get nothing, so it's hard to say what to expect overall. If anyone else is still waiting for the pass or membership and hasn't tried this, I'd say it's at least worth a shot

For anyone new here, they have been giving people 2 weeks membership while they work on fixing this. I believe if you send them a support ticket on console, then they should get back to you with that for the time being. From what I've seen, I think Joel (one of the mods) will be back on Tuesday to continue working on this. It sounds like there's been a lot of people on their team probably still working on it even on their days off, so here's hoping they can find a fix to this soon

Yeah, I don't get that. The only reason I can think they wouldn't be able to do so is because they're still working on the arc 1 pass, but straight up refusing to do so doesn't make sense to me. Although looking at it, since I couldn't remember and went to google, I got colossue boulevard, and it says that was 750 crowns. That are on it's own isn't a lot, I think it's like 1 dollar per 1000 crowns maybe, but if there were other areas, maybe that could add up a bit
I actually started up a section under console-bugs and I got a mod to jump in and help. I just teleported to my house and it looks like it fixed itself. If your character is still stuck, I would give it a try if you haven't

My friend bought it a day after me or a few hours. But I bought the arc pass before the bug happened and my friend didnt know if he wanted to get it. He doesn't like buying ingame stuff but then he bought it. And he cant get anywhere only the main free areas and hes sent a few emails but no response. He hasn't been able to play. He has no quests either and no quest finder. So reported that but no response. He had to make a new character.

What we are testing right now, is turning off the "Auto redeem" of the arc 1 item.
If this test works properly on our dev kits, it will be a temp fix for people going forward.
for people that have already encountered the issue, we have a script that runs hourly to apply a 2 week membership to your account, but because it can take up to 2 hours for Sony to send us all the purchase information you might wait up to 3 hours for it to kick in.
We are working on a sever side fix for all the players affected by this to go out next week.
and we are working with Sony about speeding up their notification of the dlc item purchase.

Ahh ok, CS is working on a policy for that. I do not know where they ended up as of this week. But I know they were going to do something once all the arc1 access pass issues were fixed. Easier to fix everyone at one time.
I personally can't give any crowns back on anything, They are the only department that can do that.
They didnāt elaborate this, they said straight up ānoā. Thatās not friendly for customers who are already upset.

You're welcome. Yeah, this whole console release has been pretty strange since it released. There's been a lot of odd bugs and they've been struggling with servers since they didn't expect so many players. I know that they'll be expanding the servers as soon as they can, but this arc 1 pass is definitely one of the most bizarre things I've seen and it seems to be taking some time to fix it
Yeah, there's been a lot of that happening unfortunately as you can see. They've had mods popping in and out with updates and whatever solutions they can offer, but there's still plenty of us that can't access it still, myself included. Apparently, it's a smaller percentage of players that bought it that are struggling with it and I've seen that some people have had it fixed with the recent update to sent it to giftbox. I don't know.. I've been playing on pc since like 2010 and I still can't wrap my head around some of the bugs that happen

But Iāve already made the purchase for the arc one pass 2 days ago and would like to enjoy it, but I canāt access it. I also want to know, if by having the arc one pass, does it give me full access to every quest in the worlds of krokotopia Marleybone, mooshu and Dragonspyre or do I still need a membership? And hes level 14 he had to make a new character cause the other one had no quests for him at level 13 no one was offering him quests

He basically needs to retrace his steps in the main quest line (itās really not a whole lot) and check every NPC and check all the instances - honestly his arc 1 pass could very well be working fine, but heās just soft locked himself lol
I donāt know if it is just me, but when I got the Arc 1 pass potion via gift box, my game kept on crashing after I claimed the gift and I have not seen said potion on the character I claimed it on.

It shouldnāt be crashing the game this much after claiming the gift, the potion wasnāt even in my inventory when I opened it and crashed after that too, I donāt know if Iām the only person having this issue but itās getting out of hand. Especially with just looking at the store page in game.
The potion wouldnāt be in your inventory - it just applies
maybe you have too many items and you need to quick sell, or take off your gear when you go to look at the shops/bank
Iāll check it again. Iām just not too sure if the game should be crashing this much for adding an item. I tried to sort my stuff out in the bank only to have it crash on me too. Each time Iāve done it, itās been barely 5 minutes before the crash happens after a page in the inventory wouldnāt load.
It crashed the minute I turned to another page to put stuff into the bank in my dorm. Lovely.

Did you click on the git box that pops up on the left side of your screen after purchase ? Click L3 and then go hover over it and press X or A if it wonāt let you itās just glitched and if you make a new player quick the gift box will still be there and it will let you click on it!
Thatās the funny thing, I had the pass the day it came out and it never registered that I had it until now. Even with the pass it shouldnāt be crashing my game this much.
Funny, my Arc 1 pass was working when I first purchased it but I still got the Arc 1 pass in my gift list
Ahh, there could have been a few people that got it 2x with the script. you can claim it again to get it out of your giftbox, and it will just re-add perm access to the zones it would grant.

Is there actually a way to check and see if itās been applied at all on PlayStation? Iāve been trying to find that only to crash 3 minutes in of the game.
It worked but man does this game just continue on. Blessing us with amazing glitches. So Iām in my dorm and Iām trying to place housing equipment down like my basic crafting station but when I do it, it doesnāt give me any other option besides feed pet. I can bring this up in another chat, but I just wanted to give an update on the arc one situation

He had to uninstall and then reinstall and make a new character for it to appear

Hey goodnight my friend keeps crashing every time he goes into his backpack, bank, shared bank or even the bazaar. They tried restarting the game and console but same issue, itās only happening today yesterday was fine
please submit a support ticket so our team can investigate
so generally speaking, most arc 1 issues should be resolved. i'd be interested to know more (anybody else can chime in here)
- you've checked for a gift box and it's not there. the gift box is pretty obvious on screen so im guessing no.
- you checked if the gift box is maybe present on a different character.
- if neither of the above work, does creating a new character fix it for you?
- only if you just recently purchased it and still don't see it, do these things work for you?: logging out to character select, restarting game, restarting console completely. if so, which one helped you?
- do you have a character thats stuck on a loading screen, that possibly has the arc 1 gift box waiting for them?

i bought the arc 1 pass yesterday and it still doesnt work, i tried all these methods and nothing is working //////// Update, it took multiple tries of swapping between characters for it to work

Ok so Iām having no gift box appear for starters. I only have one character. Iāve logged in and out a few times and closed the game down and restarted it. Also I have switched console off and back again. No characters stuck in a load screen. So not sure what else to try.
Make a new character, skip the tutorial, and hop between the two until you see a gift box pop up

In order to contact Customer Support on Xbox or PlayStation, please us the in-game options menu, and access the "Support" tab.

Bc I bought colossus blvd and the sunken city back when the FAQ incorrectly said that they werenāt included and my arc 1 pass wasnāt working so I wouldnāt have had a way to know not to waste crowns on them
yes, something is in the works and i think we'll have a real update soon. sorry, there is a lot to navigate with our CS procedures. a lot of "first time" happening behind the scenes and that means figuring out what and how we do things, but also making sure we're doing it by the book per our console partners.

thank you for your patience while we fully investigated the issue and found the best resolution for everyone. it seems like a simple fix but applying it to many accounts and making sure everyone was made square takes a bit of effort

Hey I see others getting their crowns back and when I originally asked back in the first week or two when the glitch started I was told no, I was hoping youād be able to help me in this regard. I bought colossus blvd with crowns out of confusion after buying the arc pass before the glitch blew up (two days after release) I donāt trust sending another support ticket, I only received stock emails not responding to anything I said or dismissive emails.
it came in automatically for me, but i put a ticket for it, i would follow up with the same ticket they rejected you with

I have a current ticket out for a quest thatās glitched for me. I need to put in another ticket for a different glitched quest and I still need to request the 750 crowns back. Iām currently still having the issue I had to purchase krakatopia because the pass didnāt work on PlayStation
I bought the pass yesterday and Iām also experiencing this issue on ps5. Tried all the solutions online, as well as a full reinstall and nothing has worked.
It did not delete my characters luckily. I would make sure your saves are backed up on the cloud though.

...I guess i should have come here and read this before buying the arc 1 pass because now I'm having the same issue. Just bought the pass and still get slapped with the paywall message. And im guessing by the looks of this feed, there's still no easy fix....? And im so very bad with technology as is...
Hop on a different character then back to the original and see if that fixes it, try it a few times, and if that fails then just email support
