I'd also like to say before my potential ban over... criticism, I doubt the decision to lock the sheet was an overall mod thing. If it was then, wow the entire modteam made a bad decision imo. But based on what I've seen, it looks a lot more like a snap decision by a single mod.

my main reasoning behind this is the complete and utter lack of foresight and consideration this decision had.

that post has been going on for over 2 years, with over 600 people contributing and over 50k messages. if there was an issue, it shoulda been removed MUCH sooner.

if it was an issue in recent conversation, they shoulda punished individuals instead of locking the sheet as a whole. but locking the sheet as a whole allows you to punish individuals without giving a reason since you're not directly punishing them, but that requires not considering the hundreds of other people that would be impacted. I doubt a full team of moderators wouldn't consider the impact it would have on others.

if we followed what was asked to a T and started treating #🃏・off-topic as the new #1187936299655647313 (which, again, is what we were told to do), then #🃏・off-topic would become unusable for normal convos.

if we kept suggestions (even the REALLY bad ones) to #1155557846805643434, then a similar thing would occur there.

like one person could make this stupid of a decision on their own out of anger, but even half a dozen should have at least one person consider the bigger picture on a decision like this

IF this server is a representation of thunk and playstack, then what we can assume about thunk/members of playstack based on the closure of The Sheet Suggestions is that:

• They dislike their community.
• They will shut down massive community pieces that hundreds of people have contributed to over the course of years.
• They will make decisions (like the one above) without explaining them at all.

You can also assume from this discord for the community being a representation of thunk and playstack members is:

• If something doesn't get removed, it represents what/who thunk/playstack members think/are.
• The community itself does not matter.

If you want something representing thunk/playstack, make a social media account and post stuff there. A DISCORD SERVER WHERE THOUSANDS CAN SAY STUFF THAT "REPRESENTS THUNK" IS NOT WHAT SHOULD REPRESENT THUNK.
