i updated hand preview to only process if your hand is 16 cards or less. after that you'll have to figure out what you can play from your many, many options
you should try it seems to be completely broken
for some reason it wont let me make a new save or start a new game i'm using the modpack launcher and i'm scared

When I quit a run and then try to resume, I get a crash with an error message from lovely as soon as I click the Play button on the main menu. Here are the related lines from the crash log:

I have disabled a few mods, maybe disabling one of these is causing the issue? DebugPlus, Luna's Enhancedments, NotJustYet, and Hand Preview. Also, when this happens is there something I can do or delete somewhere to clear the current run or whatever lovely is trying to load, so I can start a new run?

One other question, I've noticed that certain mods don't seem to accept controller inputs, and if I try to use the right stick then A to select those UI elements that also doesn't work. Is there another button I should be pressing or a workaround I can use for this?
Edit: Since I was having trouble with some of the mods in this pack that were not designed with controllers in mind, I made a steam community controller profile that makes modded Balatro more comfortable by adding mouse emulation and useful hotkeys. If anyone wants to try it (especially to test), search for "Controller+ for Modded Balatro" in the community layouts on steam. Right trigger is used as a modifier button. While holding RT, X/Square selects flush, A/Cross selects groups (e.g. full house), Y/Triangle inverts selection, B/Circle deselects, LB sorts by rank, RB sorts by suit, and LT opens deck view. Left stick can be used as a virtual menu for the same functions. Right stick emulates the mouse. Holding LB/RB resets the run.
I replaced version.dll with the one from lovely beta6 but I'm still getting the crash, should I delete the lovely folder after all or reinstall the mod pack or something? Edit - Figured it out, I had to remove version.dll and launch the game and start a vanilla run, then put version.dll back.
There's nothing we can do since most mods simply don't have controller support in mind

Okay, so I deleted version.dll, cleared my entire Mods folder, launched the vanilla game and started a run, then quit and reinstalled the mod pack and put a fresh copy of version.dll from lovely beta6 in the game folder. After doing all of that and not disabling or modifying any mods, if I start a run and try to select "New Run" from the esc menu or "Play" from the title screen after exiting my current run, I get the same crash from my original message

Ahh okay so that is the one that I downloaded, but after I told firefox I wanted to overwrite the file I didn't see that it blocked it because it thinks lovely is a virus. So I actually still had Beta7 thinking it got overwritten, all good now. Thanks again!

I'm encountering a crash on the main branch of the modpack upon opening a polymino pack (this happened using the previous update)
in a new run opening a bonus pack causes this error message to occur
idk what mod adds bonus packs

entering ante 4 on this new run gives this error

well it looks like a mod conflict between cryptid and something. one of cryptid's patches doesn't seem to be getting applied so another one, one calling pseudorandom, is now passing a nil object

I was wondering about Dim's pack - it seems like It allows you to continue playing hands despite not having any when you've already completed the blind requirement. (each time you do, it puts another non-base event in que quickly causing lag). I was wondering how to turn that function off.
Also, is there a way to clear 'Other event queues' mid game? - or do I just need to restart my game every time it gets too laggy?

simplest answer is to disable not just yet, that's what allows for playing hands after hitting the requirements. the reason it lets you keep playing after hitting 0 is a conflict between it and bunco

I've had a few crashes, which file is the crash log, the ones in Mods/lovely/log? And just share the whole file?
the rank check is an error in steamodded. I have a pr for it but it hasn't been merged yet.

personally I usually prefer the full crash screen (like this one #💻・modding-dev message), since that has more information on the current running mods
I saved a video of most of the crashes so I could do a short clip showing a few seconds of what I did before the crash happened and then the crash screen, would that be any better? If that doesn't really help I can just grab a screenshot of each of the crash screens

It means that steamodded couldn't find the Rank for the card right? Seems like an issue waiting to pop up somewhere else, not just in :is_face
let me phrase it in another way - if steamodded cannot find the Rank, something else has gone pretty bad
and I feel like plastering a band-aid on is_face doesn't help solve the root cause there
either someone shouldn't have called is_face on a non-playing card, or someone set card.base.value to something unexpected
First crash was on the "One For All" challenge, game crashed right when completing a boss blind on ante -2. Second crash was on the "Shopping Spree" challenge which removes shops, game crashes as soon as you clear a blind seemingly due to missing shop. Also happens on the "Homeless Man" challenge which removes shops as well. Third crash is with the "Grocery Deck", seems to have a high chance of crashing whenever you complete a blind. I've disabled DebugPlus, Luna's Enhancedments, NotJustYet, Seed Unlocker, and Hand Preview.

You can uncheck the "remove mods folder" checkbox so the mods you added don't get wiped

Btw does anyone else think the planet cards added by Alice's Annum are stupid OP? I've won a lot of runs just because of them. Averaging the level of all hands rounded up is often just a free level for most of the hands, and the one that upgrades your last played hand by the number of times you played it is just ridiculous

First crash is Doodle joker from Bunco copying black color card. Second crash is using Rewind bonus blind when you have not played any blind yet (and also a weird interaction with double tag + blind pack)
On the subject of blind packs, how is buying them in the store supposed to work? I can only ever seem to use them immediately when I buy the packs in the store, which doesn't work. Am I missing something or is that a bug?
Hmm not sure, I have actually had it crash two different runs. Maybe a combined interaction with another joker? I've also disabled a few mods, don't know if that would be relevant: Alice's Annum, DebugPlus, Luna's Enhancedments, NotJustYet, Seed Unlocker, and Hand Preview
Bonus blind sin blind packs SHOULD be adding to your consumable slots instead of activating a blind

With either kbm or controller, the only option is to "Use". If it's a pack from a tag, it uses the bonus blind immediately. If it's in a shop it just does nothing, like in this clip

i think bunco and jimbos pack together break archeologist deck
because archeologist deck uses ease_ante and apparently one of bunco's variables is changed when that happens
First clip is crash caused by Big Earner joker from No Laughing Matter when completing a round. Second crash is caused by Fortuno joker from Jank Jonklers after reloading that game, selling Big Earner, and completing the round again. Fortuno is supposed to destroy numbered cards in first played hand, I had no problems with it before this. Not sure if quitting/resuming a run would also cause it to crash or if it only crashed because of the other crash.
I believe your no laughing matter is out of data. big earner was changed 2 days ago.

So I downloaded the manager, downloaded a modpack, and installed Lovely. It worked!...for one game. Now, any time I start a game, I get these errors:

No clue why it worked once, then stopped working even after reinstall, hopefully the downgrade works
That happened to me as well, if it still crashes here's what I had to do:
- Delete, move or rename version.dll in game folder (uninstalls lovely)
- Run the game, it'll be vanilla, start a vanilla run and quit/close game
- Add version.dll from lovely beta6 to game folder
Also I got another crash, caused by Calculator from CheesyJokers. It was eternal so I couldn't sell it and continue the run lol, RIP

Crash whenever I selected the Emerald Embedding boss blind from the Math Blinds mod, clip shows me rolling to a different boss with no crash, then loading state and crashing on Emerald Embedding. It still crashed even with all jokers removed

It's not a mod that would require BigNum due to too much scoring and there's very little that would have compat issues.

- Remotely populate modpack list, url, and description (so I can modify/add modpacks list without needing me to push a release every time)
- Automatically update manager to the latest everytime there's a newer release
- Skip mod excluding screen / install everything without confirmation
- Install modpack right after update/download
- Download/update multiple modpacks at once

My game speed is 16 - I have a funny feeling that's too much?
Talisman doesn't seem to be working for me. It's enabled and set to the max setting, but in my last run my score just changed to infinity after passing the vanilla score cap
It's kind of funny that if you score "infinity" the game doesn't think it's bigger than the goal for the blind, causing you to lose
My score would only have been a few orders of magnitude above the vanilla score cap, but it changed to infinity as soon as it passed the vanilla cap, nowhere near whatever 'OmegaNum' is

That’s usually how people score Infinity
As in did some of the joker values go to Infinity
Looking at the clip, my multiplier went to "naneinf" right after 10^306 or whatever, which resulted in a score of infinity. Climbed steadily, I just had a bunch of jokers with x43 multiplier. No broken values as far as I can tell
that just looks like Talisman's score limit increase wasn't applied

OK so after updating from the insane pack (I uninstalled first), then downloading the default pack with the manager, I opened up whatever a "bonus pack" is, I get this crash:

ok, looks like bonus_jokers weren't getting populated correctly. I pushed an update for sylvies that should help with that. for what it's worth bonus pack generally have cards that interact with card enhancements

- Crash when discarding hand with Hot Air Balloon joker
- Major FPS drop until restarting game as soon as a hand is played with Klein Bottle joker, and the joker doesn't seem to work. Happens with just one copy too
Both are from CheesyJokers. It also seemed like the Power of Neo joker from No Laughing Matter wasn't doing anything on a recent run, but maybe I was misunderstanding what it's supposed to do since the wording is a bit ambiguous
I'll replace cheesy joker to another port and see if it helps
if I'm reading this correctly I don't think we can expect Klein to work at all. looking at fixing it and I'm not entirely sure what the correct solution is. the descriptions makes it seem like you're just playing a hand of 8 (or whatever) and let balatro figure out what is the best hand to play, but it probably makes more sense to be splash-like and just score chips on all held cards

Usually its the other way around, the Steam launch gives vanilla while the manager gives modded

- can't spawn voucher directly (from what I can tell)
- oh but tokens exist, can use a bunch of voucher tokens to do it indirectly
- trying to view tokens in collection crashes the game

Crashes (Screenshots)
- Oops! All Oops! from Snow's Mods causing crash when selecting blind
2 & 3) Crash caused by FlowerPot, first when skipping blind (+2 common jokers), second when buying Fortune Teller joker in the shop. Probably got the same joker for the other crash or one that triggers the same issue - Crash caused by something from Bunco after playing a flush. I had Zero Shapiro and Critic from Bunco when it crashed (Critic had just been purchased)
- Crash when playing high card after buying Split Joker from BBBalatro. I played a pair the hand before and the joker worked
- Crash when playing first hand after getting Business Joker from Spicy Jokers
I didn't wanna post that many clips but if you think it would help for any of these lmk and I can grab the clip
Non-crash bugs:
- "The Rot" tarot card from The Dread Jokers just changed card into stone instead of making it "Rotting"
- The Trickster joker from LushMod 2 changed my legendary Feste from Jank Jonklers into a common joker
Possible balance concerns (Fine-tuned pack):
- Shredded Joker (common) from SpicyJokers - 1 in 4 chance to create a fool card when using any consumable. I've been able to power spike pretty heavily with this joker and tarot cards that give money, especially with other things in the mod pack that increase odds.
- Extraterrestrial (common) from Cheesy Jokers - 1 in 2 chance to copy planet cards when used. Crazy high odds especially for a common joker, I've gotten absurd levels on poker hands with this

"verify" can only check if all mods in the modpack are correctly downloaded by the manager
it cannot detect why a certain mod is broken in say, code-wise

Weird, it's failing to inject the loc_txt of this consumable due to G.localization.descriptions["Familiar_Spectrals"] not existing.

Looks like the Elbe's Pack has the outdated mod thing (a problem with old Nopeus IIRC?) that makes all the packs open at once if you have multiple tags that let you open packs.

Could you make the Bunco versions of the Spectrum hands take priority? The Six Suits versions only make sense when you start with a six-suit-or-more deck, and most decks start off with four suits.

So for submodules sometimes there's a detached head that is not current head, which will lead to improper installation

Okay this crash just happens at random when I win a Blind. Not every time, just randomly. Maybe it's the Balanced Sleeve?
If anyone on the modpack creator side is having trouble managing submodules I can probably help. I've had to do a lot of troubleshooting

that one I believe is caused by a minor issue in dx tarots. it's trying to look at the G.consumables area during the splash before it existed. I asked for a check to be put in but that doesn't seem to have been released yet'

Installing any pack that includes AureSpectral (which seems to be everything) throws an error about not being able to resolve the source, and subsequently fails to download most of the mods:

ok, I've created a fork of repentance with fixed missing images (the 1x images were there, but not the 2x). I also put a PR for it, but not sure how long that will take. I pushed updates for inks and colors and musical suits so they shouldn't crash anymore either. You may have to reclone for the repentance fork.
