I'm having a strange problem where my game is able to start modded, and the game recognises both mods (Talisman and cryptid) but crashes on run start, the error message returns something about "cry get shop voucher"

The palette isn’t wrong, it’s literally made from the raw image files. The game darkens any image that it draws

basically the game wasn't made in 1995 and uses a lot more than 128 or 256 colors, this is just an aproximate pallate to get the right vibes for jokers you might be makign

How are you achieving this? From my experiences you have to have a Color indexed image and then it just swaps the colours 1:1 with the new updated palette you load in.

ok, the asperite function of insetring indexed palletes is kinda broken, i picke dthe standard color wall and set the color to the pallete
i have 12k colors to put here
it seems like the apserite is only using the first 256

Does anyone know what that is? And if you know, should I be concerned about it?

pokermon is a perfect example
because there is an option for having only pokermon jokers
I think the better route is just allowing an override of the default handling for this menu.
I think that's something you can already do through hooking the buildModDesc function (whatever it's name is) and checking for your mod ID.
overriding is already possible by defining a custom_ui function
no need to hook even
i just made it use the "normal" system for descriptions

Is it possible to mod the localization (for base game) to support my language, if i do my own translations? And must it replace english, or can it work as a standalone selectable language, if i create one?
You can make your own localizations if u like
All i know is that SMODS has something for localizations but I don't know what
