I've grown to appreciate Cerulean Bell. It was really frustrating to watch during the Balatro invitational, since it meant that the participants had a much harder time organizing their strongest build, but as a "final boss" of a demo, forcing people to shift their build at the very end, or at least start thinking about it in advance, is a good idea IMO. Mouth is still my least favorite boss blind, but I think that's probably as intended

I like bell alot. You can get screwed over by bad rng but this can be mitigated by having more than one winning hand available in deck
so one punch builds suffer the worst
i can see ths boss effecting abanonded deck the hardest. Since that deck was all about crafting the perfect one shot hand (Atleast thats how i played it)

I guess I'll be the first to say, I don't like Cerulean Bell. I don't think it's too hard or anything, it's just a fun-ruiner. When I make a boring flush build where my deck is tons of a single suit and then the +4 multiplier for that suit, I can easily get through the Bell basically ignoring its shtick and get an all right score. When I try to make a weird build based on duplicated, heavily-enhanced cards, that's when Bell strikes and slaps them out of my hand at the worst possible moment.

Do we know if the "big boss" blinds are going to be fixed in the full release of the game, or are they just advanced teasers of the other boss blinds in the full game? If you know cerulean's coming up, you can prepare and/or accomodate it a bit, either by stocking tarots or changing your joker lineup

They're just different. One is about having a fight with seemingly unpredictable twists, the other is about your initial decision. Both require knowledge about the game and the current state of your deck and are thus interesting in their own ways. I love cerulean bell but I want different flavors.

I honestly liked Leaf a lot more than Bell but I have a hard time articulating why. I pictured Leaf as a smug villain going "mwahaha, try to reach THIS MANY points without one of your PRECIOUS JOKERS!". But when I brought in a good build, I was still mostly able to use it to its fullest potential (usually by selling a utility/money-making joker that wasn't relevant anymore)

The one problem with leaf is that it sometimes doesn't actually affect you (you can just sell a util joker)
