Yes plus the way of playing five card hands is a bit suboptimal like saving your potential cards that you can play from discarding which means discarding less cards and less space for seals/enhancements

Yes I think the hand size is a big plus for 5 cards (even tho it's also a big plus for pairs and HC cuz more seals and gold/steels)
