Endless cons

• theres only 1 or 2 core strategies that function in it
• takes forever to get a good run going and you get your back blown out if you don't get the boss reroll voucher
• takes a long time to do (not a real con)

Endless pros

• it changes the early game decision making you have to do (which I think is fun)
• you get to play one run for longer and build up your deck (which I think is fun)
• you get a nice dopamine hit when your gambling actually pays off and you get a good run

endless is definitely not the main point of the game, and it's not as skill based as Gold Stake, and since it's so limiting, it doesn't really make the best case for "good game design"

• but it wasn't made to be good game design, localthunk just gave us a way to access higher scores, since there's no way to beat it, imo it's not really even subject to being judged by game design standards

I think it's a fun way to push Balatro to it's limits. And I totally agree that it may be boring for some. Calling it outright horrible is a little disingenuous though in my opinion.
