We tell new players generally not to skip because they're not experienced enough at the game to properly weigh the opportunity cost of skipping vs playing a given blind
because skipping isn't inherently bad, it has a surprising amount of uses, it's just that said uses will have a much less relative chance of being useful in a run as opposed to playing the blind out as the latter leads to a consistent amount of money and joker scaling as well as the opportunity to see the shop
