long rant about social media and artists incoming (from someone who’s career is based in social media)

it helps to put things in perspective as the viewer. i dont think one art being posted takes away from any other art. timing on social media especially can be very hit or miss (if you need any advice about posting on which social medias when/how to format, i can answer Qs about it, maybe in #🃏・off-topic ) there is an audience for every artist, you just have to find it. the nsfwish enjoyers seek out what they like, whereas regular artists, you have to try harder to fit into a niche. either your style is unique enough or something else gathers your audience (personality, the topic of things you draw, etc)

this is advice for people who want to their posts to reach a broader audience. it can be luck based, but its also heavily relevancy based. if there’s an art meme going around, try to capitalize on it. continue drawing the things that make you happy, but memes…. memes are what goes viral. memes or especially impressive works within a niche. joker stocks are UP too so anything balatro related is bound to get some attention (if you interact with other balatro artists on socials) just make it recognizable at a glace (imagine how fast people scroll on TLs, you want it to be one/two solid works that catch your eye)

if youre an artist, you also have a biased timeline. you will see much more other artists so thats why i encourage supporting others (liking, sharing, commenting) on platforms cuz it helps build a networks outside of artists (i can explain this further if anyone is curious)

As in whatever the highest ranked hard is all cards will score is that (I.e you play a flush like [A Q 6 4 3] all space but the ace is glass so that makes all of the cards glass (and score 11 chips))?

No, it only count their rank, so the chip that they give.
