My condolences. Here in middle-east Europe we're having the coldest winter in the last 15+ years. But it's not horrible. And also in the viewpoint of thermodynamics, cold is better than heat in survival aspects. There is an absolute minimum of temperature, and with near perfect heat isolation, that bullet can be easily dodged. On the other end however, drastic heat is worse to handle and temperature has no upper limit in theory.

Checked your uploaded photos @edgy pike . Real photo combined with 3D kinda reminded me a school project I did. Used Blitz 3D, created "high polygon count sphere", applied environmental cubic mapping (basically using 6 textures as a side of a virtual cube but in practice those 6 textures per side are applied on any form of 3D object). So I made this sphere as background, textures were applied inside and the render view was inside aswell, it was the environment/background. Within that I used smaller but still high polycount spheres with environmental cubic mapping aswell, but their 6 textures were rendered side by side, individually. As result and after several renders, they've reflected the environment and eachother aswell, from the starting frame of no textures - because of the distances - the details built up and the textures became smooth and the starting "lack of data" black disappeared after many render steps. It was a fun project, rendered it as high resolution as I could, then went to a photo shop and they made it to an actual physical photo and I won the class contest. It was fun, back in around 2003 IIRC and Blitz 3D/limited hw of mine was anything but optimal for this task, so I was happy with the achievement.

About Blender: I've tried very early in my teen years when it was really unstable and kind of unpopular/unknown widely (around when 3DSMax 2-3 was present), for no particular purposes I just fooled around with it but got fed up with the instability (I was lame aswell, so as my HW/OS)
Few years ago I used Blender again for making a meme. You know the movie intro for the UNIVERSAL studios? Someone made it in Blender, and few years ago there were a stupid trolling tendency going on with making people read the following: "If you don't reply to this post your mother will die in her sleep tonight". Mostly on imageboards - not gonna specify any.
Anyway the animation, the buildup, whatsoever of the UNIVERSAL intro made it perfect, as it only revealed the full text (with some teasing/build up through making the viewer watch the animation) at the end. I made that version of that meme using that UNIVERSAL intro Blender template.
Cheap trolling, simple minded joke, yet it has its temporal and local fame and admiring and was funny in some form.

It has trolling potential of posts as fake but upcoming movie trailers or things like that.

The best thing I've got/recieved from that workplace is a stray dog from ~2 years ago, 16 of february, 2024. to be precise. It was a puppy following some workers coming into the facility at the morning shift. I had to do something about her because she was in the way of traffic. Lost and dumb but curious little fella. Cars were going in an out at the shift end/next one's beginning. I took herself inside of my building since I couldn't leave her out and possibly witness its unfortunate death, and after ending my 24h shift I also couldn't go home without her following me. So I took her home in my hugging arms. Asked FB and nearby ppl. if anyone recognizes her as their lost puppy. Nobody responded as her owner for weeks, some just admired how cute she was as a response but that was it. I have no family or kids, she is the only living entity in my life to love.

Covid was this. Ofc it was a new mutation of a virus, but mutations happens constantly. It was labeled and globally sold by the media for reasons, along with the tests, vaccine manufacturers (using taxpayers money for developing stuff in a hurry - unsafe or placebo at best) made huge profit. If we as taxpayers funded that basically, shouldn't we recieve the profit aswell? Or atleast a marginal part of it.
