the gold stake strategy is pairs, random card selected doesnt effect that very much at all and usually neither does cards debuffed. acorn is free 90% of the time because of the grab tech and the remaining 10% need one hand played to confirm everything

meanwhile, a blind being 3x as strong as you were expecting is just incredibly hard

if youve got a standard gold stake setup (for example a scaling +mult, scaling chips joker, and xmult) 2 of these boss blinds fuck you over and the other 3 are fine

even if ur relying on trigger scoring, chances are you dont need all of your non eternal jokers

Gave it another shot when anaglyph didn't get me any neg tags two runs In a row, which prompted me to buy slay The spire, and a steam deck (boy do I love mods) fast-forward a month later, and I thought I'd give it another shot. It was the perfect run with a negative tag on ante seven. I had about 10 to 12 new gold stickers, hot off the press. Then got hit with violet vessel. There was no fathomable way that my pair build was gonna make 1.2 mil, and I never came across That re-roll voucher. It seems to me like I have to get iron chad to ascension 20 and THEN the lord might let me come back and get my sweet, sweet extra plus sign.
