Personally, I like the convenience of a gaming headset. I don't need a bunch of fancy stuff to do EQ, or any interface. Buuut IEMs do sound better than gaming headsets overall.

Just a damn shame that my ears don't tolerate IEMs.

I use A40 TR's for my xbox. Theyre always on the tournament EQ setting so it boosts foot steps and voice comms. He probably needs to tune his EQ.

in ears can have decent bass and can actually be better in many ways than over ear headphones. the issue with IEMs is ususally comfort. they dont always fit everyone well and can cause a lot of bad experiences if they are the wrong shape. I have what I think are really nice IEMs, but I prefer over ears because they are more comfortable

the market is absolutely flooded with dirt cheap IEMs. some sound ok, some sound good, and many sound terrible. so people get told cheap IEMs are the way often without specific recommendations and get their opinion shaped by things that may not be very good

If you reach out to support you can likely request a new dongle. G Hub does have an option to resync one to a new receiver.

Otherwise in the meantime you ideally want to see if Windows is swapping your microphone inputs with the wired VS to old dongle/receiver setup.

All microphones should show up in those settings, whether hard wired, Bluetooth, or other wireless. You may be able to find a restore or reset option incase some were disabled which would hide them from the list.
Alternatively there is a way to look at all inputs even disabled I believe.

You mentioned previously it doesn't find the mic, which is a bit different than not connecting at all. If not connecting at all are you using the original Logitech cable? You'll need a cable that can handle power and data delivery to get the connection rather than just charging only.

i am using the logitech cable, occasionally it connects but disconnects after a few minutes. i've tried charging and connecting other devices with the wire on my laptop and it works perfectly fine so i'm not sure why this issue is coming up with my headset

I have a 5080 and the PC benchmarked top 1% graphics. So per passmark, much less than 1% of pc's have 5090's.

Very few people have a need for a $2000 graphics card.

If you like the aesthetic, I believe the G502X is a complete upgrade.
Better charging, less sharp - but still gamer aesthetic, and a few upgrades from a polling rate and software perspective. I think the biggest thing is that it has USB-C charging which is much better than the older variant.
The next bit is that I believe it is considered much more durable.

I believe this is due to Microsoft locking down their games' executable files (.exe) which G Hub needs to link to. You can't copy/paste, change information about them (like when G Hub tries to get metadata about the game to add to the library), or anything else.

• -# Not even normal admin access or running Command Line Interfaces or G Hub in admin mode will work with this.

• These may still work on older versions of G Hub, but Beta and anything new doesn't have the ability to override the metadata so I don't think that method works anymore.

So overall this is a Microsoft problem. Not a Logitech problem. Soz.

The only work around that I'm aware of right now that doesn't involve crazy database editing (which can really mess up your installation) is to:

1. Create a .bat file that runs the game launcher .exe file.

• You can have text like this to have the .bat file run a game. start /d "C:\XboxGames\Minecraft Launcher\Content" Minecraft.exe

2. Convert that .bat file into a .exe file.

• There is no super-easy way to do this. This program is likely the best.. but please do scan the file and careful since this host has a ton of fake and dubious download buttons: https://en.softonic.com/download/bat-to-exe-converter-x64/windows/post-download?dt=internalDownload

3. Save that .exe output file somewhere convenient (I may just personally save them in a top level folder right next to the XboxGames folder with something like C:\XBoxGameShortcuts).
4. Add those .exe files that really just run a shortcut to your respective games using the manual option in G Hub.

• This won't get metadata so you would only have to go off of name and no other filter will work unless you check out the database editing possibilities.. I have the Logitech super light Dex 2 but it’s the software itself not the mouse that updated it’s just updated differently than it has before it didn’t mention a firmware update or anything like that it started the update automatically after boot of the pc and it was slow but nothing out of the ordinary with the update it disconnected other peripherals except the monitor and my sound had an x on it and then they all reconnected the desktop icon for the g hub software turned to paper lost the icon and then disappeared and then it came back in the process of all of this happening I received a notification from windows system saying Logitech g hub virtual bus enumerator requires a system restart. After the update finished it booted back up g hub software with a new ui so id assume it updated or did something cause it was different ui since I last opened the software after it completed I went to restart the computer I restarted on next boot my mouse felt weird as if you were driving to an edge of a cliff but could never fully drive off the cliff your car would instantly halt when reaching the edge of the cliff that’s the best way to put what my mouse feels like after the boot i went into g hub i have automatic updates enabled/turned on but i went into g hub and checked for updates and then it said an update was available and proceeded to install it and then it did the same update that it did the first time I saw the g hub desktop icon disappear and comeback without the paper it just removed the icon and came back made the usb disconnection sound and then reopened g hub and gave me the same patch notes as it did the first time with the same ui

I figured out the issue for why some people are not getting results when resetting pc it is becuase Fast Startup is enabled in windows settings, so when you reset you pc its not fully resetting windows and is saving the current windows files , so your not getting a true reset, i disabled this reset pc, and redownloaded ghub and now it works fine,

Overall it sounds like something did get messed up with a major jump in versions.
If you are still seeing issues even after a restart or two you can try to do a complete uninstall of G Hub. Ideally your mouse should act like a standard mouse without G Hub, but reinstalling it should get the latest version with all the appropriate drivers from: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/software/ghub

To get a complete reinstall check out this program Uninstalr. I've had the best luck with this and it has fixed some older bugs G Hub used to get stuck on. So hopefully that's a fairly quick process rather than troubleshooting a ton of stuff.

I think its one of the better headsets for casual gamers.
It has a lot of flexible features some cheaper headsets may be missing:

• adjustable headrest height
• USB-C charging
• replacement cushions from a few sources
• Bluetooth and 5.0GHz dongle
• Replaceable battery!

Major cons:

• I believe the G Hub support isn't quite there. Not a big deal if you don't like it anyways.
• Microphone is not great.. but I believe that to be true of almost any non-professional office headset.

Overall something like the G325 may be another option. Usually a bit less bulky, may have more color options, and should have better support for the G Hub Blue Voice filters.
-# The G Hub BlueVoice filters are pretty important to get the most out of a headset microphone (almost all of which are pretty poor quality in my opinion).

I'm not positive of a built-in widget for Windows. You can usually right-click on the G Hub icon to get battery levels of your connected peripherals in the Windows Tray (usually bottom right of desktop). You can also often see battery level in the same tray for Bluetooth devices.

If you wanted a custom one I would recommend looking at getting the information via a script and displaying it as a desktop widget in whatever fashion your coding/artistic capabilities can come up with.
I good start might be:

• Download and install Rainmeter to customize your desktop.
• Utilize a script like here: https://forum.rainmeter.net/viewtopic.php?t=36516
• -# Overall I would call this a medium amount of code work. Rainmeter if quite friendly as an entry code-level setup with only really needing to worry about 1 or 2 lines of command line interface (CLI) to make the gap.

I would double-check to make sure your connection are clean and fully/firming plugged in. That goes for the entire "pipeline" that connects to the computer.

As a troubleshooting step you can see if twisting or partially plugging it in has the buzzing early/late or sporadically.
Otherwise it would be good to test another headset/cord if possible.

It's incredible how Logitech is making a fool of me. I bought two products from the PRO line, a Logitech G Pro X2 headset and a Superlight 2 mouse. I made several videos for Logitech showing the defect, and the agent himself confirmed both defects. Now they're asking me for more videos. Besides that, they said my date of birth doesn't match the one on my ID. Seriously??? This doesn't make any sense. You can likely use Onboard Memory Manager if you have a dual boot or another way to get it set. (will not work with some macros and scripts!).
or perhaps Piper, which is the only one I've heard of. Not big into Linux from a personal standpoint though.

Yes, I used Logitech's official contact systems. I had opened a conversation with an agent on the website, but no one responded. The conversation continued via emails and video files on Google Drive. I had to remove the earcup from the headset twice, and it's a bit complicated to put back on. I showed the serial numbers of both products and the ticket number several times, but they keep finding things to ask for. I had already sent the invoice because the agent had already confirmed the product defects.

I've recently had my G502 X Plus having issues with left and right click buttons. They're sometimes fixed by themselves when putting the mouse to idle while turned off for an hour. But it sometimes just happen again, both of them (and sometimes also the middle button click) stop responding. The rest of the mouse worked fine.

As the warranty has passed, I've disassembled the mouse by myself and cleaned the board (removed things stuck inside) but still can't find the problem. If looking for help for cases like this is allowed, what info/pictures can I provide and what can I do to solve this? Thanks!

Like Meepy mentioned, your spatial audio may play a big part in footsteps. Since only footsteps were mentioned I assume everything else is working correctly.
The Pro X 2 headset handles most of the spatial audio in G Hub if I recall correctly.. but other things like Sonic for Windows can have an effect.. sometimes negatively if mixing options.

You can usually right-click your sound icon at the bottom left Windows Tray and go to Sound Settings. From there you can find your Pro X 2 and check out Advanced Settings where Spatial Sound should be. You, I believe, want it Off when using G Hub. Otherwise something like Windows Sonic for Headphones can mess with the G Hub spatial audio.

In G Hub, you can usually search for some equalizers and spatial settings. Enable the spatial audio in G Hub and set your own equalizer or use the Community tab at the top to check out what others use like this (as an example):

Just opened it, has two different weight covers for the bottom of the mouse but no weights to add. lol

Just for some additional information. The mouse should function with standard windows functionality without any software. However G Hub does have the option for most up-to-date firmware and drivers and is highly recommend. Sometimes the software doesn't work as intended or you just prefer for the hardware to remember its settings (especially if you move it to different computers - even ones without G Hub, like a work computer). If either of those is the case you can use Onboard Memory Manager to change settings without all the overhead of G Hub (once updated and set up with G Hub).

The simplest setup is likely to utilize the profile cycle option usually found under System remap options. This can have other effects since profiles can store a large amount of options.. but if you only change the Lightsync color effects this could effectively be a keyboard light profile cycle as you mentioned. At least if I understood things correctly.

If I understood you correctly, you only have:

1. The USB-C connections on the back/side of your desktop/laptop available.
2. You are connecting your mouse via a singular USB-C to USB-C cable
3. and this setup doesn't respond.

I can't say I've done that directly as the default cables are usually USB-C to USB-A. However, there is a good chance your USB-C to USB-C cord mentioned in 2. is another brand cable and that it is only supplying power delivery (PD) and not data. Without the data capability your mouse will charge, but cannot send its movements to the computer. We'd have to look into that cable.

If you wanted to use the original cable you got with the mouse (likely USB-C to USB-A). You can use an adapter. Logitech has one here... but honestly any adapter that supports data and power transfer would be fine from Amazon or Best Buy as well. 👍

Are you saying that with your motherboard some of your ports are going direct to your chipset versus going through host controllers?

Again I would double-check your cable since there hasn't been any definition on what it is or what its capabilities are. Since almost any USB port should work fine. Understandable if you wanted higher polling rates you'd try to bypass the ones that have a host controller and go for the ones towards a chipset instead.. but maybe I'm behind on the nomenclature.

It may help to get:

1. Your motherboard model.
2. Your cord brand/part number/link.

Im going direct to CPU. There 3 motherboard USB ports on my PC (MSI GODLIKE) that go directly to CPU and bypass Chipset. Those have the lowest possible latency. I have several USB-C cords rated for PD and data, I dont have access to the part number, but for some reason my Gpro Superstrike does not work if the USB Receiver is plugged into any USB C port, CPU, Chipset, or Host Controller

It will work if the USB C cord is directly plugged into the front of the mouse and simultaneously charge and pass mouse positions, but the USB C receiver does not work

You should use the Marius Heier direct to CPU link I sent you, not all motherboard documentation will inform you of which USB ports are direct to CPU (and every motherboard has them). It gives better polling consistency and the lowest possible latency. His powershell command line tool will report what devices are connected to what ports. When I first tested this a long time ago on a different PC I had my most important devices connected on the ports with the highest latency unknowingly.

The test is: hold scroll click down then slowly relase the hold, is the input released before the physical click up occurs?

Yes, with the linear (pictured) you can just pull them off. There may be slightly more "snap" on the clicky ones.
There are tools to help if you are pulling all of them off regularly for a slightly quicker/easier cleaning such as:
