Does anyone know what level Usahana needs to be for into the fog again to unlock? Wiki says it’s unlocked but my game is saying to be better friends with Usahana….? I have her at level 22.

into the fog again has a bunch of quests that need to be done to unlock it but the quest message will stay the same saying level and quests even if one is done and the other is not. I know it is level 24 or lower to unlock it, but also having unlocked and done just about every other city town quest first

The wiki doesn’t say, so it’s probably not certain what quests are required. But Into the Fog, Again is the beginning of that last few quests in the City Town Finale, so it’s fairly safe to say you should do Café Rush if you want to get there. (On Arcade, we had Café Rush a few months while ago, so this wasn’t an issue for us.)

I used the ability again, this time for Froggy Power #7 and once again it happened first try.

I'm just gonna assume that there's some type of system that changes your ||reroll|| luck because there's absolutely no way I got three legendary comics back to back to back. Im gonna look into it and experiment next reset to see how it works or if I'm just insanely lucky.

Edit: The Wiki supports this, rarer items are favored to spawn. Yeeeeah Usahana is easily the best character in HKIA gameplay wise.

Until this year, when clients at the Imagination Café would give us extra rice or fruit or whatever along with our city coins, they used to tell us they had found it on the floor! (Maybe the wording was “laying around”… whatever, the implication was the floor, and it definitely wasn’t sanitary.)

Granted, giving us food they found “in my pockets” is hardly better. The one that says, “I found it behind a plant, but it’s sealed” is surely a reaction to our horror of the floor food.

Cafe Rush is not required for Into the Fog, Again. @marble pewter Cafe Rush is still locked behind Usahana's bestie quest, but all platforms have been able to do Into the Fog, Again and the quests after that.
I don't know the exact requirements for Into the Fog, Again, but it's probably something like ||fully upgraded Sashimi Spire + Closing Night + Open For Business||.

Right, by the time you have finished helping ||Kirimi-chan and the spire||, you will have unlocked anything required for those quests. There shouldn’t be anything that can softlock you there.

Cafe Rush needs another quest to unlock that we dont get until Usahana friendship level 35. For the AA folks, Best Friends was set to level 20 so it didnt cause a problem, but they changed Best Friends to 35 in the update/release so Cafe Rush unlocks wayyyy before the pre-requisite quest. It's not required to complete any of the other quests up to or including Into the Fog, Again though

A couple of days ago @solemn goblet was trying to work out the requirements for into the fog again as well and at the time thought it would unlock after doing "last but not least" and either "talk of the town" or "speed runner".. I'm holding off on doing the arcade quests until after i can do last but not least (i unlock inspo buddies tomorrow) to help figure out which one... but if the sashimi stuff is also needed, I'm nowhere near any of that stuff, so is it still necessary for me to do those arcade quests later or not? (I probably will wait with them till tomorrow either way, i simply don't have more time to play today anyway 🥲 other stuff I've been putting off to do instead.. but curious if the help for the wiki is still needed)

As far as I can tell, it's something like Speed Runner > On the Case > The Game is Afloat > ||Sashimi Spire upgrades|| and the quests those unlock > Closing Night > Into the Fog, Again.
I don't know the waits between quests. I'm assuming that Open for Business is also required because there were some lines that mention the cafe.

I know they are saying the Closing Night quest isn't a bug and is by design but it's the worst design ever. It should be clear what is needed and not displaying you have what is needed but then later displaying you don't have enough to give. It should be clear you need to make the same item rather than letting people waste resources making foods that don't even count. If this many people are having an issue with it, it should be changed to reflect the true item/count needed. Very frustrating!

i understand it's frustrating. unfortunately all the quests work that way if you have to give multiple items. it needs to all be a complete stack of one item. most items don't sort as separately as the city town food though (it's all the different color variations)

Understandable, but then it shouldn't say 97/10 when you really don't have the 10 you need - if it doesn't fulfill the requirement it shouldn't show it as such. You are under the impression you have what you need when you don't. I haven't had this issue with other quests and it seems like many other people have had the same complaint. It seems like it would be easy to change the wording/item count to correctly show what is actually required for the quest. I hope they can update it for future players.

The order is "Into the Fog, Again" > ||"Regroup and Retrain"|| > ||"The Heart of Imagination"||.
Other quests like "Cafe Rush" just depend on Usahana's friendship level or a friendship level-locked quest.

As far as we can tell, yes!
It does kind of feel like there are more mysteries to solve, like how we eventually got more stuff after the conclusion of the Friendship Island story, but I don't know if there's more stuff in the DLC we haven't seen yet. For Wheatflour Wonderland, I think I remember them saying that the DLC was complete on release and wouldn't be getting more added, so the same might apply to City Town.

But, for me and some others, there's speculation that something is up with TOPHAT and City Town. TOPHAT used to be on the (edit: City) beach with Big Challenges in version 2.12, but he was abruptly removed in version 2.13 -- however, we were told it wasn't a bug. 🧐

I’m stuck close night quest and yes, I know I need 10 of the same imaginary fish to complete the event but spawning is also absolutely terrible for the salmon and tuna and the eels. I have to smell like a good half an hour catching them and if I make them in the wrong order, it doesn’t count 😤 there needs to be clear indicators on which fish is what instead of a simple fish icon and also could someone help me capture some salmon tuna and eels???

I recommend going for the tuna and just entering and exiting the pipe there. It makes them respawn immediately.

For the quest, I just caught 10 tuna, 10 urchins, and used other things to fill in the other ingredients (probably strawberries and bananas, since I have plenty). It was over pretty quickly for me, but I'm pretty familiar with how the chef's station and quests work.

They have to be at least the grown (troweled plant) stage and able to spawn. It's okay if it's, for example, used near a tulias + trim marigold pair, but it won't work if it's just near past event flowers.

Unless the event flowers are currently spawning, like eggworts will be during Meh.

It's usually recommended to keep flowers you are trying to breed plucked & fertilized (outside the greenhouse) to encourage spawns. Reimagine guarantees a spawn in that one spot even without fertilizer, however.

Keep in mind that reimagine just works on what is possible, so it can't do something like make an event flower spawn more event flowers out-of-season (out of the greenhouse).

When two players visit each other for the first time, they need to take selfies together with their camera. That completes the first multiplayer task and unlocks gifting most items.
However, some items can't be gifted, and clothes gifting is locked behind level 13 multiplayer friendship, which takes 12 weeks of completing weekly multiplayer friendship tasks with the other player.

It looks like you don't have a platform role. You should pick one through the id:customize menu; you might also want to check what channels you are following afterwards in the channels side of the menu.
Then, you can use your platform's unlock-multiplayer channel to get the Multiplayer role for your platform and access to those channels.

It seems to be a bug, but some players have actually gotten that many when asking a Nul or Best Friend to collect it. I should be doing that every day too before it's patched.

(I guess we don't know there isn't some other area yet to come when Usahana is best friend that might have the extra items, but the developers have not hinted that that will happen.)

not really sure how the reward system works for city run, but for the other two, let's say, 5 games on easy for perplexing pipes gives you as many buckeroos as an easy round on mail city. if you're good at the pipes thing, it might compensate

Okay, so for the flowers, she increases the chance of a great flower happening. The wiki says a new spawn is guaranteed; I thought one day I didn’t have one, but usually I have. Some days, a great flower will occur. (The best result you have set up.) If that happens, there’s a cooldown period in which probably nothing great will happen; then the good luck starts building every day again.

So don’t plant it in a place with nothing around it; just like in the greenhouse, you need parent plants to make magic happen.

Basically i don't know if you can do this on purpose and idk if you should want to 😂 😭

I think my game was getting a bit wonky in general just now bc i started a quest afterwards and for some reason usahana was underwater by the sushi boat thing with an exclamation mark, but i could not talk to her there at all... so i closed and reopened my game and now she's on one of the roundabout things in front of the cafe and i think that's where she was actually meant to be before. No idea how she ended up by the boat underwater instead

I had to take a picture of a crowbert flying to get it to be accepted. I took ~3 pictures of crowberts running around which were not accepted, then I was able to get a picture of a crowbert flying and that worked.

I don't remember the number but one of the Hungry Figments didn't accept coconut as "tropical" when making boba teas, it only accepted pineapple even though both of them have tropical tag and coconuts have worked in all the other tropical foods.

I don't know what to call those icons if not tags, English is not my 1st language. In city town cooking there's own icons and pineapple and coconut both have the tropical icon that results to food labeled as tropical. But in this one quest only pineapple works and not coconut even though the quest tells you to make tropical boba.

Fruit trees work differently, so you can't enable autocollect for fruit. However, you can ask the purple collector nul by the orchard to pick all your fruit currently available.

Try exiting to the title screen and reentering your game? Sometimes characters experience a pathing bug and get stuck until you reload your save. If they aren't where the quest expects them to be, that's when this issue usually happens.

But almost everyone has some place to hang out in City Town, except TOPHAT, the LittleTwinStars, and (if you have Wheatflour) Cogimyun — though Cogimyun does get one quest that affects City Town.

You have to make a stack of ten of the exact same sushi rolls (same ingredients) in the exact same order.

If you try to give, you'll probably see that you have smaller stacks with 4 and 6 or whatever, and none of 10.

I do understand why all the tropical and refreshing and tart mochis don't stack bc they have different colours. So you can make a triple tropical dango with 3 different colour mochi and the order you put them in is also visible on the final dango you create. It is kind of confusing at first but also kind of fun to get creative with it on purpose. But yeah for the sushi roll quest it's very frustrating that the game isn't upfront about that.

There are currently a few items that are unobtainable. One we think is a City trash can. There's also a wallpaper and 2 floorings that were previously obtainable on Apple Arcade due to bugs but are not currently. The devs are aware of those -- I don't know if they fix will be in 2.16, but I hope so.
There's also the Modern Simple Rug, which no one has gotten because it's Usahana's level 30 reward. I think Arcade players should be around level 27/28 with Usahana right now, at most.
