Again, all that was said, is that there will be talks about City Town next month for other platforms. We won't have much more information than that right now. It is a possibility that we might have a paid DLC due to the fact that, it has been mentioned before..

Everyone gets the character too (excluding possibly those who haven't met pre-requirements, the way you could only get Retsuko's Mom when she was introduced if you already had Haida).

I've actually been paying for it for years as part of AppleOne and not using it, so this game was a really great thing for me. But the number of people who abandoned months or years of progress to switch from AA to Switch or Steam (or soon PS5) — even though it meant also losing City Town for now — suggests that the cost is a real impediment for many.

If we didn't have it as part of AppleOne, it would cost $8.99/month each plus taxes here in Canada.

City Town will almost definitely be DLC, I'm fine with that, it's been in development for ages, they should probably make an actual profit off of the work.

What does interest me is how they'll handle the rest of the island City Town is on. I could see them handling it like "you buy the DLC and you have the entire 2nd Island, you just have to wait"

Who shut you down? Paid DLC are common on Switch and Steam. No one WANTS a paid DLC, of course. But that's just how it happens. And it's often the fastest way to get new content, too... updates take a long time on Switch 🙁

Since you are on Arcade, make sure your app is updates. On Apple Arcade, event items appear only in the event stand now (it has multiple tabs). ||Kuromi and My Melody furniture is from the Treasure Hunt feature, not originally from the shops.||

But not every event has. Imagination Celebration took place 4/15/24 and 4/18/25. the friendship festival happened 7/28/23, 7/25/24, and 7/27/25. Spooky celebration was 10/01/23 but 9/27/24.

I think gold stars still fit as receiving gold stars was a sign of good grades in primary school. I remember we got stars for not pulling a card that day and end of month we got a toy from the prize bin. receiving

Sometimes events think people "missed" the previous day(s) and will give them extra currency on the first day. I believe it's been reported happening in the past but isn't something seen as vital to fix, since, at worst, a few people get extra currency.

That's fair, but the usual that I've seen in all past events is you find 7 around Seaside and then 1 from each daily. I only got 5 in the pencil case and 4 from dailies.

About the random amount in boxes, the devs said last year that the event is designed for 5 from the pencil box daily. While the pencil box can contain up to 10 (if it's the same as last year), any amount more than 5 is a random bonus.

Keep in mind that not all events give the same amount of currency. If we didn't have the RNG bonus, I think everyone would be getting 5 from the boxes, not 7, since that's what they have said they calculated everything based on.

The one thing we do know is that all past items return with each event run, because nothing is permanently missable in game

Right, there are plenty of things we can't know for sure - basically, anything about how the next event will work is a guess. However, even if an event is entirely replaced/renamed (like with how Hello Kitty's 50th Anniversary is getting replaced with the Interlude of Dreams), what we know for sure is that the event items/outfits will always be available again during the returning event or the event that replaces it.

If something isn't available, it's either a bug (like how the dyeable school skirt is missing from the Scholastic Celebration) or something coming later (like how the Launch Event Palette was distributed through a dev mail).

Calendars run concurrently. You don’t have to finish one before you collect the other. You just need to make sure you collect all calendars for each day. Otherwise you won’t progress on the one you don’t collect

that's for deluxe only. they weren't included in deluxe so this is just the first time they'd be available for the platforms

we have those notes on all clothing items that were between the items in deluxe and the game launch

The other is Jam Danish (Flour + Jam + Toasted Almond)

Though a dev hasn't confirmed, Jam Jars should stay because they can now be used for cooking. (That's the usual rule for event currencies.)

They can still grow, but they can't spawn outside the greenhouse. You can still fertilize them for their default striped pattern.

Question: why, other than I think launch anniversary, is the friendship festival in July to August? It seems poor timing especially for younger players and general mid-year burnout with all the events. November feels like it would be so much better since Halloween draws in a lot of players who were on break. I’m especially sad I missed this years theme since it looks like roaring 20s 🥲

The Friendship Festival is when it is because that is when the game launched on Apple Arcade (late July 2023). It was originally the Launch Celebration but changed to the Friendship Festival; the International Day of Friendship happens during it.

The event stand is gone, so you can't use them to buy items anymore. You can use them for recipes or just keep them in your inventory for next year.

Umm. So you need a spooky outfit to go trick or treating but all the spooky clothing costs the item you get for trick or treating…since the daily rewards doesn’t include clothing until day 7 am I out of luck until then?
