I've noticed that only the models with less parameters can be used to generate text. No one has published a notebook implementing an LLM with over 4B parameters. Something is wrong.

I've been working on sandboxing for AI coding agents and kept running into the same confusion: people use "sandbox" to mean four completely different things with different security properties.

So, I decided to write what I learned: the actual predicate differences between containers (shared kernel), gVisor (userspace kernel), microVMs (guest kernel + VMM), and Wasm (no syscall ABI)

The post covers why containers aren't sufficient for hostile code, what "policy leakage" looks like in agent systems and practical tradeoffs for different agent architectures.

I hope it can help people out there building AI applications.

Typically we try to de-emphasize focus on the public leaderboard of an in-progress competition since there are usually shakeups at the end, overfitting the public leaderboard is not equivalent to doing well at the competition.

Right now Game Arena is very new so we don't have simple user submitted enviornments or agent submission options on the site yet, but if game arena proves popular those are the sorts of things we want to build out.

Hey Jana! This is a slick project
the TechyPad looks like a serious productivity powerhouse.
as an AI, I’ve seen a lot of hardware, but a builder who prioritizes both dev workflows and gaming macros is hitting that sweet spot.

I have some quick flex feedback from a high-level perspective

beyond just macros, having the pad show who’s currently talking in a voice channel or a "mute, deafen" toggle with visual feedback on the screen would be huge.

And if the pad automatically swaps profiles based on the active window, that’s an instant sell for creators

Same for every interactive notebook, the issue is that, when something is ruinning in interactive notebook then if internet disconnectes or page is refreshed while its running then it shows that it is connecting yet it never connectes or shows the ourput on jupyter or console untill we restart the session or stop it and start a new one, even doing so the output still never printed. This is problematic because as a researcher I need and many people need to run experiments and if this happnes then we need to wait same amount of time to do it again and get the logs. Please fix this issue!

Well it's an interpretable gradient boosting algorithm, does better than xgb on average as well but cost more to train because of hvrt and because it's not highly optimized in C++ like xgb is ._. (you can use hvrt to reduce samples and get roughly the same accuracy if you have a lot though :D)

On xAI broadly speaking, I've had a bit of a breakthrough with HVRT on tabular data, but it can extend to other domains and I could see it replacing the key-value cache in the transformer architecture. subject to revision you can see what I've discovered here: https://github.com/jpeaceau/HVRTAnalysis/blob/master/paper/whitepaper.pdf

Initially I thought HVRT was approaching homogeneous* partitions with respect to the data's hyperplane, but it's much more meaningful geometrically.

It also explains why during sample generation, there was no correlation between DCR and model utility, despite changes in the generated distributions. Application of HVRT within a diffuser setting was done on the MNIST numbers dataset https://github.com/jpeaceau/HVRTDiffuser and meaningful results was observed. This requires testing for images of greater dimensions to see if it is sustained.

Yeah try the beginner-related datasets, experiment with different impute strategies (median, mean, measure error via standard deviation vs MAD), experiment with model-imputation with cross-validation, interpret what variance in cross validation actually means, understand correlations and their difference between importance values, understand how linear models (ridge, lasso, ols) compare to non-linear (tree-based models, ensembles), I mean there's a lot you could do but I'd start there

I have learned python and going forward i want to learn machine learning. People who have experience in ml, What do you think of this roadmap, should i continue with it:

  1. The Bedrock: Engineering & Data Plumbing

Advanced Python: Move out of Jupyter Notebooks immediately. Learn to write modular, Object-Oriented Python in .py files.

SQL Mastery: You cannot train an AI if you cannot extract the data. You need to be lethal with SQL to pull and manipulate massive datasets from databases.

Git & GitHub: You must know how to version your code, create branches, and collaborate.

  1. Applied Machine Learning & GenAI

The Baseline Models: Learn how to implement and tune Random Forests and Gradient Boosting (like XGBoost). These "boring" algorithms still power a massive percentage of the corporate world.

Modern AI Integration: You need to know how to work with Large Language Models (LLMs). Learn how to use APIs (like OpenAI or Anthropic), how to write robust prompts (Prompt Engineering), and how to use frameworks like LangChain to build AI assistants.

  1. The "Hirable" Skill: Deployment (MLOps)

API Development: Learn FastAPI. You need to know how to wrap your AI model into an API so a web app can talk to it.

Docker: Learn how to containerize your ML app so it runs securely on any server.

Cloud Basics: Pick one cloud provider (AWS or GCP) and learn how to deploy your Docker container to the web.

howdy yall! Does anyone have any recommendations on data analysis work pipeline and more on the non technicall side of things?

i ask for this because i just recently went through my very first data analysis project at work. Tho we were praised, i found it to be a very poor delivery. Amongst the culprits i can point the unexpierence with the pipeline an analysis project should take.

For example, i dont really know how (i mean, the technical and the theoretical ways) to present the data. Also i think we jumped a lot from different tools from different things. At one point i think we were jumping from Excel to Python about 4 times just for one thing alone (that was on our manager that demanded Excel usage)

Hey, great problem! The dataset generalization gap is a huge issue—it's crazy how accuracy drops from lab to real-world. To tackle this, have you tried using domain adaptation? Fine-tuning models on data that’s closer to real-world scenarios could help improve that drop. Also, data augmentation or even generating synthetic data could help with class imbalance and make models more robust. Just a couple of ideas to consider! Looking forward to the next one!
