Hi, All.
Watching the Kaggle Whitepaper Companion Podcast now.
I was also excited about the possibility and I was doing something similar last month. I made this video :
AI Generated Podcast: Can LLMs Really Reason? | Generative AI Video Labs
During that, I struggled with generating Audio Waveform for the Voice. I ended up generating the waveform manually. Can you suggest any good reliable, fully offline Python Library that accepts a video/ audio as input and generates Waveform (Something similar to MoviePy). I would like to test an improved workflow.
Dive into the fascinating world of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their reasoning capabilities in this AI-powered podcast!

Am I the only one struggling with long code lines in Kaggle notebooks? 😅 Every time I scroll right to read the full code and then try to get back to the start, if I’m not careful and use the mouse, it accidentally sends me to the previous page! Not exactly ideal... Anyone else dealing with this? Kaggle, it would be awesome if this could get fixed!"
are these code lines you are writing? code lines will not wrap to the next line, however for the most part you can format them yourself by hitting enter in appropriate spots
The existing (long ) ones
Are these notebooks from others then?
which code block is giving you issues?
the response = short_model.generate_content("...") lines are pretty long, are those the ones you're talking about?
this is not an error but an UX issue :
you can modify those lines before running the block. The 3 quotes are multiline text, meaning you just hit enter after "...Observation steps." before "Thought..." on that first line
when we go right for reading the code, and back left using the fast side scroll (using mouse), the page change to the previous one.
Not sure I'm seeing the same issue as you, fast scroll isn't doing that for me. You might have "go back" mapped to your mouse. But as a work around, you can edit the text to be shorter, too.
You can also zoom out your browser view (Ctrl - or +) and that will help you see all the text in the code block

Good afternoon everyone,
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve finally launched my project! It’s been a journey full of effort and sacrifices, but I’m proud to say it’s completed. I’d love to share the details with you all, and I hope it can be helpful. Let’s stay in touch! 😊

Hi I am Frank Hu, a research and data scientist, machine leanring engineer at University of Michigan, here is my linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/in/xiaosu-hu-1458a656/
Belle here, from the US - As we near the end of the course, I’m excited to reflect on everything I’ve learned and eager to continue deepening my understanding. I’m looking to connect with fellow learners and professionals who are passionate about tech—let’s keep the momentum going and help each other grow!
Hi I am Junfeng Qu, professor in Computer Science at Clayton State University.
I’ve found that I learn best by first getting a high-level understanding of a topic, and then diving into the details to solidify that foundation for real-world application. I started by listening to the podcast to get a grasp of the key concepts, then followed up by reading the whitepaper and doing concurrent research to make sure I fully understood the material. It’s been a great way to connect the dots between theory and practice. I’m curious how others approach learning—do you prefer the high-level overview like the podcast offers, or do you dive straight into the academic details to really break down the concepts?
Hi all. I'm Fabienne from Germany. Used to work in data governance with focus on data quality, but recently started learning more about data protection and data engineering, and after not properly reading the curriculum I've taken up a course called "Big Data Engineering", which isn't - as I thought - about data engineering, but about ML. Just joined Kaggle a week ago to take my new skills for a ride in the current playground competition. Happy to be here!
Yeah i really think your approach is functional. Because whenever i try to get deeper into the subject after getting a jist of it before i always find myself understanding it better
Though the approach i take usually is to go through the details right from the beginning and break down stuff when it is complex for me to understand. Starting with the details at the beginning makes it hard to get momentum and feels kinda boring though
hey! a newbie here, where can i ask some basic ML questions (linear regression related)?
id recommend u read the whitepapers
Hi from North Macedonia, happy to be joining you with a little delay!

Hello everyone, I am Priya from California
Book focus time in your work calendar, put down the blinders, listen to brown noise on your best headphones while working, set your phone to Do Not Disturb. Get a manual kitchen timer and employ the pomodoro technique for your focus time. If colleagues bug you with ad-hoc requests and if you have a good relationship with your manager, ask your manager to help you with prioritizing and don't do anything for third parties without clearance. This might also be possible with a partner or a good friend, if you work on your own. Use body-doubling, preferably with a friend or colleague who'd benefit from it, too (if your company has an employee resource group for neurodivergent employees, you got a whole pool of prospects right there).
Obviously these won't work with all kinds of distractions. If you are a parent, caregiver or pet owner, your mileage will definitely vary. What kind of distractions are we talking about?
Hello everyone, I am Audley from Kingston, Jamaica
I am Muhammad Qamar, I am from Sohan, Islamabad, Pakistan. I am a student of matric or high school but i am eager to learn and become a data scientist that's why i am leaning from home data science at Kaggle
Thanks for taking your time to reply. I'm a student and the distractions i was talking about are the thoughts about doing something else whenever I'm trying to work on a single thing and maybe some other family stuff. It's like when I'm trying to do something and something else shows up I'm in this confused state as to which one i should give priority to and then instead of working on either one of the tasks i just try to escape them through the use of social media.

Hi, Please help me.
I'm going to make a search engine based on customer behaviors.
Inputs: query embedding, history embedding (Metadata is stored with vector formats)
We use cosine similarity and train embedding models.
I have two questions about this.
First, how to get the gradient of embedding when use consime similarity?(Can that be estimated in torch?)
Second, for the search, we use two steps, updating the weights about historical embedding and query embedding at the same time, I think that can be noisy.
But I can't make sure. I attahced diagram. And if any questions, feel free to ask.

Hi everyone, I'm new to kaggle and understood basics. I checked few beginner competitions and submissions. I understand how to read the data, check missing values etc. How would I know what to do in the code to make the model more predictable? How is my model going to differ from others? I'm not sure what I need to do at this point. How can I improve my model and how to know what different things I should try to improve it?
You can google other ml models or ways to train the data, or check how other people did it in the code sections i think
how to get good in EDA ? how you become kaggle grand master ?

Hi I am trying to expand my data science and machine learning skillset. Currently I’m proficient in using numpy, pandas, matplotlib and sci-kit learn libraries. I’ve also had some experience with developing neural networks in Tensorflow for NLP projects. However I want to start working with larger datasets consisting of multiple folders such as those in the prestigious Kaggle competitions. What is your approach to these? And if I want to start exploring image classification, what’s the best resource to learn?
Title: Seeking Turbulent Flame Image Dataset
Dear Kaggle Community and Esteemed Researchers,
I am currently engaged in a research project that involves analyzing turbulent flame dynamics, and access to a Turbulent Flame Image Dataset is crucial for my progress. Despite exploring various repositories and reaching out to the corresponding author of a related study, I have not received any responses or found a source for this dataset.
As someone passionate about advancing understanding in this field, I deeply admire the research efforts of those who have contributed to this domain. If anyone could guide me toward obtaining this dataset or provide access to similar resources, it would be invaluable to my work.
Your support could significantly contribute to my research, and I assure you that the dataset will be used with the utmost respect for its intended purpose, with proper acknowledgment given to its creators.
Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to any guidance or support you can provide.
Best regards,
Maimunul Karim Jisan
Hi! I searched the web and found the following resources:
-
"The FLAME dataset: Aerial Imagery Pile burn detection using drones..."
-
"FLAME 2: Fire detection and modeLing: Aerial Multi-spectral imagE ..."
-
"Direct numerical simulation results for turbulent hydrogen/air flame: multicomponent diffusion model" -> But it has the dataset in the form of torrent file with instructions
Although I am unsure what exactly Turbulent Flame Image Dataset is about, but I think the above links may be relevant.
Also, maybe this competition too had relevant data:
Regarding the competition dataset, please ensure they allow it for external purposes before you plan to use it.
That's all from my side, have a great day!

Hi everyone, I was looking for someone interested in joining the LLAMA IMPATTO ROMA Hackathon: https://lablab.ai/event/hackathon-llama-impatto-roma. I'd like to participate, but I currently don't have a team. Anyone interested?
what does this (+173,-70) indicates?
I have a question regarding testing for a project involving an agent built with LangGraph.
The focus is not on improving the LLM’s accuracy itself, but rather ensuring stable and consistent operation as a whole. I believe this is more about testing rather than evaluation, specifically unit testing.
For instance, I want to ensure that the system handles any user input without throwing errors.
In this case, would it be better to use something like Pytest, or is there another tool more suitable for this purpose? What tools would you recommend for such testing?
what kinda computer do yall recommend for ai intensive work
such as training and running gpt like applications
@lone coyote 8xA100 / 8xH100.
ill look into those thx
hello
How to merge team if i cannot found enough person to participate in wsdm competition?
It indicates the lines of code added/removed from the original notebook that was copied.
guys i want to know like the latest trends in machine learning or ai space but im just too confused as of now , how to group alll these like in llm space we have new claude , gemma etc etc , then there is ever growing rag techniques , then state of the art models how to navigate through all this and choose whats best to work on right now
how to access gated hf models in kaggle notebook ?
(i mean how to authenticate for it ?)
notebook_login() not working
Hey folks, what's shakin?
have you tried using the Secrets feature in Kaggle Notebooks instead? you can access from the "Add-Ons" menu.
i made a basic notebook to show you how to do this: https://www.kaggle.com/code/mrisdal/authenticating-to-hf-in-kaggle-notebooks
thanks though still getting the same error
Hi, could you show the code cell that raised this error message too? It's quite hard to determine the issue without seeing the cause.
and to confirm you have access to the model on the HF page? you've been approved after requesting access via the gated model?
So it's already like that before or is that just recently? also can we look at the cell with HF_USERNAME and HF_TOKEN?
it was like that from forever i g its issue with the gated model itself
oh lastly have to setup the HF_TOKEN in your notebook add-ons?
and ensure that the label and value are correct
Since in Meg's example, she uses user_secrets.get_secret("HUGGING_FACE_HUB_TOKEN") so you might want to match the add-ons secret label with the name you've stated in the code cell
meanwhile the value should be your access token from HuggingFace
I got mine working just fine though weirdly enough, albeit bugged with "Error displaying widget: model not found"
@nova merlin perhaps try using a different model? Or.. |||now I'm not sure if this is count as promoting other discord server which is usually against some server rule, but you could go to HuggingFace discord community for better help since it's most likely to be a much more active and responsive place when handling issue with HuggingFace||
I too found that earlier before login error
I ve already asked them n they couldn't help much to fix it yet
I see, then the most plausible solution as of now is to find alternatives instead.
Could anyone tell me about StandardScaler? Is it necessary to use in Clustering(Kmeans) and can it be applied to categorial features like (category/gender/payment_method etc., that were prelimilary converted to integers? e.g. female - 1, male - 0 / category: clothing - 5, shoes - 3, etc. Does it have any sense?)
StandardScaler is used to resize the scale of quantitative features so that it fit a criteria, which is a mean of 0 and a standard deviation of 1, this ensure that all feature have relatively same scale hence the name, secondly yes it is neccessary for K-Means clustering specifically, since its a distance based clustering and uses the features to calculate distance, so if one feature have bigger value it'll significantly affect the clustering, an example of this case would be like age and income since age range is 20-50 meanwhile income range is 10000-100000 without scaling. with those in-mind you can think intuitively if categorical feature could be StandardScalered or not.
kk, got it
Thank you so much :)

hello! 😀
Sharing with you my attempt in practicing Day 3 - Function calling with the Gemini API.
I made a Hogwarts Students Grades database containing information about students, houses, subjects, ratings, and their grades and a helpful chatbot that can interact with the database. Here are the functions the chatbot can do: list_tables, describe_table, execute_query, describe_table_interconnections
But it seems like I am getting OperationalError when I ask very specific questions like:
What rating Harry Potter got in the subject Charms? or What house Harry Potter belongs to?
Any insights or suggestions to improve the database and chatbot's functionality are welcome!

So the thing is, that the required output form in the last exercises on the pandas course (linked below) are not clear enough, and could provoke frustration in the beginning learners. It'd be nice to have some kind of example of the output so that people knew what to achieve when completing the exercise)

Hi, I'm a new student an interested in ML engineering
Hello! I am a grad student studying data science finishing up my last SQL and ML course. Interested in bioinformatics/psych/medical devices/clinical research
For a beginner what are the keys steps... To start ML & AI
I am familiar with python know a bit of numpy ,pandas and matplotlib.... But what's next...!!?
Kinda know about it... But matplotlib does the most of the work
Like EDA or something...!?
Currently for reference I am referring "Hands on ML with sklearn and keras" by O'Reilly.... Is it good..!?
Ohhk👍
I will check on it
@visual tide for now I am learning it by myself... Is there any resource out there from where I can learn from scratch
Thanks for the Info🙂.. @visual tide
👍
Have u learned all of this by yourself... Or had done some course..!?
Ohhk.. Can u tell me about some of the courses u have done
Pandas profiling is best tool for auto EDA
Go through IBM data science professional certificate then all courses from deep learning.ai step by step
@severe storm .. Yeah I will check on it... Thanks for the info🙂
As a beginner ...what I do... Is just collect data from kaggle dataset Or fetch data from an api... And try to anaylse it...i.e.plotting graphs, using mathematical fuction from numpy and more of this....
For now I just know this much so... 😅😅
@vital bear

@coral hedge The announcements blog link is 404. The blog link in the leaderboard is correct ( https://deepmind.google/discover/blog/facts-grounding-a-new-benchmark-for-evaluating-the-factuality-of-large-language-models/ )
Hi, I'm currently researching game AI's for a project I'm working on, and I'm curious if there are known ways to represent states of different but similar games under some generalized representation. Think how a game like chess could have a similar representation to shogi.
You might be interested in Gymnasium, the evolution of OpenAI's old RL Gym https://github.com/Farama-Foundation/Gymnasium
Kaggle uses a similar concept for our simulation competition environments
Not exactly what you are asking for, but sort of in the same ballpark
Not quite what I'm looking for unfortunately, I'm looking for some type of framework with a little more structure. For instance, AIs for card games will typically use "amount of cards in hand" as a common heuristic to evaluate decisions. I'm looking to see if someone has generalised this approach for multiple games, such that one system can represent multiple types of games.
upon importing sweetviz, and using this function, getting error -No module named 'pkg_resources'. what's missing ?
Hi. Could anyone explain to me how to webscrape? I'm trying to gain authorization (an API key I think?) to scrape some data from MAL to bolster a data set I'm working with
@wild pine webscraping is like a bot simulating access to a web page, perform login etc and download etc as though a human is there. Python selenium is a good library for tihs.
thank you for the advice. i understand that making requests very quickly for data may cause problems for webscraping or maybe cause an IP ban. do you have any recommendations on how to circumvent that issue? I heard about adding delay but i was wondering if there were other methods @deft lynx
Is it just me or is kaggle website crashed
Try using different proxies... Here's the source where u can find them https://www.webshare.io/?referral_code=bui3w0gh4hdh
@wild pine
Hello, i'm new in kaggle notebook, if like this the gpu is working right? why this so slow?
i mean my dataset isn't much either
Thank you for the help!
You’re not setting the tf environment to use the gpu
Use tf.config.list_physical_devices(‘GPU’)
Also run this line right after you get the packages to ensure it works best
so it's not enough to just activate this?
No
Also use the p100 GPU
Because you don’t need to define a strategy because it’s only one gpu
ohh all this time I used t4 gpu
so after select p100 i should run this in cell?
Yes
But first you have to import the modules
Then run that line and then run the rest of the code
You should see a message after you start the model.fit that says something about xla and compute capability
You can see that it’s using the GPU if the usage goes up in the top right corner of the screen right below save version
so because of that i got this message? this messege i got from i use gpu t4
i don't know what is that, I just ignored it
How big is your model?
i use resnet50 model
so the problem not from the gpu?
It might be
But if you run that line of code then it’s most likely the model
What are you trying to do
Cause you may be able to do a basic cnn model instead
ohh ok
i'm just trying with more augmentation after augmented before with imagedatagenerator, maybe this is also one of them, but it shouldn't be this long
I mean with the resnet model
oh sr, i'm trying to classification fish freshness
oh yea thanks for the solution
You can probably just make a simple cnn instead
But do whatever you think is best
what can be the possible reason for failed submission in a competition, if the version saving have no error.
error: Notebook Threw Exception
really can't understand much via explanation given in Faq.
guys im just lost in the case of gen ai , i dont know where to start a project for gen ai , should i download a qauntised open llm model and do a streamlit app project or can i do something in google collab
Hi @flint aspen you may want to try this to get an overview https://www.kaggle.com/learn-guide/5-day-genai
How do I learn neural networks & LLMs after I learned basic python? How do I make a good CSV dataset? Any good resources?
I'm not sure what goes next? I just know Python Basics.
Start learning libraries like Numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn etc.
Then start EDA...then Preprocessing
Right? @visual tide
THe best way to learn is to do. Just throw yourself in the deep end. start with basic binary classification models, or simple regression tasks. Read on Linear Algebra if you want a deep understanding, All Machine Learning is just matrix multiplication and linear algebra at its core.
comprehensive in terms of tools that wil be the most useful, what they are, and how to use them. All source is Python. As pithy as can be and modular. Good starting point, if you work through it.
Hello guys, I've reached the 30 hour limit for gpu usage, but why can it still turn on? it won't be any different than before when it wasn't limited?
A gpu is like having several cpu's that can process operations on several variables, simutaneously (vs one at a time). Albeit the operations are a little more restricted in terms of complexity of those operations. Imagine a one cpu for each pixel on the screen. If your bogging down the GPU, chances are you have to many parameters being processed per layer in your network. You may want to do a little feature enginnering maintenance to reduce parameter count of inputs.
i've been doing ML for a few months now, made a few decent projects, recently started doing DL. the way im learning is totally random and unordered, i just learn the stuff that comes to me, or just shows up to my screen somehow or i search and learn about it after reading it somewhere. i'm not following any sequence or course-like structure for ML. sometimes im not even sure what i'm doing, there is no stability. sometimes im doing genai stuff and sometimes DL.
i really doubt if this way of learning is going to work out in the long run. is it common among AIML peeps or what?
sometimes i see someone talk or write about a topic "X" which belongs under topic "Y", i have studied this topic "Y" but never heard of topic "X". this type of thing happens so many times i feel like i dont know enough to claim to know ML. it feels like i just have superficial knowledge that gets things done 'somehow'. i truly wish to understand the concepts in depth and build cool stuff.
i think i belong to the 'practitioner' part of AI instead of 'research' part of it but i still want to understand the core of everything it covers. really need some expert advice here, i dont want to depend on any college curriculum or university courses but i want to learn it all by myself through online sources or books. i want to get to the rare esoteric parts of knowledge in this field.
i know i might be sounding confused above but yeah that's it, please someone tell me how should i modify my learning methods and stuff...
A heavily illustrated book about ML algorithms. The visuals designed to help even a Math phobe grock what's at play when employing ML algoritms. And connecting to "Topic X" and "Topic Y".
do you have its pdf?
sooo i still can use that even already limited?
I have the hard copy. Its by "No Starch Press'. I'm sure you could find a copy
okayy, i'll try. tysm for suggestion.
Either, you are processing too many parmaeters, or the processing for each is complicated. A gpu processes several parameters simultaneously, that's it strength. Like I said, it's having several cpu's working simutaneously.
gpu's 😂
The submitted file size is too big ; the RAM usage is too big ; the disk storage space , used for intermediate spaces surpasse the limit. Big hurdles for Chess challenge, btw.
Hey, nice strategy)
I'm kinda doing the exact same thing now, but I'm only starting at ml. Previously I was learning webdev with Odin Project. I really liked the resource, but didn't like the topic. Now I just dare to try to build myself in a similar way in ml, searching for info on my own and that kind of thing.
I wasn't that much in the field yet, and just glad to see a like-minded person 🙂 Good luck
best of luck to you too
My first "succesful" AI project was an AI drum mcahine, that could learn from 3 examples. Next three about building an algorithmic trader. I don't think you can truly understand the algorithms you are working with, or can use, without working with them and using them.
Things such as, ANN's at best approximate ; Graph are great for featuring enginnering for them, as long as graphs arent too deep (dimensional count); and other fun stuff
is it only for me? region-india
only you
true
hi
hi
Are you people able to use ctrl + / to comment out code?
what do you guys think the correlation between road width and accident rate
hi
There is not much .
You should check it by data itself. If you have road width in integers, you can make a new feature, foe example ratio of them and see if ant relationship exists .
Vague. First you analyze it. And then you figure out a way to use it, if you want. It may correlate in situations with other factors being in a certain state. And not with others, for instance. Again vague: how are you trying to use this?

Hello
Where the competition channels?
check out everything on kaggle.com under learning
Hello, I am still at a starting point with data analysis. I am not sure what I am doing, its not college anyway. I am learning on my own from the internet. There are a number of options and I am not sure what to do. I have access to kaggle, which I find a little confusing at times. Learning Python and data analysis at the same time is a little harder than just the one. I have access to another online learning tool as well that covers BI tableau, python, sql, excel and other stuff. The thing is, where should I start. I thought that knowing how a database works would be a good place. Then SQL. I have spent some time on BI and found myself following instructions with no real idea of what I was doing. What is the most basic thing I could do to get started in data analysis?
SQL was a language developed to manage and search large databases. Used by big companies in the past. Honestly, not much use for SQL in this field nowadays. First, master rudimentary Python, and then its libraries. Pandas is a popular Python database library/api, btw, in ML field. Other Python apis, in terms of ML, include scikit, numpy, tensorflow or pytorch (for neural network type stuff).
you'll thank me later 😁
Hi @coral hedge
I am very eager to know if there will be season5 for playground series starting Jan 2025.
Can you enlighten us about it ?
Happy holidays and a very happy new year
its for discussion only 😅 i think it would be fun thinking about those
i see
its my shower thoughts.. since its #💬┊general channel so im thinking if i just discuss about some interesting problem
Hey everyone, I am a newbie to GenAI and I am struggling with something, it would be great if someone could help me with this!
My code snippet is
from pprint import pprint
user_msg = "Hello, what can you do?"
state = chat_graph.invoke({"messages": [user_msg]})
for msg in state["messages"]:
print(f"{type(msg).name}: {msg.content}")
And the error I am getting is:
TransportError: Failed to retrieve http://metadata.google.internal/computeMetadata/v1/universe/universe_domain from the Google Compute Engine metadata service. Compute Engine Metadata server unavailable
The error is arising at below line of code:
state = chat_graph.invoke({"messages": [user_msg]})
Everything is defined properly and I installed the required libraries too, but I still keep getting this error

Hi, I'm new to this discord
Hi New to discord . I am learning DS and AI
is scoring counted into my gpu quota time?
so e.g. if I submit a notebook which will take 3h to score (e.g. on AIMO competition)
then do I lose those 3h from my quota?

Hello
Any one available for 2 hour quick app building session
Trying to get someone to help me out
is there any kaggle api for http requests ?
can u tell particular api related to kaggle there ?
like any random competition link
also maybe filtered by tags just like we would search in site
To work on for practice 👍
wdym ?
(though yeah similar to tle bot for cf) i need a good api
Is it bad practice to run jupyter inside miniconda environment ?
Hi, I am new to Kaggel and Discord. I am learning ML and LLM
hello everyone
Hello Everyone. I'm new to Kaggle. I am interested in learning GenAi and LLM
but no such api for kaggle available
do anyone knows a proper way to access kaggle api via python ?
also i m getting authentication error
can anyone tell how to fix ?
Can anyone give me best ml projects so, that can writedown in my project ?
Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates this season!
Hello, kagglers.
I have one question.
I need to make a news sentiment ananlysis tools.
Now, I have 2 methods, first method is to use open source models such as deberta or roberta and second method is to use HMM(I heard IBM used this method).
Which method should I select?
It's only for datasets n models
Not much it offers for competitions except downloading
Any blog on how to do it as such for XGB?I haven't really done it before
This wht I got frm Googling a bit bit any feedback is most welcome
Anyone knows of a good notebook for a severely imbalanced (90/10 or even more) tabular classification problem?
Would like to see what strategies are being currently used to mitigate class imbalance in extreme scenarios where simply adding class weights is not enough
Hlo Guys!!
Hii guys i've recently started doing kaggle playground series competitions(for regression and classification ) can someone guide me regarding deep learning competitions as i have basic deep learning knowledge
Hello everyone, My name is David, I study Business Information System and passionate about the AI. Nice to meet you all. I based in Adelaide, Australia.
Depends. Do you want to generate comprehensive summaries of news sentiment, in terms of words, or actionable values to be plugged into a predictive system? You may want to look into BERT for tokenizing/ vectorizing / quantifying words in general (just to grok).
In the beginnings of AI, (hardware) resources where limited, so ANNs were usually 2 or at the most 3 layers deep. With better hardware they got deeper. Also, wide and deep strategies became used, like including all the hidden layer outputs to the final output layer, not just the last. That and several parallel channels of hidden layers. And layers with more complex functionality. All "impossible" on older computer hardware. This is what is meant by Deep Learning.
Hii Man! I have a question!
What I'm saying, is create a loop that processes your files and prints results, one by one. So after train_path = ... , then you run a loop for printouts
go for it
dm u!
But I need to train on the whole data..
How much i need to learn for applying for internship!
alright, what are you trying to accomplish here (in code), in plain english
I'm not sure what this means
How much i need to learn ml/dl for applying for internship!
How can i learn so i can get my first internship!
Train using XGB model on large data for Time series forecast
I really have no answer for this. Brag about your accomplisments on Kaggle on Linked? You can just get good at it here, and make money winning competitions. I get work through word of mouth these days
how much i need to learn?like tools topics?
framework!
Becoming fluent in Python is important, as most books about ML invovlve the use of Python and it's APIs: sci-kit, pandas, numpy, tensorflow/keras, pytorch. Most specialized libraries use the language and these libraries. So staring point? I'd recommend this.
If you get an internship with NASA, a little familiarity with C, C++, and assembly wouldn't be bad, but you not there yet
Ok!
nowdays getting internship is hard they wants so much skills!
I like Python for it's ease of prototyping. You can always translate the protype into another domain language, quite easily
The limitations you are getting is because the amount of data you are trying to load into RAM exceed the limitations on the cloud (you are using)
I am aware, but any way around?
perhaps, write it to external source (i think you have external storage for your account), and read it as necessary
i'm still not clear what you are trying to do though...
I'll confess. Don't know what an XBG is. I exclusively use ANN's to find solutions, and work with these
taking part in the Jane Street competition & trying out some of the sample notebooks
XGB = Gradient Boost
this i got
heard of it, but unfailiar with it
thing is gradient boost generally need all data on memory for training
Checking it out now, XBG is a classifier algorithm, or feaure extraction algorithm...
yeah, can be used for predictions as well
