firefly isn't like midjourney, you won't be generating in the discord, you can generate in the various adobe apps and on the firefly website

Hello there, I'm not primarily an graphic designer, although I use it a lot in my day to day work. I'm a science communicator, specialised in space and planetary sciences, and as part of this job, I often create illustrations for press releases, etc.
I love using firefly to get inspiration on some compositional ideas (as, let's be honest, it's sometimes very goofy the results from Firefly... but it makes you think about other possibilities out of your comfort zone). But I can't use firefly in finished products most of the time unfortunately (although it would save so much time sometimes), as 1) results are usually pretty bad for spacy images, it somehow always put the stuff on the surface of a planet... 2) press releases aggregator website don't allow AI generated stuff for legal protection, and it's a must do to put PRs on them!

Hi I am a Motion Graphic Artist from San Francisco, i have lots of Midjourney experience and Have been using Krea for a couple years as well. I applied for the Firefly Custom Models beta but I have no idea how to access that feature and I am almost out of credits for the month. I have only 55 out of 4000 left. I have enjoyed the free firefly video access during the latest free time, but now it is over and am wondering why is firefly video so expensive compared to most of the other partner models? It seems to be charging more than it should if i were to judge based on results. Google Veo 3.1 Fast was always my go to after not getting the results I wanted in Firefly, but firefly. I want to give firefly video more chances to prove itself to me but it costs 500 credits for 5 seconds of 1080p compared to Veo3.1 Fast at 8 seconds for 80 credits. Frankly Firefly should be cheaper until it gets better prompt following ability.

I get wanting it to be cheaper, as to quality Firefly is behind because it’s commercially safe. Most of the art used to train it is from compensated artists and some public domain. So you’re at least not gonna get a copy right infringement for using it

Frankly I believe that is a noble idea but why is Adobe offering up the copyright infringing models right next to Firefly? It seems like they don't really care. I am predicting that the billionaires who control the big for profit models will make sure they are never held accountable. I don't think they will pay one dime to all us photographers who had our photos stolen by Academic Researchers to be included in the open source image libraries used by most every AI model. ) My point is that until the quality is up they should not charge so much. At the current prices it just costs too much, especially when considering how many generations are not useful at all.

well yes that is quite apparent when you compare the quality and prompt adherence to Kling or Veo, who have never uttered a word caring about infringement. My point is that the courts and the lawmakers seem to not care one bit about infringement, and most of the public can see that the cat is out of the bag and there is no going back. The best models are made by exploiting artists and the artists need to be compensated. I hate to say it but Perhaps Adobe should spend their Firefly money on lawyers to fight for ethical treatment of artists instead of training models most people cant afford to use.

firefly in photoshop is great by the way, video is where it mostly falls short.

I think that will be really hard right now, Firefly struggles to even write, and there isn’t any input option for data. I would recommend trying Adobe Express instead. You will have to do most of it yourself, but it’s a lot easier than After Effects or Premier.

if you're using the firefly video model specifically you can add a starting frame with your product, but there's no guarantee that the product will remain exactly unchanged through the length of the clip. More or less variation depending on the complexity of action in the prompt.
