Does not appear to be- has to be bought from another player in the store.

The timer means that once you hit 1k clicks or a multiple of you can click the chest icon to pull a random loot drop. This is also how you gain the default items available.
Once you have a 10 items of a single rarity you can mix these into one item the next tier up (random)

If you save up points you can still only open 1 chest every 30 minutes and the timer does not restart until you open the current chest.

Any limited event items have to be purchased from other users in the store and some highly sought after ones can be quite actually expensive.
These event items are shown in the checkmark tab and have separate categories below the default always available item rarity pools.

I haven't seen anything stating that event pools will be repeated but I hope so

• Run both OBS/Bongo Cat in Administrator Mode
• Use a Game Capture Source to capture Bongo Cat (make sure to allow Transparency or it won't show up)

I did the update and restart thing, it seemed to download something before it restarted
The next box that came up, it loaded for a long time and eventually did successfully give me an item.

Mutiplayer is just so you can see your friends bongo cats, it's all synced up so you can see when they're typing/clicking
You get a chest every.. 30 minutes I think it is, and it costs 1000 taps to open it!

As to "Why":
I am unsure, even from a developer perspective. this is not a common term for borderless mode. The game was made with Cocos2D game engine so perhaps its some type of engine bug with a weird workaround.

For the future, borderless fullscreen should in general allow any windows to be on top (including BongoCat), so the issue was the game itself.

sorry there doesnt seem to be an easy solution. even a tool like "Borderless Gaming" has trouble getting the fullscreen to align properly. an undesirable solution would be to turn off fullscreen and set windowed resolution lower than your display resolution.

Hello, after a few days my cat disappears. In Steam the game shows as running, but the cat does not exist anywhere. I have tried opening and closing the game, restarting the PC, and even uninstalling and reinstalling it. The only solution I found that works is to uninstall and completely delete all the game files.

im curious how admin mode helps with display mode? based on the question i would have suggested to go "windowed fullscreen" instead of admin mode. can someone explain how admin mode helps (outside of allowing "auto start on startup")?

i trust this game, so i think the "admin mode" setting itself is fine for casual users. but i make it a habit to avoid unnecessary security risks.

i originally added the Bongo Cat.exe shortcut to the shell:startup folder, but steam has to also launch for Steamworks. i can have them launch auto-launch separately and hopefully no connection issues. but my working solution was:

• Steam > Library > Right Click Bongo Cat > Manage > Add desktop shortcut
• Drag desktop shortcut into shell:startup

This creates a web link and forces steam to launch even without "Run Steam when my computer starts" setting. It's been awhile since I worked with Windows API directly via programming so not sure if that can be implemented instead of admin mode solution.

some games mess with computer input, and when they themselves are launched with higher privileges, make it so other programs cant see input at all while a user has the game focused. So for bongo cat to see you tapping away in games that run in admin mode, it itself also has to run in admin mode 😄

In a perfect world, neither have to run admin mode, but as long as games request it, bongo cat has to match them in order to work properly. hope that answers your question ^^

ah i see Valorant uses admin mode for anti-cheat engine it seems. honestly never noticed the game requesting admin permissions (dont play it though)

no need to ask the user when you have a kernel driver to do it silently, it can do far more than any user-mode program can. The issue with valorant was the fullscreen vs borderless windowed though, im not actually sure if admin mode is needed in this case, but I dont play Valorant myself so I dont know for sure.
As for win32 hooks, the usual win32 security boundaries apply here as well, so anything in user land that wants info from a higher privilege app has to match it 😄

doesnt carl-bot just create an automod rule? in that case you could create a second automod rule. frankly the bots could be limited or bugged. another server was using ProBot that is entirely broken when it comes to using regular expressions and filters, but perfectly fine and flexible directly from discord

it sounds like there may be errors or it's not rendering (since there is on-demand rendering). you could try "bobbing" setting on, which should force it to constantly render.

however:
theres a chance that your presets are still stored in persistent data and can be restored. however, it's very technical on how to read and manipulate data. (caution)
If you have 2 PRESET_ objects, we can figure out which one is the old version and merge it with the new version. Although i assume recreating from memory is easiest.

Might sound stupid but how do I open chests? There was a countdown and chests showed up when it ends (every 30 minutes), but I relaunched it and the time becomes 1 minute and chests no longer appear after timer resets

so im playing persona 5 rn and theonly time bongo cat is working is when im in menus or during dialogue, whenever im controling then actual characters Bongo Cat app freezes

putting the game in fullscreen hides the cats and sometimes detects my clicks

• Bongo Cat is always ontop of Persona 5 game?
• By "not working" do you mean capturing input keyboard and mouse input?
• Do you feel its an input issue or a rendering issue?

The things I would suggest trying, together:

• Admin mode
• Always on top
• Bobbing (on)
• Persona 5 in borderless windowed (windowed fullscreen)

But based on what you said, if i understand, you either tried most of this or its entirely unrelated to the issue. Sounds like "admin mode" still is failing to allow Bongo Cat to capture input.
Does it capture mouse clicks or keyboard kicks, or neither?
Im also a bit confused at why it only works when a menu is open. Could be related to how the game handles input or maybe its a performance issue?

Ya, fullscreen will never allow apps to be ontop of the game, as only one app can be rendered on top when its "fullscreen".

i cant properly test this as i dont really play games. i tried terraria + Nvidia instant replay with no issues (not a good test as i should test a high quality 3d game). but i imagine its related to the strain on the hardware. have you monitored the cpu, gpu, ram usage to see how much your computer is struggling? i imagine both your cpu and gpu may be struggling more. also perhaps your system specs may help too

i also thought of creating a prototype 3d game in godot but i dont think i can replicate any bottlenecks with ease either

looking at the video again. your fps is at a solid 120 when in menu. but drops down to 60-80 when gameplay.
this implies your gpu/cpu are struggling to keep up.

some ideas:

• cap Persona's fps to 60 (or even 30 to test)
• toggle vsync in game and in BongoCat, if on, set off, vice versa.
• also windows has 2 rendering settings that you can temporarily toggle too:
  • "Optimizations for windowed games"
  • "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling"

The goal would be to lower performance and try to alter how windows renders the game
