Just because they don't respond to every thread doesn't mean they don't read them and take them into account. Don't get me wrong, not trynna throw shade on this dev team they're great and I support them via my purchases in game completely. Its just, with so many suggestions every day all day I always get the feeling suggestions are mostly overlooked as a whole.

I'm sure you must have at least heard 1 or 2 well known dev teams that completely ignore fanbase suggestions even if they are largely supported and popular. But yah, this team is obviously much smaller.

I was/still am a playtester for Party Animals and I stg they listen to nobody including their playtesters. They lost a lot of their loyal fanbase recently because update after update they ignore popular suggestions and create skins that nobody largely asked for.

It's probably the Indie Demo category which you might not see in the Collections tab because a recent update (a few updates ago) made it so that it hides categories if you don't have any items in the category. So it's probably the Tap Tap Loot demo, I think it's by downloading and trying the Tap Tap Loot demo. (you get free glasses and a cat skin for it).

Bongo Cat doesn’t detect or track specific keyboard keys or mouse movement - it only responds to general input.
So displaying WASD or mouse actions isn’t something the game can do. You’d need a separate overlay tool for that.

But yeah, in Bongo Cat for limited event items I like to keep duplicates just in case in the future I might want to do something with them and even if I have items set to favorite and in the settings "don't exchange favorites" I'm still a bit paranoid about it. But like I said it's also in other games that use automatic exchange features. I also prefer checking manually just to make sure. 😅

@rich cosmos In a perfect world hoarders trading "at fair prices" would be great. That however won't happen in a free market. The item prices will just keep going up, as the supply diminishes and demand remains high. You'll never get a "fair" trade on an item that is hoarded, since they induce artificial scarcity in the economy by buying up bulk. The again "fair" is a matter of opinion, as most of the users don't seem to care either way, so people who treat the game as a stock market will run rampart

Yeah, I was just having a wishful thinking moment. Absolutely agree (I think you were active in the discussion on bringing back the old items and I've liked a lot of your messages, but maybe I've mistaken you for someone else). Agh, if someone hoards more of 5 examples of the same limited item, I think they're already up to treat the game as a stock market, not just willing to have some sort of backup that maybe will be of use once in the future, so that they'll finally be able to obtain sth they were long looking for.
Ahh, I'd gladly buy some of the past event items straight from the in-game shop if they were available during some special events for a limited time period. Then, all (or majority) of the income from purchase will go to the devs, who need to constantly put a lot of work into making the game function properly and have nice new features. But getting some items for free, then waiting some time until they become sought after by the players only to trade these items for some pricey Steam / other game items someone had to buy first feels like some kind of abuse for me (but I can't fix the capitalism)

Totally agree with that. In the end one could ask what a game, such as Bongocat, should be? A capitalism simulator or cozy game about collecting/making fun & customized cats? Yeah, I've been sharing my thoughts in the "Could devs do a rerun..." post lately as well. The devs are making a huge effort with creating skins for the game and one I love supporting, it's their decision in what direction to bring the game after all. Hopefully we'll see some "corrections" into the hoarding issues

Yup. Bongo Cat is a popular and liked meme, so no surprise some others who found it cute made some software inspired by it (recently, I've found a webpage where one can control what instrument an on-screen Bongo Cat plays by pressing specific keys on their keyboard, the keys are assigned to certain notes of certain instruments, and the code is available on GitHub afaik, there's also some Chrome/Chromium extension with Bongo Cat, but idk it didn't work for me in Opera, and Visual Studio Code has a an add-on which displays a tiny Bongo Cat in the bottom bar, and it's where I found about there being such a thing like Bongo Cat for the first time. All these tools have slightly different purposes, so I think each of them can be fun and they don't seem to be acting as a competition for each other in any way
