There's a "Random" button in the lobby code page (in-game), people just need to click the "Random" button to automatically enter a lobby with enough players for the battle royale.

My guess is that it still sees you in the game as each round continues. That it doesn't see you as "had" but "still are" participating. Once it kicks you then it sees you "had" and gives reward

Not currently, you'll probably need to delete the code from #lobby-codes before it hits 10 players because the battle royale automatically starts when 10 players are in the lobby.

If you have an iphone, maybe you can try using the phone cellular hotspot? It's a method to link your phone with your pc (using usb or bluetooth or wifi) to use your phone's cellular data for internet. I didn't have internet a few days ago and I used that to have internet on my laptop while I waited for the wifi to return a few hours later.

well. due to some bug the devs are looking into. the timer sometimes stops when it gets to round 2. which means the second round doesn't happen so noone gets eliminated from that point. so by losing in the first round you are sure to get the item

Due to a bug the developers are investigating, the timer sometimes stops at round 2. This lobby becomes buggy, so try joining another one. Losing in the first round guarantees that you’ll get the skin.

it is supposed to be both right now. but there has been some issues where the lobbies don't continue with the next section so the easy and sure way to get it is to lose. xD

at first we thought it was if the host got killed and it got transfered to someone that wasn't updated but that wasn't the case. as it froze on me as well one round. so I don't know what is causing it. I do think it happens if someone is not on a fully updated game though
