The chances to drop event items are also significantly higher than before :) so everyone should get some!
To be clear, if you drop an uncommon item it is now higher that the item is an event item, we didn't adjust the overall drop chances.

(always) --- and i am kinda "annoyed" that i still only have 10/20 out of the autumn cosmetics as most of it are duplicates... and when i have enough again.. its mostly a "normal" better quality item.. shouldnt the chance be higher ? didnt the drop rate got adjusted ?! its kinda sad... because its basically showing that you HAVE to pay at the end if you want all... i know its randomized what you get but I feel kinda fooled.. :c and i can assure you i already got a lot of autumn drops ( ~ 100 -150) but "all" are duplicates ( flanel shirt or acorn)

sry i guess i haved missed that, so we didn't change the odds for the rartities, but we changed that if you drop f.e. an uncommon item it's ~30% chance to be an event item

I was in a lobby with my bf, the app accidentally got closed, and now my Bongo cat is completely off screen and my bf's is only partially on screen when I start it up again

yo can anyone explain why my wireless controller isnt being registered for clicks on bongo cat? Im using a 8bitdo ultimate 2 controller, wirelessly connected via the 2.4g dongle. anytime a press a button it does nothing. I checked on and off the "controller support" setting, still nothing.

did you test on a game specifically? perhaps the game is in "admin mode" and BongoCat is not admin mode so it's not getting any input? Also "Controller Support" needs to be "on" and restart BongoCat for good measure.

I dont have a controller to test and looks like the log file wont show much info to diagnose it. I also havent used controller in over a decade so im out of the loop.

BongoCat uses "SDL2" library for Controller Support.

Your controller appears to support 3 different modes: Xinput, Dinput, and Switch.

• Xinput would be best with modern windows applications and in theory BongoCat.
• If that doesn't work you should try Dinput mode, and later try Switch mode.

Theres not much info online for the modes, this is what AI tells me:

Switching between modes

• XInput (PC): Power off the controller, then press and hold X + Home.
• DInput (PC): Power off the controller, then press and hold B + Home.
• Switch: Power off the controller, then press and hold Y + Home.

Not sure how to verify which mode you are in. But you can try:

• Running "joy.cpl" built-in windows application, that may show the mode.
• "SDL2 Gamepad Tool" https://generalarcade.com/gamepadtool/

you can exchange 10 if 1 rarity to get 1 item of a higher rarity. I only exchange my duplicates as I want to get all the items in the game if possible (though I don't get all the event items) if you only want to go for the legendaries exchange any and all items you have to get there faster. it is all about what you want to gain from it. some also sell items in the steam market.

You know you use Bongo Cat way too much when it starts entering your dreams. After getting disconnected because of Steam maintenance, I had a nap and had a loooong crazy absurd random nightmare.

In the middle of my very random nightmare (all kinds of crazy spooky things happening) I found a monitor (and the room lights turned off so the room was dark except for the monitor, of course) and on the monitor was my lonely Bongo Cat. The only one left in the empty ghosted abandoned lobby.

And the wallpaper was black with creepy animated stuff going on and I kept changing the wallpaper (in real life I press a hotkey to change wallpapers) but all the wallpapers were black and creepy. And then I got distracted by all the other crazy things happening in my nightmare. The end. Thanks for listening.

Closest thing I found is that if you click on the number counter, the timer pop ups any time and stays there UNTIL you click away. But you can make it show up anytime just by clicking on the number counter. But to what you're asking about, there doesn't seem to be a setting for that.

I got it running with CachyOS but same as others, its a full black screen, no transparency, and doesn't detect input unless you're actively on the Bongo Cat program window. Means there's hope though! Since devs confirmed no official version, somone with more Linux knowledge may get it working some day! Main issues are transparency, background play in proton games, and translation of inputs from Windows to X11/Wayland. Short laundry list, just gotta wait till someone's passion project takes off or learn how to do it yourself

the slow visual is only visual (queueing pending animations until the previous animation finishes) so that you can see both rewards you get, but obtaining the item itself should be instant
as for the 2 emojis, that sounds like a visual bug, i believe he mentioned in the patchnotes that he fixed something related to that

Anyone have all of the fall event items unlocked naturally? I finally got my third event green this morning. (I have all 4 of the common gray ones). I saved up my duplicates for like the week before the event, it was as soon as it was announced that it was coming and I've been checking my bongo cat obsessively this whole event. I thought for sure I would get all gray, green, and maybe one or two blues at the very least. But I've got 4 gray and 3 green (finally, I am so happy). Tbf I have only been playing bongo cat since July 26th, so I didn't just have everything unlocked already, though I still rarely get new items. Like just 10 minutes ago I finally unlocked the last gray item I was missing.

I have all the fall event items but only because I purchased the Yellow and Purple and Blue rares on the marketplace because I was sure that I wasn't going to get them even if I grind for them 24/7 (which I almost do).

But later on, I did end up getting the Blue rares naturally from the 30 min timer drops (1-2 of each blue rare). The gray commons are easy to get from the timer drop, I have SO MANY of those, around 30-40 of EACH of the gray fall event items (some I already exchanged but still have a bunch).

The green rares, I got 6 of the fawn deer skin from the timer drops but ZERO of the rain boots skin (even though they're both green, the fawn deer was a lot easier to get while the rain boots one, I had to just buy it on the marketplace, it eluded me for some reason). I have 6-10 duplicates each of the other green items. It was just the rain boots skin that was impossible to drop for me.

This is with me keeping bongo cat open 24/7 and opening the timer every 30 minutes as soon as it pops up like 80% of the time or so, a lot of babysitting/big grinding like Shilo said. I literally have a timer app I use that rings a tone every 30 minutes to remind me so that helps.

But even with 30-40 duplicates of EACH of the gray commons, 6-10 duplicates of the green rares, 1-3 duplicates of the blue rares, I got 0 of the purple and 0 gold rares from the timer drop (I bought 'em in the marketplace before they became more expensive since I knew I probably wasn't gonna get them).

So interesting! Thanks for sharing your experience with me. It took a while before I got the rainboots but then I think I got them around 6 times. I only ever got 1 of the green leaves and that was my first green one. The one I got this morning was the fawn and I felt like I could cry cause I was so sure it just wasn't in the cards for me. The couple of blues I got from drops didn't end up being event items, and all of the trades I did to get green and blue drops were never event items.

I'm so used to games where if you grind for a week of the event you'll get all of the items, but dang I didn't even get close grinding like crazy for the entire event.

The timer bit is smart. I work from home usually and have had the timers visible so I could keep an eye on when it was time.

Just to clarify something from my message, when I said 6-10 dupes of the green rares, I mean of EACH (so for example, 10 dupes of the apple bucket item, 8 dupes of the fall leaf, 6 dupes of the fawn deer skin, 0 of the rainy boots skin). Or what I meant by 30-40 dupes of the gray items, I mean of each gray event item, so roughly around 145 total gray items. When I said 1-3 dupes of the blue rares I meant that I have 1 chipmunk skin, 2 straw hats, 2 lattes, 3 pumpkin pies.

Huh that's interesting! Yeah for me, I got 6 drops of the fawn deer but 0 of the rain boots (literally impossible to drop for me), that's kind of interesting that kind of the opposite happened to you.

Sometimes, the grind (for the green/blue/purple items) doesn't feel so worth it compared to just buying it in the marketplace for a few cents. Like some of the commons (like the acorn) I saw it $0.00 (free) in the marketplace and other fall event items go for around $0.07 to $0.20 to $0.30 cents. (US dollar)

OMG I just checked again, the rainy boots skin (that is IMPOSSIBLE to drop for me for some WEIRD REASON) is just $0.03 cents in the marketplace. 🤣

It's mostly the gold rare items that go for really high prices in the marketplace.

LOL I just checked the marketplace again, the rain boots skin is currently at $0.00 (free) at the time of me looking at it just now. 😆 It's just so funny because otherwise, that specific skin has been impossible to drop for me, lmao. Another screenshot. I have like 6800 wallpapers in Wallpaper Engine, this one just popped up randomly and it's dynamic fluid interactive (so when I move my cursor, it moves around) and it just so happened to be red so it seemed perfectly fitting.

Why is there such a demand for Legendaries during a new event that's already ended. People are buying 20-30 of each a day. By summer 2025, hopefully, there will be 1-2 Legendaries. But a mermaid is the same price, or the same castle and glasses. Is it really the animals that people like? Or are they all buying in hopes of a price increase?

a large part of the appeal for me is slowly collecting everything, so a pack that just gives you all the items from an event feels like missing the point

my favourite way events like this are balanced are if it's possible to get everything from a year's event in a single event period but they also come back year to year

so the items are exclusive for a while but you get to look forward to unlocking them, rather than just "sucks to suck, should've been there" (which then becomes wildly exploitative when the items are tradeable for RL money)

like it's nice having a fun little cat in the tray bapping its paws when i press things

getting to dress it up with fun seasonal things brings me joy

seeing a cute design for the cat and having the only option to use it be "buy it from someone who was there at the time" is incredibly souring, i feel like there must be a better solution to that

You have to equip them first, just as you would costumes. You can have 8 equipped in total. When you hover your mouse over the cats head, you can see all your equipped emotes, and from there you just click the one you would like to use!

hi guys, I think I am having some bugs here. Sometimes when I click the chest icon, it doesn't work, the box remain there, and the countdown never reset. This bug started a few days ago and I missed several new items🥹
