FFXIV allows for all professions on the same toon with no consequences, and that works just fine

Yes, you'll have to leave Chromie Time first as that places you in a different phase from players who aren't due to the content scaling

Just go back to her in your capital city

You can rejoin Chromie Time afterwards (as long as you're not level 50+)

Exile's Reach is a newer, more modern starting tutorial zone and will teach you more about the game, and better than the old starting zones

It could possibly be a bug. I still recommend just making a new character for Exile's Reach

While I have ya here, I am in retail, and I was wondering if the Garrison is kind of player housing for the game, and since I just started up retail a few weeks ago if it is instantly accessible?

Sort of. It's Blizzard's take on player housing (A poor take according to many).
Garrison is part of the Warlords of Draenor expansion. If you've just started on a new account, you're required to level 1-50 in the Battle for Azeroth expansion before you can level in other parts of the game. Once you've reached 50 on at least one character, you'll unlock "Chromie Time".
Chromie is an NPC you can talk to, who let you choose one of the expansions to level in, which will scale the quests and enemies after your character's level.

Once you do unlock Warlords of Draenor and go there for the first time, there will be a short prologue to play through, which will take about an hour or so to finish. Once you've finished the prologue, you'll start unlocking Garrison, and as you progress through the story questlines, your Garrison will grow and you'll unlock new things for it

It’s mostly just the Pestilant slimes, there are 3 iirc, 2 you will come across via a normal route and you know it’s them because they drop a big red pool when they die

Maybe your friend didn't accept being locked out to your instance. If you beat a boss or more and invite people, then they can't run the raid without it being the same lockout as yours.

They always get a notification for it, too.

What else did you expect to do after the campaign? i did my Keystone Master Achievement and Ahead of the Curve Achievement via M+ and Raids for the Mounts and now that im done with that im back to leveling alts, farming Mounts and shit. im sure you will find something thats fun to you

I think I just have one last question. They made it so you can freely swap covenants after a certain renown level on your main, right? Does that mean you’ll be at 0 renown with the other 3 though and have to grind them up as well? Basically what I want to do is get the appearance sets for all armor types for each of the covenants. Does that mean doing all 4 campaigns on each character you want that with or is there an easier way?

You just wont be able to join a guild or something from another realm but in my experience thats no problem. most groups i've encountered have a community group anyway for Cross Faction/Realm coordination

Depends on what you want to do. I guess most players make sure to get the campaigns done and then work on their gear, M+ rating and maybe try the raid

iirc you have to atleast finish chapter 2 of each campaign to get to the next one. 1st is the Covenant Campaign, 2nd the Chains of Domination Campaign and the 3rd i forgot the name of but thats the Zereth Mortis Campaign. I recommend to finish atleast the 4th Chapter of the Chains of Domination Campaign to unlock flying in the first 4 zones if you havent already

If you're trying to look for them in the random dungeon queue, you won't be able to. If you're trying to enter old dungeons or mythic dungeons, you'll need to go to the dungeon entrance itself with a group you've made or joined yourself

And you'll need to be level 60 to do mythic dungeons in current content

I think I want to start playing again, especially for Dragonflight
So my question is what do I need in order to start playing dragonflight when it comes out(besides buying it xD)

You need max level minus two levels

So if shadowlands max level is 60, at 58 you will be able to start dragonfight

I recommend completing the campaigns on whatever character you're planning on starting DF with at the very least, but you've got half a year so there's plenty of time

technically any level you can join a guild, just be wary that the current roaster of guilds are only looking for M+ mythics (it also depoends on what server you go too as well)

in my experience, playing in a high pop server theres VERY few newbie friendly guilds

If you swap you'll go to level 1 on your new one but it saves your progress if you return to the precious one you had

Just don't expect to randomly click buttons, skip cutscenes, and ignore dialog and still know what you should be doing

Make sure you're also paying attention to the game and the guides, and learning to play the game for yourself. Many new players get dragged by friends or experienced players with the intention of helping, but end up just dragging them through things that teach them what they need to know to play the game

Last bit of advice: don't make a death knight or demon hunter as your first character's class, as these classes were introduced differently during their expansions and have a different starting experience that can be very confusing for inexperienced players and neither include a proper tutorial
