You need to have the Garrison Menagerie, so yes, you'll need to establish your garrison

The way to start the WoD content is by going to the Blasted Lands and talking to Khadgar. You can get a portal there from an NPC in front of the Shattrath portal in your capital city's portal room

You may have to do a bit more around your garrison. The menagerie will show up to the right of the main building if you're facing it once it's available

You're >= Lv. 50 then right? That means you're supposed to be in Shadowlands Content and therefore it only lets you queue for such dungeons. You can look at it like any other Chromie Time really. If you're leveling a new Character you start of as a BFA Character thats set to BFA Scaling and only has BFA Dungeons to queue for. You can change that at Chromie to any other expansion, quest through its zones and queue for its dungeons. once you reach 50 you will get put into Shadowlands "Scaling" and can only queue for its dungeons. If you REALLY want to do that quest depending on how strong your character is you could try to solo it

and that means going to the dungeons entrance and physically entering it

There’s a thing called Group Finder in the game, you can create a group and people can join to help you out. That does take some patience as you’ll have to wait and see if others who are on the same quest are looking to do it or if someone will join to help you out.

Have you joined a guild? And if not I highly recommend it as I’m sure you could ask for help in the guild chat and someone might be able to do so.

There’s a General Chat which is just for the zone you’re in

If you're looking to join a guild or community, you can use the in-game Guild & Communities window and use the Guild & Community finder. It will be one of the menu buttons on the bottom-right of your UI (and I think J key by default)

Am I weird for wanting to have loot, xp and skill-ups show in a separate text window? Can you recommend an addon that makes it look good to have two separate chat windows always showing? None of the addons I've looked at seem to do this.

To clarify: I want two chat windows to show, side-by-side, in a way that doesn't look gross. When I put two default chat panes next to each other, there's clutter for each window that I don't want (the 'minimize' button to the right of each window). I want them to be clean, small and simple.

Yes they are different. World Quests appear as Little Icons depicting their Quest Reward on the Map which you automatically "accept" and take part in once you go there. Then do what it says and complete it

like gumball said earlier its hard to get genuine information on this because 1. Its different from server to server because of the realm bound economy and 2. sharing information on this creates competition.
Some easy gold is made by spamming your Mission Table in your Covenant Sanctum tho. You can use TLDR Missions for that and prioritise it for gold.

it might be worth it to learn a bit about professions and then check the various items made via these professions (or their materials) on your auctionhouse via TSM/Underground Journal. You might be able to find out what sells well and then Farm these mats to Craft those items, sell those mats or buy the mats and craft the higher selling items out of them. Whatever makes sense on your realm

im having a really hard time finding a class i enjoy playing, I am somewhat new to the game where I just returned from a long break and cannot find a class that I enjoy and want to commit to levelling, I do not have shadowlands, but I do have BFA, I have a few level 50s, one in the past week, and the other 2 from a while ago, but I am having trouble finding one I enjoy that is not already levelled. Does anyone have any tips for me to find something I enjoy? It seems like every class is boring at the start, but I think thats just my impatient mind saying its weak due to no abilities being open to use yet. Any tips would help, thanks

i just level every class atleast once you can try some characters out with a class Trial to see how they play at a higher level and see if thats resonates with you. then pick that class on a fresh character

and if you havent already try rogue 😛 rogues are great. i love rogues. first class i picked and i never regretted it

You're coming in at the end of this expansion too, so there are numerous catch-up mechanics once you get to endgame in the current expansion

Guidance is so important in this game. I played fire mage as my first ever character and it's a very hard spec to master.

I think Beast Mastery Hunter is easy to play according to videos.

One of the downsides of the game these days, when leveling, is that there's hardly any need to optimize your rotation or learn anything more than a few simple attacks. This seems especially true with my BM hunter. You'd be appalled to hear what I don't know about the class, and I'm nearly level 50.

I.e., giving players more ways to really be challenged while leveling would be good. Maybe there's tough stuff out there I could be doing at level 20, but I don't know what it is.

i just recently started to level a bloodelf paladin for the new bloodknight transmog set. Never played paladin before. the way i aproach a new class is to try and order my skills into a rotation that kinda makes sense and picking talents that further improve my self tought rotation along the way. thats how i did it with warlocks, warriors, shamans, druids and what not. the more you play with your class and observe the way your skills work with one another the more you improve your rotation.

My incentive of doing that is getting to kill my targets faster and not dying to a bigger pull than i expected when it happens. i think thats enough

Faction Specific Zones: Yes some dont really have any Quests for one Faction. Those Zones are then not required to achieve the "Loremaster" achievement of this Continent. For Example in Eastern Kingdoms there is the Zone "Redridge Mountains" which is alliance only and as a Counterpart for Horde you quest through "Hillsbrad Foothills"

And i guess for Vanity Items (sorry i never heard the word "Vanity" ) have a look at Transmogging. Basically you can copy the appearence of any fitting item over your existing item as long as its not of low quality. (some stricter rules apply but thats basically it)

like i said the questlines from the opposite faction are not required to achieve loremaster

oof i dont know but you could do them anyway on another character for good measure. i myself am currently playing through everything there is via multiple characters + chromie time

You don't need heirlooms to level, they're just a convenience. Many items you'll get even questing tend to be better than an heirloom of equivalent level

And many gold making guides aren't specific because realm economies differ dramatically, and not to mention that people trying to make gold don't want more competition for their chosen market

Also, toys won't help with leveling either

Without Shadowlands you're going to have an even more difficult time making good steady gold, as most things that people are buying and selling are for the current expansion

Even casual endgame content gets you 2-5k gold just doing the basic daily content, the covenant callings
