Gear doesn't really matter while you're leveling. Even then, if you don't have Shadowlands and are only capped to level 50, the gear you get from the Visions of N'Zoth content will probably be the best that's easily attainable. Even then, that gear won't even be as good as gear you get from questing in Shadowlands content

Game has progressed a lot more since back then and is way more accessible. You can play all forms of content if you're a casual or a tryhard just fine

The group finder definitely isn't normally dead. It populates cross-realm so there's almost always several groups up for mythic dungeons in current content

A good place to start for you might be finding a guild to do dungeons with, as well. Never forget that one of the M's in MMO stands for multi-player, and a guild can provide a group of regular people to play with so that you don't need to constantly pug content with randoms

true just means trying to find one that does them from time to time, just never really been into it to much because I'm not good with social stuff like that but I'm sure there are discords and stuff that will make finding a guild that will take a casual for trying some mythic dungeons

The levelling doesnt have real challanges in retail, the quests are simple(or at least most of them), but if you try classic/tbc classic you can experience a harder way of levelling

I'm starting to break into Mythics with guildies - I never was interested in them in previous expansions but I'm having more fun in SL. I'm too under geared atm for the new market one, but I can do 8-10s without issue.

I'm looking to get more serious about it - can anyone recommend some addons to use? I already use DBM, Details, WeakAuras, and GTFO, with Grid2, Bartender and SUF for Ux changes.

Possibly, you start off with 3 callings, that is 6 renown total, if iguess correctly you get 18 from your campaign(9 chapters, 2 renown each) and you do some dungeons and stuff, and you are there

So seems like I broke the game? I skipped the cutscene after I took the getaway boat at Tol Dagor, and then they started rowing forward- the fatigue bar came up, and I couldn't get out of the boat- so i relogged, the boat disappeared, but now i can't get to the place I need to go to bc im still back at Tol Dagor. tbh with the current balancing all healer specs are good and capable of doing high keys

so you can go with what you prefer

if you prefer disc then go disc

besides this patchs dps, all tanks and healers are balanced very well and all are pretty good

even mistweaver is doing good this season if you know what youre doing when it comes to fistweaving

There was a one-time free swap back to your old covenant added, but I'm not sure how it would effect if you've already started the quest to rejoin in progress. I want to say abandon it and see if the free swap is available if you're still considered a member of your new covenant, but I don't think I can confirm that it won't make you do the 2 week quest again

I have a question regarding the Plater AddOn. So far I am able to make it change the nameplate font but only when I click on a character. I haven't found a way to change the font of floating name on top of a character's head. Anyone have an idea how to accomplish this? I have looked around a lot but found no answers. I'm sure this can be done as it was actually changed once I loaded some AddOns

Anybody know what the issue here is? I like to play on max zoom, and zooming out fully seems to start messing character clothing up, this is only happened since 9.1 as far as I am aware. my guess is fucked up quest pacing which usually happens every patch. just for your own sake try to keep all quests in the correct order if you care about the story. its confusing sometimes

@native fable But yeah, as a new player you should know that any class and race combo is viable for all forms of content, and it won't matter until you're pushing the hardest difficulties of content at endgame will certain choices have more of an outcome on your performance. Like Arch said, Death Knights and Demon Hunters aren't exactly recommended for new players as they start off the beaten path recommended for new players and have a different sort of learning curve, as when they were introduced they were only available at higher levels and introduced in later expansions

Subjective. The whole point of being Horde is to embrace the "noble savage" archetype and while blood elves were brought in due to effective story reasons and needs for survival, and just picking them because they're "the most human" is thematically nonsense

It's kind of whack especially considering how orcs are supposed to be the Horde's human analog for population and foundation reasons and yet belves are the most played Horde race just because they're "pretty"

the 250 anima world quests/world bosses, there is 2 brokers in oribos that reward alot of anima for their weekly quests

and you can also get anima passively from raiding, running dungeons, callings or korthia dailes/rares

Ye you should if you are playing solo, but if you wanna do stuff in the game as a healer other than questing, change your loot spec to your healing spec

Swap to healing spec, set up your ui, watch some guides about it, go into a normal dungeon and try yourself out

Heya I would love to help but im not strong enough :( My suggestion is to go around and look in Oribos (if you have unlocked it) or a populated area for a high level player, and they are most likely to help you out! People around here from what I've noticed, don't usually go out of their way to help LFG's or they dont have the right server. Hope this helped!

Just don't start out with Death Knight or Demon Hunter. Those are technically "hero classes" that start at a slightly higher level and off the beaten path for new players, so they're generally not recommended for your first time

For blood every covenant it really good and playable
necrolord offers a lot of damage with emeni buffing your allies + a second goreefiends geasp of sorts
Nightfae makes you the most mobile and adds good damage scaling with mob density
Venthyr makes bonestorm nutty and helps with threat and runic Power
The kyrians ability does most Single target damage and rediction.

Nonetheless, the Covenants are now coming together to fight a great threat, and there’s an upcoming new season, and they’re temporarily feeling more compatible with those who previously left their sanctums.
Considering all of the recent balance changes and new rewards like Covenant mounts, we’re creating a hotfix that will reset the betrayer status for all players who previously left any Covenants. This will be one-time renovation to your relationship with your old Covenant intended to make it easier for you to return and pick back up where you left off with them.
We expect the hotfix to go live in the next couple of days."

Does this also mean for the people who had already started the rejoin quest already to return to their old covenant so i can abandon that quest? I spoke to a blizz employee but didnt get any sense out of them either about this, maybe someone else experienced the same thing as me?

I don't think they anticipated people leaving before the one-time swap was implemented while they were in the middle of the quest, so who knows. If you can't get an answer in a ticket then you'll just have to find out. Might as well just finish with the quest and get it over with

Yeah, but you left while in the middle of the swapping process. The change was made for people who have swapped once or might in the future, not people who stopped halfway through and then left for five months. You're literally an outlier
