and the dungeons and raids are also fun
you can do pvp too or gather cool things to wear,or cool mounts to use
if you like the game then buy it,i'd suggest getting in a friendly A C T I V E(this is the most important part) guild
and,most importantly,do not be discouraged if someone shits on your ability to play the game or you have bad group experiences

It's a known bug. Blues have been talking about it. A fix for it was being rolled out over the course of the last two days, "healing" affected guilds. It's taking a bit longer than anticipated as the fix itself is apparently causing more strain than anticipated and so it's just a matter of waiting.
Basically it's not just you and they've also instructed not to open tickets about it as GMs can't do anything for it.

What's an easier and better spec to go with frost or unholy?
Od recommend you get some weapons that can work for both and read up on the basics, rorations, tricks, warnings, spells and figure out something simple for each, then try them out for a few dungeons or several minutes on the training dummies simulating normal mayhem(moving around switching to the swam dummies then dungeon dummy, then some movement speed and back to the raid boss as if you had more going on that dps) then decide which one feels better and clicks more with your brainwaves in gameplay, then go that way.
The damage difference is usually pretty nonissue and if youre better with one its damage will be better. Trying to retrain your brain to match the perfect simulated dps of something that doesnt flow with you will always be worse and less fun than doing what feels good and makes sense.

Could be heirlooms, could be party buffs, could be mob stats, could and likely is just scaling. Esp if youre in dungeon groups with a carying spread in party levels, the uniform scaling is... very wonky sometimes.
And at that level all of a warriors damage is physical so mobs with good parry/block/armor will take less. (Stand behind your targwt for max output)

You're better off just trying to get acclimated with the current game otherwise you're going to be holding yourself back a lot. The current leveling route for new players 10-50 is in the previous expansion content, Battle for Azeroth, and then after that from 50-60 and endgame is the current expansion content in Shadowlands. It's best if you try to get into current content sooner rather than later since the old content will be there regardless. Wowpedia, Wowhead, and Nobbel87 on youtube are all great resources you can use to get caught up on the current setting and previous content, and after you've caught up with current content you can go back freely and do old content at your leisure
If you try to do all 16+ years of content right off the bat before joining endgame, you're just not going to get any form of a true experience and you're likely to burn yourself out

Find some new player guides on wowhead, let Nobbel87 play in the background while you level, and stick to the intended leveling routes in game until you get caught up. After that you can go back as you please and do whatever you want on your character, or on alts

anyway my recommendation: make 1-2 characters per expansion (or per continent if you are in classic/cata territory) and just quest/level through them. it will feel nice, create an army of decent alts and you will get to see everything

The issue is how to best get into the game, not to do after you've already been in it
And as you can see from the variance in discussion, it can be too easy to get sidetracked and overwhelmed with all of the stuff you can do and the varied ways you can do it
So it's best to Keep It Simple, Stupid and follow the path until you're comfortable to try something else out when you're a new player

This game is at its best when you fully utilize cooperation and interaction

i play it solo for like 95% of the time. for dungeons you can auto queue in the dungeon finder. you can also raid via matchmaking but the loot there sucks so for raiding you should form a group on your own but apart from that you can go through it pretty much on your own

yo guys, brand new to the game and was just wondering: is it just the newly added areas that get updated graphics? wondering becuase i started in exiles reach where the graphics were good( im lead to believe this is part of the newest expansion), leveled my charcarter to level 10 and then made a new death knight charactor whose starting area is old and the graphics were worse? im probably wrong but was just curious

Because the Death Knight starting zone came out with Wrath of the Lich King, the second expansion, back in 2008
Usually when assets get updated in current content, it also retroactively updates some older content visuals. That's why you'll see ogres in Outland (TBC) that have newer models like the ogres on AU Draenor (WoD)

It would be a massive undertaking and generally a waste of resources, unless it served to further the game in the moment, like they did with Arathi and Darkshore.
