Can you farm the same level over and over in the hopes a legendary power will eventually drop for you? i.e without going to the next level... make the farming easier... or is it a once you complete a 3 it is no longer a drop option? Or are you better off increasing your chances by running a 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 etc 5 chances that the legendary will drop verus you doing a single 7 not gettin it and now you've exhausted the lower chances you might have had to get it?

@granite robin So for Mythic+ you have to create the group just as mythic. When you go into the instance, there is a little pedestal you can place the keystone into. - No you will not "lose" due to a wipe. However they are timed. Even if you dont beat the timer you will still get loot but it will downgrade your key a level.

No. Your first time thru, you must do the Campaign. Blizz has set it up this way. You can't leave to the next zone without progressing thru the story, and Blizz has designed it so you can't unlock the other Shadowlands dungeons without making it to the zone the other dungeons are in.

Alliance is your human, gnome, dwarf, elf, etc characters (the “good” guys) and the horde is your orc, blood elf, undead, etc. characters (the “bad” guys). But that’s relative though, I’m not sure if they’re actually good/bad or not based on story or whatever

Hello everyone :)
I am quite new in WOW and i have a question regarding the Shadowlands expension.
To reach Shadowlands i had to level my char. to 50 through BFA. This was piece of cake since the leveling difficulty is really low.
But then i was hoping that the expension would increase the leveling, as it was mentioned in some videos on youtube (Nixxiom for exemple). I am in Bastion and so far i'm really bored because i kill all the mobs in no time and i feel like it's really linear, i don't really travel in the world, all the quests so far are just a few steps from each other :/
Will it get harder at some point ? After already one hour i'm not even reading the story since i dont find any challenge at all.
Also people talk a lot about the ENDGAME where it's supposed to be harder...But what do you do at the Endgame basically besides redoing the same 8 dungeons and raids over and over ?
I'm sorry if i sound bitter, i just want to understand, because i've been hearing about WOW for soooooo many years, and here i am, as a new player, completely bored already, which is a shame !!

Hi, sorry you are finding it borring, maybe wow just isn't for you? At endgame it will be more dungeons and raid. And the covenant progression, and getting Torghast done. The dungeons get harder at lvl 60, as you get the M+ keys, they increas in difficulty as you get higher keys. If this is not your thing, then you will be bored also in endgame. I am not much into PvP myself, but maybe you should look into that? Also the raid has 4 difficulties, LFR, normal, Heroic and Mythic. I recommend a guild if you want to raid and get progression on that.

At first when i bought WOW i thought i'd be going through the world, meeting tones of players doing their thing. But i barely see anyone so far in the open world of Shadowlands (besides the capitale). That was my first disapointment.
Second, i thought the difficulty would be harder so i'd have to team up with people to succeed. But here it's so easy i dont find it funny at all.
I'm okay doing some dungeons, but if it's to do the same 10 dungeons over and over again, the interest for the game gonna last only the time for me to complet them....i dont think i'll be playing the same dungeon over and over, what's really the point of that ?

Eh meeting people depends on your server and whether your guild is active or not imo

If you're in a low pop server like me, you might not run into people as often. Also if your guild is not active, it's hard to ask to go do something with someone

MMOS are all about getting better gear tbh. And doing M+ is helping you get better gear. I don't know what server you are on, but as Rice says, low pop is less chance to meet ppl. If I was you I'd start looking for a guild, this game is a social one, and with a nice group of ppl it's more enjoyable.

there's no scaling in BGs

so a person with ilvl200 will technically win against a person with ilvl190 assuming everything is the same

for me, the most obvious difference is healing done. i play hpal and i top the charts for alliance since most other healers arent at my ilvl yet

For you, I think the first step you should take is figure out what you want to do in the end. If you want really good gear and be a really strong player, then obviously pushing M+ and raids is one thing. If you'd rather explore the world and do the questlines for the lore then do those (they're everywhere). If you'd rather fight in the Maw and have the difficulty fighting increase as the eye of the jailer goes up then go to the maw. If you want to look super cool then go find where to get transmog. If you wanna slay the horde/alliance then do pvp. If you wanna collect all the mounts then do mount runs. If you really like pets then collect pets and do pet battles. If you really don't have a preference but just feel bored playing solo then bring a friend to have good times.

it's pretty cheap to level your LW anyway, a couple hundred gold from 1 to 50 and I don't remember how much later

Well, we noticed that the game has a Party Sync option, so he got on one of his higher level characters and we tried the party sync, but it doesnt seem to work. Could someone help us? It doesn't give him quests, it just sinks it to your lvl. You will be locked out of quests you are currently on whilst sinked. If you go back to where you got the quests, you both should be able to pick them up and do them together.

Most classes have an ability to stop their momentum and prevent themselves from dying to fall damage. Get in the habit of using those abilities anytime youve forgotten youre not on your druid or demon hunter. For classes that dont have a way to stop their momentum, low levels, or when an ability is on cooldown, use a goblin glider kit or horde/alliance glider kit. Buy a couple gliders off the ah for cheap and bind them to the same key on all your characters.

I don't get it. What was the idea when it first came out that you could do 10 man versions of 25 man raids? Is the loot better in 10 man, or better in 25 man?

It was before they introduced scaling, but wanted to make raids a little more accessible for people rather than needing a whole dumptruck full of players (40) to actually complete them

Don't quote me on this next part, but I think the 10 man content was inherently a little easier than 25, mostly due to the fact that there's 25 people to screw up a mechanic vs 10. There was a minorish difference in ilvl, but I think the content was mostly supposed to be around the same difficulty? I'm kind of going off of hazy memories at this point (and old articles because I'm curious myself at this point).
Note: It seems like yeah, the content was 'tuned' appropriately for 10vs25 people. Some fights that were more mechanically demanding of a large number of people became more difficult in 10 man because there were simply less people (and a death or whatever might mean there wasn't someone to actually do the mechanic), where 'punishing' mechanics hurt 25 sized groups more, as it was more likely someone were to screw it up, more chaos, etc.
