Out of curiosity, is there an add on that I can use that gives me the ability to set when an ability glows?

For example, I play BDK and often times forget to use Dancing Rune Weapon. I would like to set it to glow when it's off cooldown and I am in combat as a reminder to use the move, I would also like my taunts and interrupts to glow when off cooldown and in combat so I have an easier visual cue for when it is ready to use, I know weak auras can do something similar to this, but I would like something that is confined to my action bars, not be extra clutter on my screen, as well as something that has just a simple interface that I can set up to my liking and not rely on a third party to make the interface for me. If you're learning and leveling then you will be fine just using the "Starter Build" already available from the ingame talent menu, and it well even highlight which talent to choose next when you level. You really shouldn't worry too much about your DPS while you're leveling, as scaling and tuning isn't very optimized for the leveling process as much as it is for max level. What you should be looking at on your wowhead spec guide is the Rotation section, and compare what's recommended off of how you're playing and adapt it to your playstyle as necessary. Wait until you're 80 before you start worrying on gear progression and improving your DPS

Eh it's rather subjective tbh. Different people approach the game for different reasons. Personally I usually recommend learning how and why your abilities are used in certain priorities/rotations and how they can adjust and change dynamically depending on contextual circumstances and mechanics--and then practicing so you can help develop good muscle memory so you can just focus on playing. Rotation addons tend to not take into account different situation circumstances or mechanics. But, like I said, it's a matter of what works best for you as an individual player

I'd recommend looking at what's recommended on wowhead and comparing it to your own playstyle over YouTube, mostly because YouTube guides can quickly become outdated as patches and hotfixes roll out while wowhead's guide writers do their best to keep up to date

But the thing is it is not something I have done with weakauras. It just started one day after I had been off wow for a few months and I cant figure out what addon it is. It plays Mario music when entering a Dungun and I think Mario boss music during a bossfight. reloading my UI gets rid of the music until I reload the Dungun or enter a new one, but that just makes it more annoying to narrow down what addon it is. Also, I don't have weak auras at all. It might be something with DBM but if it is I cant figure out how to turn it off.

This is not great advice. Damage meters are a visual way to see your progression as you level. It shows how strong you are getting.

All classes/specs are simple to get into with high skill ceilings to show off player skill.

You will only ever be bad at a class and spec if you never play it and practice. Take you're time, don't rush, enjoy yourself.

The only 3 classes not recommended for new players are Death Knight, Evoker and Demon Hunter, solely because they each have their own unique starting experiences not on WoWs tutorial island. These three classes assume you're already acquainted with the ins and outs on the game.

My nvidia specs say i have like 200fps but my true fps are like 20 and it stutters heavily (its only when i join dungeons and there are alot of effects). Something like a high Render scale or the wrong AA setting, Ray Tracing stuff can mess with it pretty hard. Also make sure your antivirus allows wow, check your direct X and reinstall it

I would suggest locking your FPS to 60 first of all. WoW becomes unstable past 60 as it's not designed with high fps in mind. I used to get really bad stuttering when I had fps unlocked so try that.

it could be something like having the wrong cable hookup to your hard drive, a bad windows install, to much bloatware

Cool. Unfortunately, despite you not hearing about it, this is indeed real. You get a lot of hitching, tearing and stuttering at high Framerates in WoW as the engine isn't designed for it.

I have 32gb of 5400 RAM, Rtx 4070, i7-13400k. This is a common issue and it is generally recommended to lock fps to 60.

Yep, that was the same issue I had. It would get worse when trying to Dragonride. Halfway thru DF I finally went googling to try and solve it and found the 60 fos lock solution. Instantly solved everything for me. No more freezing, no more stuttering. Smooth 4k 60 with the occasional dip to 40 when in high pop areas or when there is lots of spells on screen.

For the shell, if you go to a Lunker sighting (near rivers; it looks like a tusk that juts out from the ground with some fishing nets around it) and use it for the first time it will give you an achievement after you kill the Lunker I believe. Evoker is by far my favorite, but that's just me. I've heard it's not for everyone, and I'm sure that goes for all classes, but personally, the Evokers are my all time favorite class. Preservation is a little tricky now that they have three different talent tree builds you can choose, but it's fun for me at least and worth a shot :).

They also have a heroism skill too

I've personally had a blast doing pres healing and, while I haven't tried Augmentation spec, Devastation is also fun ^^

Death Knights, Demon Hunters, and Evokers are the only classes not recommended for new/inexperienced players solely because they lack a proper starting tutorial experience for the game itself. Experiment with different classes and specs until you find the playstyle that clicks with you the most.

It depends on whether or not you have hold casting or some other input casting set up in the game options--Frost Bolt doesn't need to be held down to cast, and it will continue to cast until it's either done casting or interrupted once you cast it. Evokers are the only class that has abilities that require actually holding down the button

It's very possible that you holding down the key is counting as multiple keypresses, trying to cast Frost Bolt while you're trying to cast Frost Bolt

I skipped most of DF so I have a question about engineering. I've googled and read the TWW engineering guide on wow head but I'm not really getting anywhere.

I have the goggles recipe. I've made them. How do I keep them upgraded throughout the expansion? Do I need to discover new recipes? Is it recrafting? Both?

Tbh the entire engineering overhaul seems very unintuitive. I'm sure it's more fun than just grinding a few recipes over and over but it's very confusing

Fantasy-wise i was thinking about pairing it with Jewelcrafting, since they both use the same matherials, and i think there are a few cool mounts that require jewelcrafting in the old world.

Well you see, you have to think about pet battles really like you would games of pokemon. If you try to have one universal team, you're going to run into many challenges. You want battle pets that have family and ability type advantages over the battle pets you're planning on fighting
A good place to start practicing building you own battle pet team compositions is by looking at pet battle world quests and looking them up on wowhead, then checking the comments sections for which pet teams and abilities different players used for those pet battles
Always remember that one battle pet might be strong against some other pets, but there are always other pet types and abilities that counter them too

If you're strictly interested in leveling, I'd recommend looking up "Super Squirt Day" on wowhead--I'm ingame at the moment--but it's a pet battle even that takes place in your Draenor garrison that is excellent for battle pet leveling

weapon is ilvl 558, upgradable to 580 and costs 1750 honor. 1 comp stomp nets you 375 (with the flask) and takes 5 mins

General rule of thumb for old expansion questing, do every quest you see as a lot of the time, quest chains are linked together and some don't appear without another being completed, etc

Hi there. Need a little help. I haven't played Shadowlands but want to get few nice tmogs. When I enter the Oribos portal in Stormwind I can't go elsewhere but back to Stormwind. I mean there is no portals on 2nd floor and etc. Does this mean that I have to complete Shadowlands campaign to get access to raid locations? Is there any way to avoid it?

Oribos only has a portal back to SW on the main floor, outside. The upstairs portal/flight floor is to take you to the 4 covenants, but as you play the story, you'll open portals to Korthia in the Maw and Zereth Mortis (both raid locations)
