hey guys. I'm leveling a rogue, which is currently level 47. I have encountered very high queue times: Usually around 10-15 minutes for dungeons, and anything from 20-100 minutes for pvp. I was wondering what the cause is. The following are some of my best guesses. Can anyone confirm or deny?

1. I'm not max level yet
2. I'm playing horde on a server (Ravencrest) where 98% is Alliance
3. I didn't buy the current expansion, only the subscription fee. The latest one i bought was battle for azaroth.

If you're only having to wait 15 minutes for a 5man queue as a dps, count your lucky stars--normal waiting is 45-90 mins

These are all major contributing factors, yes. You're leveling, and your queue also relies on anyone who is also leveling and they're attuned to the expansion content you're leveling in. By default that's BFA content for levels 10-60, and using Chromie Time you can select a different expansion to level 10-60. Most people are either leveling alts in the current Pandaria Remix event, or are all currently playing at max level in the current expansion content

But the Horde part doesn't matter, since the queue is for more than your realm

If you're trying to level exclusively in dungeons, as a DPS, that's another thing that will slow you down. Leveling via dungeons only hasn't been good for several years now since level scaling content was introduced during the Legion expansion

It will reduce XP about 70% from 60-70, but also have the Event that should be good to farm for levels.

Blood is well known for being almost entirely self sufficient even into high end keys and mythic raid due to their incredibly strong self healing
It’s utility is on the lower end but still has a variety of cc, but as mentioned they make up by being almost unkillable besides one shots and can completely immune mechanics with ams, deaths advance and icebound fortitude.
Vengeance is highly mobile, has the best cc with some decent group utility with darkness and 5% magic damage buff
Also is somewhat fairly self sufficient and tanky just nowhere near blood dk self healing
Both have good damage and generally aren’t really complicated to play and both are more than competitive for 99.9% of the playerbase

This can all change up heading into the new expansion with dk rework and vdh changes/nerfs

i think its somewhat randomised? i couldnt tell you but the mossy mammoth items are locked to specific versions of the vault that rotate each week, so its fairly timegated even if youre full clearing the vault for the items needed

If it is a personal drop, quest reward, or they equip and learn or change the appearance then that gear can become soulbound as well

More objectively: All race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content and the best one is going to be the one you're better at playing and enjoy the most. The meta is constantly changing, and it's incredibly situational and circumstantial and is relied on too broadly without the correct context by most of the player base, and if you have to ask what's meta then frankly you might not be playing the content where the meta even matters because you would know by that point

Raid finder is like a completely separate system with separate difficulty. It automatically fills raid group like dungeon finder. If you want to do heroic you need to create premade group invite members manually and change your character's raid setting to heroic before entering the raid on foot.

No. Draenor's 10-60 leveling process is about the same as the other expansions starting with Pandaria, and the critical thing that makes them efficient is the density of content in those zones. Quests, rares, treasures, exploring, bonus objectives, etc. Leveling 60-70 can only be done in Dragonflight expansion content, which requires owning Dragonflight. Leveling by spamming dungeons also has not been efficient for leveling for several years ever since level scaling was introduced during the Legion expansion

The laugh you'll have after that is more memorable than any item you'll replace next patch.

1. To echo Gumball: Discussion of private servers here or just about anywhere WoW-related will get you banned as private servers are illegal. Amend your post.
2. If you've not played WoW before, the free Trial Account is your best option--you can level a bunch of classes (no time limit) up to Level 20 to see which you like before committing money to a subscription. With your 1st character, select the "Exile's Reach" option to see how WoW functions
   2a) Choose a small game time amount (eg. 60 days) to start to see how often you play and if WoW intrigues you enough to stick with it. After that, you can choose a different sub model if needed. If Blizz gives you a character boost with your new sub do not use it. You're new, take the time to learn the class by leveling from the bottom
3. Wowhead is your friend. Just about anything you need to look up concerning WoW can be found there. This Discord also has people that will answer questions, but please do some searching on your own before asking here
4. I don't know what the current EU situation is for servers based on language. Can a Polish speaker jump in for that?

Play Retail, it has a starting island that explains how WoW functions. Ask other players on the island if they know of a guild that is newbie-friendly, you may get some suggestions that way
The class that is "easy to get" is the one you're comfortable playing, which is why you should use the free trial to try a bunch of different classes. What is "best" changes with every patch, so don't be concerned about that.

Boosts do nothing but give you levels and 20 renown with select DRAGONFLIGHT reps. It gives you nothing from previous expansions. No quests completed, no achievements. It gives you mediocre gear.

Boosts are best used on alts on the opposite faction or for farming. Never boost a class/spec you don't already know how to play; it's a trap.

If taking engineering, take mining--it needs the support. If taking alchemy, take herbalism, same reason

Having to swap toons cuz your Alchemist ran out of a certain herb (and the AH prices are too expensive) but juuust needs 5 more of said herb, mailing said herb or shoving it in the guild bank, then swapping back to your Alchemist toon to collect it gets old real fast. Ask me how I know

Somewhat new player very confused on the transmog changes coming up? I did some mog runs and got some wearable items but I can’t transmog them. I heard we are going to be able to transmog into said items soon? I’m a DH for reference so I can wear leather and was under the impression I could wear cloth as well.

You can collect them on any character, the armor and weapon restrictions for mogging them will still remain

So does this mean that for example let’s say I get a piece of plate.. I will unlock plate for collections but can only wear it on my characters that wear plate?
