Hello!
Theres a bug on MoP Remix that is wiping your character (you have no gear, no trinket, gems, even cloak) and zero item level. To fix this you must delete your character and restore him. All items will back 👍
If you just logged and has no item, delete the char and bring him back

so im playing the mop remix, and im doing the isle of thunder campaign, but on the take the forge stage two, where youre flying that thing and you have to jump from one to another to kill the zandalari guys, itll randomly boot me off, and i have no idea why. am I doing something wrong?

You can trade it if it's not an upgrade, but it's also perfectly valid to keep for transmog or gold.

That helps a ton. Is there a search prompt that will allow me to find content specific to me? For example, if i search bm hunter build WOW, it gives me level 70 builds and best builds for level 70 etc. Id just like to know what i put after the WOW to find subscription only content. maybe "wow retail" or "wow no dragonflight"

normally it's used as a pvp term, as there's a community that pvp at a lower level than max (typically those that end in '9', i.e lvl19 etc)

But it might point you in the right direction. Content for what you need is unfortunately few and far between because the majority of the player base plays at max level.

See the SoO skip? Do you have to have cleared it on Mythic to get the skip altogether or is it difficulty specific? I've cleared it on Normal and expected to be able to use the scroll on Normal but that's not the case, it seems.

Hi all, deciding if I should come try WoW again but I'm confused.

I originally started playing due to 2 work colleagues being massive fans, towards the end of WoD (I quite enjoyed the garrison thing) I then played for a good year into Legion, I felt overwhelmed though by the amount of things I felt I had to do, I then came back to try unlock those allied races, only unlocking Lightforged Dranei, looking at my subscription I remember buying Shadow lands but never played it (silly mistake n waste of monies)

is classic just a re-release of the game?

Is war within the current or upcoming expansion?

Will I need to play the battle for azeroth, Shadow lands, dragon flight?

Will my characters from before still be usable? ( A gnome warlock, a Dranei paladin)

classic is a re-release of the original game, they kept updating it with the first (Burning Crusade), second (Wrath of the Lich King) and now third (Cataclysm) expansion. unless you want to know how the game was back in the day (with minimal adjustments) you can pretty much ignore that.
the only thing that is different is Classic Season of Discovery. that's another re-release of the original but with a decent amount of changes/adjustments. it's still very outdated tho compared with retail (the normal world of warcraft today).

The War Within is the upcoming expansion (Dragonflight is the current expansion).

you pretty much can play what ever you want up until Dragonflight, from level 60-70 it's only Dragonflight, before that (depending on your level and so on a little) you can pretty much chose what expansion you wanna play and feel the leveling experience.

what do you mean by worth?

for the story most would say no, Dragonflight has a pretty uninteresting story. however if you are a big lore fan, sure just do it anyways, i've done and read every single quest in the game, even if 80% of it is very boring. there are always some fun parts.

for leveling? yea i mean you level in the intended paste which isn't bad, you totally can just quest from level 60-70.

for endgame unlocks? not really, you don't unlock anything that you need afaik.

for collectible unlocks? sure, there's a lot of stuff you unlock. and a lot of it is cool.

I meant more so for gearing at lvl 70 or getting any materials like flightstones or crests. Someone mentioned that the crests aren't the same type used anymore as the ilvl is higher, but there is quite a few flightstones. I don't really mind too much for lore

imo yes it is very worth starting, the game will be alive for at least another decade if not decades. and it will consistently get updated and maybe a little changed over time.
there is only one big downside atm, the new player experience is terrible in retail, however i still suggest to play retail and not classic, classic is just very outdated for modern standards and super slow, but some people prefer that. but i think most that enjoy classic do it for the nostalgia.
if you have any questions about how i suggest you start the game, pls let me know. because it can be very overwhelming if you just go into it, and you get very confused very fast.

is anyone else in remix having a problem with the quest "Heart Of The Alliance" in the shieldwall campaign? im doing the quest at level 23, all the previous quests in the chain have been fine, but for some reason all the hostile mobs in this quest that i have to beat are level 40

i only know they're level 40 because they start of friendly. but once i interact with them for the quest they turn hostile, and become level 💀

Wow tokens will probably always be the best way to make gold and allied races are unlocked by completely their recruitment questlines found at the embassy in either stormwind or orgrimmar once ur level 40-50 iirc

there is no way for horde to apply to alliance guilds. you need to have a 2nd person on in the guild and invite your horde alt. it's the only way to get cross faction guilds to work right now.

i keep dying over n over as a sub rogue, anyone got tips? i dont get enough energy to spam abilites and a small hp potion every 30 seconds doesnt do alot

You're not supposed to spam abilities, you're supposed to use them when they're a priority to be used and you've saved the energy/combo points to use them. You should also be using more CC abilities to control targets, stun and interrupt and kite them when necessary, and use your evasives and defensives in addition to the crimson vial (which ideally you only need to use in emergencies)

If you're constantly spamming abilities that consume energy to gain combo points, you won't have the energy to actually spend the combo points

I'd recommend reading and studying wowhead's sub rogue guide and comparing what it recommends against how you're playing

To anyone who has race changed what do you actually lose? Is it anything major I will cry over lol. I have everything from Argent Tournament I did back in Wrath I don't wanna lose. Does it mess with that or does it no longer apply? I am resisting the urge to make my hunter a void elf due to me loving my void elf I made for remix (I only want to play one hunter in TWW is why lol). it scales the content to your level. for SLs and BfA it's not all the important but it also makes the dungeon finder tool queue for those specific expansions dungeons.

The same way you would join or talk in other channels, you type /join services in Stormwind/Orgrimmar if you're not in it, or /services if you're already in it to type in that channel (or / and the number for the channel)

And no, a discord server would be less practical because the person would need to be on your same region AND realm to fill crafting orders and trade properly. The Trade Services channel is already accessible by everyone on your realm who is interested in actual trading/crafting

There really isn't a way to speed it up. One option is just not to do it but farm the timeless tokens. The real timewalker event in modern will sell his repuatation tokens. You can mail it to your current timewalker (which will convert to modern) AFTER this remix ends. Then spend your timeless coins at the vendor.

I don't know if anyone could help me with a question about WoW Remix. In the guardian druid guide, WoWHead says that the order of preference for traits is; Haste > Versatility > Critical = Mastery. However, when recommending prismatic gems he says that he prioritizes; Armor / Critical / Parasite and the AddOn Pawn, which tells me which piece of equipment is better than the other, recommends Mastery over the other characteristics. Is the information in the WoWHead guide correct? Do I need any updates, additional AddOns or other AddOns to complement or replace Pawn to help me?

I recently defeated Garrosh on Mythic through another player's skip and now I have the skip, too. So, it seems you have to defeat him on Mythic (and it just needs to be him, all other bosses unnecessary) in order to unlock the skip for all difficulties.

Just a humorous aspect of when I defeated him through another player's skip, the scroll only worked for the other player and solely teleported him to Garrosh. However, when Garrosh pulls you into one of the visions I was pulled into it too despite still being at the very start of the raid. So, this pulled me into the fight regardless of me not having access to the scroll at the time.

So, I posed this question in classic wow but to no avail. I was hoping to try one last time. On wow head for Cata bis, it mentions the ember shadow spirit diamond as the bis slot for the helm but for some reason it's not showing as active despite my setup being to the exact slot.

I know the cogwheels aren't gems but it's strange that they would recommend a gem if it's incapable of being used. Unless they're saying to go for the socket bonus alone. It just doesn't mention it at all in the guide for pre-bis.

the reason it recommends it as the preraid BiS is the other gear in the list will supply the two yellow gems.

  1. Use raidbots rather than pawn, pawn is pretty outdated in modern wow and doesnt give as accurate of information as actual sims will
  2. because of diminishing returns there is no stat worth stacking as extremely as you have here, 1 point of haste is giving 5x more stats than 1 point of crit is at this point due to how diminishing returns work

I bought an Anachronistic Mantle from her and took it to Valdrakken and upgraded it 5 times with flightstones and crests and the appearance didn't unlock for me.. did I do something wrong?

responded "none of this is something I'm having problems with. I can't get the achievements on my Cloak of Infinite Potential". hopefully an actual human reads it instead of an automated AI

Cataclysm is a Classic environment that basically recreates the expansion. It doesn’t have any of the updates from expansions that happened since then.
