The skip is normally done by accepting the quest from chromie, head to the blasted lands, abandon the quest and run thru the portal. It should still work that way rn unless its been patched, but its worked since Chromie Time was introduced. Really handy.

Don't worry, Q-Bot. My best advice is to get rid of expectations from other games and just take in WoW as is while reaching out to learn more about what you don't know. There are plenty of brand new players who get into endgame content like raiding, mythic keystone dungeons, and rated PvP within their first month of playing

when you open WA, you have options for how to begin- try this, clicking premade auras. What this will do is let you click an ability or buff/aura you want to track, and then automatically make an element that you can then modify in a very simple straight forward way. So try it first with like, a major cooldown you have. Have fun!

Not the answer your question, but I want to say, when I got my item level high enough (I forget, but I at leash finished the new emerald dream questline, so my gear was at the level you get at the end of that), I just yeeted myself into raid finder. It was enough to get the gist of how the fights go, and sure we did wipe but not because it was my fault. Don't be afraid to give it a whirl- also WoWHead's guides on the raids is fine enough too. especially for raid finder.

Now for my own question- right now Im avoiding major UI addons, and want to improve my party frames.

I see in vanilla, the raid frames at least do track buffs and debuffs, things you can dispell, etc. Its not perfect, but decent for vanilla.

But is there any way to improve the party frames for a 5 man and not a raid? I notice as an evoker, I need to mouse-over a very specific part of a partymate's frame to even confirm they have the buffs I put on them. Is there any way around this? lol

ah ok so I think youre talking about a different use-case to what I was thinking. My recommendation would be to enable extra action bars in the interface menu and stack them horizontally using the in-game editor and experiment with giving those hotkeys. But someone else here might have more particular advice

I use Weakauras as simply graphical elements to make me aware of timers and status rather than a replacement for the bars

Honestly I’m not sure where yall are getting this “wow isn’t new player friendly” when there are literally systems in the game in place to do 5-25 man content without the need to have friends also playing the game with you.the LFD/LFR tools are invaluable as a new player tool to dip your feet into multiplayer content without commitment and to learn mechanics.

Finding a group you’d fit in with is more of a self problem than something blizzard has done. Communities/guilds do a common way to find like minded individuals who may or may not play with you

AFAIK, there could be a few reasons for this. But if we say for a moment that it is on 's end ...

To my knowledge and as per my understanding, is notoriously poorly optimized - at least comparatively - and easily causes CPU bottlenecks as it does not utilize all threads equally regardless of your hardware. Which would track with the readings you're seeing. This means that in heavy load areas, such as when you've got a lot of movement with a lot of players (cities/settlements, Raids, Dungeons) your CPU (and mine, and many others') will take a nosedive in terms of performance regardless of how high-end it is. That's not to say that this has to be the only issue, but not only in my experience but in various tests etc it is a game where even the top-end PCs will falter and sometimes stumble when it comes to areas of high population. And often with this factor raised as the culprit.

Additionally, since you mention pulling down the graphics and thus the likely load on your GPU with no change this becomes all the more likely suspect.

Before Dragonflights and probably the Shadowlands UI & Interface revamp, during the fight when I was dealing damage, I could see the numbers indicating my damage (including criticals, etc.) - as shown in the picture.

However, after everything changed, I wasn't able to see them. I didn't have any addon for these numbers; it was just what Blizzard provided, and now I can't find them again. I managed to find settings for healing numbers in the interface, but it wasn't what I wanted. The healing pops were too spammy due to dots, etc. How can I find them again? (Tag me or reply, please. I wouldn't want to miss your help.)

If you are brand new to WoW, do not go with Death Knight, Demon Hunter or Evoker as a first set of characters, as these 3 are Hero classes--they have their own starting questlines that are separate from the normal "hold your hand while we explain how WoW functions" newbie island quest chain. Hero classes are for those with plenty of playtime under their belts from several different classes already and are ready for something with trickier gameplay/rotations
That said, what sort of playstyle interests you? Do you want to be up close and personal against enemies? Fighting from a distance (with or without assistance from a summonable helper)? Or keeping everyone alive?

I play a Worgen Death Knight and I have a few questions I’m hoping you all could answer. Why’d the Worgen Death Knights turn into Gilneans rather than Night Elves? Shouldn’t they actually change into Night Elves? How did Worgen Death Knights come to be? I don’t recall Arthas ever going to Gilneas, so who killed the Sons of Arugal when they escaped from Shadowfang Keep? I haven’t played Classic or Vanilla which probably isn’t helping my case much either. The Worgen Death Knight lore is extremely confusing.

The original worgen are NE druids yes but the PC worgens are their own race of human/worgen.

The lore got muddied when worgen became an PC and had more classes that they could become. So they had to figure a way to separate OG worgen into a new race of worgens. Cause as a player it wouldn’t make very much sense to be a Nightelf worgen druid death knight.

The dialogue and quests that we play through are all presented and executed as being for and surrounding a single individual, for instance. Even if we're splitting hairs now, I'm still just voicing my arguments on the matter.

As the battle between the Gilneans and Scourge raged outside the wall, Arugal performed his summoning. He opened a rift connecting the physical world with the Emerald Dream, drawing the worgen into Silverpine Forest. The wolf-men wasted no time in turning their fury on the Scourge. They tore through the undead in a storm of fang and claw, and the creatures were even more powerful than Arugal had expected.

At first this plan worked, and the Scourge were forced to fall back. However, with the undead army in retreat, Alpha Prime and the summoned worgen turned on the Gilnean soldiers as well. After the retreat of the Scourge, Archmage Arugal betrayed his nation and swore loyalty to Alpha Prime and developed a loyalty to the worgen. Gilnean soldiers bitten by the worgen were taken inside the wall, and when they became worgen themselves, were hunted and killed, but could not be exterminated.[4] Alpha Prime was the master of the worgen in Silverpine forest, and held the maddened Arugal under his sway.[3]

Led by Alpha Prime, and aided by the Archmage Arugal, the worgen of Silverpine sieged the keep of the noble Baron Silverlaine. Situated above the tiny hamlet of Pyrewood, the keep quickly fell into shadow and ruin, now known as Shadowfang Keep. There, Alpha Prime and Arugal created the Wolf Cult to search for the missing Scythe of Elune.[9] The Wolf Cult recruited humans willing to become worgen.[9] The curse rapidly spread among the human population, transforming ordinary men and women into ravenous, feral creatures immune to undeath. Arugal also used his magic to curse the village people of Pyrewood to turn into worgen whenever the sun went down.[10] Those that followed Alpha Prime would become the Bloodfang Pack, those that served Arugal became the Shadowfang Pack, and those cursed to appear as worgen only at night became the Moonrage Pack.

"new player realms" are generally quieter realms with the exception of a few servers, although the only server limitations right now are in relation to guilds and cross realm mythic raiding. if you dont care about the server, you can reroll to a new realm. if you care about the server, in the next expansion (which should be later this year) guilds and mythic raiding will be immediately cross realm so there will be no more restrictions. just depends on if you care about your realm or not

Noob question. When I'm inspecting people with really good transmo, I often see source: "gladiator pvp (season something)". Same for my dragonflight mount, I'm using the winding slitherdrake and I see you can choose 2 transformations with the same source. I'm really in love with the "Obsidian gladiator" but it says I need to get "Gladiator pvp (season 2 dragonflight).

Unlike some other MMOs, WoW is designed so that you only need to play current patch content to be relevant in the current patch, so the game does its best to direct you to current patch content when it can. Since Embers of Nelthation isn't required for current patch 10.2.5 content, it's not exactly going to be featured. Still available to do, yes, but not required

When you're also coming in several seasons into a live service game's content it's also a good idea to look into what order that content came out so you don't get lost by any skips or catchup systems as well, since a lot of that old content is going to be given all at once instead of experiencing it over time as it was introduced naturally

But even the quest log, as you posted in your screenshot earlier, separates the campaigns so you know which one you're doing

That colored banner you mentioned is even in your screenshot above the quest Call of the Dream, because that's relating to current patch content

yes. and hes at dragon isles rn but when he made the evoker it started him at 58. hes quested and it took him from ogrimmar to dragon isle on the zeppelin and hes campaign quests in dragon isles are just different.

They change things/requirements with the latest patches, and character boosts also will change things so it’s difficult to pinpoint. Best guess is for him to do whatever quests are dropping big XP and follow the campaign so he can unlock portal to Orgrimmar from Valdrakken.

Normal realms experience map sharding for performance, moving players onto less populated shards for performance reasons. You'll need 424 ilvl before you can queue for individual raid wings of Amirdrassil in LFR. Your best way to get to that point is to get gear from the 10.2 Emerald Dream content and heroic dungeons. It also wouldn't hurt to level a few different classes to around level 20 to get a feel for the basics of how they play and experiment until you find the playstyle that feels best for you as a player. Everything is viable, basically, and the only wrong race/class/spec combination is the one you don't enjoy playing

However consider making a Death Knight, Demon Hunter, or Evoker after you've already played something else. These classes have unique starting zones and lack a proper starting/tutorial experience for the game itself

Collect mounts? All of them are at the same speed, without any quirks other than the visuals. Lower gear level? What for? Why continue to go to raids and dungeons in order to upgrade your gear?

I like the game, very much, but what should I do after the maximum level so that it doesn’t get boring, there is a goal and interest?

M+/PvP/Raiding are the 3 "true" endgame things in wow not to say they are the only things. pvp and M+ usually have a mount/title/portals/transmogs to collect each season. raiding is similar. there's also the pet battle system you can collect and train all types of battle pets if that interests you. you can do weekly quests to earn gold and stockpile that. it's really up to you. there's no short supply of things to do in WoW just if you want to do them really

You accidentally commited a bit of an oopsie by boosting, its a noob trap that leaves you quite flustered and overwhelmed. Experienced players will always warn against boosting a class you do not already know how to play.

Boosts are best used for alts on the opposite faction or for farming. Using one on a Class you don't already know how to play is just, well, you're here asking for help understanding your class ^^;

Anyone know a trick to getting Raszel in SoD to appear in Desolace?

The wowhead guide for the grimoire of synergy rune was so poorly written it neglected to tell me about a step 5: "there is a lv 40 elite dreadlord that has to be defeated first" and it killed me.

When I went back raszel was gone. I was told by blizz to abandon the quest and pick it up again but abandoning it didn't return the NPCs to their location at the altar in desolace so it looks like now unless someone knows a trick I will never be able to progress on this rune and follow up quest in season 3 thanks to this poorly done guide.

I PVP pet battle alot. Really love it.
I am always in the que, which sometimes can take up to 4 hours.
As such sometimes when the que pops I miss the ready check because I might be alt tabbed.

Is there a weak aura or something similar I can use that will allow a more alerting sound effect?
