Well, typically any quest that you are 10 levels over the maximum scaling for that zone won't appear unless you're tracking Trivial Quests, otherwise you should see them unless something else is hiding quest icons

Plan on pet battling? Rematch or PetTracker. Gonna have 15 alts? Altoholic. Transmog sound like fun? Better Wardrobe & Transmog and/or All the Things. Don't want to constantly stand in Bad™️ to where the healer is yelling at you? GTFO. Want to know the locations of rares, their spawn timers and what they drop? TomCat's Tours.

Timewalking is a way to earn some leveling gear, toys, mounts, rep tokens, etc based on which expansion is being walked. Just be sure to grab the quest "to complete 5 TW dungeons" before you queue!

I think what holden is asking about here is Chromie Time, which isn't for replaying campaigns--what Chromie Time does is let you choose an old expansion to scale its content 10-60 and queue for its dungeons for the purpose of leveling. That's it. The content is always in the game with or without Chromie Time

Playing Warrior, any mod or setting to help with the visual effect of 'sudden death' (attacks have a chance to make execute cost no rage)? It doesn't give any indication taht it's available, like the shaman instant cast lava burst thing does, for example

You can use Bartender to make a larger row for your main abilities and see when they're off cooldown, I used to do that.

Very useful for Sudden Death.

And it's just an UI addon that doesn't change much otherwise.

Those are Alliance NPC guards standing near an Alliance area. If you don't want to be killed, don't go near there

There are many areas like this throught the game world. Remember, for the majority of WoW's history, the Horde and Alliance have either been at war or under conflict. Areas where this story is still being told will experience the same ingame mechanics, flagging you for PvP if you're in another faction's area and causing you to be hostile towards their guards and NPCs

NPC guards hit like an absolute freight train covered in dynamite because players have a historical habit of killing opposite faction quest giving NPCs, or to attack players at quest hubs when they're far away from other people

Yes, it does. The Fall of the Lich King is merely the name of those events of the WotLK expansion. Chromie Time doesn't actually use the expansion names, which is understandably confusing if you're being literal

The safe rule of thumb is to just do everything you haven't done yet, but you can also use the attunement and achievement trackers on wowhead to figure out any prerequistes for campaigns

In many cases, some main campaign quests can also be locked behind the completion of side quest chains, so keep this in mind. WoW is not like FF where side quests are always purely optional

Yo yo I’m a new player levelling with a friend through TBC on retail. We reached about level 20 and came to the shattered halls dungeon but couldn’t get a group bcs it wasn’t on dungeon finder? My friend and I assumed we’d finally found the msq sort of quest that was going to push us out of hellfire peninsula (bcs tbh we just weren’t having all that much fun) but neither of us are strong enough to solo the dungeon. So essentially we just dipped out to WoD instead which so far has been much more streamlined. Really wanted to enjoy TBC but just not sure how to approach getting through it. Pls help if you can.

IIRC, Chromie Time limits you to just a few dungeons to speed leveling. Once you've outleveled Chromie Time (or fully maxed) you can come back and waltz thru it

The first few expansions of WoW were done in such a way that the main storyline...wasn't. You had to do everything in order to get all the pieces of a zone's story, as well as how it played into the overarching story. My suggestion is to grab the addon BtWQuests (plus the BC module for it) from Curseforge--it breaks down the major quests by zone/patch, really helpful

You're not getting "forced." The quests are still available, all Chromie Time does is scale them for leveling. Abandon the BFA quests (as long as you finished the intro if you started it) and then go do the expansion you chose in Chromie Time. You should have been given either a breadcrumb quest to start the content or to travel to that area

1: In-Game sounds will be super delayed
2: Things will stop loading, invisible barriers will be put up in the open world preventing me from going there (as you can see with the minimap for example)
3: People and NPC's will not load at all

pretty much every patch introduces a new catch up mechanic. in 10.1.7 it was the dreamsurge gear. just flying around the current dreamsurge zone collecting the green orbs and buying the 402 ilvl set with them. im sure with 10.2 there is a new catchup mechanic but i havent looked into that yet. you might find more info on that if you search for something like "Wow 10.2 catch up gear" tho

From Shattrath in Outland you take the portal back to Orgrimmar. You can talk to a guard from directions from there. There should also be a portal next to the Dark Portal in Hellfire Peninsula

LFR can be do by the LFR-automatic group finder tool

normal and heroic needs to be done manually but is flexible for groups from 10 to 25(not sure)

yeah to put it in basic terms you always will need an crest and flightstones to upgrade an item the crest just depends on the itmlvl of the item but that doesn't take into account the discount system in place too (if it's a lower itemlvl in the same slot it will not require crests to upgrade just flightstones and those will be discounted too)

At what point should I switch from my starting character to the advanced classes? I noticed that the evoker starts at level 58, should I level my original character up till that point first?

you can do as you wish. starting characters were at some point introduced to the game to give players a better idea of how the "endgame" looks like compared to the grind that previously was leveling a character. these days you can go from 0-70 in a few hours (if desired) or days, so the concept of starting characters is kind of outdated imo. if you enjoy the character you chose as starting character you can keep playing it forever and you can always create any other character of any class as you like. there is no level cap you should reach in order to play another character. hero classes like evoker, DK and DH start at a higher character level but that doesn't mean they are harder to play. especially with evoker you get a good introduction to the class in the first few quests of the storyline.

as you level and progress you just learn new character skills/spells/talents. you will start with a larger array of those on an evoker, but it's all explained ingame and you have a standard build assigned when you start, so no worrying about allocating talents that you don't know anything about or sth like that.
evoker is fun to play, just start it if you'd like to. you can always start a different char again whenever you want to.

hey im trying to unlock all the alied races and i accidentally abandoned the urgent care quest and now i cant get it back

You can get all of them no matter what you choose from the quest, but the only difference between them is the mount colour

Ok. So the quest shows you where you need to go(mechagon), to start quest chain. Go there and get the quest

Wrath is an old expansion and they brought it back so if you’re internested to play this version of the game then go for it but next year it will transition into cataclysm which is the next expansion. And yes the one that has no classic is the regular most up to date game which everyone is currently playing on twitch cos the raid just opened

Extremely rare and never more than a couple minutes max

yeah, it happens during launch, but only on like the first day during the first hours in my experience. there even was a log in queue this reset when the raid tier launched, but that was blizzard login queue, not gameserver queue. highly unlikely that queues will prevent you from playing, but there's always the possibility of them occuring when way more players then normal try to access the game.

Demon hunter is pretty cool so far. I'm just not sure if I coukd do dungeons or raids as a melee. I'm old and my reflexes are not like they used to be.

to recraft this, is it mandatory to have "enchanted wyrm's dreaming crest / enchanted aspect's dreaming crest"? is that what prevents me from clicking the recraft button?

oh nvm. by right clicking the old crest i could remove it and no craft the item without any crest. that's what i was looking for.

not very intuitive, wonder why there isn't a remove crest or "no crest" option when left clicking the crest and the dropdown opens

so if i ever get those crests, do i need another spark to recraft the item or just need to add the crest?
