That's how I read the last skill. You break an element for the buff, and while you have it, crafts using that element have higher skill applied.

Most world quests gain no credit if you're in a raid group, with the exception of world bosses. There should be a warning saying as much in the chat window when you join or create a raid group

While I'm unsure about the logistics of the roll, you should definitely report the group leader. That was a low move. If you explain the situation well when reporting, a GM may award you the item. Worth a try.

Yes but if they're asking about professions, then they probably lack the experience/gold to manage two crafting professions right off the bat. They'd most likely be better off with a crafting profession with the most things supplied to their class in addition to a gathering profession that supports it
While the gem slot bonus is nice, it's really only optimal for people playing at a level where they don't need to ask questions about professions

prot is 1 hander and shield and get used to popping the Free Word of Glory on proc and using the AOE stuff constantly
retri does small pulls but kills faster, prot is slower but can usually grab several mobs to grind down at one time
always quest/dungeon till you're at max level or at least at level 61
no point spending gold on AH just to yeet it for a quest reward five minutes later

You still have access to all 18 years of content before the current expansion, but yes, you always need to own the current expansion to play the current expansion

The Animal Companion talent pet is whatever pet is in the first slot (front page, top left) of your stable, accessible from any Stable Master. You have to move that pet to one of your active pet slots and summon it to be able to abandon it

Just go to Zandalar or Kul Tiras from the portal room in your capital city and find any available quests. Make sure you're also tracking Trivial Quests from the little binoculars button on the top right of the screen so you can see low level quests just in case

If you played before, you'd probably have some BFA quests already. You could go to BFA and see if your Scouting Map has a zone for you to open.

What's happening here is not a quest. You've chosen to "track" this recipe. It is simply a way to track the materials needed for this recipe, in the event you are collecting or buying them from the AH. You can untrack it from your Inscription pane or probably by right clicking on it from the tracking column you have pictured.

If transmogrification is of interest I'd say Blood Elf. The hunched over Trolls tend to look weird with most helmets, as the hunched back and tusks tend to make helmets clip or get stretched. Unless you play Female Troll, that is

Yes.
Once you've leveled one character on your account to L60, you'll unlock Chromie for any future characters level 10-59. Via Chromie, you can set various expansions as your current expansion which will scale the content to your character, allowing you to progress through the expansion and level through it. With the release of Dragonflight, Shadowlands was added to the list of available expansions at Chromie.

If you're doing them in order, the Cataclysm zones would technically be third

So you'd want to do the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor after Northrend, which is after Outland

There's more pickups than that. I think there's at least 6, plus a chance of a +3 (for gathering, for sure)
Plus the kill quest for crafting professions, and Work Order quest for some crafting professions.

Exile's Reach is faster and gives you a full set (minus boots) of greens with better stats than you'd normally get in your basic starting zone.
Also, the gnome starting area is mostly RP and less about teaching you game mechanics. It's one of the slower zones to level in.

There's an intended path, but it's easy to fall off of.
If you want to get to where you're supposed to be, you'll want to get back to Orgrimmar. There's a portal in Dalaran, or the zeppelin in Warsong Hold.

Nah, you can go for whatever you want, but if you're a gnome, you get a small skill bonuses to Engineer.
It's not going to make or break your character if you choose something different. Typically, you see people going for professions that make stuff for your class, or two gathering professions to sell on the AH.

No, you learn a different section of the ones you have.
So you've got Mining, so you can go to Kul Tiras and train Kul Tiran mining as a subset of it.
When you get to Dragonflight, you'll train Dragon Isles Mining to go WITH what you already know

if there are disadvantages to being locked out of the loot pool, farming for cobalt assembly rep raid size doesn't matter but if you are farming for loot drops you don't want to go above 5 (or ideally 2 separate groups of 4 since two groups can share loot that way)

When in doubt, pick Priest. They have two healing specializations.
Druids have a lot of healing over time, paladin healers are super fun, but hard to master.

You have to quest the first time around.
As for alt characters, they have pretty much everything open to them. You can do anything from dungeons to Cobalt Assembly, to regular questing, or even grinding world quests.
