when you say "everything", do you mean literally everything? the best thing IMO would be to look at each of the covenants transmog sets/mounts/pets, find the one you like best, and work on the campaign story and reknown until you unlock it all. theres a catchup to 60 item sold by the vendor behind the FP in oribos - then youll only need 20 more to get max. then move on to the next until youve done all 4. there's transmogs and pets in torghast, in treasure chests, etc.

beyond the transmog set you get from diong the story, there is also transmog sets you get from reknown and rep as well as buyable pets and mounts and transmogs so check the quartermasters for each cov, too

yeah, it takes a lot. 4 covenants 4 armor types. you've got to do all the storys and covenant special things 4 times over. that's not to mention all the anima you need to collect to unlock said things. it's a grind that's for sure

when you say "which wow" are you asking between classic and current/retail? IMO retail is more beginner-friendly, a lot of the changes made streamlined things and were overall quality of life improvements, IMo it does a better job of teaching you how to play the game. some people dont like the changes that were made, so its really a matter of preference i think

If you ever decide to play WC3 or are interested in the Lich king I'd say go for it

If you’re going to quest in said zones in retail for the story you literally get the same quests tho. I’m confused how you can tell me say HFP feels fuller in classic but there’s literally no difference between the two zones.

so i have a big problem. i wanna play all the expansions 1 by 1. that's why i have my level 49 warrior with xp lock. but you can't go into chromie time if you have the Shadowlands starting quest (or completed it), even if you are under level 50. so i always did abandon it and quickly activated chromie time before it reappears.
sadly that trick doesn't work anymore because since the pre-patch of Dragonflight, you get the quest too fast again. i would need to be inhumanly fast.

so that's why i'm looking for a macro to abandon a selected quest (or quest by ID). that i can open the chromie window to select the expansion with the first abandon, and then abandon it again to accept the chosen expansion. if i do it manually, it closes that window again so i can't get further than to that window.

btw yes in a week it will be possible again, until level 57, but the same problem will occur at 58 and 59.

I anyways don't get why chromie time can't just be activated until max level. idc if you get 0 xp from 50-60 (or 60-70 in dragonflight). it's just a pain you can't enjoy old expansions with a max level char... even if we have the system of scaling since years.. would be such an easy win -.-

I know for me I literally couldn't play the game without the UI replacement I use because Blizz even in the new "Full Customizable UI" still doesn't have options to increase font sizes etc or properly scale frames, and also like a lot of people I use a transmog addon to track a "wishlist" of items so that if it comes up in a quest or LFR etc I can grab it if on the right toon

asre addons worth it is a purely subjective thing, I know folk that literally use WoW and a headset and others like me that have fully customised UIs for visual clarity and everything in between

keep playing till something is driving you nuts, then go look up an addon specifically for it

not everyone needs or even wants things like replacement UIs or Transmog Wishlists, and if you don't play the AH then there's no point to things like Auctionator or Exchange

sure, but hiding errors is worse than trying to figure out what's broken (and try to update or disable) cause just cause you hide the error it doesn't mean stuff's not broken and you'll end up with things that won't work (as expected)

that's a generic blizz bork and variations of it have been happening since Vanilla with FrameXML, and usually either Bags or Merchant frame caused

get BugSack and Bugrabber and just ignore those types and worry about ones that name actual addons unless you're CTD after a looped frame break or similar

also I can pretty much guarantee you're using something well out of date if those are continually cropping up, as this is mine one I squelch taint messages

theres transmogs available in basically every content in the game, each raid has its own set, theres transmog pieces from quests throughout the game including in older content, theres peices that drop from dungeons, pvp, ones that are bought... if you press shift +p it opens the appearance tab, and you can look through the different slots and hover over each piece to see where it comes from. use wowhead to find specifics as far as where the quest/boss/etc is actually located.

yeah so like if you found a blade you like and it says quest reward or something, just search for the blade on wowhead and the page will tell you what quest, where it is, and the comments will usually have tips or info on completing it, especially if its a long/hard quest or something. some quests will have pre-requisites like completing other parts of the story first or being a certain level or having certain rep, wowhead will tell you all of that

Does anyone happen to know what Alani's behavior is like in the current version? I went back and finished obtaining a Sky Crystal just recently after having farmed most of the Skyshards prior to Shadowlands release, and was hoping to share its tag with a few friends so they could get her mount with me but I've seen inconsistent information elsewhere on whether or not she can give her mount to more than one person anymore, and was hoping to get up-to-date information before gathering my friends together to make an attempt.

Depends what your goal is, right now there’s not much point because not many people are likely buying crafted armor/pots/etc. if your goal is money making then probably not. If you want achievements or completion, sure. Also you only need to level the expansions you want, ie you don’t need to level classic alchemy if you just wanted shadowlands etc

Ok so in retail I mean, it’s 2 weeks away from a new expansion. Food and feasts give buffs that help but most people are max (and the ones they’re leveling can’t benefit), the raids and mythic+ pushes are basically over, sure people still buy but it’s not going to be a slam dunk in the bank if gold is your goal

I’m not sure if food is region wide now, I think it’s a commodity so it should be. But my stat food I buy for 3-7g a piece, so think about the time spent collecting mats and then crafting and leveling X how many people will realistically be purchasing

I’m not saying not to do it but just to set the expectation, we’re about done with SL content so it’s just gonna sit there IMO. I drop feasts on alts in their +3s because they’re so cheap lol

At the end of BFA the max level was 120. When the SL pre-patch rolled out the numbers were squished down, with 120 effectively becoming 50 and the cap for SL being 60. Dragonflight will be increasing the cap to 70

Leveling is now simplified and overhauled. Instead of leveling from expansion to expansion for a few levels at a time, you level by default from 1-10 in the new Exile's Reach starting tutorial zone or the racial starting zone of your choice, then from 10-50 in BFA and 50-60 in SL. After the 15th this is being changed to 10-60 in BFA, with 60-70 in DF

normal dungeons can be ran multiple times a day as long as you reset (right click your portrait when youre not in the dungeon and reset all instances). heroic dungeons can be ran once per day and mythic dungeons can be ran once per week.

Exalted Reputation, as in the top one and I think I have one character that actually has Exalted for Timeless... was years ago so can't actually remember

you have reputationlevels, you start at neutral with a faction, then friendly, honored, revered and highest is exalted

i think it starts with 3000 rep to friendly, 6k to honored, 12k to revered and 24k to exalted
