you dont need to do the dragon

just run RIGHT through that dragon. as long as the mobs surrounding it dont aggro you the gate behind it wont close so you can skip it

Hi! I hope I can seek advice from the experienced players here.

I played Mists of Pandaria to lvl 62 or so when it came out. Haven't touched WoW since. I started a new character in WotLK Classic a few days ago (lvl 22 now) and keep dying during solo-leveling, which is very frustrating
and I can't find dungeon groups at low lvl which also sucks big time.

I really like the storytelling of WoW so my goal is to eventually do all the raids and all the dungeons. I don't really care if I play them solo or in a group but I'd like not to oneshot the bosses. I want at least a mild challenge.
I also really like transmogs, so I'd like to farm for those eventually.
I have like a 10 hours each week to play the game.

My questions are:
What version of the game should I install?
What kind of server should I join?
How should I go about leveling?
What's the best way to achieve my goals?

• Install Retail (Shadowlands 9.2.7) as it has the most content and all 18 years of QoL updates including an overhauled new/returning player starting tutorial experience and leveling system.
• Answered in the channel pins.
• In retail, level by default 1-10 in the Exile's Reach starting tutorial zone, 10-50 in Battle for Azeroth content by default (Zandalar or Kul Tiras), and 50-60 in Shadowlands. Once you're leveled and caught up to current patch content, you're more free and prepared to go back and play old content in order to your heart's desire without feeling like you're falling behind

That's Daisy. It was a promotional pet you could get a while back just by logging in, with a unique /beckon mechanic that would place her on your back.

Not sure you can get her anymore, I'll have to check back with you.

Oh, and she doesn't have a blood esthetic.

There are still pets with unique mechanics tied to them. Like using /sit while targeting your cat pet. Or /whistle with your Crackers rogue pet.

next up if that's helping would be look at something like the Razer Tartarus, or if you don't need that many keys after all then possibly even something like a PS4 controller ( or preferred console pad for comfort ) as iirc the FFXIV layout on it allows something like 32 between L2/R2 modifying and R1 to page next before you get to even weirder combos

oh, and the reason I mention the FF14 specifically is it gets round the lack of a keyboard for console players by basically binding abilities to "button + modifier" the same way that afaik there are various apps like reWASD to allow you to do the same on PC so you could have your pew pew on basic presses, pet commands on d-pad, interrupts on L1+press for example on hunter as it literally tells the PC to treat each button or combo as a specific keypress or mouseclick

ah, I just mentioned PC because I run console/PC myself. depending on whether you're on iirc ventura 11.2 Big Sur or better afaik you can already pair the console controller via bluetooth and then I'm pretty sure there a few decent mapping apps available.

also the tartarus unless something changed is usable on the mac too, but until they get synapse 2 or 3 compatibility you'll lose the additional joystick on it as it's currently WinOS only

I've played with both damaged hand and then recently a crushed wrist that got pinned, and our old guild had a healer that was partial sighted and another that had only basic movement and single finger "clench". there's quite a few things out there for both platforms now, especially if you can learn to use a pad or even a keyboard spread for whatever binds you need

it's more going to be just finding what's gonna work for you best, Bartender or ElvUI does however seem like a good idea no matter what to allow you to track CDs better even if nothing else.

here's an idea what you can do with it, I'm a clicker thanks to said gubbed wrist/hand so I use multiple bars and you can have multiple CDs running with no issue

right... getting wiped again thanks to bloody covid.

You can play the auction house

You can farm old raids for decent gold and chance at mounts, farm materials and sell em, play professions on a couple characters yk little stuff like that.

You should have a character for strictly gathering, one with skinning and LW, then you can fill out what you want and always have materials in the long run.

It just depends on how much time you wanna spend grinding vs gearing.

i try and grind as much as i can, i mean not religiously but yk, got a main skinning LW hunter, got a druid for gathering (mining/herb) got a rogue for alchemy, just not sure what stuff i could farm for in older raids to sell like that, moost of the stuff i get is soulbound or cannot auction. still somewhat new to AH selling

It’s not soulbound stuff that matter unless you run it in an enchanter and disenchant stuff for materials as well, however it’s the BoE’s I strongly suggest downloading TSM and the add on for it I use that and it’s great, some BoE’s sell for a great amount depending their rarity, farm the raids you need mounts for, yah know. Get engineering make mounts sell em, might take a minute to get it fully maxed but once you do you can make good money just follow and vibe with the auction house and you’ll be good. Farm rare pets that sell for a good amount. I know there’s a website that shows the top pet list sold on the ah for specific servers and factions just don’t remember it.

If you mouse over them and read the tooltip, it will say specifically what boss/encounter the piece has a chance to drop from. If you want more specific information you can look up the outfit or that piece on wowhead.com to see if there are, if any, other sources

"Trial of the Crusader" is a raid from Icecrown in Northrend, and can be ran once per week per character. That is a leather set, meaning that you can only learn the appearances on a character that wears leather. If any of the pieces are restricted to druids only, only a druid can learn the appearance

@pallid fulcrum it's better than the old days where unless it was GM intervention level needed the turnaround was 5 to 14 days

also if you're using email to chat to them then simplest way is

1 : copy photograph from camera/phone to pc desktop, making sure as they said it clearly shows the card and also the game time code so it can be checked against fake/already redeemed codes. if it turns out to be fake or already redeemed then this is a totally different matter and you're gonna need to take it up with the card vendor
2 : reply to the CS email and look for the button in your email client that says "attach file". click that, select photo from desktop,, and then confirm if needed the upload and then wait for it to upload as an attachment before sending. most clients will show this as a filename and a green tick in a section called "attached files"

after that, same deal... wait for it to get to top of the queue again and actioned. good news is once it's in the "reply/action" side vs the "not assigned yet" side it's faster queues

the easiest way I guess would be to just google 'mouseover macro wow', there is a few ways you can go about it, with either the respective cast already in the macro or just the macro itself etc.

however there is also an implemented mouseover function (I don't remember if its in retail but it felt new to me in Dragonflight on the Beta). So you don't need macros in the future, you can just turn on that function and then click/press any ability you want while hovering over a friendly target with your mouse (like party frames etc.).

If you open your adventure journal, shift J on default if I recall correctly, at the tab that says loot I think? It will show your powers, aka your legendaries, and you can also see your tier set and its bonuses

I need to jump a long distance, uphill. It's at the very limit of what is possible. I've checked that my latency is very low (~60ms), so that's not the problem. There's a video on youtube of another dwarf merrily hopping up the same distance, so I know it's possible. And in an hour or two of trying, I did manage one time to make the jump...but then screwed up the second jump. There's some combination of starting point and the timing of the initial forward movement followed by the jump...and I just can't get it.

You can get that model as a mount its just not from a drop but a crafting profession so Check your auction house
