For me, I’m kind of talking about the difference in how if I play my prot Paladin I can do anything, just slowly, but if I play mage at all I’m spending most of my time as a ghost looking for my corpse. That’s what I mean when I say “easy” I guess, lol. The two pet classes have always been some of the easiest for for obvious reasons and then yeah, most tanks. Over the past 18ish years, though, I’ve definitely found some of the classes that I’ve had the most fun playing to be the most difficult to get through leveling content solo

You have to go to a repair vendor. Your cursor will become an anvil when mousing over them. You can track repair vendors on your minimap and always have their nameplates active ingame by going to the 🔍 button on your minimap and selecting Repair under the Townsfolk section

im no expert in gold making but i would think that trying to make some gold with professions right at the end of an expansion without prior knowledge and right before a major profession revamp isnt the best idea. But the gold token price (fuck tokens btw, even worse than boosts) is at a record high last i checked a few weeks ago so it MIGHT be a good idea to cash them out, stash that gold in the bank until Dragonflight launches and then invest the gold into the revamped profession mechanics

It's not that big of a difference. I'd recommend playing whichever one you want to enjoy while leveling 10-50. The content will always be there without Chromie Time

I mean, that's hard to tell. It really depends on how many people in your region are also queuing for that content's dungeons. That number can change throughout the day

You'll find groups, but queue times may be longer, but that's fine because dungeons aren't efficient for leveling anyway unless you're speed leveling with a tank and healer and know every route and mechanic

So I have played wow before and I enjoyed it but it always annoyed me that I couldnt get some older things because they were no longer in the game and that demotivated me from playing at all. I never really thought of playing classic wow because I heard it was very unfriendly towards solo players and much more of a grind. Retail is definitly easier to get into. Define "massive amount of communication". if you know what you are doing, gather information beforehand etc you can get through heroic raids without ever joining a discord or something

Fun is heavily subjective. In retail all race, class, and spec combinations are viable for all forms of content

You should experiment with each class up to around level 20-35, then decide what you'd like to focus on and invest the most time into as your main. Leveling in retail is MUCH faster and more convenient than in Classic, so leveling isn't a big deal at all

Every spec is capable of high damage if you're good at it, and what's fun is different from player to player

While cross-faction endgame instances are a thing now, you'll still prefer to have a realm that has more of your preferred faction for guilds and communities--or closely balanced enough if you play both

Then again, you being admittedly asocial and uninterested in the social aspects of the game, faction pop won't really matter

no on the board you usually go to grab a breadcrumb quest that sends you on your way if you have no clue where to go. that are not neccessarily scenarios that could be random zones it sends you to. The herald itself should hand you the intro questline which sends you on your way into bfa iirc

You're a frost mage, so CC is one of your strongest things. Slows etc. You also have decent range as a mage, so make sure you have plenty of room. Don't go immediately into a space where you're surrounded if you can start combat from further away

As a mage you're able to summon food, so take time to eat some of your summoned food after combat if you do end up taking hits

#

It's really a matter of practice, not over-pulling, making sure you have room to kite, you're polymorphing and freezing enemies while picking them off 1 by 1, etc

If you're looking at them while leveling, classes aren't really tuned for balance during the leveling process. It evens out when at max level and geared. Different classes also have different types of damage profiles--some do more in bursts, others are consistent over time, others ramp up with damage over time abilities, etc

I got a pretty weird question. I got 170 euros bnet balance which I wanna spend on WoW. I got like 20k gold atm and want to finally have some gold. Would it be smarter to get the heroic edition and 5 wow tokens, or the epic edition and 4 wow tokens. The extras are just cosmetics and a boost/some gametime so you have to decide for yourself if you want those but they are afterall just cosmetics. the boost is irrelevant since leveling is pretty fast and you could get far more gametime by just getting the base edition and pumping the rest of the balance into gametime directly GWcmeisterPeepoShrug im also not up to date on the current state of gold farming but i guess it would be easy to get some gold with professions early on in dragonflight. has been this way pretty much every expansion launch

not sure about that since the profession system gets a little rework and i havent read up on it. Usually Flasks and Enchants have been in high demand and maybe crafted gear for alts and stuff but i never did any gear crafting. im just farming herbs and depending on whats more profitable sell those to alchemists or craft the flasks and pots myself

my biggest piece of advice is target the in game achievements (zookeeper, defeating grandmaster trainers) for the most fun

and of course with collecting i'd focus on a few pets at a time!

For just starting out, focus on getting level 60 on one character. Go as slow as you'd like. I know its generic but spend time doing what you think is interesting in the game, don't fall into people telling you to rush great gear and raid and all that.

If i were just starting out, I'd level to 60 at my own pace, then look at going to Zereth Mortis for some easy gear. You get a bunch from the quests there. Then I'd want to do fun content, which for me is achievements (hotkey Y). I've never really raided, but I've always focused on achievements. I'd set mini goals to do one zones quests for that day to get the achievement, run old raids to get an achievement, etc. You get a good grasp of the game, story and have fun while doing that.

Theres an overarching story, but it's not really needed to understand whats currently happening, in my opinion. I don't personally follow lore that much, just play the game to do the collecting things!

Not really. Since cross-faction dungeons, raids, and pvp have been introduced more people are playing the faction they prefer and still doing content with their preferred groups--which of course was the whole intent. I've seen plenty of people on both faction chat channels mentioning how they've recently swapped factions just because of it

But anywho--Just level 10-50 in BFA content. Leveling is faster and easier than its ever been in the game before, and you'll want to do that content anyways on a character to get more progress to unlocking more allied races and other content at some point

Im seeing this on Google that doesnt make any sense. "If you have one character who has reached Renown 80, you can have that character purchase the account-bound Broker Mark of Distinction from Au'Dara, located near the Flight Master in Oribos. This will give an automatic boost to Renown 40 to any character on your account." Why would I get to 80 to buy something to get to 40?
