I've been playing warrior with my warlock friend, and for some reason, his void just won't hold aggro whenever we get into a fight. He has the void attack the target first, but the second either one of us auto-attack, the target stops attacking the void and focuses us. Is this supposed to happen?

The voidwalker needs to use its aggro ability
make sure it's set to automatically use it (right click the icon on pet bar)
Just like hunter pets have Growl, voidwalker should have an aggro-generating ability

It’s two different experiences. Current retail has more comforts. You should try it and see if it’s something you would like. Since I started there and grew and matured in BC, I love it. Can’t wait for BC. I prefer the talent system in the first three versions vs whatever they turned it into in cata. Yet I also like to spend some time in retail one one of my dozen mounts doing quests for amounts of gold you can’t fathom in classic. Try it you might like it.

Most games then could be called shit just because tech has gotten better. But then it boils down to personal preference.
I think a lot of older games are better because they were finished games and didn't need a hundred patches to make it playable.
Wow classic has its place and it isn't meant for everyone, no reason to trash talk it.

I am a warlock level 23. I have a question regarding profession.
I've chosen to go with Tailoring and herbalism.
I thought that Tailoring would be great in order to sell bags and also craft some good robe later on, and Herbalism would be a great choice by just selling the herbs in the Auction House.
Do you think i made a mistake and i should just go with the classic duo Herbalism + Alchemy ?
At this stage of the game, i dont really know what makes sense and how to make money. I'm not an hardcore gamer, far from, but with only 5 Gold in my pocket i feel kinda...poor lol.

Tailoring isn't the most profitable profession, but it is very useful for warlocks/priests/mages since you can make gear for yourself (and bags) as well as soul bags for warlocks

Herbs can sell pretty decently, and you can always trade em to a alchemist so they can make a potion you need (like elixir of shadow power)

I'm looking for some tips in pvp here, as a lvl 25 warrior. Today I fought a druid and what happened was he immediately destealthed to attack me. What am I supposed to do? I used hamstring and he just somehow got rid of it, ran away, and came back again and killed me. Same issue fighting rogues, they seem to just come out of nowhere, I get them low, and they simply run away and dispel hamstring or something like that. I feel pretty useless as warrior because I have no cc other than hamstring and I can't hit anything far away because I use a sword. Any help?
I also don't pvp much, which is why I'm not that great at it

I've only been playing WoW since very late Cata/early MoP and even I wanted to check out Classic.
I will be honest and admit it wasn't for me, but I still find it incredibly interesting and tend to like nostalgic content even if I wasn't necessarily there to have that nostalgia be worth anything.
But I definitely agree that Classic isn't something new players should be getting into... unless they truly desire to and perhaps always wanted to play WoW when it first released but simply never got around to doing so.
Of course, it isn't the same, but it is as close as one can get.

https://classic.wowhead.com/guides/dungeon-quests-classic-wow works pretty well, it tells what levels are recommended for doing a dungeon and tells you where and how to get the dungeon quests.
As for how, you gotta find a group for the dungeon you need/are looking for and then need to head to said dungeon. You can find groups via a guild, looking for group channels and probably more

If you Shift+click a quest in your Quest Log (L), it will track it on-screen for you. There is a limit to the number of quests you can track on-screen, I think.

Hi! I'm getting an unexplained difference in calculated spell crit between expected/done by hand and Wowhead's gear planner's calculation. Details to follow.

wowhead predicts a destruction spell critrate of 24.24%
the math i was using was 5% base, 4.58% from int, 5% from talents, 13% from gear for a total of 27.58%
the difference between predicted and wowhead's calculation is 3.34%
and i can't for the life of me account for where that difference came from

from the assumptions i hold to be correct, the only possible area of variation is intelligence derived crit, of which 1.8% is derived from base int and 2.78% is derived from bonus int, the subtraction of neither of which explains the 3.34% difference between predictions
assuming the calculation is calculating the applied critrate against a boss level enemy and a 7% hit rate, the 27.58% critrate reduced by 10% would be 24.822%, which is still off by .58%. grasping at straws here though

If you want a character that's ahead of the release, start now, you'll have the option to keep them on their current server and that will change into the TBC (If I understand them correctly), otherwise your Classic character joins onto a 'classic era' server.
Otherwise, you can start fresh from 1 on the TBC server and level up normally. There will likely be class changes or maybe you want to play draenei or blood elf.
