Other than that nitpick, the statement that the "Horde hit first" is incorrect, for now at least. We just know that Teldrassil happened before Undercity, not really what happened before Teldrassil, specially when the novel preview hints at Stormwind being the first target. Just a couple notes.

It is a ZAM product still. But that site is defunct and uses an obsolete interface that is no longer maintained beyond the EQ version.
It's not a bad idea or anything, but we're more likely to embrace a more familiar name like thottbot or classic.wowhead.com than the allakazam site.

Trackers are necessary for analytics and so the ad networks know an ad has been seen and we can be paid. It's not possible presently for pages displaying ads to utilize HTTPS. Premium users don't see ads though so they are able to benefit from HTTPS on all pages while logged in.

Ok, just glad Brave will upgrade those to https for me.
Also Brave pays users for showing their ads, and in turn users can give that money to companies once a month. Meaning if you set up with Brave you'll be able to allow users that don't want Google ads to do that. The issue is that for some reason Brave ads don't work, so you guys aren't receiving the benefit. @teal dragon

It appears that adblock has updated something and it's overzealously removing CSS elements which leads to the bad display and/or longer load times. While it's not something Wowhead caused, we're seeing if we can counteract this to help with community perceptions.

The night of November 9th, a third-party ad blocking group was trying to target certain elements on the page that are used when loading the site. When those elements were removed, the layout exploded. I'm trying to get my titles to work on the wowhead profiler, but when I use Blizzard update it misses several post-draenor titles and when I use Wowhead Client update it simply clears my Titles tab instead of putting in any titles. Is there a way to fix this?

Alright, I'm getting closer. The changedetection.com website would not do the trick because it checks visually. Word on the internet is that the same company has a Chrome and Firefox extention that does the same thing, but without the cost. Except that the dolts apparently took Regex matching out of the browser extension and just do visual checks now.
I found another similar extension called Distill Web Monitor which might do the trick...
I think this Distill is gonna do what I wanted... Give me email alerts anytime a matching World Quest shows up in the Wowhead page, checking every 3 hours

I think the article is fine, I interpreted it the opposite way as that we will have gear that matches and reflects a zone, but will not necessarily be a different look for each class
and the traditional 2/4/8 piece sets are no longer a thing set-bonus wise

@tawny blade honestly that sounds horrid so they are going to make a uniform armor for each type and take away the bonuses for sets.. then why even still have transmogs. It's like the artifact weapons. They create this cool thing then remove everything else, legion would have been the best expac for some badass looking weapon cosmetics, but because of the artifacts I'm stuck with the weapons from the previous games for one of the base artifact skins, or I grind for one of the alternate skins
The idea of taking away unique and varied armor styles (not just one per zone) is terrible

The wording doesn't indicate if the thematic sets will be class based or just armor based. They could save a lot of work if they'd just do 4 visual sets or even 8 if they decide that factions should have different sets.
Maybe that isn't even decided yet, just that there will be no tier set bonuses in b4a. Might get some dungeon 2p sets like arc/cos again.

unrelated, but for shoulder items the preview should really show both shoulderpads as there are several asymmetric ones in the game now (where typically the left shoulder is the less fancy one, but that's the one shown in the preview)

Don't know about the shoulders but the preview images cannot be changed, we had to pick a single race/gender for those model preview images, it's alreasdy resource intensive to have the single version . Having more, or all of them, isn't feasible. However it's just a preview, open up the item page of one you're interested in, View in 3D, change race/ gender all you like. :)

Anyone using Adblockers, make sure you DO NOT block wow.zamimg.com or ajax.googleapis.com, the zamimg one causes the sites css and js to break, most likely due to this being the server the files are hosted from, and the second being google's api service which I'm fairly certain is built into the header and text of the site, but all others CAN be blocked without breaking it, it'll just look a little weird.

@plucky fractal since ads, for better or worse, are how Wowhead (and most other sites) keeps the site running, discussing how to block them on the official Discord server would be a bit insulting to me at least if I was running the site. If you are having problems with a specific ad (eg. autoplaying sound) I'm sure they would love a report so it can be tracked down and removed from the networks. Alternatively you can always get a Wowhead premium subscription and completely remove ads from the site and support it at the same time.

Yes the npc models are specifically fairly low reaz as they needed and needed to be able to support high desnity in suramar

It's not really about the resolution but the models themselves, they're just very different. But yeah they needed a way to give the Alliance the blood elf model/skeleton, and Horde got the night elf counterpart.

About the new build article @tawny blade there seems to be something wrong with the mount descriptions before/afters, they are the same, while I remember for example the 'old' description for the Nightborne mount being something along the lines of how all elves liked cats and Nightborne are no different

You can try backing up + deleting all of the +wowhead_looter files in your WTF folder, if it was data in there that was causing the crash. I had a period of about 2 weeks though where mine was doing essentially the same thing (crashing as soon as it tried to load the main interface). It fixed itself for me though π

Unfortunately that error is from Windows, not the client itself, so very difficult to help with it or track it down. If I ran into it myself I'd delete it entirely and try again. I'd make sure I'm running it as administrator. If that failed I'd be out of ideas. :(

I figured it out. When I import my character, the model is white. If I remove the gear, the model is fixed. I couldn't get any individual gear pieces to fix it, so maybe it's a general problem with importing characters to the dressing room?

Something seems to be screwy with the Suggested Content module of the Planner. My profile is recently synced, and achievement progress is displaying correctly, but the SC scrolls seemingly endlessly through unapplicable content (such as out of rotation PVP brawls and old questlines) and is showing the Moonkin Festival as being currently available.

If you have the initial battle chest you'll have the whole game except for Legion (that needs to be bought in addition to the base game) - you will also need to activate your battle chest in your Battle.net account
