Also I think it would've been nice to precise in the datamining article that the "captured titan" model was a healed Ra-den's. And that watcher/keeper models nearly always have "titan" in their name. Lots of useless speculation has been going on about that "mysterious titan" or whatever.

If you can find an APK of the android app, you can usually open it with Winrar or 7Zip and extract files from it. Although whether or not the assets are further encrypted, obfuscated, or compressed beyond that depends on the app devs

i'd recommend picking up an android emulator, installing the app on that, then file exploring your way through that. Managed to dig up locations of save files for some apps and the like that way since the viewer is a lot better.

I just mainly want the assets from the WoW mobile app because the textures are nice and high quality buttons. They're technically giant buttons and paper textures for 1080p screens.

Yeah sorry about that. Unfortunately we're not sure why they have an issue with our SSL Certificates; we've emailed but haven't had much of a response. Hopefully they'll fix it eventually. In the meantime I'm trying to see if there's anyway of posting a notice to those who experience the issue so they'll know the issue without having to wander around asking; evidently there's not an easy way of doing that so ideally BitDefender would just fix it and we wouldn't need to invest time in that.

Site seems to load nonstop and crashes out other programs - mainly wow :L
Even when I turn on an adblocker it keeps loading them continually and I can't even use wowhead atm. It's getting worse over time :/

@plucky fractal I'm sorry about that. Whenever you experience a slow down, click 'Feedback' and 'Bad Advertisement' and just type "page lag" in the reason box. Then, do a refresh of the page, this often will clear any lag on a page. If you're going to sit on a single page for awhile, it may be prudent to just reload every once in awhile or click that tiny little gray vertical bar on the top right hand edge of the site, it will close out all the ads on the page until you navigate away or reload (this is the most powerful thing you can do when sitting on a page for an extended period of time). We're always trying to combat ads that disrupt the page and recently removed our StanzaCal tool from all pages so it doesn't potentially exacerbate the problem.

There's two ways to interpret that, decline as in not even being able to submit, and decline as in not being accepted by the Staff.

It seems it's the first, in which case it's not a bug, we simply have a size restriction for images.

#

You'll need to resize them if you wish to upload them.

In regards to the question about adding a circle to the image, we generally don't accept screenshots like that. I've looked at the quest in question and see no need for it in this situation as the screenshots present seem obvious enough.

Is there any way to send all (pinned) character profiles to update at once? I have 12 alliance and 8 horde characters and checking up on for instance Meatball quest progress requires updating all 13 110s and it takes a lot of dedicated time doing them one at the time. Would be nice to send a batch job, even if it gets into a queue for later perusal rather than immediate.

I've sent emails, I've encouraged users to send emails... they're pretty poor when it comes to responding. When testing it because of this issue I kind of liked it, but then it kept removing the Wowhead Client for no reason, even when I whitelisted it. And it took 14+ days for them to answer my support inquiry. I had already uninstalled at 5 days.

Yeah.. I changed it a couple of times last night to try and fix that. I see it fine on my phone/PC but my tablet it was just the gray icon. I haven't checked again yet though.

I always recommend troubleshooting by disabling them all and seeing if that fixes it, then reenabling until you find one that may be causing it. Assuming you've done the usual, closing/restarting the browser etc already.

Database question: what is the highest sound ID? Manually loading sound= pages, I found 85185, but sometimes blizzard deletes sounds before they even make it to anyone that can datamine, so there could be a large gap between that sound and the next one. This is for a random sound generator I have.

I don't know much about the FF/Discord integration but I think that was part of a specific arrangement that had benefits agreed upon by both parties. Currently for Wowhead, adding the search functionality into discord would be a large traffic/revenue hit

Hey all seem to be having an issue with wowhead redirections from warcraftlogs

I've been through absolutely everything to try resolve the issue but nothing has seemed to have worked. The issue is the tooltips when mousing over the talents/trinkets section are not appearing and I'm receiving the following message in a popup bubble similar to the wowhead one. The message reads "no response from server :("

Clicking on the icons so I can be redirected to wowhead doesn't work either unless I remove the https://

@plucky fractal Make sure you've closed WoW then go to your World of Warcraft folder on your PC, open the WTF folder, open Account folder, open the folder with the appropriate account name, open SavedVariables, and delete the following two files:

+Wowhead_Looter.lua
+Wowhead_Looter.lua.bak

Open WoW, login to the game, load a chracter, then close WoW. Try to upload again and it should work at that time. Sorry for the trouble!

If you can email feedback@wowhead.com we can determine if it's realted to wow eden or a bad ad affecting mobile users in a specific geographic region

If you google for something that's Wowhead, and the link takes you to a random place, it may be related to WoW Eden. If you are on wowhead's homepage, and clicking on a link takes you to an ad, then it's a bad ad we can try to gather data on and report to our providers

There's an issue we're still trying to pin down where some users are not seeing the additional information. it's tricky because when we run the steps, the correct info shows up. It's something we're looking at, but may take time to fully troubleshoot

We seem to be having a lot of popup/redirect type ads with iphone/safari this past week. We've been trying to narrow it down but still evidently more work to do. The easiest thing for you to do right now is use a different browser like Chrome or FF, at least until we can find the ad campaign that's responsible and get it removed completely. I apologize that it would even be necessary for you to do that but it's the best option right now, outside of a Premium subscription. If you could visit http://mb.zam.com/mb/History and send feedback@brisk parcelhead.com the contents of that page it may help us narrow it down further. Please do so from the same device/browser you encountered the ad on. Thank you for any data you can send over, it really helps.

Btw I have a little question. Regarding bonuses, IDs like 3336 or 3337 gets ignored and cause other bonuses to get ignored aswell. Not sure why. I get these bonuses using simc addon

Delete the +Wowhead_Looter.lua (and +Wowhead_Looter.lua.bak) file in your World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<Account Name>/SavedVariables folder. Then, go relaunch World of Warcraft. Give it a minute, close it and try the upload again.

@tawny blade re: JSON feed - the reason I asked about this is the way edited posts come across in a feed reader, i.e., an edited post comes across as a separate article. This happens a lot in the wowhead news feed. I thought I had read that a JSON feed would resolve this, but I'm not sure.

We'd like users to have the opportunity to discover something new or unexpected while they're also checking in on the 'Today in...' section. Having it on a single page wouldn't make that very likely and may discourage additional use of the site beyond a single page.

it may also be caused by using multiple/conflicting adblockers or other addons at once, that only create bugs when used in specific pairings. best advice is to try disabling them one by one and then reloading the page

Thanks. I believed I remembered that it used to be named Eye of Tal Rasha but couldn't find anything about this but what that person said in the comment section. The spell proc page you've linked however confirms the effect was first called Tal Rasha Passive!

we are running A/B testing on wowhead and other sites to see if different ad configurations help. it's complicated running a large site that has major traffic/different ad networks around the world (eg russia is a lot of our traffic)
