undead? sure the fine print indicates it, even if the actual at a glance design of the card is very much against other undead cards (which tend to be colder colours, and there's no other undead dwarves)

but fine undead dwarf refining corpses? fits the theme of the mechanic

the pirate thing is tacked on though, the only connection it has to pirates mechanically is that it has gold attached to it. But other factions have passing gold mechanics as well, any some neutral units as well

to me it's just obvious that the card wasn't meant to be either pirate and/or undead, but because they were pushing dual typing in the update it came out in, as well as introducing undead (they also changed the key art of another card to make it not look undead so they could keep it as just a pirate), also how people had troubles identifiying it as a pirate. To me it just seems like either a design failure, or something that had to be quickly rekitted to fit into a niche the designers pivoted to from the original direction

of course it makes it okay because it's not an edition of the game it's a collector's box of the IP. also if we look at the store listings in Bnet you notice all the actual editions of the game come with the game. there were two ways they could have sold this collector's box the way they did (which is the good way) or they could have sold it with a game included and jacked up the price 70$ more thus making it more expensive AND forcing people who want the collector's stuff to repurchase (or purchase ANOTHER copy of the game for a system they may or may not need). since D4 is cross play having just the collector's items as a solo price is the correct way to do it thus letting everyone who want's it and doesn't play on PC to get the collector's stuff and purchase the game for their own system. it might not be what you agree with but it logically makes the most sense as to why they did what they did.
