You know studio is generating in 5.0 right . And I’ve always generated in small increments on studio man and make sure your stretching the use as Context window if you’re not moving that it is not gonna come out right sometimes it’ll do it by default but most of the time it doesn’t if your you hard at work

Guys I use cover all day long works fine. I use all the features that you guys are saying isn’t working fine for me and it’s not like we have different things so there’s a lot of things we can be doing wrong like even myself I could not figure out when the new update happened why things were just not that couldn’t line anything up and for some reason tracks that are at 140 BPM show up at 70 in studio so once I figured that out, I was able to get it to work. There’s a lot of things that are bugs and there’s a lot of things that are just. We’re not paying attention. i’ve included two pictures one of mine actually showing you some tracks that are brought in and some that are generated all of them working fine together for me, but the other picture is the context window if you see where I clicked the little bar in the middle of everything and then the two bars on the outside for the context window you shouldn’t try to generate anything more than that if you’re trying to generate a whole track and it’s in there you’re not gonna get the right thing. Also if you try to generate at the wrong bpm it’s not matching it will come out as a whole track but smaller because it’s at a different speed than everything else

I’m gonna go over all the bugs I see and I’ll post it in Chat for the team to go over but a lot of these what I’m reading is stuff that’s working fine for me . now do I have glitches yeah all the time but for the most part I can fix those.

It could be Internet speed. Also I would try always. If you’re having an issue doesn’t matter what it is clear out your cookies and your stored website data that usually helps a lot.

It's not my internet speed. Gigabit. Everything else is working fine. I can make whole song just fine, but in studio I can't generate string parts or edit clips. It seems the partial generations aren't working.

OK so I might be wrong, but it looks like you’re trying to edit the new version down below. You have to actually make that the main track and then edit it.

It looks like you have both lanes highlighted

So that bottom track, in that is labeled new track in blue, is just a generation added as a layered tracks that is specifically strings. When it generates from a prompt, it creates two tracks, and you pick, hence the two highlighted lanes.

In the past I've had no issue just making a string arrangement, or a guitar solo for example. Tonight is the first time I've had any issues

Yeah, but then it will go up to the top lane not the two new lanes at the bottom so you don’t need to ever try to edit those ones at the bottom

And then all the way to the right it says no clippers selected that would be true because it’s not on the main side of your actual composition so it’s saying that over in the right hand corner. Let me know that you’re not highlighting in the right place you gotta pick the track the clip that you want to edit.

But in my experience, it’s always had to be from the main lane. You know what I mean not from the bottom one cause those are just options at this point they’re not actually a part of your song.

Never mind it’s gonna have nothing to do with your system. I just meant That isn’t so I know if you have to right click on a Mac and left click on it or vice versa.

Anyways, so before you click generate or create highlight from the front of your track, like drag your mouse all the way to the back of your track and then try to generate and see if that helps

It should already give you an option to set your equalizer and yours doesn’t show that

They can still reject or remove tracks if they believe the AI use is too heavy or the quality is too low.

Hey, appreciate your input. I’d honestly love to be using v5 like before. Everything I’m saying comes from how Suno Studio worked right after it switched to the 5.0 engine

Unfortunately they removed my access to 5.0. I’ve mentioned this a bunch of times already, both in support emails and here. Support told me they’re gradually phasing users off the older version. If needed I can share screenshots of the emails, but it’s just a standard AI agent reply

If you’ve got any examples of Suno Studio working properly on 5.5, I’d really appreciate it if you could share. Right now I still can’t get consistent results like before, ever since April 1st

Just to explain what I mean. Before, I could generate instruments separately, solo instruments, rhythm parts, all that. Yeah it was a bit random sometimes, but you could get there. And the biggest thing for me. I could generate backing vocals and lead vocals separately across the full song from start to finish, with a proper tempo. I always set the tempo in the project anyway, even though before it wasn’t that critical

Right now it mostly just generates a full track instead of separate stems like it used to

Generations on version 5.0 just time out after a while and the credits get refunded. 5.5 works fine though. And on the left side in the library they disappear after the error as well. Yeah I get what you're saying, but I'm burning a lot of credits just testing things. Honestly I'd be happy if I was just wrong about this, but from what I can see I'm not the only one dealing with it right now. I'd be totally fine getting similar quality results through a different workflow, but so far I haven't found anything that really works for me.

Don't use v5.5 as it doesn't know how to tell drums to **** off
and don't use cover, as I have not had it once work properly when doing what you're trying to do, Just drag highlight the stem, and try replacing.
Also you may have better luck just asking it to create a new stem all together instead of tryna just replace one, again, don't use V5.5 because it's addiction to drums.

Prepare to wanna take your PC and toss it into the nearest body of water and flip tables getting Studio to listen to the simplest of requests.

Honestly until it's more stable with single instrument generations it's not really worth it to sub to premiere for it alone. If you already need the additional credits than by all means but subbing to the $30 a month plan for Studio in the current shape it's in is only gonna frustrate you. If you do simpler genres maybe it will work slightly better for you, but if you mess with anything heavier like metal and it's various subgenres, than I'll go ahead and reserve you a seat at my Studio is broken, bi weekly ted talk / b****ing session. 🤣

Also I just realized there's a normalize audio API flag for generations in Studio but no setting or UI element to actually use it 😫. Or at least I haven't seen one

I've experienced that. Are you talking about when you export in logic pro the long version occurs maybe part of the song is now longer. If you can check the length of the file exported from studio I might be able to troubleshoot with you.

That is the way SUNO works, overcompressing the sound like an mp3 file. If you listen closely you'll notice that the overcompressing is there from the beginning.

Is the drums track an upload? Doesn't look like a stem. Or is it even a drum track. STUDIO rename tracks based on any new instrument we use for the new cover.

The blue Instrumental looks even because the steam has been moved-up on the track. At the end of the Blue track Instrumental is what's left from the original Instrumental track.

• First, a cover of the main track just gave me two same length covers.
• A single cover of the guitar stem, mostly a full track, gave me a near full one and a short version.

• And the cover of the Bass stem, I was thinking it would be shorter, actually did nothing for versions 1 thru4 but give me , pretty much the OG track in full. Coming the OG track and cover Bass again, I got say. Ver 5 and 6 of the OG track.

So , that's inconclusive of anything, but to say "always a shorter cover" is not consistently true.

so i did a cover in studio on my own drum stem and when i waited for it to fully load before i did anything. when it fully loaded my screen looked like this (the version 2 Frums on track 6) with a shorter looking waveform. I played the preview of the shorter looking waveform version (not placed on timeline, just playing preview) and listened to it until it reached the "cut off" of the wave form where it stopped. (to be cont'd)

After this i tried to place the version 2 on the timeline and the rest of the waveform magically appeared.

undoing this shows where it looks now like the waveforms are the same length.
(so there is som buggy behavior going on here)

v5.5 is disastorous in Studio. It's nearly non-functional. It will not follow prompts (always adding other instruments/vocals) so creating tracks/stems is impossible whether you are covering or replacing (which sometimes just creates a whole other unrelated song). v5 works better but sounds worse. Suno really needs to get a handle on this. Nothing more frustrating than creating a song (based on audio I uplaoded), getting stems, and being absolutely stuck without being able to move forward.

And when I used Create instead of Studio, and covered the bass stem as "tubular bells" , i got an output much longer than the original and it actually at least has a bell vibe to it -- of course with addit instrumentation. But interestingly, followed along pretty decent to the guitar stem when played together.

So again, nothing conclusive. Covers make long or short or exactly the same versions or length , so far. But I do prefer to still use Create and just drag them files back into Studio. Just my preference.

From there, I find myself doing some heavy duty splicing often. Or i get lucky and things sync up.

Im still testing things to figure out what the intent is or just limitations of 1.2 version of Studio. I feel its become more about creating tracks that re-creating them. But honestly, still have NOT tested enough to be able to repeat things with much control.

How do you guys get Studio edits to fit in the existing song? I'm trying replace section and the replacements sound really good, and while the beginning of the clip blends seemlessly with the song preceeding it, the end of the clip doesn't blend with the remainder of the song at all. Am I doing something wrong?

For example. The original section contains no vocals. Suno is adding vocals which is fine but when it reaches the rest of the unmodified song it's completely out of sync. The vocals are saying Absalom, and the un modified section also says Absalom, but when the replace section meets the unmodified section it's saying Absalom, then the unmodified section says Absalom and it comes out like AbsalAbsalom, the instruments also cut in very ubruptly and don't blend.

I've never successfully been able to replace section with Studio in all the time I've used Suno and always have to resort to returning to the song editor (pro) to do it. I must be doing something wrong or missing something.

This clip has an example of what I'm talking about, you can't tell where replace section begins because it's seamless, but at 44 seconds you can definitely hear when it ends.

It’s because your song is already on distributor platforms. Suno doesn’t allow them for legal reasons. The only way I know of is to unpublished your track from all distribution and wait for a few days for detection to update.

Sorry for your issue. This has seemed to go in and out of producing the outputs for a few folks. Its good to let them know it's still ongoing for a few, still.

In this screengrab it shows "no input" selected and the track is not "armed". There are other things in web browser settings to make sure can record audio, but if we assume those settings are good for now then we need to select an input from the drop-down menu and then arm the track by clicking the grey circle next to the drop-down menu to turn the dot red. Now that track is armed and has the input selected, now you should be able to hit record at the bottom of the screen (next to the playback controls) and start recording.
If not then we need to check the browser settings.

i think he means to duplicate the section you want to replace first, this way when you regenerate the section it will look and see the old version and make it closer to it.

Hit the 3 dots on the track in the left hand side, and select "Duplicate track". You will end up with two layers that both have your song. Now, attempt attempt replacing your section again on one of them.

I really wanted to stem my song yesterday to get rid of that weird whooshing sound at 49 seconds, but it added vocal artifacts every 50th and every 20th second of each minute in the song after stemming it. It was weird how uniform and patterned the glitches where. I managed to "tame" the swish enough using clips from remastered versions.

Honestly stemming out songs are so unreliable and something that will never ultimately be "good" just due to the very nature of having to work backwards from a pre-mixed track, and it probably doesn't help much that even if you take a v5 or 5.5 song and stem it out inside Suno, the calls go directly to 4.5 to do the stemming, now you can always take a stem and remaster it or what not and it will use v5 or 5.5 for it then if you choose.

I usually end up remastering after stemming. I often have to stem too, because the synth track is so often absolutely unforgivable 😂

I was one of those users, and no it still isn't resolved... it seems to be an issue with Chrome when using an external Soundcard (mine is UAD)... the dropdown doesn't populate to select an audio input, even though permissions are correct and all input channels are recognised by Chrome.
It only seems to affect Studio... I have reported it here a few times (and to support )

Here is a step-by-step guide to get your audio input working again.
Check Chrome Site Permissions
Chrome might be blocking Suno from accessing your microphone by default.
• Click the View site information icon (usually a tune or lock symbol) on the far left side of your Chrome address bar while you have Suno open.
• Look for the Microphone setting in the drop-down menu.
• Make sure the toggle is switched to Allow.
• After changing this, do a hard refresh of the page by pressing Ctrl + F5 so the new permissions take effect.
Verify Windows Privacy Settings
Sometimes Windows itself acts as a roadblock, preventing desktop apps like Chrome from tapping into your recording devices.
• Press the Windows Key + I to open your system Settings.
• Navigate to Privacy & security, then scroll down to the Microphone section.
• Ensure the main Microphone access switch is toggled On.
• Scroll further down and double-check that Let desktop apps access your microphone is also toggled On.

• Try opening Suno Studio in an Incognito window by pressing Ctrl + Shift + N. If the microphone magically works there, one of your browser extensions is blocking the input.
• Try temporarily disabling any ad blockers or script blockers for Suno.com.
• If that does not work, clear your cache. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete, select just Cached images and files, and hit Clear data.
Check for App Conflicts
If you have a Digital Audio Workstation (like FL Studio or Ableton) or voice apps like Discord and Teams running in the background, they might have exclusive control over your microphone.
• Completely close any other applications that utilize audio inputs.
• To prevent this from happening in the future, open your Windows Sound settings, scroll down to More sound settings, right-click your active microphone, and select Properties. Under the Advanced tab, uncheck the box that says Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.

Hey there! Okay, glad we clarified you are on macOS Sequoia! If you've already verified that your Mac's main System Settings are allowing Chrome to use the mic, then the Apple firewall isn't the problem.
The block is happening entirely inside Chrome's internal site permissions for Suno. Since "Create" and "Studio" run on different internal web scripts, Chrome sometimes glitches and blocks one while allowing the other. Let's force Chrome to reset Suno's permissions:
Step 1: The Site-Specific Override

1. Open Chrome and go to the exact Suno Studio page where the mic is failing.
2. Look up at the address bar at the very top. Right next to the "https://" part of the web address, click the little Settings Icon (it usually looks like two tiny slider switches or a lock).
3. In that drop-down menu, find Microphone. Change it from "Ask" or "Block" to Allow.
   Step 2: Check Chrome's Brain
   If you have an external monitor, an interface, or headphones plugged in, Chrome might be trying to pull audio from the wrong source.
4. Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner of Chrome and select Settings.
5. On the left sidebar, click Privacy and security, then click Site settings.
6. Scroll down to Microphone.
7. Look at the drop-down menu at the very top. Make absolutely sure your actual microphone (or MacBook Pro Microphone) is selected as the default, and not a random input.
   Step 3: The Hard Reset
   If both of those are already correct, Chrome has a corrupted cookie for Suno's Studio tab. While on the Suno page, hit Command + Shift + R on your keyboard. This forces Chrome to dump the cache for that specific page and reload everything from scratch.
   Let me know if forcing those internal Chrome settings wakes it up!

This is something that the Suno Team is aware of. It has been reported many times both here and in back channels. We have no idea when it may be fixed, but we have been told they are aware and looking into it.

In the mean time the work around is to split them again to get the instrument you want.

Assuming that its not "broken" , Studio 1.2 focuses Replace/Cover tools is for re-immersing any part or segment made from the original , back into the original as an edit. Not as a new creation. Thats been my understanding from my tests.

So we can segment a 20 second piece of a song. Use Replace/Cover tools to ooze a guitar into a more of a piano sound , and find something that works and patch it in. [ Same as we could always do in Edit UI]

Or.... we may extract out the whole piano/keyboard track ( Suno calls stemming) and Replace/Cover the piano to be a Banjo instead. SUNO will use the stem, change out the piano to a banjo element but re-immerse the rest of the song again back into the result -- from what i see, the , for the focus of editing and blending back into the the original song.

So... what about just cloning an instrument for another? That seems to be achievable, but only indirectly. Once we get that re-immersed banjo track and song elements, we must re-extract, again, out the banjo "stem" of that. An extra step.

Note: As the "banjo" or "piano" track never existed in the first place, its a challenge to always get it to sound like a solo without artifacts -- with any program/app , as well are all familiar with. I have stemmed it three times, or taken it to an outside extractor, or save a stem, run it through remaster to help separate the frequencies better to then re"stem" again. This is no different from.using other AI stems extractor out there.

So....given that perspective that Studio 1.2 is NOT geared towards creating clones from one extracted sound [stem] to another and its focus is for re-immersing such instrumentation to blend back into the original track, then these steps will make more sense.

The songs DNA , basically, structure, melody, arrangement , is still baked into every stem and so now is geared towards re-creating that, even from a single-instrument stem, when we Replace/Cover from one sound to another.

Isnt this a much simpler situation than you describe above? ... it is in my use case...
Add new track
Select a range (verse and chorus for example)
use bottom box to select instrument...guitar for example
Expand the dialog box.. Add any prompt ...funk , single note etc
Hit CREATE

Expected result (as it was when launched - 2 versions of a SOLO guitar (no other instruments)
Actual result.... guitar mixed with other instruments which gets worse the longer the selection is...

Pretty much 100% of the time for me ...it certainly didnt act like this before 5.5
Even trying 5.0 isnt much better if any decent length of the song is selected

In January, a Suno Studio 1.1.0 Beta vid was put out introducing Cover option. This noted that we could take a segment of a stem, choose cover rather than replace , change the instrument and we get a cloned instrument AND the songs elements added back in. This was with ver 5.0 model.

In February, Suno changed to Studio 1.2, still in 5.0 model but integrated the Replace option to be more like the Cover option. The only difference being that Replace (as the info buttons say) considers the overall vibe of the song [even from a stem] to integrate back into the song of the song, but not the melody and arrangement. And the Cover will consider ALL elements.

After Studio went to 1.2 , everyone noticed , including myself, that that meant there was not one-step, cloning of one instrument to another [im avoiding talking about voice cloning as thats a bit different concept.] That was mid- February. So any "issues" of trying to change a stem piano into a solo guitar was already noticed in February with 5.0.

Late March (26th) they introduced 5.5. Nothing changed for Studio 1.2. Its my proposal that there is no difference between 5.0 and 5.5 regarding non-"cloning " once Studio went to 1.2 and focused on the idea of integrating song edits back into the song, and less focus on cloning stems.

Again, my tests, my opinion. And all publicly available

I see the advantages of both ways.
• STUDIO 1.2 has more options but costs more credits to use all options. We might see re-stemming a stem as a borked workaround than a optimal procedure.
• STUDIO 1.1 could clone a bit better, but wasn't good at the total integration thing when trying to combine stems back into a song, they would phase shift and often cancel-out and get muddied. But , I guess, less credits involved -- regarding the cloned bits.

There's many prestedigitations we use in Suno to get a wanted result. I think its part of Suno trying to be everything to everyone. We mash up two songs and add a +Voice, or we Sample, then regenerate, then use that and create a+Voice, then throw into Studio and add Foley effects.

So stemming to output created when we replace a stem (or stemming-a-stem basically) is now a three step and what, 20 or 30 credits (?), instead of 10 credits in the multi-step process.

Yes, you're right. It can cost more on this end, and if we want nicer blends to go back into the original with Studio 1.2 without cleaning up sounds from sounding phase shifted like we had in Studio 1.1 , it can now cost less credits. Things always seem to be a tradeoff as we get more complex and demanding with our.songs. While the monthly bill stays the same, for many of us, it may be that we have to spend more and buy extra credits to keep the momentum going.

Yes, something to control compression if possible with AI, or to sound more dry or wide or even distorted or overproduced. These are really still controlled more in prompting , so its a matter of Suno deciding if they want to just have their own DAW to go with their Generative AI workstation, or keep things focused on the "fun" of creating by prompting as still the top priority.

Personally, for the moment, I still just farm out some Studio tracks to the Create panel in order to have more control of things like the sliders and exclude feature as well as adding in a +Voice or sample to get something more precise, then dragging that back into my Studio project, than to try doing it all in Studio.

You might find some things interesting to add to your skills.

Hey everyone! I've been recently experimenting with the program and it's made some great songs so far.

I have a question about the program generating it's own vocals; I've been trying out prompts with J-Rock, and it creates Japanese vocals, but it doesn't provide any form of transcription for the lyrics for me to check over. It's just blank.

So, the styles I used to generate the examples I really like was:

“anthemic J-rock, emotional male vocals, driving drums, uplifting chorus, bittersweet harmonies, anime opening energy, melodic alt-rock guitars, youthful perseverance themes”

I attempted to use Cockatoo to transcribe the audio and it got a decent chunk of it, but attempting to listen to the song while following that transcription there are parts missing.

I've only been using Suno for a couple months, so I'm not sure if it should be generating it's own lyrics or not.

You and I have had discussions previously about its ability to blend. Thats still a good and arguable point. I dont get consistent results trying to use Studio alone.

The question was asked specific to just cloning one instrument for another without additional instrumentation showing back up. And others keep saying Studio is broken in that regard. I gave my explanation specific to the cloning question to say, its not longer focused on cloning as those few weeks in January had done.

So setting that aside. I tested last Saturday for four hours on the ability to integrate a replacement/Cover of a segment back into the whole song. This based on our conversation of the same.

I could not find one good conclusive means of getting a consistent result in Studio 1.2, as I recall. That would coincide with your point about it not working well.

Granted the most consistent means I have had has always to be to use Edit UI and replace whatever I want. If it means stemming first then using Edit UI, then thats the route. I hardly use Studio for that still.

What's not acceptable to the average user is to "jump through hoops" as you noted last week. So even if we find a workaround, to get the right result is not as important as getting it in one or two steps and not 5 steps. I, again, agree.

So Im saying it can be done. But caveat that it often takes more steps than wanted, clever manipulation and a bit of a learning curve and patience, not to mention using more credits than expected. Add in a bit of skill at splicing now and then.-- remastering does much of the load there, often.

If those are incorporated into defining "broke", then you're absolutely right. 😁

When we select a part, a segment, and replace, Suno reads about 3 seconds to the left and right of that segment so it can analyze what would work well for a blend.

So, a splice as you mentioned doesnt do that on its own.

Just trying to use Studio:

• We have to trick it, by different options. One is to splice at the aurally best spot possible, somewhere where it sounds good, and hope it works. That might be enough (or with a remaster after that).

• or... we do the above in Studio, , then come back and choose the smallest segment possible to straddle where you spliced it. , I think three seconds worth, choose Cover, in Studio, and again, hope suno will blend about 3 seconds left and right of that segment.

Run either one through a Subtle or Normal Remaster to smooth out further any clicks made at the splice points.

Being able to go back to any state of the project is pretty nice imo. Not sure what scenario makes it cumbersome for you. It should never be overwriting any saved state. They are all shown with timestamps to find our place.
Click the ... By the title project name and choose Versions to find that if you're trying to go back to any place you were.
None of the saves are permanently overwriting a previous state in this way. They are all their own saved state.

Keep in mind that it is "version" saving, not file saving. And the most recent stage of the project will linger, even if you go out or log off. But there is no complete file of your work unless you export something.

reduce volume + 6 db and master at max volume controling transient peaks and then reduce via eq and gain adjustments level the song and then reduce back to 0 db volume using any mastering tool aim for 14lufs

That's what I was thinking. Then I downloaded the track and reuploaded it to Suno and it actually transcribed most of the lyrics and they seem fine. I guessing there is enough in the pool of published content for it to sample and generate on it's own.

I'll keep the other channel in mind if I have further questions, but I'll work on creating my own lyrics and translating them if I want to keep going with the J-Rock genre.

Hello. Today, for the first time, Suno surprised😂 The Russian lyrics of the song were sung in Ukrainian 🤣 I think the mistake was due to the large volume of styles. I specifically decided to test how Suno would cope. I think that the algorithm saw the style inherent in Ukrainian singers and therefore made a mistake with language recognition:

​Style: Trip-hop, Dark Industrial Pop, Mid-tempo, Cinematic.
Vocal: Female, breathy, haunting, expressive, switching from cold detachment to emotional intensity.
Instruments: Deep sub-bass, gritty distorted synthesizers, slow crunchy breakbeat, vinyl crackle, echoing piano notes.
Atmosphere: Dystopian, tense, claustrophobic, paranoid, hypnotic.
Production: High-quality studio recording, heavy use of delay and reverb on word repetitions (echo effect), glitchy transitions, panoramic soundstage.
Structure: Use the repetitive syllables (smi-smi, chas-chas) as rhythmic sound design elements that fade into the background.

Mixing languages is not uncommon, such as between Ukraine and Russian, Hindi and Urdu, Brazilian and Portugal Portuguese, Mandarin and Cantonese. Maybe others , of course.

And Suno may hallucinate a fake style language of a certain language style but meaningless gibberish.

Looks like you just joined Discord so i dont know how much you've worked with the tools in Suno, but you can test with Remaster to see how well it can help blend splice points , to start.

From there,

• drag in your four songs or how many ,
• cut and splice down to fit your 15 seconds.
• cross fade between each
• split the last motif and move half to front position
• re-splice a good point between the new first-half and second motif
-- or...create a small segment between the two and "replace" to let Suno blend instead.

When done run one or two Remasters to help blend.

Thats a guess of what I would try.

If more than three in a row, it may be best to report the problem and wait it out a hour to see if it still repeats, then report that as well and wait until Monday for devs to look into it further. Hello. New arrival with a few questions. Depending on the answers, I may invest beyond the free version. The free impressed the hell out of me today but a couple features I could really use are in the pro only.

So

1. As long as a song is mine, not copyrighted, can I upload it and Suno can either copy it 100% verbatim (instruments, vocals) for editing, or no?
2. How to change the delivery of a lyric - I have a line that ends with "baby" but it's whispered, and I want it to be sung normally with the same vocal range as the rest of the line.
3. How clean is the sound/vocals when editing single words or lines?

You didn't say what "trouble" you were having exactly.

1 - yes, with Suno Studio plan you can do this
2 - You can change the directive prompt of what you ask to Suno do, but, again, we're working with AI so....probably you will need to do essay and error until you got what you want
3 - depends of the generation, model and prompts you are using, but usually over v.5 sounds neat and pretty good

Id like to say that we can expect as low as a 15% chance of getting exactly what we want. Which means , at times we can be 100% successful.

1. For such a specific question, there is a specific answer. No.
   Suno is a Generative AI and so all outputs will have variations. To get verbatim may be impossible. To get the lyrics exact, quite probable.

2. the tool called Cover can do that easily. As per answer #1, Suno would provide a variation and likely sing the last word "Baby" anyway.

3. I think that iss unanswerable as for "clean" . Most everything depends on how you prompt for the song to sound. For instance, if you prompt for it to sound like a 1930s vintage flapper girl vocal, you may get the crackle and pop sounds of an old Victrola. A 70s folk song may sound quite the analogies reel to reel recorded quality of an worm paneled studio. It all depends on what Suno trained on.

You asked if it can get something verbatim. I know you meant "sound as close possible, but with the intended enhancements" such as pitch correction. But truely, it might switch a synth for strings, and electric guitar for an acoustic. Tom's for snares. It doesnt guarantee verbatim for instruments, but I think you'll be quite pleased.

Get familiar with the sliders. Those will decide what and how your Cover is going to sound or emulate what you've uploaded. Start with them in default where they are.... then adjust Audio for less or more of the audio sound you uploaded, and Styles for the strength of influence any prompts or lyrics might have on the song.

This has been done in the past simply using Create.

• Cover your song in Create.
• Often you can leave the Sliders at their default settings
• Remove any lyrics / styles box blank.
• optional to put [instrumental] in the lyrics box
• Click Create.

Sound good? Drag back into Studio and record vocals.

That may be all you need. If any vocals come through, slide the Audio slider down to about 20% and try again.

As for Studio, you can try the same by clicking the track header, choose "Song" in the Replace Bar below and keep on Cover. Type [Instrumental] in the lyrics box. Click advance to locate and just to check on the sliders. Strip out any lyrics. Styles box blank or add " piano." Click Cover.

There's not a way to dub a vocal, live, over an instrumental with Pro.

You can do that just as easily with outside tools, Audacity, for instance.

Have you learned to use the +Voice tool to have a little fun with using your vocals, but a bit enhanced or pretty organic (if you slide Audio slider towards 100%).

Your question was about making an instrumental from a song with vocals , so that can be done with Create. No Studio needed.

Watch this older video on Personas (now called +Voices) to understand the concept, then use +Voices to try it out yourself. This is not a Studio focused tool but csn be better accessed within the Suno tools like Create, or directly from the +Voices tab in the Library upper menu bar.

If two or more cant get an expected result, then it might be considered a possible glitch at the moment. Sometimes just waiting an hour can help resolve things.

Not generating any instrument at all is odd. So, I guess you mean its not showing visually?

But not having a visualization of the wave form to emerge after a couple of minutes has been occuring for a few users. Viewing the outputs in your workpace files (to the left) as they are created can help. Refreshing the list often shows the outputs in the workspace and triggers the waveforms to show in the sequencer.

I'm new to the group here so forgive me if this has been addressed. When I separate the stems, the first version of Studio did a great job of allow you to redo each stem in isolation. It was wonderful for redoing weaker parts and cleaning up the stem noise. Maybe I'm doing it wrong and that's why I'm asking. With the newer version, I can't seem to get the stem to reproduce the specified instrument, instead it creates everything? Is this a me thing or is this a known issue?

It's a known issue that's gotten way worse underneath v5.5
Use v5 for now, or if you really wanna use v5.5 and have the credits to burn my advice is no negative prompts, and when picking your style tags for that particular stem, avoid any and all words you believe the model could even remotely associate with a full band or other instruments, So if its a guitar stem you want (and your base stem is actually clean of percussion or other instruments) you might try something like Style Prompt: unaccompanied, Guitar_Stem, Guitar_Only, Solo, Single
Settings:
Weirdness 0%
Style Influence 10%
Audio Influence 95%
but the 95 on audio is ONLY gonna apply if whatever stem your redoing is CLLLLEAANNN of percussion and other instruments, If it's not than start adjusting the opposite way, so bump style up by like 5 or 10% only (not alot, because again, we're trying to avoid it from wandering off and adding things you dont want) and lower audio drastically (otherwise its gonna pick up on percussion or whatever else is in your stem and wanna add it to the regenerated one)

for example. using those settings I was able to get v5.5 to actually create a damn nice guitar stem, but those only really worked probably because the base stem that was used was clean of everything other than guitar and was the only active track on the timeline.

basically if you believe whatever you're asking it could be interpreted as anything other than exactly what you want avoid prompting it or choose other terms.

If you have a moderately newer PC you should use Ultimate Vocal Remover UVR for splitting your stems, Even if you dont have a computer with a gpu, it will split using just your cpu, might take about 30 times longer, but honestly for the quality its worth the wait even if you gotta.

Not initially in the creation. But if you're using Studio, you can juggle using the BPM tool for the track , once done.

There are speed and transpose tools in the track info panel on the right as well which could be used to adjust things.

Or within the outputs menu , choose "Adjust Speed" and "keep pitch" and change speed a bit there.

Suno, in a first creation, typically doesn't follow a BPM prompt. Its follows more a suggestion of speed such as " allegro" or "slow" or ..... well... a general genre term , such as "rock" to guess about 120 bpm.

The ideal way, and staying within Studio is to add a blank track and choose from the list: Vocals (which there we'd add lyrics) and Drums and run a Replace/Cover (i think both are options on a blank track)

A bit more creative would be to record ourselves do-do-da -ing (or scatting them) or tapping for drums, as accurately ourselves on a blank track and then replace that melody or tapping with the real sounds.

Okay...when I upload audio tracks directly into Suno Studio, it plays them at a different tempo. I literally took one track from one iteration of the same song and uploaded it into a very slightly different edit of the same track on Suno (so exact same tempo) and it's still playing it at a much slower tempo, physically slowing down the recording. And I don't know why.

Certainly, Suno itself creates inspiration and instant gratification. So thats worth the $10 Pro subscription.

As for Studio: It is a sequencer and editor, helping to stack a number of tracks together. So, it can be about the convenience of doing many steps in one place or spending more time using just Suno and outside sources to attempt the same. The latter doesnt cost any more or less than what youre doing now if you already use a DAW, but a lot more time. And less means of making on-the-spot adjustments, perhaps.

And of course, many DAW users like to add Studio as a supplemental or doing most of the heavy work before doing some extra presets and mastering in their DAW themselves.

If I have four tracks in my studio project: drums, bass, guitar and synth (all of them 100% purely the given instrument). When I select the synth track and demand a cover, then my expection is an alternative version of my uploaded synth track. If this track consists of a chord sequence without a melody then I expect a similar sequence, but I do NOT expect an over-the-top synth riff.

Check with an AI LLM or browser search for top distributors, then start diving in deep for info on each. Spend time with reading each distributors Terms of Service. Learn about the music business from the bottom up. Even YouTube can offer ideas that are better understood in a video than a wall of text here by one of us.

2. We could put the chorus at the very top, without marking it [ chorus], to see if it starts it like a verse and sings solo. Then cut , duplicate, and paste in all the chorus spots.

3. we could make a +Voice file of a song where we have cut out all parts and leave only a solo singing voice.
   • then cover our song, adding the +Voice file to try to force a vibe of ONLY a single singing voice.

4. we.could focus on making the song from adding an extension just before the chorus part. Once we manipulate prompts or do the above tries on that specific extension and get a solo chorus, then we duplicate that good solo chorus and splice it into all the chorus spots for the rest of the song.

I mean that I have saved a choir as a voice profile and want the song to be sung with this same chorus only. But I always get either a slight mix added or just a new voice inbetween parts where my profile chorus actually sings. -.-

On average, or in general, when adding a +Voice to a hmmm... creation, then Audio slider at about 25% will emit the vocal qualities, at about 50% should start infusing the melody and instrumentation of the +Voice, and as we get closer to 85% , we get much influence of vocal, melody, instruments, progression and arrangement of the +Voice we are attaching. So if we're trying to get vocal character AND a melody to sneak in, that's tough, but we can try about 50-55% and see what it does.

This graph gives a general idea of how the Audio slider influences what we get from the +Voice file, notwithstanding other factors such as prompts and any additional audio we may be covering.

I find its very different in its influence if using 5.5 .... 5.0 seemed to really tolerate "extremes" , 5.5 less so

Just experience based and focused on the discussion of adding a Persona to a Cover or original creation. Mostly related to the "slight mix" referenced as being a problem.

No model version implied, suggested or recommended. YMMV

As with any Cover, prompts and any slight variation in sliders can create a different vibe. For instance, it may be revealed later that a use has been cranking the Audio slider to 100%. As you know, this could throw a wrench into any theory or graph.

For straight creates though, this chart is a good reference to simply understand , from my experience, the concept of now much the Audio slider can affect the +Voice persona to eek and ooze through.

I never make official how-to statements, though I may make videos that one can watch and make their own conclusion as to its efficacy.

Seriously though, Weirdness controls more of how varies the arrangement and instrumentation.

All sliders though, could be consider that default position is more about the best tweaked position for that model we choose to use. Change the model, we can assume the default is changed for that model.

So sliding right will vary things like frequency range, how far off an instrument goes from being a guitar to turning into a violin or synth, jumping one step from rock genre to big hair or further to operatic wails and glissandos -- or moving left to being less optimal and having less variety, or less melodic motifs, or having a closed monophonic sound or less separation of instruments , perhaps.

I've uploaded an instrumental from my producer in Studio. I added a new vocals track and paired it with lyrics, but it's not giving me the option to add my own voice, is that not a feature yet in studio? I want a solo vocal track with no instrumental that sounds like me.

Specifically, there is no place to attach or run a +Voice alongside a Vocal Replace/Cover in Studio.

Studio only uses 5.5 or 5.0 also , so no chance to add "Custom Model" within Studio within the Replace/Cover bar.

But..... No one says you cant Save that paired vocal track and open in Create and run your cover there , add/swap your Voice and drag back into Studio.

Cant vouch for tempo and timing. The more variables added, there may be changes which are needed to work through.

Hey! I have two questions about the Voices feature in v5.5:

1. How do I delete a Voice? In the Voices dialog I only see a heart icon and a link icon next to each Voice — no delete or remove option anywhere.

2. Is it possible to save an AI-generated voice from a song in my library as a reusable Voice profile — without using my own real voice? In the old Personas system this seemed to work, but I can't find a way to do it in v5.5.

If you go into your library, there is a menu with a "Voices" heading, you can delete from there. Yes you can create a "voice" from a track using an ai singer.

Option 2) Otherwise: The same can be done by clicking +Voices in the Create panel and choosing a file.

Click the head of the main track, look right to the clip info and change tempo to Original instead of On Beat. See if that helps. Its likely one way or the other.

Problem is...guitar just stops entirely during multiple sections of the song, which wasn't the case in the original audio. Is there a way to get Studio to remake the original guitar from my mp3 recording (I no longer have the master audio for just the guitar) without just dropping the guitar entirely? I've been trying to get Studio to make new guitar tracks, but they are completely unrelated to the original recording.

I covered it already and split the stems. There were several sections where the cover just didn't generate a guitar at all.

I think slider settings were 50/50/50. The recording isn't crystal, but it can definitely pick out the guitar. I extracted the stems from the original recording, and it did a good job of isolating the guitar.

I tried remixing just the guitar stem in Studio, but that generates a full song, which I don't want. So I'm just going to have to go in I guess and make a whole bunch of covers until I get one that has the guitar properly mixed.

Because there doesn't seem to be a way to get Studio to do what I want it to do, sadly.

Nope, Suno does not drill down into specific parts of say, a drum track. The best you will get is a drum track and maybe a percussion track, but nothing more specific like hats, toms, snare, ect. You would need to use specialized processes outside Suno to get more specific separations.

If you trashcan your song, you can enter the trashcan and send it back to your library. Hit the little can icon in teh upper right of the UI, then scroll to the song and send it back.
IF you actually "deleted" it from there, then you are out of luck, that is permanent.

At this point, this clearly appears to be a bug or a false positive in your upload detection system linked either to my account or your servers.

Creating a segment of a song in Legacy Edit UI is one quick way.

Are you wanting to have two segments left and remove all the rest?

....and you want how to do that specifically in Studio? Thats fine too, but usually then the segments stay in the position where they were originally positioned unless we move them about or drag to another track position.

What's your final goal with the segments and we can give better steps or make a video.

If you use outputs menu to go to/open Studio, we should now get this pop up to immediate create stems if you wish. Remember, multiple stem extraction are 50 credits each time.

With skill, yes. But Suno doesnt do that on its on as a tool, toggle or button.

Obviously we can pick a point in something repetitive, split in the middle of it somewhere and drag the second half to the beginning of your track(s).

Ahhh... sorry. We add a small blank select section between what we moved to the front and the beginning oglf the piec, if the bits dont match closely , and fill in with a "Replacement". Similar process as if using a DAW, where we either start the piece with a repetitive bit, or fill-in the small gap with a bridging fill.

Often, we may use Remaster if any small clicks or slight off-beat, but the Replacement blending should do that on its own.

So we have 1-2-3-a-b-c
We splice and have c-1-2-3-a-b-
Add a small segment "s" and click Replacement (blending c and 1 together) for cs1-2-3-a-b-

Also if "c" and "1" are pretty close, just a Remaster could blend them.

I recorded my own vocals for a bass instrument using strings, then I generated them, but the results were quite different. Instead of just the bass strings, the lead notes from the vocals and other parts of the song were included and combined with the strings. Did I set it up incorrectly or what?

Do you mean it has included other instruments in the generation as well as the strings? This is a common problem. I would use Cello for the instrument and if the generation is something you like split the stems. Export it and separate the instruments with a stem splitter like mvsep.com if you don't want to use credits using the suno stem splitter.

Those that are prolific in using Instagram, til tok and the like, being first to toss their entries in a contest, posting continuously in the showcases for a few more listen, and respectfully following those you have an interests in and asking them humbly to follow you as well, I would say are getting much more listens than whether you write a good song alone. But having something nice to listen to when you get peoples attention is helpful.

A shot of the developers console (right click on browser, and click Index should bring it up.... some F12 will pop it up...) to show the errors during that moment.

I tested a Cover and an extend with +Voice. All fine and over 4 minutes each on Android Chrome Tablet format.

Is the Create button literally greyed-out from tapping? If that, the only thing I know is, something must be entered in lyrics and styles if Advance is chosen, to activate the Create button.

You could:

• restart iPhone
• go to iPhone storage and uninstall or offload Suno and reload it.

Those are ways to maybe reset the UX touch offset problem.

Otherwise, I dont know from just typical clean and reset maneuvers.

For some reason suno follows a completely different pattern when it comes to instrumentals and lyrics. Is there a way for suno to give a music without lyrics the same pattern as if it does, like is there a way to trick it into creating a song for lyrics without having any in it?
This would especially be better because it’s a way to setup a song template people can rap over, you can’t really do that with general instrumentals but instead music that are made for lyrics but doesn’t have lyrics in it
Using stems to separate them is terrible because the vocal remover is really bad, you can barely hear the instruments in the song and it sounds weird

How do you get a long track to generate without vocals? I'm trying to get a decent 3+5 minute strip of just general vamping and drums, but every time it will either give me a clipped 30 second track or start inserting random lyrics...

Empty lyric prompts tend to be the 30 second generations, and if I add in a bunch of [drum breakdown] and [bridge] instructions it will tend to start hallucinating lyrics.

Extending the short clips will usually have the same results as an original generation, which means that for 4 minutes of generic guitar and drums I'll need to use 8 sets of generation tokens - which is obviously not acceptable, much less the artifacts that compound as you extend onward

Has anyone else found a method that works here?

Have you tried rapping over it yourself then covering the song and allowing Suno to redub it?

I've done something similar when doing a unique scansion that works but isn't something that Suno is really trained on. (For example, 4/5 syllables and rest a beat before continuing)

Suno will want to fill that gap instead so basically having my own rap template so it can understand what I'm looking for... you can play with style influence high and weirdness low to try to copy it verbatim.

Does it already have lyrics? I’d extract stems first, remove lyrics entirely, save song, then remix it as an instrumental.

But if it’s not a carbon copy of the original song then it’s probably not going to be exact.

I have never found Studio to be particlualry useful as a DAW, I use Logic and it is just way better.
However, if Suno decides to steer more to the "Remove FX" workflow that would be useful to me - meaning polishing/improving the Stems it generates. So far this has been very useful in a few songs.

There was one "hey" at 35 second mark. Is that what you mean as for hallucinating lyrics in the track? Or you're saying this 39 second piece is the good bit that you want to similarly go for 4 minutes?

I presume you want the process to give a full 4 minutes in a one and done? So that eliminates many other techniques that would take some steps and be unacceptable. Such as, as you say, running a few variations of the good parts then sequencing them for 4 minutes.

Hallucinations usually indicate that its tiring or drifting so things like wanted distortions, multiple instrumentation, few if any silence or spacial moments can drain the allocated tokens needed for an output. We sometimes get 1 to 2 minutes then things may start drifting.

The popular Basic / Pro answer has always been to just extend out sections and reprompt to keep things varied/vamping in new directions. In Studio, that can mean whats mentioned above, select the good parts and "Replace" with other versions, then sequence these replacements together.

OK. Yea. If I use "ambient" I can rely on that giving me many long instrumentals. But add "ambient" in with another prompts or prompts and it could do anything but.

So, even if I find something to work for me, the exact same may not work for another. Its hard to have the magic beans we just toss and it works, to be frank.

And if we get 4 minutes worth, we then may get the hallucination and unwanted hiss or distortions for certain types of renditions as mention.... hardcore included, but even full cinematic orchestral pieces if there are no silent bits.

I made some small changes but still only getting 1 to 2 minutes, but none had hallucinations, still most had the light to frequent vocal interjections. Heres a Playlist.

So not quite sure if there is anything further creating the hallucinations. Make sure the prompts all have commas between them and not an "no" or "without" anywhere. I made those edits before doing my trials.

Then Copy your edited prompts, clear the Create and start over, pasting edited prompts back in.

Keeping this Studio related: if preferred, stem the vocal/instrumental and reduce the vocals a bit if needed, then each could be sequenced together in Studio.

Lyrics or even character place markers like ASCII or such, seems to give Suno an idea of the length of a song.

One line of lrics can get a jingle 20 seconds worth. One verse, maybe two minutes with a long outro.....
So it can help to have something , non-legible characters, slashes, dashes, and so on to indicate length, or time as it were.

I threw in 4000 characters but all in one line, and it seemed to give me about 20 seconds more. Probably better to have them as if lyrics.... in stanza form, some line spacing and so on. I wanted to avoid any structure as you wanted more of a vamping , improvisational style (and I was lazy), so you could try some various patterns.

Many users this technique often to stretch out an instrumental, or placed between actual lyrics to stretch out a song.

You can try repeating a letter in the word. That makes Suno sing them longer.

So instead of love.... its lovvvvvvve.... or luvvvvvv.

If you repeat the vowels in love, in this case, it might get a long U sounds
.. such as loove. So be careful which letter you repeat.

Heck, Suno often does that when I dont wish. And much of my songs I then reproduce and sing the vocals. Often I have to real take a good breath to sing those 12 second bits. Lol. Usually, I end up splicing down to 6 seconds. 😁

Has anyone found a solution to the issue in Studio where, after extracting stems, if I click to create a new track or edit a track and choose "Vocal", it generates an entirely new song within that track, complete with all instruments, instead of just vocals? Is this a bug or is there some step I'm missing? It seems unusable.

If you are so bright to load up your OG song not reading into the companies (in this case SUNO) set of rules or such you are not doing it right...Just SUB it boy and dont spam here in the Studio chat your little off beat world problems - I make every month 1000 renderings+ , hang out like 3hrs per day on Suno doing my shizzle and never ran into any issue other than using the color PURPLE HAZE (I mean that makes no sense either so I ended up with purple only). I even distributed certain things on all major platforms already. Suno's support message is crystal clear and professional.
