This isn't really about taste or dialect. Yes, Egyptian, Levantine, Iraqi, Khaleeji, and Maghrebi traditions each have their own flavor — but they all share the same foundation: Arabic maqamat, iqa'at, quarter tones, tarab, and distinct instrument timbres. These are structural facts, not preferences. Suno's current output doesn't fail because it picked the wrong region — it fails because it's generating Turkish music with Arabic lyrics on top.

On "someone needs to step up and cultivate this music" — respectfully, that already happened. Arabic classical music has been cultivated for over a thousand years, refined by Umm Kulthum, Abdel Wahab, Al-Sunbati, Sayed Darwish, and many others, with massive archives and conservatories across the Arab world. The tradition is fully alive. What's missing isn't cultivation — it's Suno's access to that body of work as training data.

Experimentation is great, but no amount of solo sessions will teach a model what a Bayati maqam sounds like, how a qaflah resolves, or how an Arabic oud differs from a Turkish one. That requires authentic source material in the training data.

I welcome non-Arab musicians exploring our music — the more the better. But the issue here is structural: it's about what Suno can and can't currently do, and only Suno (and its data) can fix that 🙂

That may happen, sure. Competitors might decide the legal risk is worth it, especially in regions where enforcement is weaker. But that still doesn’t change the underlying reality for a company operating publicly and at scale.

Also, just to clarify... I’m not staff, I’m only a moderator looking at this pragmatically.

From a purely logical perspective, “another company might ignore copyright law harder” is not really a convincing argument for why Suno should do the same. Especially when the people upset about restrictions are often trying to upload content owned by the exact artists/rightsholders they claim to support.

At the end of the day, users can disagree with the laws, but expecting a public platform to openly violate them is a different thing entirely.

Yet they're getting the same error as I am, who is trying to upload recordings I made on my phone. The two need to be differentiated between, so it clarifies a violation or an error at the user level.

As someone who works in tech, I'm not sure why a backup or roll back hasn't been implemented, given the impact this has had.
I'd be severely bollocked if a change I'd made destroyed an entire system for 5 minutes, let alone 5 days!

What were your slider settings for this? Some functions when combined with sliders that are too high or too low can exhibit unusual symptoms like this. Would recommend using the default sliders unless you find that you aren't getting the result you want with those - and then adjust moderately.

In particular I expect audio influence is likely too high for this (default is 25%) as I have had similar results with extend when using a high audio influence.

From someone who was 54" waist and just under 22 stone ( 308lbs)... Cutting out ALL PROCESSED FOODS, with veg that have a high carbohydrate load, increasing meat intake, cutting out vegetable oils and margarine and fake butters... In 4 years solved many things like I am now 13 stone my reflux ceased, skin problems resolved and turn around in general health was very evident.

Its not about a Controlled Calorie diet, its about eating a diet that mankind has historically eaten that the American greed machine eradicated in the name of profit. Thats where your problem lies. Sugar is the biggest one to overcome as it is byfar the biggest problem in people and their diet.

Also weight loss, expecting results that take years is a tad unrealistic, so give yourself about 2 years per 100 Lbs over your ideal weight.
