I recommend using midjourney, it's easy to use and very good quality. If you want something free then you could try sora or service that is based on Stable Diffusion. Some of those services offer free credits so you'll be able to make some art for free initially. Personally I don't like SD so I don't know much about which services are good.

Depends, how much effort do you want to put into it? Grok seems fine with natural language. SD based is my favorite, I prefer a more shopping list/matter of fact approach to rpomts. MidJourney and Niji or whatever also seems to be popular, but personally it all has the same underlying homogeneous style. Also there's a bunch of platforms offering daily free resources. Civitai is probably the broadest in terms of flux/SD (and pony and illustrious), but as with most AI related sites, there's a bunch of NSFW you'll have to deal with, or filter those out. But not surprising, generally the gooner LoRAs are still better than more serious ones. But you can find LoRAs for anything, from architecture to artists, from characters to landscapes. And same with SD checkpoints (different versions of SD basically.)

Let me see my old civitai library, I currently use a different site, but it's more NSFW infested. But I can leech more free resources from that one. (Less steps though, so civitai is still somewhat better)

Why is Suno chewing words and when will he finally learn to sing letters with emphasis and not just randomly?

As far as I know, Suno did not train explicitly train Suno's AI for different vocals, so the AI learned it implicitly. This would help explain why intended duets do not have a good rate or why the AI tends to swaps the gender.

Again, this is just my assumption. Even though Bark, the Text-To-Speech system Suno worked on before even Chirp, is good about those differences, implementation of it within the AI is different (otherwise the vocal splitter would cleanly separate the vocals if the process was distinctictly different).

One thing that could help influence the vocals used is by using descriptors strongly associated with each gender. E.g. gritty for males, sometimes soft for females, etc.

You can try adding mood too to help try to get the vocals you want but it is a crapshot. Once you do get the voice you want you can use a persona on it.

Though sometimes when I get frustrated enough, I switched the gender and it gave me the opposite which I had intended initially (and only twice did it not)

Hey yall, I haven't been around the server much lately but wanted to pop my head in and ask you guys what your thoughts were on the whole lawsuit stuff going on?

I just watched a video called "AI Music Creators Will Be EXPOSED" by Top Music Attorney. It was actually pretty interesting and the vibe was not what I was expecting given the vibe in the title, lol.

I'm just feeling a little bummed tbh. I personally view things like SUNO as a new medium for creating music. I figured there was going to be this initial hurdle where the concept of what exactly is music, what does it mean to create music, and what not, would come into question. But idk, the gatekeeping in the art and music industry seems to be pretty hardcore.

And I had a small thought that was burning in the back of my brain for quite a while, that I wonder if the trend of hating on AI in art and music is being fueled by large corporations who might feel intimidated by the fact that SUNO makes it so that anyone can create music regardless of who they know in the industry and how much cash they have on hand. Bit of a tin foil hat conspiracy but with the whole dead internet theory idk I could see it being a thing.

But yeah with the whole being forced to disclose that our music was made using AI during the process... there's so much I want to say on it. But at this point it's like screaming into the void because the people who are actually the problem are not the kind of people who want to change their minds, and I shouldn't have to bear the responsibility of slapping some sense into them. Can't argue with stupid.

I definitely recommend watching that video I mentioned though. Putting aside the fact that things such as SUNO shouldn't be considered anything but a new creative medium and the idea of forcing artists to essentially brand themselves as if they have something to be ashamed of is utterly ridiculous to begin with; she brought up some pretty interesting points about privacy concerns and the fact that it might not matter how much AI was used in the process, I think you still get dinged anyway. Which is absurd, imo.

I should not have to be put in a position where I essentially am pressured to have to expose my entire music creation process to the public if I don't want to. And I don't, because it just opens the door for a ton of hate and bullying and just other ridiculous nonsense that I don't deserve. Nor anyone else here.

Anyways rant over. Tldr the world sucks and the same people gatekeeping in the name of protecting creation are ironically obstructing creation.

Actually nah screw it I do have one more thing I want to say.

One of the biggest arguments I see thrown around is that AI tools rely on existing art and music to generate new content, so they call it derivative or even theft. And sure, there are people who slap prompts into AI without putting in any real effort, and yeah, sometimes the results end up sounding a lot like existing stuff. Or sometimes people will deliberately generate something that copies another person, and then try to monetize it. There are some bad apples. That’s a valid conversation to have.

But what about the rest of us?

There are plenty of artists, myself included, who use tools like SUNO to create something completely new. Yes, it’s still based on a model trained on existing data, but so what? Drawing inspiration from other creators isn’t new. It’s not unethical. It’s normal. People do it all the time, consciously or not.

So why are artists like us being punished for using a new tool to create original work? Why is it okay for a human to be inspired by decades of music, but suddenly a problem when an AI-assisted process is involved; even when the final product is entirely unique?

Is it really fair to punish legitimate creators just because of a few bad apples?

To me, it just feels like a double standard.

If we have to start branding ourselves with the AI label and strut around with it like a big red A, then I want to see every creator and producer branding themselves with a label for every piece of software, every instrument, every voice effect, etc that they used to create their song. If their song is literally just them slapping their hands on the pavement, I want to see them credit the pavement. I want to see them give credit to every single person or a piece of art that they drew inspiration from, even if they're not consciously aware that they did so. Not my problem, they should figure it out.
