You can sometimes get lucky.

You can try to prime the pump with your lyrics using meta tags. This is also mostly luck but it helps.

The extending option seems to work best when using the meta tags and style changes. Once you succeed in getting the vocal switch you can get whole song and extend from that to try and 'lock in' the changes.

But the AI is sometimes going to do what the AI is going to do. That's why we're necessary for the operation, it's not just autogenerated.

I did eventually manage it. It took multiple iterations and the ball is bigger than it should be but I've chosen to take the win and move on. I'm using Krea Enhancer for this project and that runs out in a few days so I'm on a time limit unless I want to spend more money.

Of course now it's fighting me on my inpainting.

no! Or rather, as a rule and to stunt on other people on civitai, I basically refuse to use over-specialized Loras unless I'm convinced the model is really lacking the knowledge.

Typically, these models have the information in there, it's just been obfuscated by sloppy fine-tuning, and often this is when they are training it for "safety", where they basically f--- up it's concept associations on order to, for example, make the model think that nude means "wearing underwear" or "firing a rifle" means a magazine cover with a rifle on it.

So my strategy with loras is to make the model more adherent globally using a strategy I devised that uses small datasets and relatively cheap training times to achieve broad improvements. Here are my flux version. Notably though, the positive Lora is overtrained, although you won't notice because of how it works, but I know it's leaving a lot of performance on the table:

Half of my image gens are just me taking a highly rated image with a stack of 10 loras and slapping the astigmatism on it without any

And getting better results; occasionally I do some text preprocessing that is literally just cut and pasting on magic prompt that works particularly well due to the increased adherence with the loras

Additionally, at the present, I recommend combining them with a NSFW Lora at low weight and without the trigger word. Combined with the others, it creates a marked improvement in adherence

The easiest way to explain is, think about the model and how it generates images in steps; so, some group of inputs with have convergent properties. In some sense, you can think of the pool of outputs then as at the bottom of a series of funnel, where each layer of funnels is another step on generation

Now, the safety tuning causes some stages to be diverted into a place where it will push them away from certain possibilities

Basically, some funnels are expanded

So, by simultaneously ablating this tuning

You are much more likely to get the model to avoid these safety tuning issues, which have significant side effects bc by definition they are a form of overfitting

And overfitting is booboo when you don't have that many neurons

You want to generalize as much as possible

And flux is big, but still small compared with the big boys up there (u and me). My flux gens are all made on civitai so you cns just click and see what loras I'm using.

On one or two I didn't use an addon; specifically, it's clear vintage anime was not well understood, so that was a worthwhile lora

Yep. I'm not in a position where I compete with either. Suno, to me, is vastly more useful. Udio. Yes, with the Upload feature. But uploads with voice can not be made public on Suno website. Okay to share by yourself though

suno is not capable of "voice cloning" as most people refer to voice cloning. you can generate a song with a similar sounding voice to yours by uploading a sample of your voice

Also Suno does still own the song you generated. Since it's the only way they can grant you a license. Which is where the paradox comes in. On the one hand, they own it. On the other, they might not own it in some places in the world. Thus they can't grant you a license there and thus you don't have copyright and such granted to you there. So check your country's laws regarding AI to make sure that it doesn't prohibit ownership, copyright of AI generated content

You can master your songs FOR FREE using Audacity... Clean volume increase with no added distortion or clipping. Just as good as Moises or others IMO. Save your money! Import into Audacity > Effects > Volume & Compression > Limiter > adjust threshold to -8 or -7 or -5 (depending on your desired volume, leaving everything else the same ) ... do not worry about volume normalization.

Note: if you want to add more bass or up the vocals -- tinker with the EQ and then add the limiter. Works perfectly Takes about 30 seconds. Someone is likely to say "this is not true mastering" and when they say this, it will be in a deep authoritative voice. whatever.

EU does not give copyright to AI created content, regardless of how it was made. If it contains anything that you made yourself (such as lyrics) then those are copyrighted. If you stem split it in a DAW and resampled, rearranged, layered and remixed and mastered. Then it's all yours. However the EU at this point has declared NOBODY owns AI generated content. Though some countries in the EU contest it and individually say you do. So it's a landmine area. The US I don't know

There's also the issue with samples. The difference in legal rights between lyrics and beats, melodics etc. The issue when transformative rights come in. It's all a legal minefield and so many solo or bands get away with taking samples from songs, tweaking the sound and then using it. The legality or illegality of it hasn't even gotten a judgement/precedent. So I can't tell you what all that in the end means, legally, o what the outcome would be (legally.)

But you should research it, read about the laws and how they apply between samples, beats, lyrics, melodics and the length at which you sample, the popularity of the songs etc. Don't trust in my word either, it's better if you research the laws.

Having pro/premium though means you won't get potentially sued by Suno, something you don't have money to defend yourself for anyway.

You take a song in your library you have previously completed, you select cover, then when it pulls it up you input what changes you want to make in the style to influence it. (Going from reggae to rock and roll for example.) Then you submit it and see how well it converts it. It's good to add more to the style to help direct it and you are also able to edit the combined lyric of the original song to help nudge it where you want to go.

After that it's just experimentation.

This is a tried and true method - at least by me. What I think happens is that Suno picks and pulls from the lyrics, phrases, and what have you and places them in the structure specified above in the template. Instead of following the lyrics 100% - it riffs. The result is a very fluid-sounding song - you've listened to my music, so you know it sounds different from the average suno song. -- some people will say that template is largely ignored ... but it has effects that impact the output, and I like the overall method. I like to experiment with all the styles, but for my music... I like drums. Always drums. And I try to over-emphasize the instrument that I want in the song.

That said -- the new "Exclude feature" is awesome -- it allows you to further define what instruments and whatnot that you do not want in the song -- it's not perfect, but it helps.

Be forewarned -- if you tinker - you will chew through credits -- last night, I got picky on a particular song after growing quite comfortable with this template .. I ate through 1,500 credits. UGH!

But if you go into Suno-Showcase channel and find the result I posted .. you'll hear that the song is very fluid sounding. It kind of distorts ... probably because I added "metal" to the template and style for effect. You can mix and match everything to your taste ... but the idea is fluidity. And I like this method because that's what it delivers.

For a more structured song... enter lyrics in traditionall [verse 1] [verse 2] [Chorus] etc. For structured and fluid -- do both methods ... some lyrics with the template that will be pulled randomly... and some lyrics in the specificed structure that will be rigid.

Both TuneCore and CD Baby have been known to deny AI music distribution for months now.

SoundCloud does not allow AI part of its monetization program. I think it, or another service, pretty much deny all AI music unless it was made with one of their affiliates.

TuneCore, even if they allowed AI, is a service I would avoid because of how they deal with your royalties after your account gets removed (see their TOS). Basically they take your royalties during that period (and your account can be removed as little as a random user reporting you for Bot usage or the like, the Service suspecting you for whatever reason without verification, etc.)

You may think you have nothing to fear since you will not bot the views, etc. But it is not uncommon to get banned for suspected botting when you get tons of views because you put out an Ad on Google for example (or someone can bot you for revenge, happened before)

" confirmation bias" hmmm... that's harsh as Moises confirmed it... and I did present conflicting results. So ... my random test which yielded an actual one-off success -- which could have been anything 48 BPM ... 80 BPM, etc... seems to fall under the category of "more specific research with reported methods be conducted. to determine a P value of .05. For such research, as I've started - I would compare plain prompts 60 BPM, adjective-based prompts (slow 60BPM) narrative-based prompts, and narrative plus adjective to see if any yielded consistent results. The control group would be just random prompts with no specified tempo.

Wasn't meant to be harsh; I apologize if it came across that way -- I don't bring it up to dismiss one-handedly a result that I disagree with, but I go into my Suno experiments with a LOT of doubt, and I'll gladly throw away test results if I feel like the testing methods are flawed.

With that in mind, I know just how much personal care goes into making sure that I give equal consideration to results that fail to prove my theory as I do the times that they DO prove my theory -- in a lot of my observations, people get very excited about the positive results, so much that they'll disregard the overwhelming counter-evidence staring them in the face.

I hope I didn't come across as dismissive, because I genuinely hope people "crack" Suno in a reliable & reproducable way 🙏 💪

My interpretation of the mechanics of this one-off performance might be wildly wrong -- I do not know the inner workings of Suno ... so I might adjust my interpretation to "I do not know why Suno perfectly matched the requested style when 60BPM was added with slow ... of all possible results ... but anyone looking for a way to imperfectly slow down tempo ... this seems to show promise.

Do you mean you used up all your credits for the month and are receiving 50 credits each day now? Or you have subscribed and haven't received any credits apart from the free ones?

Ahh... Ok what happens is that when you use all your credits up you start getting a daily refresh of 50 like free users do. Your subscription will renew at the time of day you subscribed originally, whilst the daily free credits come in at a set time each day... A bit confusing but check the time on your email receipt and that should be when it renews.

It's a nice change they made recently as it's quite common to run out before renewal 😄

im not sure how to do it after the song is already generated, but for next time. when youre making the song, start with the beat, use your own vocals, then extend. the voice is more humanized. example of doing that here. Suno AI vocals start at 00:23
