I dont think there is an issue canceling when done at least seven days before the renewal date.

I havent read anyone having issues when they cancel at least a week after purchase and at least a week before renewal.

Any issues made were those who cancel accounts after it refreshes but a failed payment not received and canceling either immediately after purchase, or within a couple of days before.

Make sure you actually have an active subscription before canceling something thats not yet paid for....yes.

So if you buy a new annual plan , it takes a good 5 days (this holiday week thats about 7 days in bank speak) to finally transfer your debits funds from the international banks into Sunos account. You might see 2500 credit, and Pro Plan Active, for instance, but if its not activated and functioning yet, its on a soft lock until your funds have cleared verification and fruad filters... along with Googles review if ytou should ggo that route.

So, keep watching for being able to create songs in 5.0 and use Studio , if Premier.

On an annual plan... gosh, you have a long time to cancel... so a month later you can cancel and the cancel date will show on your subscription page along as "Plan End Date" with a Renew Button if you change your mind or win the lottery .... as you see in attached

That's an unusual mid-verse switchup, for sure.

In addition to what OBLMOUS said above, I'd add into the style prompt that the singer is male and, if Suno is really insisting on bringing in a female vocalist, then you can add [Male vocalist] or something similar into the lyrics just before the line where the singers currently switch.

If you're trying to avoid re-running the generation to avoid Suno making changes, realistically you're going to need to use the original instrumental stems and replace the vocal stems, which means Suno Studio or an external audio editor. Or lots and lots and lots of regenerations in the hope that you get one which gets it right with minimal changes.

Before hand, I was trying to separate the intruments from the vocals and replacing the half of vocals that was female for male, which was working, but dude was too high pitch like the female vocals from before and it was singing differently in general.

If you only have 12 seconds of audio, that's not a lot for Suno to go on with Cover - I'm not surprised it's having to come up with a lot on it's own to expand into the empty space.

You might be better off using it as an audio upload in standard Create. Is that something you've tried already?

Have you tried extend? That's how I used to do it. May need to switch to V3.5-4.5. quality isn't your point here yet. Just coherence in the extend function. This is Not for final production, but to make your song what you want it to be and then using. Cover over the entire new song that suno produced from the extended production. (No need to take it to full song just use the generated part 2) Then cover with v5 or whatever model you want to re-cover the style. Now that you have an entire song that sounds like you're intro, then it should create the new one from that cover that's what you're looking for.

The reason I suggest those other models is because 5 sometimes will just take what you extended from if it's a short clip and not properly add the melody and instruments when it feeds the vocals, not properly cohere to the original audio. You can try if you want. But I usually used 3.5 and 4.5 for that. Have done it in a whole. So not sure about 4.5+ or 5.

Actually, payment processing are done by third party companies (though I suspect Suno may have a portion of your credit card info, like the last four digit for refunding, etc. Stripe/Google/Apple have your whole number)

Regardless, there is nothing anyone can do here. If you are having issues logging into your Google account, you need to talk to Google's Support.

If you are still logged in to your Suno account on another device, you can register an alternative SSO to that account via Settings > Manage

After reading this chain, theres something else you can try that I have seen work in the past. Login SSO can get borked and the fix is very easy. Go to your Google Account page, update your phone number (even if it is the same, just retype it in), AND change your password. Log OUT of your google account and back in, then try logging back into Suno. That has worked 90% in the past.

If you've "just logged in" with Google before, it may not apply but go to myaccount.google.com, tap Security, scrolls to 2-step verification, and click off , if on, if that may be the issue.

Though you say a phone number doesnt exist, you may have added one years ago. If it really didnt exist Google would try other forms of authentication.

By following Gingers suggestion, you can double check the number as well.

But first, if you wish. Try to log in incognito.

Suno Stem tool is pretty good which I use mainly nowaday.
There are other free options out there you can try, all have their own quirks. Nothing is perfect.
I also hear FLStudio and even Audacity has plugin that can do too.
Try and determine which is the best for yourself.

It points to cache and cookies as Ginger notes. Then make sure youve closed all browsers. Open Task Manager and closed all browser processes to assure no browser up. Open only one browser (an alternate, like Opera) and log in.

There's not a specific length, but Cover is intended to take a completed song and then reimagine it; it's not really designed to create something new and consistent from a blank slate.

You'd be better off creating it as if it were a completely new song, with you setting out the song structure and lyrics in the lyrics box (e.g. use [Intro] [Verse] [Instrumental] as style marker headings, and add lyrics underneath as required. Then using +Audio to add your 12 second sample as an audio prompt for Suno to reference.

Whatever you put in the style prompt will typically apply generally across the entire song, unless you specify a particular section - so you can use that to try to inform consistency.

Suno is pretty good at accepting info on two different vocalists, but switching reliably between them during the song using lyrics prompts will be hit and miss. It helps if there's a consistent pattern across verses and choruses as to who sings what, but you may need to edit the song afterwards to correct mistakes, or build the song up as you go using Extends.

If you search for male and female voices, duets or similar in this channel you'll find advice on a few different ways you can go about this both purely using Suno prompting and regens (the hardest approach, IMO) or blending that with editing afterwards using Suno Studio or an external editor.

This is likely due to the genre/styles you are prompting. You most likely need to adjust what you are prompting for. Remove styles like Metal or Grunge, Nu-Metal ect if you are using them. Instead, try using the magic wand and turn them into a prompt that doesnt specifically call out those genre/styles.

I don't know what went wrong for you, but I don't put any negatives (excludes) in the Style box, only the section for it in advanced. In my experience, Suno tends to DO the negatives if they're added to the style box.

I did some more testing today. My first month's Pro credits are going to be used up for all my tests, LOL.

I discovered that if you set Lyric mode to auto in Cover mode, Suno creates 4-minute songs that are much more complete than in manual mode.

I have not experienced this issue, but we had a seperate issue before with Personas. I would try the same workaround and see if it helps, could try opening the track you want to make a Persona in editor, save as new/export. Then try to create Persona with the new song/copy.
This was the workaround when the Persona option was greyed out, but if it's giving a failure messsage when trying to create maybe try creating it from a copy?

harder to define length of time with text prompting. easier to create a audio clip approximate length and recreate, in my experience.

cut the concertos it creates down to shorter intro, recreate that shorter part if needed.

I'd suggest doing whatever you need to in order to fix the song length/instrumentals part first. Then once you've done that, it's a lot easier to take that final version as an instrumental stem and use that as a reference track to provide your own vocals.

When it comes to putting your vocal stem and the instrument stem together into a single track, you'll need either Suno Studio or an external editor; that kind of editing isn't something that the Basic editor really supports.

There is no list. It is only recreating sounds it heard in training. But that said [laughing] works pretty consistently. [maniacal laughing] i had less successs, so maybe keep it simple.
Pretty sure sound effects will be added later to Studio in the future tho.

It's worth bearing in mind Suno's style prompt is not a true LLM like, say, ChatGPT. So phrases like "Keep the audio clean as in the audio file" won't work as it won't understand that as an instruction to reference the audio upload. It also can't really be prompted for track length, or specific chord progressions - at least not in any reliable way.

I think some of your prompts are trying to specify too much detail. Try something simpler that focuses on the broader style and tone and avoids detailed instructions in the overall style box, and see if that works out differently for you. E.g:

1950s rock and roll, with dance rock and exotic dance music elements.
Key instruments are Hand drums, Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar.
The song is (insert your tempo here - can use fast/slow, give a BPM or a musical term like Allegro, Andante, etc.) . Drums and bass maintain a strong, driving dance rock rhythm throughout.

I'm using the Suno studio feature and have a song with organs. I'm trying to re-create/ replace the segment, but Idk what to regenerate it as. The three most fitting options are keyboard, synth, and wood pipe. I'm wondering what y'all would recommend.

I'm trying the impossible... So I know Suno is not great at being told who to sing with during a certain verse. Can I make a song with just one singer, then put it into studio and redo it however many times is needed to add the the other singers and splice it together? Will each redo keep the same time signature for the singing?

depends. I'd recommend having the singer you want the most as the base singer when first generating the song. Open up studio, create a new lead vocalist in respect of how the current singer sings. Then use the part you want in place of the original singer. Problem, I tried that yesterday with little success. You can scroll up to when I last spoke and find if some of the other people suggestions works for you.

You can do it that way, if you don't have many changes between singers - the downside is that those small 'redo' generations have a tendency to change the instrumentals and don't always splice nicely with existing audio, so you don't want to have to do very many. Cover is also a gamble, since the key and time signature may change.

The approach I usually go for is to Extend from the original song (before the end, e.g. just after a chorus) and re-run the entire song in the Extension for the second singer. Then you can take the vocal stems from the second singer and use Studio (or an external editor) to put their vocals stems in place of the original singer as needed.

I've spent ages trying to get an English London Cockney accent (or any English accent for that matter) and all I get is some weird American country singer, or an old American blues man style. the only difference between the plans is Premier gives access to Studio and you get 10k credits per month. Upgrading (should there not be any billing issues) should be able to be instant, and should immediately give you the 10k credits for the remaining part of the month. It will not "add" 10k credits to what your pro sub has left.

^That said, quite a few people have been having issues with upgrading during the sale.

Additionally, if you upgrade for 1 month, you will only get the sale price for that month, the following month will be full price. You can only lock in a long term sale price with an annual subscription.

Only issue is both the credit and the subscription isnt there....

So if youre in Pro. You can go to subscription page and click upgrade button on the Premium column. It will simply pop up with your choices. After clicking a choice of immediate or at next renewal, it will pop up a tally of costs and you agree or cancel.

Late or failed payments do not stop the refresh date change , nor cancel an auto-pay system. It continues to provide a courtesy attempts over about a week to fund the subscription to keep it current.

Try even "shape-note" about 1st, 2nd, or 3rd prompt position to get a different groove.

When 4.5 first dropped, I spent 2 months worth of credits experiementing and learning what worked.

I find it's hit or miss. Some of my best songs have like 4 prompts, but then some of my other best songs use the full 1000 character limit.

When they noted "you can now just describe what you want" , what they meant was, you dont need to experiment, Suno will truncated the prompts and make its best guess for you. And we now how AI is at guessing. So now the more prompts and phrases used, the more everything has sounded homogenized with 4.5 and 4.5all. Meaning extensions and layered personas are needed more now than ever.

I spend time in a couple different Suno related Discords and I have seen a trend with overloaded prompts, or prompts that use the entire character limit, they usually dont get what they want or expect. WHat I have found is that Suno will often just take a few things from an overloaded prompt and run with that, ignoring the majority of what was prompted. This isnt always the case, but it is very often.

I have found that smarter prompts that are smaller get me what I need much quicker.

Few things to check:

• Are you creating Persona from upload audio with vocal? - that might be the cause if that's the case.
• If not, maybe something in your Persona description is causing error - try to create it with empty description, if successful, update it to add in your description.

Assuming when they say about AI that it remains experimental and ongoing, that AI makes educated guesses, usually better at calculations that interpolation and when generative AI can hallucinate and give results unwarranted , that those factors along with the challenge to find the sweet spot that most users will be happy with may create those problems that just dont seem to go away.

Anything that you read in comments that seems to be a continual issue often just means the developers are very aware of it but having a difficult time "creating a dam to fix it, without flooding the village" so to speak.

So we go in knowing, "This is 5.0 its great when it doesnt ......" and when it does, throw it away and start again.

Did you always cover only in 4.5 before. Quite a few said 4.5 was muffled or had its issue. Then 5.0 , for me, for instance, had the skipping or repeating lines (recently ive not heard).

So thats good 4.5 was working for you well.

Is is issues of noise (harder to fix), or just editing, easier to fix in Studio?

4.5 is fixed version. 5.0 is still beta and ever changing. So, someone who does Chrstian Polka may say that recently 5.0 covers and remasters have improved greatly 🙂

I don't know too much about studio and what it can do, but I would try doing a cover as close as possible to the original (high audio influence) then add the instrument you want to remove to the negatives and put the one you want in the style. Perhaps that could work?

Few options to try:

• You can use Cover to change the entire lyric and keep the melody - but the arrangement would be different...but it could sound almost the same.
• If you have Pro, you can extract Stems to separate Vocal + Instrumental, then on the Instrumental track, do "Add Vocal" and change the lyric
• If you have Premiere, you can do the same, split the Stems, then in Studio, generate the vocal track with new lyric.
• If you have DAW and can sing, download instrumental track then sing your new lyric over it.

Each of these would take some effort and time as it morelikely won't give you what you want on first try.

3. Add Instrumental track from the details panel
4. Add new emptry track - click and drag to create a selection box of each verse

Repeat 4, 5 until you got a gen you like.

YouTube's TOS does require you to disclose whether the audio is AI generated (it's one of the specific examples they give).

They also bury the checkbox deep in the "Show more" extra settings and as far as I know aren't actively policing whether people are using it correctly. Yet.

There is another way using Extend.

The advantage of Extend compared to Cover is that it keeps the key and tempo, and broadly speaking will keep the same style of instrumentation and singers. With a few regenerations, that can be used creatively to fix problems in the original lyrics or instrumentation. Your workflow for vocals would look something like this:

1. Separate stems vocal + instrumental and set them aside.
2. Extend from the original song before the end, and either repeat the entire song or just the sections that you want to re-attempt. If you're trying to fix a specific issue in one section, you can repeat that multiple times over so each generation gives you multiple attempts at a fix.
3. Separate stems vocal + instrumental on the Extension(s) that you need to fix your issue
4. Open up Studio or an external editor/DAW. Import your original instrumental track and original vocal track as a starting point
5. Bring in the Extension vocal fixes one by one and replace the relevant section of the original vocal track with the fixed version.
6. Smooth over any rough edges as needed (e.g. if the singer is at a different volume)

This keeps the original instrumentation completely unchanged, but at cost of some slightly more fiddly editing work on replacing the vocals. Whether that's "better" than VRKing's suggestion depends on your priorities.

@round flare Technically that's quite challenging, since Suno's starting point is to recreate everything anew every time you click create. Being able to regenerate specific stems in Studio is a massive step in the right direction, though, so fingers crossed.

In the meantime, I can strongly recommend getting the lyrics right first time as much as humanly possible - especially at the very start of the song, which is typically the hardest place to make subtle edits using the Extension method. I also regularly fail to follow my own advice on this, though. xD

Totally hear you on that - just expect it may result in a more painful post-editing process if Suno doesn't naturally nail your lyrics on correctly when you try to add them.

What I can say is that where Suno absolutely, categorically excels is on interpreting audio prompts.

So if you are taking a melody-first approach, consider singing over the instrument line to set out what you want the lyrics to do and feeding that upload back into Suno for Remastering / Covering.

Don't worry if you're not the world's best singer. If you're roughly in tune and on-time, Suno can do a lot of heavy lifting. In several songs I've made, the solos from female singers are actually based on my voice. You wouldn't know it from the final version. xD

Nah - if you reupload and "attach" it to generate a new different track - that's Cover.
Cover will make a new different song but Remaster doesn't - though it could if the setting is high.
Remaster only "tries" to remaster the track, fixes small things... smooth out any small imperfections..etc...

You can try using a prompt like [Harmony], but there isn't a reliable way to specify that a particular line should be sung by multiple vocalists as far as I'm aware.

Backing vocals can be prompted for using (your lyrics here) in most genres.

You can do it with naming the singers. It works hit or miss through. Takes a few gens to get it proper

Try putting lyrics in BLOCK CAPITALS if you want the singer to shout/scream/emphasise it. Putting in "quote marks" can also indicate there should be a different emphasis. You can also try including [shouted] as a style prompt in the lyrics box.

As with all these things, Suno won't always 100% follow the instruction, so you may need a couple of attempts and a bit of patience.

The fact you specified multiple vocalists in the style prompt is a very effective general prompt - but yeah, it may not do exactly as you've asked once it boils it down to keywords and the nuance of the context might get lost. That's where lyric prompts can help indicate where you want vocalists to switch - but again, Suno won't always pick up on any specific prompt.

Yes, the point here is though, even no "[prompt]" inline, the CONTEXT itself of the lyrical positioning, made it make a choice on the male and female vocals (as well as their association with the music style) which it gets from context / cadence of lyrics itself

and that this is very consistent across multiple generations, eg. same female positioning even out of the prompted positioning in chorus / verse

which suggests to me, that there is something about the structure itself of the lyrics that plays more than a small role in it. without prompts even.

I believe it's influenced by the genre quite heavily as well. If you try Christmas songs, it'll often make them very call-and-response between a male and female voice, where other genres will more typically alternate verses, or have one singer very clearly established as a lead and the other backing.

tbh this is why I originally started using suno. Often I'd have a banger start to a song, but I'd get writers block and not have a clue what to add for additional sections. So I'd plug it into Suno and get really good ideas back a majority of the time

The ONLY thing that is really disappointing with Suno is the lack of technical use data. I get it, writing a user manual would likely be a full time job for 2-3 people, but I would appreciate a set of basics of what the models are capable of.

Honestly, since most of what I do is metalcore, I'm always struggling with getting vocals heavy and harsh, but not the full-on cookie monster. If I could find a solid way to do that I'd be perfectly happy

To be fair... The very first song I ever tried with suno was a fully produced track ready for vocals. Had I seen and tried this option I probably never would have dug further, and would've missed so much lol.

it's adjusting my track, just barely to fit the vocals that its fitting to the overpainted but almost the same of mine

but when they fight they squirrel and squeak

sound like high weirdness, cos it's doing about the same thing, but with the actual generation, not just noise introduction

i wager cos it's denoising still, but since it can't actually change it, you get the squeal

another great use, is if your vocals are garbage, you can stem split vocals off (or download and use UVR which is free) reupload your now instrumental (or just add vocals to the stem you stemmed on suno)

and it can do wonders to a song that was how you wanted it to sound, but cover is waxing it up too much

another thing I've been trying out, is using stemmed out combine, eg. remove just the drums, and use ADD INSTRUMENTAL, but only prompt for percussion

you'df have to piecemeal it in studio or put the stems together in audacity and recombine, but without the drums / guitar / whatever"

Hello! I've been using Suno now for a couple of days with GREAT pleasure. Having a blast, but I feel theres much more I could do utilizing the prompts. For example; I would love to make 3 verses in a song where each verse is sung by a different voice. Also if I let suno create a lyric it goes to a maximum of 2 verses and some chorus. Any way I can force it to go for 3 verses at the generate? Also ANY other tip that you feel like helped you out is more than welcome. Would love to learn more 🙂

@vague temple Welcome in, glad to hear you're having fun.

You can prompt Suno's lyric creator to include additional verses, or a bridge, as part of what info you put in. However, the character limit is quite small. You could also copy a verse from the second set of lyrics it creates and paste that in after you select the other set, or use ChatGPT (or others) to generate lyrics, where you've got more freedom to specify length and request tweaks and edits.

Trying to do anything with multiple vocalists is quite tricky. Suno can do it, but it's difficult to reliably prompt for (ProTip: prompts are suggestions, rather than commands).

As you're new to this, I won't talk about more complex workarounds, but try specifying in the style prompt that there are separate vocalists that all have distinctly different qualities (e.g. There are two vocalists; a smooth male baritone, accompanied by an soulful female alto). I would try to get two working correctly and learn from that experience before trying three from prompting alone.

Then try using things like [Male Baritone] or [Female Alto] as prompts within the lyrics just before that singer should take over. There are various ways to do this, none of which are perfectly reliable, so again - see this as a learning curve to experience. The genre of music you make will also have a huge influence on how multiple vocalists tend to behave when sharing out verses or lines.

Introducing a third singer or fixing specific problems with two singers is likely to take you into the territory of using Extends, Personas and splitting Vocal and Instrument stems - and potentially Suno Studio or external DAWs/audio editors. I wouldn't dream of inflicting all of that on a newcomer at once, but once you've had time to play around with Suno and try things that do and don't work, feel free to get in touch again. 🙂

Are you using the current editor or the legacy editor?

The current editor is having issues loading the DSP engine, legacy editor is working OK.

In edit UI, there should not be a change in voice when using Replace.

From there, the melody may change , or not, depending on how far out each side Suno needs to go to replace one kind of phoneme (sound parts of a word) with another. These are differences of micro seconds but still mean Suno has to adjust many words and spaces to the left and right again, sometimes meaning the metering is slightly different, and that can change the melody a little if Suno feels another may be more optimal.

Yes. When its routine, we dont think much about it, when its not, its frustrating. Maybe later they'll develop a quicker way.

Always be willing to make small changes and never marry your first love.

Edit replaced word.

Listen for good suggestions. If one found, insert, save.

I am not a fan of the current editor at all.

Minutes ago when I tested it, the current editor hung when it was loading the DSP engine, switchign over to teh legacy editor worked as expected and did the single word test change I tried perfectly.

is there a way to get melodies to generate a lot quieter? Most times the drums get drowned out which is understandable for most music but for hip hop it is not ideal
