The more you suggest "female" it seems the more it might work. So "female vocals" in the styles, [female vocal] before each stanza and write lyrics and use genres typically associated with female voices.

On free, I'm not sure what more you can do, but maybe try to reuse your own prompts and type in new lyrics. Free does not have cover tool or persona tool. Hmmmm.....

How i do in a Paid account, is separate the stems of vocals and instrumental. Then Cover the instrumental and add new lyrics.

The 3 second bits before an after your replacement section could change, but the action should not change any of the rest of the output (song).

It has to blend into the song, so reasonably it would make some adjustments, if its a section that shows those short grayed lines to the right and left of your bolder white selection line.

well i only can select 10 sec minimum, plus this kind of thing is not happening with v3.5, where the few seconds before and after are unchanged but still blending into the new clip

If it appears to not be working in a standard way as expected, then certainly. I may not know exactly the issue. As I use it, I haven't had problems with any replacements changing anything outside of the segment line samples.

Ahhh. an initial set up. though it does give that option, i could assume there could be an issue sending tex to an "international" phone number, but I also would not see why it would not work, if the entry accepted the country code as well as the number and gave an affirmative that it will send a code.

She's already set up the account and has recieved confirmation messages in the past when logging in to the same account. I've suggested she go to the browser on her phone and try to log into Suno from the browser. Other than it being a localized issue with the application, I don't have an intimate understanding of the log in system so this is all I have.

You're right. So she is presently signed up using an SSO? The phone number has been the "path" , like a forgot password, to get a code, as long as a phone number was initially set up in whichever SSO she used.

If she puts in a number that is not registered, it would say the number isn't in their records.

No, telephone sign up and sign in are just like email. Suno sends a two factor authentication to your telephone number. Without it you can't proceed with the sign in.

Heres the thing.... to be careful. But she can switch to the create account form instead of the sign-up. Put in her phone number, if its correct, it will notice her and say that number is already associated. So a good way to check to make sure the number is on file....

BUT.... if it says it will send a code, then go no further, as it will set up a new account. 😦

Quite likely what happened is that someone made a song using those lyrics and copyrighted their rendition of it.

Whatever source ChatGPT/Suno is using to verify if the lyrics is copyrighted is likely looking at the status of the song itself and not for the individual component (i.e. lyrics, composition).

This is also likely why you cannot use Happy Birthday lyrics either even though it has been determined by US Court that it is public domain
(But I got it working by singing Happy Berthday)

It seems that my account got messed up.

I had a pro subscription running till the 20th. Because I already used it up I tried to upgrade to the premier one. Which it did not let me do. So I unsubscribed the old plan and re-subscribed it again.

Then I got the 2500 credits and was able to do 4 extend song prompts.

Then an error accured and the V4 model is no longer shown and my account status changed to unsubscribed..?

On my phone it shows subscribed. In the browser unsubscribed...

Some banks and creeir card companies have been denying payments to Suno due to, what I suspect, high rates of disputes or chargebacks

Investigate if the issue stemmed from your card's company and/or bank. If everything seems fine, contact Google/Apple (if you paid through them) to see if they had an issue and/or contact Suno to see if they had issue receiving the funds by contacting [e-mail]

I have tested that. I uploaded 120 seconds of one of my old songs (with voice in it), then i extended it in v4 with a simple style "pop" and nothing in the lyrics box, and after the extend had rendered i coud click get whole song and suno made the whole song.

You need to have an active premium account and Suno automatically lets you have the rights to everything you personally create. Whether that’ll hold up in terms of actual law? Who knows. Depends how much manual effort you put into making whatever it is you made. Anything with manual effort. Your own lyrics, own melody, song structure etc. I think you’re entitled to the rights no matter what, even if you don’t have a premium account. I don’t think there’s much Suno can do once you download and publish it wherever, as long as you did quite a lot of manual creation.

While I’m not a fan of Suno and haven’t used it much. It can produce some fairly amazing and unique songs if you actually manually make things. The best songs I’ve heard made with Suno, is if Suno is used as more of an assistant than a tool from scratch.

Emulating a style is part of songwriting. I mean, that's why 60s songs sound like 60s songs, 80s songs sound like 80s songs. And why Kelly Clarksons "Underneath the Tree" is similar to Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas" . 😁

As you say, just keep it short of actually sounding like a particular artist, since that can be a sticky situation. Make a song sound too much like a Marvin Gayes groove and style and you get his estate coming after you.

But it's also boring and unimaginative. Be unique.

Yea... I tried a few attempts to get that 80s Hans Zimmer feel with some fun results as I remember. Never got the synth I wanted but all nice sounds.

Search audioaidynamics. For one source. Drag in a Zimmer song and write down the styles that it emits as the song progresses. Put the prompts in Suno and see what the results are. It's a great start to getting a groove and style going.

Otherwise there are other syle/genre analyzer sites out there. Google has one as well. Sonoteller, another.

I have your most expensive package, yet I end up discarding at least half of the songs because they aren't good, and 99% of the bad ones are due to them being cut off at the end.

This is a common problem. The negative prompt is not like the rest of the negative prompts. Also how does it know what keboard is? Too many variations... Even -piano is not strong enough. So you have to see this as a probability matrix rather than an absolute. (KInda like putting deformed hands in Stable Diffusion... If it can't identify it correctly the negative prompt won't work...) I've also found for Suno specifically that sometime the negative prompt can bring focus on something. I'd had better luck leaving it blank.

Try adding weird non style words. Their seed does seem to be time based and there are certain times when it generates cliche after cliche. But adding a bit of cognitive dissonance seems to avoid that issue.

two ways, you can try to extract the vocals as a stem, or you can make a persona from the song and then keep attempting it with different lyrics, or the secret bonus method, you can just select regions and regenerate them with the same or different lyrics for the same or a different amount of time

I wouldn't think AI understands "autotune" as an element. It's just reconstructing the favored sounds found in its training. If you write a folk song for instance, there is nothing that sounds as if it's autotuned.

Yes. A flaw between the character of human creation and the appearance of AI to do the same. AI doesn't know "autotune" it only generalizes and associates all characteristics of a genre, depending on what the developers tells it a genre is.

Same reason we can't well split out vocals from instrumentals. To AI , noise is noise, so vocals can be an instrument and vice verse.

I don't want to get an output of Opera when I want a duet in a hardcore song for instance, but I add Opera in the style prompts, as Opera, or Broadway, or Ensemble are genres/sub-genres which often contain multiple voices, which will help push a duet into my hardcore song. It's always a balance.

Create a folk song or vintage or which ever gives a vocal without autotune. Or lift someone else's prompts which might do the same.

Make a persona.

Try using that persona, but keeping your original prompts. Over-paste them back in.

Try to get a personas vocals, which least still influences your genre and style of your song.

It's experimental, but can be productive.

Yeah, a voice is totally an instrument.
I use Moises to split the vocals, then I rebuild everything in Logic Pro. The voice is the one thing I just can’t make on my own. Sometimes, I even write songs for female voices—even though I’m a guy. But hey, let’s be real, I’m just not a good enough singer! 😁

If staying within Suno, once splicing the stems, we can run the instrumental through Covers once or twice and it will turn the voice bleed-overs into instrumentals, often of course, then throwing in an instrumental melody into the instrumental stem.

But hey, if that’s the only way for now, I’ll just roll with it!

These tools have been made available as even Suno developers see that can't be done. So, like it or not, yea, to use one, you often then must use another and another to clean up the necessary mess.

Putting credits over craftsmanship stops lots of folks ( and free subscribers) in their tracks.

I do the thing and hit 'create' on the create page, then switch to the library tab and refresh it a couple times and boom, there's my new stuff. you can use basycally anything inside of [metatags] ... for me they work best if they are simple, short and descriptive. [instrumental interlude] for example. Suno tries to guess what you mean each time, so the results are always a bit different. Suno just has to get what you mean (and of course being abled to do that).

Yesterday and today I am facing the same problem. When I try to reuse prompt from an already generated song, I get a warning (twice in a row) that the lyrics do not comply with the rules (suddenly), and the third time that the limit on the number of simultaneous generations has been reached. Although nothing is generated at all.

Those are issues that are being worked at systematically because they appear to affect some things more than others and so trying to figure out exactly which of the various things are causing it when is taking slow deliberate behind the scenes progress rather than being something they can run out and patch quickly.

I am not privy to any inside information about the internals but I imagine if it was a quick fix they would have made that fix by now. Instead they need to whittle away at the problem and carve away at whatever is causing it without affecting other things that are working well.

these are 2 issues at once. first the stronger content moderation. and secondly a temporary outage so that songs fail in the background and you dont see them while they fail. the limit thing schould fix itself in like 10 minutes. the lyrics are either too brutal or copyrighted.

Generally, if you're in a country/zone east of the 18°East longitude (a line through Sweden) the time to debit your account to then post Suno's accounts may take as much as 3 business days.

I don't know what happens if you pay to upgrade a day before your renewal. The assumption is it may shift your renewal day to the date payment posted. Or you could get 2500 credits sometime today but ,not be able to use until your payment posts.

Today is the 15th at 11:20am EST as this is written. Payment might post as late as Midnight Tuesday, Monday is a bank holiday, so activities may be delayed, or as early as tonight, of course.

the apple payment doesnt work on the website. you either really need to do that in the app or get a web based account (which also works in the app). This is how i use suno. I have a web based account and use that to log in the apps. I make all payment via card on the website.

There's nothing brutal about the lyrics, it's a song from a children's movie. If the problem is copyright, then it's unfortunate, because I used Suno only for personal entertainment, to give a new sound to those songs that I've heard many-many times. Without such opportunity, Suno is practically useless to me. It's a good thing I didn't renew my subscription.

I have heard users saying that if you not just copypasta public domain lyrics and get a bit creative you could be lucky to be original enough to make songs from it. I tried to generate a song using Yesenin's poems written in 1922. It didn't work out. The texts Suno generates are more or less tolerable in English, but terrible in Russian. In addition, on those resources where I came across references to Suno, almost all the popularity of publications and posts was based on the fact that well-known songs sounded in some new, unusual style. It seems that someone is sawing the branch on which he is sitting.

Right, and that's what I ended up having to do is modify a word here and there, make a different structure, etc. And that worked fine. But there was definitely a change, because I had a few old songs where I didn't have to do that, and I tried to reuse the same prompt that worked before and got the error. Not a big deal for me, personally, but I wonder what prompted the change. It shouldn't be a legal issue at all to use public domain lyrics verbatim.

Part of the issue is that popular songs even ones in public domain often get covers released which result in a new copyright for the performance. So it gets murky. Plus often times a covering artist will change or modernize the words a bit to make it more their own. So it's important to go back and confirm you're using the original and not the updated cover which again has its own copyright.

Copyright law is a mess even before AI stuff entered the picture.

Stuff that people think would definitely be public domain is affected by this stuff. Like bible verses and psalms. Which verison are you using? They all have their own copyrights. Some are more modern translations than others. Like I said, even stuff you would think would be public domain runs into this.

No. It's only about whether you originated your music, have all legal rights to it that no one else can use without your permission or licensing.

So one way is to monitor for material that's already out in public, so along with copyrighted material, it include public domain as well as, again, anything not exclusively yours. So add in trademarks, slogans, and producer tags -- and just about anything Taylor Swift.

You presently can't upload anything not yours, and agree to also let everyone else use it too. So technically, you give permission for Suno to use both your uploaded content and your output. Copyrighted material then is definitely out as you can't license, nor can Suno, for other people to use your output of a derivation of a copyrighted peice.

I'm sure there's logic to arguing on the use of public domain, but at present, the TOS hasn't been updated to waive and include. So it's pretty much a blanket sweep of publicly available material. If you have your own cooyright material and upload it, you might even block yourself, so you'd have to show Suno your copyright filing (or link to it)

All we can say is "I know i agreed legally, but I disagree on principal."

• Credits renew and not rollover at each renewal date.

• Any account canceled before renewal date will just go to Basic level. Any Pro/Premium credits remaining disappear as they do normally, but no renewed credit accept the beginning of daily 50 credits.

• Starting a new Paid subscription indicates you canceled a previous.

• If you had a paid account and also currently paid at or before renewal and it still cut you off, that seems legit to figure out why.

Those points are a normal regular occurrences within Suno subscriptions, so you seem left with issues today of using Suno.

Legit. Everyone else is as well, so likely support won't adress each person individually for the same issues systemwide. System wide issues should be handled first, after which, indivual help would be resumed.

If you signed on with a user name and password, check to make sure you havent been using a "fake" Suno app from someone else.

That said: When you signed up, you used an Single Sign-on authenticator -- you clicked on the icon for Apple/Discord/Google/Microsoft. Either that or you optioned to use your phone number and get sent a code. Which did you use?

I've not had much success correcting this kind of thing in an audio editor or DAW. Others may have had more experience with doing so, but the approach I take is to make my songs in parts, using extend.

So I'll get 3-4 minutes to begin with, and if I find it starts sounding bad after e.g. 2 minutes, I will extend from before 2:00, so that the next part won't be able to "hear" the stuff I don't like. And then I continue this each time.

This may not work well for songs with a standard kind of verse/chorus structure though... I mostly do instrumentals and intentionally try to have variations. So this is a workflow that gives good results for me.

When extending to avoid degradation, the most important thing is to extend from earlier on (if you are extending from the end it will pick up and carry on with the bad sound.) i.e. use the "extend from" box to set the time.

It's an annoying behaviour of the model, hopefully it will be addressed at some point.

Try changing the second, go 1-2 seconds back or forward. It helps sometimes. But at the end, that's the general problem with the model. Bad loudness on treble, bad reverb, vocals get lost, and get worse with every minute.

Hello, i'm on the free version of Suno, i have one question. Few month ago, we were aload to have one free remaster song on the song we want (like on the screen), but now the option is not available anymore. We juste have a "pop-up" on the homepage where we can only choose 3 defaults songs.

I'd just like to say that, when/if they finally get the quality and shimmer issues sorted out in V4, i really hope we can remaster older tracks with it and it will be smart enough to weed out the defects. I've got some great songs in terms of structure and rhythm and stuff, but that stupid shimmer ruins them

Hi there ! I need some help, is suno buggy or something these days ? I paid for the upgrade, but all my songs are cut at 3:15 or less. I wouldn't mind it being that short if it wasn't literraly cut in the middle of something, that's very annoying, particularly when I finally get a result I love :/

Songs made using cover or persona (as this one is) tend to cut off around that time. It's a limitation of those features. You can use "extend" to continue them (it creates a new part that follows on from where the original left off, you can then use "get whole song" to join the parts together afterward.)

Yeha I tried the extend thing, but idk I I didn't use it as intended, but the "part 2" didn't get very well with the initial song, plus it just took a bit of the lyrics but not all the missing ones, I'll give you an exemple

Further explanation, I've generated songs before using my own lyrics that used male and female vocals as a duet and they worked just fine. But recently it is no longer recognizing it at all

I rarely work with lyrics myself but a couple of things I'd try: Extend from a natural point in-between lines or sections (so set the time to be e.g. between verse/chorus) and only put in the remaining lyrics...

and/or put fewer lyrics in the box to begin with - enough to get you to around 3 minutes or so, and then do as described above.

Looking at the examples you gave, it seems you extended from the end of the first part which sounded like it was trying to end the song already so I think the second part is acting like a new song. I'd set the "extend time" to be somewhere between 2:50 and before 3:15, wherever you want the song to continue, and begin with the rest of the lyrics you want sung.

To get rid of the persona, is there another way to get a female voice when I want to ? I tried to put "female voice" in the prompt but it doesn't seem to understand it, and for some reason some genres are male voice only (I can't get a female voice in a rap song for example)

From my experience before I purchased a subscription, giving the female voice a descriptor usually helped

Genres seem to strongly influence the "default" vocal you'll get (depending on how dominant a particular kind of vocal is in that genre, basically.) I'd try using more words to describe the voice. Start with "female vocal" and then describe the texture of the voice, the pitch of the voice, and so on.

We set up an account with Suno through Single Sign-On accounts and so it doesn't take emails to sign up. Where are you entering an email?

To be more clear: there is not a direct "email/password" means of signing into Suno. So, I assume you signed in through one of the SSOs you see Apple/Google/Discord /Microsoft.

It is expected that when you set up an account with any of these, your student email would be initially used. That is how Suno identifies you as a student. There is nothing further and no means to switch from one "regular" email to a student email.

You would have to create a different account with your student email through one of those services, then of course, sign up to Suno with that Student Email account [, Apple, Google, Discord, Microsoft]

The Moderation filter are constantly evolving as all virus checkers, malware lists, and any good filtering system are.

It is hard to determine quite what is getting flagged if it's not so obvious. And the filter/gate has been sensitive of late that, yes, it has been blocking what seems to be pretty innocent. But I think it's starting to include blocking things that aren't as family friendly as well, like threatening, gorish, bullying-like and the like.... basically "offensive" phrases as well. "Explicit" phrases or words seem likely to be included.

Yes. You may have the only means then, if your school does not issue internal emails for their students. I can't think of a further means of contacting the staff member who's is answering the Suno emails regarding students. The mail , I'm sure, is being answered as they are queued.
