That's by design -- all I'll say is it could have been a desktop feature, but it's currently an iOS exclusive (I have a feeling it may come to Android when they make that app a bit more feature-rich)

The way that they have upload music in the create section makes one think that you are getting the ability to affect how the music is generated with words using reiteration. But instead you just get a clip that you can extend. Maybe it should be in a different place? I was all excited lol

That's my take on it -- Scenes don't cost anything (fun fact if you didn't know) -- so I feel like it's a low-effort way for people to quickly showcase what Suno can do for a friend or family member who likely wouldn't care to sit and wait for someone to write 3m worth or lyrics.

Family bbq? Take a video of the dog zooming through the park and make a scene of it to show grandma -- make a scene of Grandpa's new hat and ask Suno to roast him -- instant feedback & because it's simple enough, others might ask for their own versions. The feature fits well on mobile, though it'd be a nice-to-have on desktop.

I'm not sure if it Scenes uses the provided audio in a video -- it uses a Clip-style image/video analysis and writes about what it sees, with guidance from the text section at the bottom

It would be cool if you could use it to put in different sections of sound with your voice or an instrument and then it looks at it as separate layers and then add them all together or weaves them in and out sort of like weaving songs or sounds with a mixer. And then the AI to kind of turn it into something interesting. That would be really cool and I would lose thousands of hours to it

I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not going to pencil down what constitutes transformative use, but if you've made an original piece that uses external sound effects, that's feasibly an acceptable grey area (meaning a body of work that you're layering the sound effects overtop -- not just using the samples)

Have you tried adding "tremolo picking" to the style, or as a tag/descriptor within the lyrics box? I don't know how effective that is vs w/o since it feels like tremolo picking should just happen regularly with black metal w/o needing to call it out, but I did get it with both tests.

It could be that one of the other styles in affecting it, or possibly even something in the lyrics themselves is steering the track in a certain direction. Might be worth testing ONLY the text that I used in the style and lyrics boxes in order to get the ball rolling and establish an intro, then extend from THAT track and add your remaining styles and lyrics to the extension.

I have a question after writing a song. There's a place where you can edit it. The lyrics, but I can't never seen to get it redone. Using the new lyrics without starting over, I mean, I want to use the same voice and style that I already had. It will show new lyrics, but it don't sing the new lyrics.
Is there any Way You can do this?

I did a couple of nice chill pop ethereal piece where I stemmed and remmed a song to get a 4 minute nice instrumental, then extended back on the lyrics for a nice LP of the same song.

You can find some good instrumental stems that have a melodic quality that just doing a lifeless instrumental doesn't do. So stems have some value though not perfect. Just like having kids.

That is only for displaying lyrics as you wish them to be seen. It helps to have a cleaner look for you and the listeners, and doesn't affect the singing as new lyrics.

@spice birch All that does is change the text that gets displayed during playback of the videos. If it's just a word or two that's different, you could try using the Replace feature. You could also try covering the existing song using your new lyrics via the Cover feature.

It's kind of like the real world. Well, its exactly like the real world. The outputs ownership or rights don't change just by using them again in a newer version.

For instance , if i do a re-vamp of Hey Jude by the Beatles in my studio, I don't now own the original recording. All I have done is make a cover and I must buy a license from whoever owns "Hey Jude" to play or distribute my "original" cover.

So, you own the new remaster as a pro user, but the song you used, your older FREE output, is still owned by Suno and whatever agreement you made as a free user still stands. Technically, you would need permission from Suno to remaster the free original.

It's reasonable to assume you can treat the remaster as a free song as well, without monetizing, and no distributing unless you credit Suno. Whether that's true, I can't say.

But members have been given the nod to contact Suno on a case by case and discuss how to tranfer ownership under those circumstances.

All the songs I create are labeled v4 but they come out as songs that are not even v3.5 quality. Short durations, bad sound quality, bad beats. How can I solve this problem? I created songs by spending more than 200 credits thinking that maybe the problem is temporary, but all the tracks were of very bad quality

Cover is used for keeping close to the melody and arrangement and vocal quality but change the style/genre only. So no lyrics changes, technically, can be done with Covers (though there are some tricks you can learn later).

So, on a paid account we have:

Replace Lyrics , under create/edit in the [ . . . ] Menu. It is for replacing a word or sometimes a phrase or a whole verse.

Personas: you can make a persona of your song to retain that voice. Reuse the old songs prompts and change your lyrics as you wish, and tag your new persona's onto it. You will get a new output, with new lyrics but the same vocal qualities. Not exactly a cover version, but maybe something you like as much.

I ask because I’ve seen instances where using the minus symbol too much in the “style of music” box caused bugginess as well

If you notice, there is a very, very obvious difference in quality. Yes, normally there can be a difference in quality between songs, but this is a little bit different. In the middle of the night I created a very high quality song and 10 minutes later I wanted to create another song that I had taken notes on. From that moment on all (and I mean all) of the songs I created started to come out with incredibly bad quality, like I was using version v2. I wasn't kidding when I said all of the songs, because if you consider that a song has 5 credits, all 50 songs I created were of such bad quality. I really have no idea what's going on.

No, that's not how it works. It's just bad placement of the Upload button, which is completely unrelated to whatever is in your current Create window. The Upload feature simply adds the sound clip to your library, at which point it basically becomes a Suno track from which you can extend, remaster, crop, etc...

Hey it would be really nice if i could select multiple tracks to trash all at once, Like just be able to select a bunch of songs then when selected i can just put them in the trash can instead of doing them individual, it takes too long, this should also be a function for inside the trash can too, so i can Perma-Delete all the uselses song i/others have failed.

I think it would also be nice if the search parameters were updated so you can Find Your Full Songs First, when I go to search for my full songs that needed a lot of editing, i get all the edited copies first and i cant find my song until like 5- 10 pages are flipped, when i search for a song i want i dont want to find it under something that wasn't in the search bar, for example i searched for "Barrel of A Gun" and it was Just underneath Tropical vibes, there is no relation in genre or lyrics, but yet it was in the "Results"

The "shimmering" needs to be taken care of too, it just ruins the track, extra noise. Oh yea you also need to take care of the Stems, there okay to some degree but the instrumental Stem still has voices in the back, i can sorta filter them out if i remaster (V4) the Instrumental stem, but not by much, plus, i have to use like 30 ish creds to do it that way and thats a waste

In the past two weeks, my generated results have consistently received the "suno fake" label. I have filled out the verification request form, but a week has passed with no improvement. My emails and feedback have also gone unanswered. I still have half of my 2500 points left this month, but I cannot generate anything under these circumstances.

I don't know how Suno formulates its policies and technical measures, but it is clear that Suno has not effectively distinguished normal users based on website user behavior, which severely impacts the user experience.

I have always accessed the Suno.com website through a VPN (which is necessary in certain regions) using a few fixed devices, including my phone, tablet, and laptop, possibly on both Chrome and Edge browsers. I had not encountered such issues before, but it seems that Suno has intensified its anti-fraud review process without upgrading its verification handling capabilities or anti-fraud technology.

I have also seen a large number of complaints from users in China. I believe Suno should review its IP-based blocking policies. I am not sure why this is happening, but it has mistakenly affected many normal users. If there is a device tagging strategy in place, please provide clarification when accessing the website. I can focus on using a specific device, but I think it would be better to implement a device locking and releasing mechanism over a certain period. I can tolerate some minor inconveniences, but I hope Suno can improve the user experience.

I was producing songs in different languages for a while and I wonder if that might have broken the algorithm. I was producing songs in Spanish, French, Turkish, etc. After I produced the Turkish song, this started to happen. But when I browsed a little bit, I realized that I was the only one who had such a problem.

I use a VPN, but I wasn't using a VPN when I was using Suno. The last 53-second song I posted is a song I created right now (i.e. with the VPN on). But none of the songs I created before that had the VPN turned on. This may be silly, but what do we mean by “aggressively-protective”?

Not silly; sometimes I get too colourful in my descriptions -- there's some pop-up blockers that give basic protection, but then there's some that prevent a lot of stuff from loading --something like "uBlock" with every optional setting turned on

I personally don't have any issue using ad-blocked & similar extensions, but I know others have run into issues because of certain extensions

Quicker is nicer than intrusive. But from there I don't know the technical reason it moved from a direct download to more of a buffered one. Definitely not a glitch, just a new form.

I use Kaspersky Protection and Volume Master as extensions on Google, but these extensions were available before. I don't use an ad blocker because I use Coursera and the ad blocker was a problem there too, unfortunately. To be honest, the night of the problem I didn't do anything I hadn't done before. OK. So let's move from "extensions" which is not what were trying to do, to "covers" which you are trying to do.

You're absolutely right. Covers have been notorious for just rerunning the same outputs as the original, with, if any, minute changes.

3DaisyOriginal , just search in YouTube, called "The AA Method" has done a video suggesting a hack around that to give a better chance at results.

Its about just doing a cover using a genre which reduces the styles down to one or a couple of focal points, a guitar, piano, and vocal, or just vocals. So basic that suno shifts gears and removes the urge to spring back into the original song.

She suggests, start with "a cappella" as a style, do a cover , and rid the instruments. Then cover THAT as an "acoustic" to get a basic guitar/vocal. From there, do any cover you like off of the acoustic version.

I also, started using "opera" and suggested that in the same way, to use a basic genre that was also typically far from being close to what genre we were using in the original. In turn, I'm also been able to use both "opera, death metal" (two opposite styles to weigh both 50%, creating a wormhole vortex,,,,🤪) to rid urge for suno to repeat the same outputs.

I've tried both ways , my way and Daisy's, to find they both have their graces and limits, but both also more successful than not doing either.

It burns some credits, but less credits than just clicking 10 times and getting the same results.

I'm experimenting with other hacks, with success, but too complicated to note.

Because it's one thing when the devs are scrolling through that channel and they see ideas that might get a couple likes here & there -- but if they're scrolling and they see a comment getting disproportionate amounts of likes, even if it's weeks or months old, that stands out in their eyes -- maybe likely to make some office water-cooler chats or something 😄

I just recently began to have issues with Suno generations after purchasing a plan. Remastering is not working and does not include the full song in the generation. Instead, it only recreates a small portion of a song, just over 1 minute. Creating anything new usually results in the same outcome. I did not have this issue before purchasing a plan but it seems now that it has somehow broken Suno. Does anyone know if this is a common problem and if so, is there a way to fix it? I have emailed support but I'm sure it will be a while before I receive a response and hopefully ideal outcome. At the moment, the main reason for the use of these types of apps is to remove artefacts from your generations that shouldn't be there, IE; the infamous 'shimmer' or 'rattle' effect. Stems separate your song in to different categories such as vocals, drums etc to make it easier to pinpoint the specific section you wish to edit before compiling them together again in your final edit

People complain about how many generations they are sifting through but in the scheme of things you've basically paid a small percentage for something hopefully studio quality after a few basic edits. I know it isn't ideal, but personally I would suggest having an alternative account on stand-by for any time you are having issues on your main account. Doesn't necessarily mean you have to sub again but atleast for now you can play around with V3.5 until the problem is worked out.

Hi, pointing out a problem I'm facing, to see if anybody can help me through. I wanted to replace 2 sections of my song: one at the begining of the song and one towards half of the song. I first replaced the section in the half of the song and got a new complete - we will call it version 2- of the song. Now I want to replace the section at the begining of the song but I can't because in the replace section screen, Suno thinks that lyrics start at second 50 of the song, while the truth is that lyrics start at around second 10 of the song. So when I choose the section 10 to 20 seconds of the song, no lyrics appear to be editable. Any ideas please?

ok, I think that you're facing the same problem as me. Probably suno has move the start/end of your lyrics to another time. Try highlighting different parts of the song and see what lyrics Suno thinks is being sung in that selection. Try it in different parts of the song. I did this and found out that Suno started to prompt the first part of my lyrics at around second 50 (when it really starts at second 10)

If I highlight an earlier part of the song, it recognise lyrics and give me a pop up to also highlight the lyrics to be replace. When I move later into the song, to the part I wanna replace, it clears all lyric info like it is not recognising that part has lyrics. As you're a new member, make note, due to members, in part, sending multiple emails, as well as holiday back ups, as well as multiple issues from updates to apps and servers as far back as October, response times for emails have taken up to a week (so anywhere from the next day to 10 days).

We are lucky to have some seasoned members who might help in here get through some simple solutions, though this channel is not for technical support. It's more discussing "technique" and successes.

Not sure if you've gotten a response, but typically, if you show new/renewal credits (10000) that's the subscription automatically renewing, it occurs automatically, payment or not.

But the account updates separately. If our payment has not yet cleared or if there is a problem , the account goes in limbo until the renewal fee has posted/cleared. Nothing more can be done but for us to check our banks or credit card services:

1. to see if the monthly renewal has cleared.
2. check email for the Suno receipt that our payment has posted.

It's mostly up to our side to make sure the payment goes through.

Just to note , if we have an Asian bank such as in Vietnam, China, Malaysia, it seems there may be a human element that can slow the process. I deal with Vietnamese banks and those are often slower to transfer funds.

Your assignment, if you so choose: 1. Check your bank/credit accounts. 2. When you have an emailed receipt from Suno, you should be good to go.

Otherwise, a response from [e-mail]( I assume, is the email address to which you sent) is your only hope.

I solved my issue in the strangest way with help from a friend.
In the new version you do, go to the "Edit song details" and change the lyrics there so it is right there, and not have repeating sections (as happens with replace section, extend and so on). After that, go to another menu, whichever, and then back to your song and open replace section. Then it works.

Yes. You know how the lyrics in the song detail can get super long, repeating and so on when you extend or replace? You edit all those parts out, so only song lyric left in the details is the correct one you want. No repeats and so on.

It basically helps Suno align the song and the lyrics again, so you can work with it again.

I'm not as familiar with distributing AI content through SoundCloud -- I've heard mixed results about it -- a lot of secondhand accounts of people being told the content goes against SoundCloud ToS, but I haven't been able to find anything written.

Also, SoundCloud offers a bunch of different related services, like actual distibution vs just hosting the songs, so I don't know where all that lies. Definitely a question better asked directly to SoundCloud support 🙏

Persona tracks don't reach the full 4m during initial generation because they retain a small clip of the original song for context to listen to, to help continue the style -- this sometimes causes "persona regurgitation", this varies between personas, some being very prone, some not so much.

Mind you this is related to Remastering, but Alex Ayers used to place a lot of strange characters in his lyrics to “creatively break” Suno v3x, while using those same characters in v4 seemed to “actually break” Suno 👀

We don’t command Suno, we suggest things to it.

V4 doesn’t seem as receptive to the older methods of ending a song, but my go-to is to use “end” as the only style prompt, without any lyrics. This brings the general quality down to v3, but you can remaster the result afterward to get v4 quality (but 14m might be over the remaster limit)

For the past week, my generation has been very poor, not the right genre, awful quality, and the "remastered" function doesn't work at all, producing only a two-second silence. Yes you can, yes it costs credits, and it largely just "re-rolls" the EQ and certain instrument accentuations, and can take minor stylistic liberties with the melody

It absolutely can -- due to the nature of generative AI there's still a chance that the outcomes won't be what we expect, but there's tips for improving quality (making sure that the lyrics exactly match what's being sung is HUGE -- remove all metatags and symbols in the displayed lyrics before remastering, or v4 tries to use the provided lyrics, resulting in "oddness")

I'd imagine that 1 word metatags like that would be safer to leave in than others -- it's more a matter of removing bigger metatag chunks, adding in repeated vocals that don't actually show up in the lyrics, removing duplicated lyrics if you used multiple extends, etc

As far as Suno is concerned, you don't technically own the rights to songs you make on Suno's free tier (or not exclusively at least, whereas they waive their rights, titles & interest in the songs made on a paid plan) -- so you can't use the song somewhere that you would make money from it somehow (like a monetized youtube channel, adding it to a game that you're making, etc)

If you're adding it to a free youtube channel, giving credit that the song was made on suno, that's okay -- I'm not familiar with each of the SoundCloud platforms to know which is accepting of Suno content, but the same sort of rules would apply that if you were making money from them on the platform, it'd be a no-go, but free soundcloud or used in an instagram/fabecook personal post are kosher

"lo-fi" works on my hip hop tracks too, but not for 1940s italian operatic arias it seems 🙂 which sound ridiculous when they are pristine and clear

Another thing that I've been doing is replacing the end of the solo and asking it to generate without making it the same length as the selection. I've managed to extend solos from a couple of seconds to up to 2 minutes this way. Has some quirks and sometimes I need to remaster to fix some skipping

Just replace a part without any lyrics while not adding any. Also works with tags to nudge suno towards whatever you want to accomplish

This has the advantage of working on a solo in the middle of a generation you really liked and want to keep the part after the solo

Everything is 140bpm +. Rap is dubstep. Rock is rap, dubstep is jazz. It's so off base last few weeks. Definitely feels like they removing a lot of samples to be honest. So many samey sounding songs and loops regardless of prompt

Yea. I've never known... I guess no one really does.... how Suno uses the prompts.

Generally, we'd think it gives the first prompts in the list a greater weight. But as I often click several times, I notice a tendency for Suno to scroll through the prompt list and make each style featured slightly more prominently in the next output in some form, and so on with the next output.

Then I could add a prompt at the end, and bam, it's feature is greatly shown in the outputs, or put the same in the beginning and it doesn't affect the output to much a degree.

So. From all that, it's hard to say how to control the outputs with the use and placements of one or several prompts, let alone make each output nearly equal.

Ironically, I suppose, making covers of songs often consistently makes outputs near the same and it's difficult to get them to alter in some way

If you get a nice sound, the lyrics and metatags may be better to work with, or may be able to hold the style by making a persona, then use the persona to "bring back", the song, then make small changes in style or lyrics from that persona driven output.

For what it's worth, persona's do capture many traits which you can then work into different songs to get a feeling that the artists vibe is present in all of the songs.

I've got a persona's that often vamps, sings off meter, likes to breathe and grunt a bit, sings a little off key at times, and pulls her lines ,not hitting the beats. I try writing songs that are a bit Avante guard or off the beat, poetically, speaking, to enhance that persona. It's been fun playing around with that.

It might be persona actually, I have not tried it and I just did, and it just made a good copy of the song I liked that I used as the base for the persona.. not sure if a coincidence because I've been taking the prompt I used for that song and generating it over and over without much success until now with the persona lol.

Here's a draft of one example of style that this persona's is good at singing. But even on more varied songs, she pulls it in and makes the song her own so all the songs have a consistent vibe to them. It's pretty nice.

That's cool, I've been trying to make instrumental jungle tracks but the issue is as a sub genre it seems to leak back into general drum and bass or something more upbeat which I am trying to avoid, persona seems to have fixed that

Looks like you're on the right track. Again, using both -- 1) varying placement of prompts with each generation - even just adding in one prompt, like "edgy" or "ambient" to only slightly change the vibe, and 2) experimenting with the persona feature... together are a powerful combination.

In simple terms, AI takes all elements presented and generates one output carved from a large body of source material. Removes what's not needed, based on matching the requested parameters, and what's left is a noise output that sounds like vocals and instruments that tried to match your prompts and lyrics, just as a statue of a human form is carved from a block of marble. There are no separate channels or tracks-- no instrumental or vocal track or stem than can be saved.

I'm assuming that if you can't really synchronize the generation, then the "solution" would be to have a second AI, trained solely on recognizing different instruments, do the split on a post-processing step. That second AI alone might be challenging to train properly though

you should do extension 2 starting from extension 1 if you want to fuse everything together. That way it would combine original song -> extension 1 -> extension 2

I'd recommend generally doing 1 extension, getting the full song and extending again though. This keeps the music more coherent

If you want to do radical changes, you can extend from extensions. This way suno will only use the first extension as the context and not the whole thing (meaning it won't "know" what was in the original part but just on the extension). You can shift heavily between styles that way (i.e: generate an extension then extend again from 1 second or something). The downside is that if the song has vocals, for examples, voices in the 2nd extension won't match the ones in the original part

You can still use in creative ways though. Like extend once, extend again to change radically, merge everything back and as long as the vocals are in the last 2 minutes or so (this is empirical, mind you) you can then extend the whole thing again and have consistent vocals

The extension time will vary greatly on how your song is going and if the AI will interpret that as if the song was drawing to an end. Most my extends end up being between 1:20-2 minutes long. Choosing the "right" moment to extend can dramatically increase your chances of getting a shorter or longer generation. I think you'll eventually get a feeling of that, but by now I can usually tell wether the song's mood is "about to finish", "in the middle" or "needs to go on". I almost never extend from the end of the generation, and usually do that at the start of a bar (especially if the beat is picking up) if I want it to be longer, or at the end of a slowing bar if I want it to finish the song.
