a Cover caught all of these changes (but changed the voice to female)
I watched that video, but it really doesn't say anything useful. It's just an overview of the feature
I couldn't get cover to work at all in the beginning but it works for me now..... and I like it alright
and now it stole another 70 credits from me
I didn't use a single one of these Sections... it shouldn't be charging me anything
If you refresh the page does the credit counter fix itself?
It does not
I've brought this to the attention of one of the devs, and I see Kennedy also mentioned it in #🪲┃bugs-web where the dev has responded, so check there for any follow-ups to this.
Do devs pay attention to this channel at all?
sometimes
I’ve written a song, for which I already have a tune and all the lyrics in my head. But unfortunately I can’t really play any instruments. So I wanted to see whether this AI could apply any accompaniment to my vocals.
However, when I tried to do that, it just left my a cappella track unedited, and THEN suddenly added a bunch of instrumentation after it was over.
Do you guys know any way around this? I’d like to experiment with it a little more.
That sounds really interesting and fun, and I'd love to know the solution too...
Is there a way to improve the drum quality? I'm trying to create an epic 'movie theme' type instrumental song but the drums always sound weak. Any specific prompt to enhance this, please?
replace-section refuses to work for me. It keeps saying lyrics are too long... despite me only trying to change 4 verses. I also edited the song's "displayed" lyrics to remove whatever extra lyrics it was storing from the creation process
how can you get 4 verses changed in 30 seconds?
Your best bet is to do a Cover on the upload
and... lost credits still haven't been returned
“Do a cover on the upload?” What do you mean?
Your upload came in as its own 'song' right? Select that, and do Create > Cover
would it be better to maybe try to fix lyrics later in the section, rather than earlier?
Hmm. Part of the problem here might be that I’m using the mobile app. I don’t see that option.
Hmm, it appears on mine in mobile view but I suppose it depends on the resolution of the mobile view?
Nonetheless, if you go to Desktop Mode, the option should appear
Sooooo trying something new today and it's yeilding no results. so I am assuming you cannot do this
you can't put a BPM in your style of music prompt or in the lyrics can you?
[200 bpm] I get nothing
I have never known this to work, or at least work consistently enough to deem it reliable
poop
Uploading a metronome or drum beat at the required BPM is a good way to force it
another "wish" feature for me aside from nesting remixes or extended tracks under the original is this
Take the first 60s of your song (120s if you're a subscriber) over to https://www.bandlab.com/studio, set your desired BPM and reupload the track back into Suno to extend from -- this way you can set the exact BPM and key of your songs
is it useful to put these kind of phrases before each paragraphs in the lyrics part of the bot?
will the AI understand and take these informations correctly ?
[piano : 0.9, percussion : 0.3, valence : -0.4, arousal : -0.2, romantic : 0.55, sad : 0.5, chill : 0.3, energetic : 0.1]
[piano : 0.3, percussion : 1.0, valence : -0.1, arousal : 0.5, romantic : 0.2, sad : 0.4, chill : 0.1, energetic : 0.65]
Similar to the BPM question above, I've never seen it demonstrated in a way that's reliably reproducible.
I don't believe we can set our own prompt weights in this way.
I would imagine I can do the same thing in Albeton or Acid Pro yea? they have that ability
so how can i do if i want the bot to do the first "phrase" for the begining and end of the song
and the second "phrase" for the middle of the song ?
Yeah, I just default to recommending free web-based software, but the same methodology applies -- except you can get WAY more powerful if you're familiar with the external software you're using 💪
Just a safe reminder that any external clips or beats used in editing add "grey area" to ownership/authorship if you want to monetize those songs.
Use an extension where you want to force a change in the song -- for most methods, simply noting a change in style prompts will be enough to keep the same melody but allow you to modify your style -- there's a learning curve and lots of tips to give on how to get the best results, but the community here can help with any questions
ok thanks for the informations ^^'
well, i will continue to try tomorrow
I notice that the replaced lyrics later in the Section seem to adhere to the melody a lot more than near the start. Should I be trying to make my changes by verse first, and then the pre-chorus later?
@charred merlin since you are here 🙂 do you know of anyway to get cleaner sounds from Suno? some songs are really clean no artifacts no background or odd noises, no odd tones that are held thru the entire song. but then you get variants that are dirty as hell, lots of noise. I notice it in Drum and Bass and in Metal songs specifically. you will get these insane artifacts in the song that make it sound distorted or worse, you get a banger of a tune but its holding a key down and so you get this one long wave of a synth
I'm going back and getting the exact lyrics prompt I used... hopefully this will work better
Some of the generations are lower quality than others just by the nature of generative AI, but the best way to minimize that happening in future updates is by using ... > Report > Bug > Low Audio Quality.
I've seen instances of lower quality original tracks being "upscaled" when being stitched together with a better quality extension, though it's been a while since I've really sought to test anything like that out -- @unique stone might be able to anecdotally back me up, as I think they'd experienced similar results.
Beyond that, it's a lot easier to just accept that sometimes the audio will be less desirable & do a public service to report it, but if there's a specific track you're smitten on, I'd recommend a similar approach to what I suggested earlier -- using external stem splitters to isolate & tidy up the stems using whatever mastering methods you're comfortable with, and reuploading 60-120s to extend from.
Cover seems to be the best way to "upscale" stuff at the moment. I've only otherwise managed it by downloading, manually editing, reuploading and extending/prompting for the same kind of generation again (and that was just to fix some older v3/v3.5 early access audio bugs.)
Heck, covers is such a unpredictably powerful tool, you might even be able to make a cover of a good song that features a weird droning or artefacts to "smooth them out", maybe even after bluntly removing the offending sections in your preferred DAW
Agreed; I mean, yeah -- Ole Faithful works, but handling it as a one-shot generation through a cover just sounds super sexy cool.
maybe I'm not getting it... I tried just writing the lyrics I want replaced, and then adjusting the slider on the right to encapsulate what I've changed
even that doesn't want to work well
yeah, this is garbo
Yeah .. not sure if its me but I can't get any replacment lyrics to work
not worth wasting the credits on
yeah right now I pull it, put it in my DAW and master the living shit out of it. but even that doesn't work all the time. I may buy Izotope as they have an analyzer that can remove that noise
Covers doesn't work right for me, I either get a different version of the song I hate or it still has noise
am I trying to make my edits in too many places?
just go one line at a time or something?
by any chance does anyone know why I can't extend a 1 minute instrumental? I liked the song but it's too short... I do it and it only gives me 8 seconds of nothing.
Is it just me or does replacing a part in the song cut a part from the start?
Tried a few times now and every time i end up with a song where a part of the start is missing when i try to replace a part at the end of the song. 🤔
Are you extending from silence at the end of the song, or are you placing the timestamp at a part that you want to continue from?
When are you going to improve the voice from robotic to more human-like?
i need some help, i am trying to use multiple choruses with variations but so far the attempts arent working whatsoever, even extensions still result in Suno repeating the very first Chorus
tried numbering, extending, non numbering but simply using Chorus on all 3... nothing works
Maybe try labeling it as a "Pre Chorus" instead. I've found pre choruses to be more flexible to changes than Chorus. It seems hard to change a chorus once suno makes one
Do they have the same syllable count and rhythm?
tried that in the order: Verse, Pre, Verse 2, Chorus, Verse 3, Bridge, Post, Outro and it played Pre, Chorus, Post back to back
no and yes
I never seemed to have a problem with my variable chorus, where lines 1, 2 and 5 all matched, but 3 and 4 varied
and it had 4 different pairs
I have tried it from seconds before the end of the song, and I have also tried it seconds ahead.
lines 1, 2 and 4 are different on the Chorus 2
Chorus 3 has line 1 and 3 with Chorus 1 and line 2 with Chorus 2 but its 4th is different
see, that's probably what you're doing wrong then. You need to give suno something to latch on to
i specifically do NOT want it to latch
the entire premise of the song are dreams and visions, these arent constants
Well there's a handy new feature that may be able to do what you want
oh... you're saying it's just importing previous lines
it literally replays Chorus 1 throughout the song and thats it, it doesnt even attempt to read the other 2 choruses
I'm saying you need to make sure the chorus lines all keep the same rhythm of vocal notes in enough places for Suno to give it the same melody, which is what I'm guessing you want
its not simply the melody, its completely SKIPPING THE CHORUSES (fml what part of this is not registering???)
Happened to me everytime
I gave up
is this in an Extension, or an original generation?
both give that stupid result
Yes, seems the part it replaces (30s) is exactly what is missing at the beginning then. Tried a few more but will wait for a fix now.
Do you have an example to show?
https://suno.com/song/661e4e99-e8e2-4f73-813d-3f0ace6cc340 this was the one i gave up on yesterday, reworked the song's lyrics even more to attempt it on the next reset but for this one you'll just to finely listen (the 4th line has a differing segment on each Chorus)
orchestral atmospheric magical choir song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
ugh sorry wrong one,
https://suno.com/song/ce67fb35-0de4-4b9f-8cc1-23c5ccde0999 this was the attempt at trying to of course keep the previous beat but it was a waste since it didnt incorporate the intended Choruses
orchestral atmospheric magical choir song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
also they werent, i changed the lyrics to match Suno's result
https://suno.com/song/a62b44d0-0e4b-489a-a08c-3e25864a8c8e this was the other generation next to the first i linked that you assumed was wrong
orchestral atmospheric magical choir song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
I want to see the actual lyrics prompt you're using, not what comes out
you can view that in the above one
as said it was the other generation that was next to the one i initially linked
they both have the exact same lyrics in all of the choruses
you can't expect Suno to just read your mind
I need a gen where you didn't mess with Displayed Lyrics
theres a subtle difference at the end of each Chorus here
then open your eyes and actually read each choruses 4th line
don't lie to me
Chorus 1 - Future - They'll lead me through
Chorus 2 - Present - They're leading me through
Chorus 3 - Past - They led me through
and yet Suno consistently only repeats Chorus 1 "They'll lead me through"
they're probably not different enough then
[Chorus]
Beholding the dreams, I can never escape
They draw ever near, a destined fate
A future unfolding, a promise so true
I chase in vain, they'll lead me through
[Empathetic Chorus]
Beholding the dream, I could never escape
It draws ever near, a destined fate
A future promise, too true
Chasing in vain, a vision leading me through
[Passionate Chorus]
Beholding the dream, I can never escape
It draws ever near, a destined fate
A future unfolding, a promise so true
I'm chasing the truth, leading me through
this is the format i will be using with the rewritten song
a combination of that, and the variable part coming at the end might be causing it problems
shares similarities on segments here, but each chorus is marked different and will be different to that extent, the problem is i dont wanna waste any credits so i need to get this right
can't help you on that front, 'cause it'll take however long it takes
but... I can tell you with mine, each chorus was: (Common line 1), (Common line 2), (Variable line 3), (Variable line 4), (Common line 5 ending)
You probably want to keep this link handy for writing lyrics: https://syllablecounter.net
Syllable Counter is a free online tool that helps you count the total number of syllables for any word or sentences, per line for haiku poems.
there we go
it's not 100% accurate, but it should prevent any wild mismatches
Does the edit lyrics addition only work on desktop or is it up for mobile as well?
Ok well I found it on mobile but when I click on it it just takes me to the global trending page
the only sure way is to make a Suno version without drums and add the drums in a DAW. I made once this, sounds great.
I've tried things like Kettle Drums, or Tribal Drums and its made a significant differencve
on editing sections anyone else having an issue, that making the full song crops the beginning of the whole song?
it just choped my song, starts from the chorus now
UGHHH this is sooo frustrating. why is extend only extending the 1:24 second song by 30 seconds???? i'm pissing away credits here.
[Replace Section Feedback]
I'm not sure If I'm using it correctly (I watched the video), but It is generating a version that skips 37 seconds in an unedited area (after 1,5 seconds). I replaced the section (2:01-2:14)
Original song:
https://suno.com/song/50020af0-e2e3-443c-8d80-bc60e83da929
- The original song has 3:56min
Final song after the replaced section:
https://suno.com/song/0ce8bd6b-31f0-4d45-8ef3-5a3aaf431c29
- The song starts the intro and after 1,5 seconds it skips the first part, going straight to the second part, which in the original song starts around 38-39 seconds
- This edited song has 3:19min

i have the same issue, hope they fix soon 🙏
Yeah, and the lyrics are correct. I didn't see any message in the Song Details, btw.
also, now lyrics limit is lower, down to 1250, so i think if a song becomes larger it might creates an issue when rendering it out? nevermind i was in V3 🤦♂️
really frustrating, but again it's amazing what we can do with it
100% if you came to me 3yrs ago and was like "you're gonna be able to just put in your computer in 2 sentences what you want to make musically and it will spit it out" i'd have laughed and said "i wish"
I've been waiting for this since I released Pinp X This is Only A Test years back.
Re: replacing a section as here (#📢┃announcements message) I have a song that I did in August which I would like to replace a section of, but it doesn't have the option. How can I access this? I have several such songs that I have been saving in hopes of touching up as the platform increases capability.
The song: https://suno.com/song/0769961e-ae79-4f54-864a-5a8081b34481
lutes male vocals bardic acoustic medieval folk-rock with biting, witty lyrics directed at a self-absorbed lover song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
How can I Add chords? Does the AI recognized chords?
i cannot get this to work
1:24 + :30 is about 2 minutes. The length of an extend. From my perspective, It seems to like the math, rather than always add 2 minutes on top from where you splice in the extend.
Then other times you can extend it off the end of an output or anywhere and it will roll out 2 more minutes.
But, just saying, I see the former pattern occasionally.
Big F
Are you on a paid plan? You have to be a subscriber
I am, indeed @safe hazel
Does anyone know how to stop Suno from repeating the same verses over and over again when you have other lyrics
I lay it out like this
[VERSE 1]
blah blah blah
[VERSE 2]
Blah blah blah
some times it gets it, lots of times, it just repeats shit. and I don't want to use that new feature yet cause its brand new...not gonna be the guinea pig here
So far, the easiest answer is "no". As it has modeled the relationship of one note or chord to the others surrounding, within all styles fed it, that is the direction it goes when giving outputs. Suno might have some ideas of theory, but I don't honestly think it understands chords as much as just applying certain progressions based on our prompts .
Yeah it especially likes to repeat verses 2/3. I usually extend from before it starts hallucinating. IDK if there's a better way, but that's been my workaround.
Others have chords written in their lyrics, and feel that alone is working. So there's that. But I haven't found it to work.
interesting coincidence here:
https://suno.com/song/d395c0a8-5c07-4e7c-ab57-2475587bb2b1
I recognize this tune starting at 00:43.
"My fleur de lune was filled with night" 1:10 and before.
Yolkhead post-instrumental cello revival, classically trained pianist, ambient chaotic baroque, cellist #MySpace song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
Hypnagogic+(gumbe)+Moombahton, talkbox|vocoder, sulfur+hexafluoride+vocals+raw+underproduced+phonk-funkcore+disco-punk song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
I just fell in love with you
I'm a little surprised I remembered this progression lol
as the two are entirely unrelated
and I mean, in every way concievable, including prompt
which tells me: Yolkhead.
bc that's an overfit
Personally I didn't find all of those to work, but messing around with the structure of the verses has helped me
Figured it out. It wasn't appearing at all at first, and then I got this:
IDK how I'm even going to fix that ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I'm guessing now that we should save the details regardless the red message so suno will realign it properly, Idk
Oh, that's interesting. I don't think they mentioned that length limit anywhere
They didn't, I checked.
i have tried out the replace functionality. What is odd is that sections that i have marked to create only 15 seconds go on to create 1 minute and 20 seconds. I am not sure how to limit the replacement to only the items that are marked. Any one have an idea?
No idea I'm having the same issue
I had to go back to my very original file from back in May, but I got it.
Final result, if anyone cares. Thank you for your help!
lutes male vocals bardic acoustic medieval folk-rock with biting, witty lyrics directed at a self-absorbed lover song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
imho, it's not anything you're doing wrong, if it makes you feel any better.
I need a thirty second snippet worked on and it's making full on a minute to a minute and a half sections. Tried to save a section to see what it would do and all it did was make a whole new song with the edits I'd made that was shorter than the original
i tried about 15 replacements of a short section, about 20 seoncds for the second attempt. It continues to replace at least a minute or more. I have aligned all the lyrics up, so that is not the issue. At least via the UI, it shows that i shoudl be getting a 20 second clip.
it seems like the closer to the end of a song that you get, the more eratic the behavior becomes in regards to legnth. When i tried the very top of a song, it will often take the first 20 seoncds as it is supposed to.
I was also getting some wild gibberish too.
it must be a bug, when you try to render the whole song after the section edit, instead of giving it complete, it crops the beginning of it
however
if you try to cover that bugged-cropped song, it covers the complete original song, so the data is there somehow
hoping for a easy-quick fix 🤞
I just came to see if anyone else was having this issue. I got an amazing section edit and now it's useless because the first 20 seconds of the song disappeared. Fingers crossed it's a quick fix, like you said.
Is there a list sound effects that are known to work by adding * asterisks * around it in the lyrics?
Seems I wasted creds by using your new feature...
DO NOT use the new feature on a extended part 2, it won't allow you to create a full song, and is just a waste of creds
When you make a new "Section" It'll create a 'Full Song' from it, which only captures what you put into the lyrics - So, if you had a part 1 that you extended off of, it makes it useless now
The feature isn't finished, and needs to go into Beta..
The replace section feature is in beta though?
It's not, cause it doesn't have the BETA next to it, like Crop Song does
In the pricing section of the announcement they state that it is an early access beta and it is free to make the generations.
up to 1000 per day
Guess I didn't see that; But, that is like the main thing that needs fixed on it - being able to use it on part 2 of an extended song
It costs five credits if you use a section but you can make a million atm
Oh, it's buggy. No argument there, but it is beta, and hopefully they'll get it sorted out, before it goes non beta.
Idk how I'm feeling about it tbh. If it's gonna cost credits to use on a song you've already spent a ton of credits to hammer down I may not use it much tbh.
it is useful for when you have a song with a defect in the middle that is fairly short but is otherwise spot on.
When it's a little less buggy I'll agree with that. Lol
Said song has to be fairly short though because it has a nasty bug currently where it crops the start of the song when rendering the full song, if the song is too long...
and it make the replacement section the same length toggle doesn't seem to work as 10 second sections often get replaced with 30-50 second regenerations...
but it does work pretty good for fixing old V3 songs that maxed out at 2 minute generations while you can roll the dice for free, I wouldn't pay credits for generations of this quality, but when I only need to pay for the one that works I've got some old songs that I don't mind giving the polish I always wished I could.
Makes sense, I'm just concerned new features are going to turn into a "nickel and dime" situation.
But we'll see. Still a fun tool either way.
damn and I was just about to try this new feature
hi guys, is the team planning to release an API anytime soon?
yeah... I'm not a fan of it either. I can't get it to do what even a Cover was able to
i just tried the invite thing it didnt work please help 😭

By the way, you're being timed out for use of caps lock.
Please speak calmly.
I'll remove your time out.
Please. Don't ping team members and please don't use caps or the bot will time you out again.
i clicked on an invite a friend sent me i had 215 credtids suno told me to sign in and make 10 songs and we both will receive 250 credits but i just wasted my 10 songs
what a scam 😡
The "Refer a friend" was a special promotion, it's no longer active.
wdym??? didnt it just came up today????
i never saw this til today
and i did see it a few months ago and it worked for me back then and now its back up today
oh, I see. It's back now!
yes and it didn't work for me but it worked for my friend he said
now do u understand my frustration wasting my credits
Did you and your friend both create ten songs yet?
ill ask him
but i did
thoses are the songs in the screenshot i did
When I was using Cover Songs with my 60 sec clips a couple weeks ago, it worked well and made some 4+min tunes based on my lyrics. With this new 2min upload clip to make a cover song, the output is always 3:17 only and doesn’t finish my songs. Any ideas?
Yes, forgive me for not fully understanding at first
its ok and sorry for overreacting
he's offline we have to wait till he reply 😦 😭
Thank you for calming down..
We can figure it out when he comes back online.
By the way, when you used it a few months ago, how many freinds did you invite?
only one that i can think of
can i make that the singer has an accent like a russian one but the text is in english?
wished i knew sorry bro 🤷🏻♂️
Hello 😀
I found your service by chance on the Internet.
And I think it's very cool.
I have already told my friends and acquaintances about Suno.com.
I hope you stay online for a long time, because it's really great.
I have indicated in my songs that I created them with an AI.
My question would be:
I'm not selling the music, it's just become my new hobby.
I have already created 4 songs.
So I would be happy if I could get permission.
to publish my music on ‘jamendo.com’.
I also mention in the text that I made this with an AI.
And I do not sell it. My music remains free.
Please answer me.
Thank you very much.
Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
he's being confusing 😭
is this correct?
I've actually experimented with spelling english words phonetically using the Cyrillic alphabet. It works sometimes.
Has anyone else noticed credits being deducted when using "replace section"? Got the impression that its free atm 🤔
Free to generate, 5 credits to actually replace
https://suno.com/song/afae447d-33ed-457b-ba36-a5b391d6138a
The lyrics are generated and not the best. But it demonstrates how "well" it works
omegalul
Haha that's a nice one! I did some experiments with mixing russian too, but covering an italian song I made with a russian genre, then using a mix of russian words and italian words but spelled in cyrillic. So epic and fun!
https://suno.com/song/d177bf92-ad8b-406c-923f-3e2565a0ff1d
russian accent, hardbass song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
Yes. I believe so. Trying [Russian male vocals] or [Russian vocals] should be enough. Suno doesn't translate languages that I've seen, it spits out exactly what you type, so if English characters, the it sings English. But it forms words from what accents you prefer in a few cases.
If you reference NO lyrics but say [Russian vocals] it has, in my observation, often output a babble-scat of accented sounds /words/gibberish in the typical forms of Russian words (or of course the language you chose) including a few understandable words.
I'll run a test. Let's see if I'm right-ish.
https://suno.com/song/59bf946a-5277-4a5f-9930-2bd7164236f5
https://suno.com/song/ac75b04c-9193-46eb-9bab-f579b793c86d
So here are two examples with English words and a "russian" accent. Of course, it could be another accent or a close emulation. But the idea is yes, you can get a English with accents.
The first one threw in the Russian word "что" as "что bananas" -- so it translates "what bananas" -- so Suno has a vocabulary of some form that it can use to rhyme words in other languages? Again, I don't think it genuinely can trasnslate though.
Just tried to test new inpainting (replace a section) feature and it seems I can’t effectively use it on my songs as lyrics exceed 3000 characters. In reality lyrics are shorter, but as it seems each time I extend a song, Suno will append lyrics - creating some mess not related to what actually is being singed. So far this was not causing any issues but now this creates issues. Any known ways of overcoming this?
try going into edit song details and clean your lyrics before using the replace feature
Meanwhile I can't replace a section near the end of a song because the "full song" created crops the intro for reasons:( is it better to extend instead of replacing to modify final parts of the song?
Hello! I managed to generate 2 songs yesterday, and after that, impossible to generate any. I only have this message popping "An error occured" "A system error occurred". I still have 50 credits. Anyone can help? Thanks!
nvm i just used my alt and my partner account and it worked i got my credits back with heaps of extra one thanks for helping
Be aware that as per the Suno Terms of Service: "You may not create more than one account to benefit from the free tier of the Service."
I was able to prompt for an accented singer just in the style box
I will say though, it came with some hallucination in that language. I didn't mind though, 'cause that made it sound more authentic
ProTip: Because Suno's library search is so bad, find a word or short phrase that only exists in the song you're looking for. One of my songs has "frankenstein" as a lyric, and just searching for that gave me all the myriad versions of only that song, whereas searching for the song's title was a crapshoot.
When I say the search is "bad" here is what I mean: I've noticed that if you put two words in search, you will get all results for both of those words as if you searched for them separately. So if I'm looking for the "live" cover I made of a song called "Big Daddies", and I put "big daddies live" in the search box, I will get every generation that has any of the words "live", "big", or "daddies" in the title, lyrics, style or excluded style.
And putting in quotations doesn't help to phrase the words. It just searches as individual words, I've found.
No, that will only affect lyrics which are displayed alongside the song when you share it.
Yes, fix the lyrics on the Song Details page so they contain only the correct lyrics.

Yep. I've tried a dozen things, such as -word or word1&word2 but nope. It just splits the query by spaces and does an OR search on every word.
all these new features as nice as they are I would much rather have the audio quality worked on and updated, no point being able to do all these new things if the overall sound quality is really poor. When Suno first launched the quality was really good, but since v3.0 and v3.5 for me, the audio quality is so bad full of wishy washy sound and artefacts. I am at the point where last month I lost 9840 credits because I just wasn't using Suno and this month I stand to lose 9920 credits as I renew tomorrow, I have just downgraded my account, I mean its all good for Suno right. I hear a lot about v4.0 but will wait till then as for me it just doesn't work anymore for the music I like to create. Wasting thousand's of credits on poor generations is one thing, wasting the time doing it is another.
I'm trying to have a song mostly female vocal but the male she is singing to interjects.. But I can't get his section sung in a male voice
the bridge just carries on in the female voice, which really doesn't work
At the lease, put [Male vocal] AFTER [Bridge]... or even try [Bridge: Male]
There may be variations that work more consistently, or less, like. [Bridge]: [male]
I have mananged a switch to male in one other song but that was a spoken word part. Thanks for your help, I'll try youyr suggestions
Have you tried replace section and changing the style to male vocals?
I don't want the whole song to change. Could adding [Male Vocals] to the style work (Not replacing the current [Female vocal]
I think Alliecat is suggesting using the new "replace" feature? So you would designate the section, and edit it to be "male vocal" to be then inserted in place of what's there. Is that right @shadow timber ?
Replace section just changed the small part of the song you select, you could just select those two lines and change style
Yep!
I know some people successfully used it to translate into French, so I don’t see why changing gender wouldn’t work
I'm experimenting on a song I don't care about now, a throwaway one I created
Its not like duets aren't common in the music world!
Hello, does anyone know if or how you can get Suno to sing the German name "Michael" and not the English version? My text is in German and is sung that way, but the name "Michael" in it is sung in English.
It makes a new song when it replaces, the old version stays in your list
Similar to Mihh-kelle?
If all else fails getting the phonetic pronunciation usually works
You can spell things phonetically if that helps.
I yield to my distinguished colleague.
Phonetically? How do I do that?
Thats why I'm getting so many versions in my library.. version contril becoming an issue
I usually look whatever the word is up on Wikipedia, but I’m not sure how to get the German of a name, maybe google “how do you pronounce Michael in German”
You want the official pronunciation with the weird characters
Type it out the way it sounds using English letters ( or others if you known them) if I want Tokyo to be three syllables I might type " Tow-key-o"
For Jesus in Spanish I might need to spell out "hay-zoos"
🙃 Aaahhh, now I understand. Thank you! I'll try
If you type just "Mi" it might still pronounce as Mee. To get a "short i" sound, you may try "Mih"
"Yor wel-kum"
Ha, I found the phonetic spelling on wikionary mɪçaˌeːl
Yes. Agreed. That would get the best pronunciation, Fer sure.
If you copy paste exactly that it should work
Similar to Russian. For example, Michail Gorbatschow
So, I just learned that the weird letters version I was talking about is officially called the IPA spelling - International Phonetic Alphabet
"Mee-khah-el" try that at least
I’ve used it in the past for words Suno absolutely refused to pronounce correctly
Like psionic 😆
The IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) spelling for the German pronunciation of "Michael" is:
/ˈmiːçaʔeːl/
👆 Thanks ChatGPT
You’re a clever one, I didn’t think of that
Me: "Suno. What is the IPA spelling for Michael as pronounce in German? "
Suno:
The City Lights in Berlin
Casts a shadow on Michelle
Neon rain falls, ever twirling
I can't pronounce that word so well.
OK, so I've created another throwaway song; i make no claim on authorship of this song, I've not changed a word of the lyrics; i wanted to see how the lyric generator and the song generator work together, and I'm not sure they do
I just said in the idea generator i wanted it to be male vocal and female vocal.... And the kyric generator put lines
but the song generator sometimes sings the words togetehr, man and woman, and the switch between vocalists is pretty random
(Its quite a fun song though)
folk, guitar, male vocals, female vocals song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
Yeah it’s always been kind of random when it swaps male to female, you have to use a lot of credits and keep going
The worst part is sometimes it forgets what it’s doing and kind of slides between two voices through an androgynous voice which is neither one
oh and i've changed my name to pip X in Suno, but taht link ios still giving me my temp name
Okay, you need [man] in brackets so it doesn’t sing it
[male voice] is what I usually use
(I know this room isb't for samples, but like I said, I don't consider that my song, just trying to demonstrate my experience)
If you’re discussing technical matters I think it’s okay, it’s just not for promoting songs
Yes i get that, I just wanted to see how the song generator and lyric generator worked together.. they speak a different language, on all my actual songs, i use bracket
The lyrics generator is chat gpt as I understand it
ah, OK
I use ChatGPT as a sounding board in my writing but never to generate actual words! Its not terribly good at that
I learn all the time. Thansk for engaging with my issues today
Happy to do it, hope it was helpful
I'm still a little non plussed about it all works, in 2 days since i found Suno I've created about 5 songs (in the project I want to work on + plus a couple of throwaways) and i'm between 75 and 95 % happy with them, today I've been working on the various editing techniques like extend, replace and cover version, and I havn't got the hang of them
but still, early days
i can see me using a lot of credits just experimenting
Yes, the result is very good. "Me shoa al" makes the best result. Many many thanks! ☺️
Glad you found a solution to your issue Zyaml
Hello ... Can we give little duration to an Suno génération Like 30s for exemple? When i Use Extend fonction her with 30 He does not work
I can't download WAV files at the moment on Suno. It alerts an error.
@dim glacier maybe you can help me here?
That time mark is the starting time of where you wish to begin the extension. An extension can go from 8 seconds to 2 minutes. So that time-mark is not the desired length of an extension. There is no switch to request a length of an extension. You get a random time with each extension generation.
You also have the impression that Chat gpt is obsessed by the word "neon" in the lyrics?
how to make the A.I update the style. I've change the style, but it keep staying. ( i think swtich change doesn't work anymore )
hey, i can't "extend" the track, always credit refaund, IDK, why, i tried switch the styles, but still dosen't work.
when i create a song with no styles its not showing what styles it used anymore. just says no style
{'message': 'failed to get private suno account group: get private suno account group by account id: get account suno group relation: record not found'}
I'm getting this error when I called suno ai models for song generation. Can anyone help with proper guidance?
SKOL! drink!!! ( our drinking game every time someone says "NEON")
If it happens often, you may be extending from a blank few seconds of silence at the end of the generation you're trying to extend to. Check the end time when it goes silent and extend a few seconds before that time.
Out of the two versions created, the one I preffered disappeared from the library. Even the share link does not work, the page opens but the song will not play. Is there any way to fix the file or get the song back?
Are you using the Suno website or iOS app?
If it said "an error occurred during generation", the song is not recoverable as far as I know.
It's cute
And you managed to get a single instrument playing which is hard to do!
there was no error notification and I had been able to listen to the song prior. but now it's simply gone :(
Can you share the song link? I wanna check something to see if I can recover it
@unique stone looks like we have another bot account?
Some of my best friends are bots
Apologies if you were offended -- your account was created 1 minute before posting an unrelated reply to a conversation you weren't involved with.
To be fair the first interaction here was a reply disagreeing with a user that was explaining a problem they were having
@river shell I'm sorry, it looks like it's gone 😦 *
I notice that the song was made within the last 50 minutes, so I'm not sure when it stopped working, but likely there was a banner that popped up at the bottom of the screen while the song was generating -- infrequently this can happen while a song is processing, before the "extend" button appears to show that it's finished.
* You could email support@suno.com with the song link to see if there's anything that can be done on their end, but I'd advise against getting hopes up. 🫂
no worries :") but thanks so much for your help!
Now you are being rude.
i'll just try again until another one has the right vibes hahah
tbf, one of the greatest songs Tenacious D ever wrote was about the best song they ever played -- even if they couldn't ever replicate the song that saved them from the devil.
I'll be looking forward to your Tribute 💪
⛧
Go back under your bridge.
@final hazel
That's enough. Stop.
Thanks Dasvon .. But How i can prompt to have a quick Musical ascent up to 25s and then a descent for 5 S?
You can't prompt for specific lengths of time
i have like little credit to use, but after the payment stops you guys take it away :/ like that's a little silly
Hi All. Regarding COVERS, does anyone know if Suno plans to allow uploads longer than 120secs? I want to upload some of my original songs in their entirety so that the AI has more to go on. At the moment I have to cut up songs, i.e. Intro, 1 verse, 1 chorus, bridge, outro, and so on. The AI is great at filling in any gaps but to be able to give it the whole picture from start to finish would be amazing. Stay Safe, Reb.
@past sage As he said. You can't prompt for lengths of time. You can try to start an extend where you wish , prompt for "build" or "ascent" or "crescendo". I would try crescendo first as Suno understands musical notations. If the extend works well, then try starting another extend 25 seconds into that previous one. The latter metataging for hmmmm [decrescendo] ? Or diminuendo.... or try informal words as you said, [descent]. Whether it will descend quickly in 5 seconds is doubtful. It may take extra tags like [end] or [Fade out] or heck, even [cut] to see if they influence the descent to be quicker. Such as:
[Orchestral decent]
[End] [end]
[Fade out]
I , myself, would test [portamento] to see if it has any influence to descend faster, but it's a wild guess.
Others can correct or add to this. I'm sure there are better suggestions.
All said and done, you may just get some piano music or soft jazz.
I tested a couple and just wasn't able to get any concrete feeling that there was any control in only a couple of generations with extends. So, the suggestions are not reliable, but still could be attempted.
Anyone know if we are going to get back the credits Suno stole from us for trying to Replace sections? I'm still down a bunch of credits...
I have a question about the COVERS feature, which is pretty much the only one I use. It's currently limited to 200 covers, what happens when it drops to 0? There doesn't seem to be a way to use credits against Covers at this point, so what are Suno's plans at this stage with this feature? Also, while you guys are thinking about a specific pricing for Covers, does the counter reset to 200 once my new billing cycle starts? So many questions, so few answers...
https://suno.com/blog/covers mentions "We Need Your Feedback" but how can I do so? I'd love to provide feedback, just have no way of providing it on Discord...Nor do I know how to provide feedback through the app... should I just use community@suno.com ?
Oogh, I didn't realize it was 200 and then you're done...
Not sure if we're done. I'm not at 0 yet, but I'm not producing any Covers song now before I know the answer to that Q....
@graceful moth Mine dropped to zero so I had to buy more credits, then I could use Covers again.
If you’re subscribed do regular credits work?
Thanks Reb! I have a boat load of credits I don't use, does this mean it starts eating up your credits once you get to 0 from the 200 startin point? If so, at which rate does it use up the credits?
I'm trying to create a song and have 2,950 credits. I have the top subscription. But it says I need 10 more credits???
It's 10 credits per generation for Covers, just like a normal generation
It says to upgrade my subscription. So it's as if it's not recognizing my credits or my subscription.
Excellent! Thanks for the info @twin kiln and @safe hazel 🫶
@graceful moth Im new to SUNO and signed up for the COVERS option. I just assumed that all my credits could be used for this but it seems that the dredits are split up, some for Covers and some for normal creation. When my Covers allotment ran out, I could not find away to use the remaining credits for covers. I had to choose - wait for a month or buy more creds sooner. I opted for the later.
This should not be the case, there is no difference between cover credits and normal credits, they should all come from the same pool
Contact support@suno.com for a discussion and see what they can help with. If it helps to change perspective, from this point on, assume any added features are executed with the debit of credits. If not, such as "get whole song", then more power to us.
If i could donate you some credit, I'd be glad to. I'm waiting for that " gift credits" feature like on Twitch. Lol.
@safe hazel I'm not sure then. Bit confused by this point to be honest. All I know is, I sw a message pop up now and again saying - "You have 120 remaing credits for covers, or something like that. When I could no longer create covers, I still had 1200 credits in my account. I might be wrong those, maybe I didn't understand what I was seeing lol
Haha. Well I appreciate it. Not a big deal, just blowing through my credits this month extremely fast because I generated one song maybe like 30 times before it gave me something I was marginally happy with. I guess I also need to better understand how to give it instructions it will actually listen to.
It did that on me 3 months ago. I can't remember why. Is your credits renewal date today?
It says I have the credits available right now.
That 120 remaining credits was probably from the 200 free covers that they gave subscribers. After the 200 are used up, it will start taking from your credit pool
https://discord.com/channels/1069381916492562582/1263857907011813517 Might be this known-bug? If you go to https://www.suno.com/account are you prompted to update your payment info?
Hey! Apologies if this is the wrong channel, but I'm looking to get some context on a quick question.
We found Suno for work and have LOVED it so far. My boss really wants us to use the content for our social stuff, but is apprehensive about buying any new subscriptions until we've seen results. Are we able to use Suno music generated under a free account for a corporate instagram account?
yes; with attribution to suno.com, as long as you don't monetize it 💪
Well, apparently this is my renew day but payday isn't for a week. However. I still have the credits from last month. So I should be able to access them.
It states at the bottom of the account page that credits don't roll over from month to month 🙏
So if I don't use them, I lose them? Well, that sucks. I didn't see that.
I've reset my point of view to say "it will take (as you say) an expected initial group of 20 tries with each generation [extends, covers, splices, crops] to get the next 'good' output"
Then I compare that to what I've spent on a recording studio to give me just one song somewhat close to what I'd like.
If Suno would just say, "each generation uses 200 credits with 20 free gens, however, if satisfied, you may click [done] and any remaining gens are credited back at 10 credits per. " Then everyone would brag how they got something done in only 12 tries. 😄
Sounds good! To confirm, if/when we upgrade to Pro, we own all of the audio we create for commercial, distribution, and/or usage purposes, right?
Yeah it would be nice if you could get credited back for songs that suck. I guess that’s why they give us so many credits.
Right. Yea, it has to be micro-sectioned so it may be possible to get a good result with the least credits, but knowing it might take many, in other cases.
Yeah. It’s true, I’ve gotten great results in one or two tries. Which is why it’s so discouraging to be spending tons of time and credits on one song now.
Some days are diamonds. Some days are stone.
Sorry, sir. I see you gave an answer. I'll remove my response.
Though. . . . their response [if not P, then Q] didn't mesh with your answer.
I'm sorry if I gave the impression that you should delete responses -- it makes me happy to see community members helping one another, and wouldn't want to discourage anyone from contributing
Glad to see I'm not the only to have felt such a regression in time. Somehow, they've updated their model and it now spits out crap half the time (and cuts up Cover songs at the 3'30'' mark consistently, another oddity)
https://help.suno.com/en/categories/550145-rights-ownership
Lots packed into that question, and I'll defer to support@suno.com, the official discord Guides, and the knowledgebase linked above 🙏
Official support would be the best people to ask since, well, it is official and you can use their written response. Most of us here are not lawyers and definitely cannot give you any legal advice
Actually, my feeling is that it should be up to Suno's legal team to answer that question and clear up the vagueness of this specific TOS section:
Subject to your compliance with these Terms of Service , if you are a user who has subscribed to the paid tier of the Service, Suno hereby assigns to you all of its right, title and interest in and to any Output owned by Suno and generated from Submissions made by you through the Service during the term of your paid-tier subscription. However, due to the nature of machine learning, Suno makes no representation or warranty to you that any copyright will vest in any Output.
First of all, it would be great to define what Suno's "right, title and interest" is or are. As a matter of fact, there is typically not a single right in IP law, but multiple ones : reproduction right, distribution right, derivative work right, performance right, right of attribution, right to license or sell, right to control the commercial use of the song...
Furtermore, it would be great if Suno could explain this specific sentence in layman's terms:
"due to the nature of machine learning, Suno makes no representation or warranty to you that any copyright will vest in any Output."
My understanding is that Suno cannot guarantee that it won't generate the same track (or a very similar one) to 2 different users so it can't guarantee that you (the 1st user) won't potentially lose in a court of law in case the 2nd user files a copyright infringement lawsuit against you.
Note that I'm not even considering the fact that you may be sued by a real artist (name it Justin Mars for the sake of the example) in case your Suno-produced track has a striking resemblance with one of Justin Mars' productions...
You can also contact legal@suno.com if you feel like your question warrants it, but for general inquiries it's usually the support team that gets referred -- likely different staffing and turnaround times.
General rule of thumb -- don't take legal advice from strangers over Discord, contact a copyright lawyer.
Oh heck no. I delete my comments often. I didn't want confusion. No worries mate.
As a side note -- learning guitar and writing your own song doesn't guarantee that anything you write will vest in a copyright --
there's so many complexities in Copyright Law that Suno is essentially covering their butt by saying it's not thir responsibility to guarantee you can copyright songs, just that they remove themselves from the matter so you can have general commercial rights.
I totally agree with the stranger over Discord comment. I'm a stranger, not a copyright lawyer so clearly don't take advice for me.
However, I find it odd that the support team would bear any credibility to weigh in on legal terms laid out in Terms of Service. No matter what any support team writes, what matters in a court of law are the TOS the user agrees to. At the end of the day, the words of the legal team and only them bear credibility before a judge, imho.
For sure. Bottom line is, as the teacher told us, check your work. .... and further... show your work.
I know a song I write from the top of my head may be similar to a popular song, god knows I've heard many that are in writers circles. So Suno or AI song are no different. Check with appropriate sources for any encroachment of a melody or riff.
As for copyrights. I'd say it's a three-sided coin. There may be no vested copyrights, yes, and so far, that's correct, there are none 2) there may be later copyright rights given to AI which may need to be re-transferred according to whatever law is created at that point, and 3) the coins edge.... copyrights may be redefined in the future, but regardless, there are no free police to enforce them. Never were. Just expensive lawyers.
The support team holds credibility because they can give official statements -- the legal team probably doesn't respond to general inquiries about the wording of the ToS and likely reserves contact for actionable requests.
I'm not sure what we're trying to accomplish at this point, but I hope some light has been shed on the matter and where to direct the conversation moving forward.
A TOS , in its overall presentation, is not there to permit the user, it's there to protect the owner. Otherwise the TOS wouldn't grow each year someone finds a loophole.
I think it started with my not appreciating the bait and switch tactic of that member acting as if they were given permission to do whatever they wanted [To confirm...].
Reminds me when in Dumb and Dumber, the actor says, "The odds are 1 in a million" and Lloyd says "So I have a chance".
It's called "motivational reasoning" where one confirms their beliefs from your conversation despite possible contradictory or unconfirmed evidence.
why is downloading wav files not working rn
That seems to recur with many people. I haven't had issues, but other have.
I use a Samsung android. But I've downloaded WAV on my desktop as well.
That's right. But when you sell something to someone, you must give something to the user in exchange for his money if you're seriously interested in growing your business. Otherwise, you bear the risk of being out of business sooner than you think.
Granted, it's not the place to have this discussion (there is unfortunately no other channel to have serious discussions, I tend to avoid the #general-suno channel) so I'll rest my case here.
Works on my end;
-
- On https://www.suno.com/account does it still show that you have an active paid membership, or does it say you need to update your payment method?
-
- If all checks out with the account, are you prevented from downloading .wav files for all songs, or is it a specific song(s)?
Right. Suno seems open to expound with further clarification in the FAQs to when people seemed confused as to what the TOS was saying. Good for them and it helps us to better understand what we should focus on.
you must give something to the user
I pay them, they give me access to their song generating AI service.
I noticed people who has this problem tends to use a Chromium-based browsers (when this issue appears). Try downloading the WAV on non-Chronium like Firefox
this worked. thank you
You're welcome and thank you for letting me know.
[I wonder what is the underlying cause for chromium-based to reject it, a maximum size limit?
To be investigated by me when I have plenty of free time (one day...)]
Yeah, I'm using Arc browser (I think they use Chrome on the back end) and two days ago it was working fine.
Robots hate Chrome 😔
Hmmm... that's questionable: free tier users also have access to the song generating AI service, so that's not just what you get for your money.
The value proposition of the $$ plans is more than just access to an AI-based song generation service + some extra features. It also includes some sort of IP rights. But those IP rights are unfortunately loosely defined although they matter a lot to some paid users (especially artists and corporate ones). Hence the open question.
sounds questionable
Understandable -- let's break it down!
Free plans aren't granted commercial usage of the songs (because Suno doesn't waive their rights, titles & interest in the song, so they're still exerting legal ownership over the content).
Free users also are kept on a credit allowance that renews daily.
Paid users get general commercial rights, all of their daily credit allowances paid up front, plus a sizeable bonus.
I'd argue that Suno fairly states their stake in the matter, and leaves the rest up to the individual -- since ownership, authorship & copyright are much larger topics than they're responsible for explaining, they're only obligated to explain their involvement, and not what you are & aren't allowed to do with the content you produce, beyond stating that you have general commercial usage of the content.
Also, they don't grant extra rights if you're a paid member, they simply waive their rights, titles & interests, so they aren't involved in the matter of determining ownership for the purpose of copyright & monetization 💪
Just made a 7 minute song (~77mb) and had no issue downloading the .wav on chrome, if it helps with your eventual testing
Thank you harber 🤗 ❤️
That's not what the TOS says. It explicitely states " Suno hereby assigns to you all of its right, title and interest" so they do assign their rights to you. But don't clearly say what their rights are.
The main issue here imho is that it's not even clear what their rights are, since their rights may be tied to the content they use to train their models. That's a much larger issue that's still being debated between AI companies and content right holders and that many AI companies face. That's why you start seeing OpenAI and the likes strike deals with folks like News Corp (see https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/22/business/media/openai-news-corp-content-deal.html ) so that they hedge their risk of getting into lengthy court battles and acquire full licensing rights that they can potentially pass on to the users of their AI service if they want to (or need to).
I said they don't grant extra rights -- they're being very forthcoming in their wording, meaning they don't retain any ownership if you generated your song on a paid membership.
They're not making any claims about copyright because it's an evolving field, and if 2 people use the same style prompts as input, they're not guaranteeing that the songs will vest in a copyright.
This isn't an example of a poorly worded ToS in the way you seem to be implying, and instead of continuing the conversation further, I'm going to strongly recommend that you contact a legal representative if you have concerns about what "all rights, titles and interest in" could possibly mean.
Trying to interpret further and understand, because I genuinely had ownership concerns when I first started using Suno -- if you're arguing that they don't have adequate rights to the content in the first place, that's a bigger conversation in general, and I think it's being played out in courts as we speak.
I feel like we have a different understanding of what “rights assignment” means, but that’s OK. I’ve contacted their support team anyway so I’ll see what they get back to me with.
For the record, I’m not arguing or implying anything, I just don’t know and I’m asking questions. It’s an interesting conversation to have among users of the service, because it does highlight the fact that we have a different understanding of what we get for our money. But that conversation is obviously futile and not actionable if one doesn’t get the last word from the maker of the service. Which I intend (or at least hope) to get, as far as I am concerned.
I completely understand -- I was asking the same question back in April, and feel like having asked the question and followed up and researched on my own (after not receiving a response), I feel a lot more informed on the concept of IP in regards to ownership, authorship & copyright -- none of which are black and white, making the vagueness in the ToS wording completely understandable.
After all, they aren't promising to produce copyrightable songs for you, but they're asserting that they have the rights to the content they generate, and don't retain any legal ownership if you made the song on a paid account.
A lot of people will want further assurances, like knowing they can put stuff on youtube or monetize it, but those require interactions with other company's ToS, and technically Suno has handled their side of the bargain by generating bespoke content for you based on your input, and if paid, remove any barriers from their end that would prevent monetization.
I'm genuinely wondering if you're questioning whether they have the rights to the songs in the first place, based on the reference to the training data?
Hello! Did anyone noticed that swirl reverb on almost every track?
It's so annoying and on 90% of the tracks it shows up, I've tried all sorts of ways to get it out but it's impossible (I've been a music producer for many years).
Suno really needs to improve the audio quality and solve this reverb problem.
It may seem counterproductive, but are you limiting your prompts to 3 or less, and comparing the results? And do you get the same results? That swirling reverb hiss.
The "replace section". Not available on Android phones? It doesn't say in announcements. But I don't find on my phone.
I can't rename my songs, someone can help me please?
Easiest way is to open your song's page and click the title displayed on the page.
It becomes editable.
Or from the create page, you can click the three dots. Then edit > song details
Using the replace function and trying to replace a particular section, but I've tried more than once now and in this particular replacement it cuts out the first ten seconds of my song for some reason. I've done multiple other replacements in the song already without issue, it's just for whatever reason in this particular spot it causes the front of the song to get clipped after I confirm a replacement. I've reported the bug as "other", hopefully they can catch what's causing this.
How to delete all songs from trash with 1 click? Or at least select all and delete
my issue with Replace Section is that it just doesn't seem to want to keep the same melody and rhythm... I've had a Cover manage it better than this has yet
it tends to get it better near the end of the section, but not with the first part of lyrics
does messing with the highlighted section in the second window do much?
since it's not gonna cost credits now... I'm gonna try something. Think I may have an idea
I'm gonna try a much more targeted replacement, and see if that helps
nope. Still didn't work
what am I doing wrong?
wait a second...
let me try this instead
AHA!! 💡
this could get expensive, but I think I can manage it
eurgh.... it's still changing up too much
hi. i hope the content of this song is not too polarizing for #📚┃suno-school . i just would like to know why does the lyric video gets out of sync halfway in and if there is anything i can do to fix it. i tried regenerating video but it gets the same result.
https://suno.com/song/76d75b66-f068-4268-99ac-12574a5c2a6c
reggae, rasta, jamaican, upbeat song. Listen and make your own with Suno.
Hello, is there anybody here who can help me?
already did that, even after regenerating. the desync and resync seems to happen at almost precisely the same time as in the original.
YES, omg. I have that in EVERY single track now and it ruins everything. I tried a lot to prevent it but nothing works. This is really frustrating.
im assuming the AI has a bit of freedom in how it decides to arrange the lyrics. then the next question is, how does the video component get the information where the lyrics are in the audio timeline? does the AI output some metadata along with the audio? or does the video component try to recognize my speech recognition? something else?
downloaded the vocal stems and they are fine. there are a few artifacts in there. but nothing like the video desync
i'm kind of curious
assuming that the AI has been trained on real data, and it's goal is to reproduce what sounds fair (in a nutshell)
does that imply english songs will tend to generate better results?
or, at the very least, english generations could engulf a larger range of possibilities
due to the fact that most songs in the world are english, meaning the training sample could've been bigger
me and my friends generated quite a few german songs. the voices are mostly correct, but sometimes there are heavy artifacts in some of the words or it is mispronounced if there is a similarly spelled word in english. i have generated songs in english, german, belarussian, and japanese. i can get the same quality or the same broken sound in any language, but i feel like the quality in english is more consistently high
for example, the AI sometimes pronounces the german generic feminine article "die" (the) like the english word for aliven't, instead of the correct german [dee]
yeah sounds like what I get with french sometimes
now I'm getting REALLY broken gens with Replace Section
like... 10 seconds ballooning into 2:10
...and it chopped off
are you making very big changes in the replace section?
there's need an improvement, it the genre vocals, because for a verse i want a female, for 500 credit, it doesnt give it to me.
I let in the style and lyrice female
no man
exclude man
style man
still
that singing
so i understand suno cloned my voice i even gave it music i wrote with my voice pre combined before i even used ai and i still cant sell it on soundcloud?

so idk dudes why this is really a problem hell i gave away at least another 30 albums at this point waiting to release stuff again
support said to provide invoice i did that already
put them on the others platform, they accept them
no shii?
did you have any luck wrangling this? its a welcome feature--but it cuts off early (using same prompt for that section)
Only small ones at a time, and with fitting replacements
@cold zenith whats dis others platform?
deezer, youtube, youtube music, spotify, tidal, amazon music, 7 digital, line, tiktok etc
Also, it's chopping off the front of a song
but those are retailers i meant distribution
Each platform has their policies, Suno can't do anything about it.
7digital people can buy on it
well distroshit and soundcloudshitickus are distributers they dont actually sell the stuff all those others are retailers
so i guess i am wondering if there is a distrubuters for this
i could solo sell to all that stuff but man come on shiiii
and rn idk i could do that but its like bad automation at his point
btw @grizzled prairie that profile contemplation pic is legit. off topic
topic lol
I didn't get any front cut-offs until after I started messing about after the 2 minute mark
I don't know why I'm having such problems with this
the replace thing seems to work best if you keep your prompt intact with the [information] instructions for before and after--and if you replace whole verse/chorus etc and make it the same length. It might take a few goes, but it gets it right eventually.
eg: say you want to replace verse 1 because it mucked up the first line
[instrumental]
[verse 1]
Lyrics
All of them
For verse 1
[break]
edit to add: (It seems to prefer having the boundaries or it 'gets lost')
I'm trying to keep the sections I'm replacing short so it doesn't go off the rails with the melody
I've tried the 'replacing whole sections' bit... it doesn't want to adhere to what was there before
yeah, it doesn't like very small bits. i had a verse at the very start, just the first line--had to replace the whole verse, but it got better after adding back in the [info] before and after.
....I'll give that a shot, but I hope it doesn't go too crazy
also, look at how your lyrics are laid out, for some edits, i had to break up the lyric and it worked better or it just rushed through them.
it's a bit hit and miss at the moment, but im sure it'll get fine tuned 🙂
hopefully before it costs credits to generate those
secret thing use dis
<
<>
was fun
nope... still not catching the melody the same
it's garbage doing it that way. I had better results with the small sections
gees, tell us what you really think 😕
well, when it complete changes up the melody, I have a bit of a problem
true, i feel that pain
I've literally had a COVER give me a better result than ANYTHING I've managed to get from this
fair enough
I got a little somewhere with the small sections, but now it's trying to chop the front of the song off
seems like a choice between a round-ended hammer and a wrench for this nail
I don't want it to change the melody or the rhythm. There's even one syllable less in the revision, for a little more natural pause in the rhythm
just put the new words in... that's IT!!!! ALL I want out of it... why is that too much to ask?!
i had that, i ended up having to put a hyphen it, worked okay then
im still playing around with it
if you manage to master it, tag or dm me 😛
I'm being stupid liberal with the downthumb
The existence of trans people is not R rated
@final hazel Are we just going to keep allowing this user to do nothing but interject to launch attacks completely out of context? I'm getting seriously sick of this crybully shit
You are the one who attacked someone for being trans
And i will always confront your bigotry
Nobody asked you
It doesnt matter, when you say bigoted things, I will confront you
you're just pissed off about Line 4 of Verse 2 of This Ol' Clown World, and now you're making it your mission to bully me off this server, no matter what it takes
You post bigoted things on here regularly, which you are not allowed to do
And I will always confront bigotry
crying out in pain as you strike me... Every Single Time
You arent the victim honey
and you can knock that condescending shit off too
No
you're being an absolute jackass, and gotten too damned comfortable sitting behind a computer screen
true, the existence of trans people is nothing adult rated. but i will concede that the "call for unrestricted and unregulated access to life-altering medication" might be something you'd not say to anyone absolutely unfiltered.
You're being a bigot, and I will always confront your bigotry
This person has a history of bigotry on this server. He has expressed his hatred of LGBT people numerous times
I stand against degeneracy
You are a bigot. There is nothing degenerate about being trans or gay.
There is a lot degenerate about being a bigot though
I don't care about your communist duck-talk, you know that, right?
And you dont know what communism even is.
I know 100% what it is
You dont
far better than you ever could
Yeah, you dont at all
you know the propaganda
the two of you discussing when it's obvious that there will never be the tiniest bit of consensus between you seems like an inefficient use of internet traffic.
This isnt really a discussion, he posts bigoted things here all the time. I wont sit idly by and watch that
he decided to get all butthurt about something hours ago
and can't let it go, like a dog on a bone
If you post bigoted things, you will be confronted on it
It's easy, dont post bigoted things
hell, I bet he's even got some notification to know when I'm here so he can just jump on and attack
Honey, no one cares about you that much
I told you before. You don't get to call me anything remotely like that
I think I do
Guys, please stop.
now, YOU leave me the hell alone
YOU stop posting bigoted things
YOU aren't a mod, so quit trying to backseat
I'm a person, and all people should confront bigotry whenever they see it. And I will
@charred merlin All I'm asking, is you go back and see where it started, and more importantly, who starts
I'm not going to sit here and just take attacks, but I'm not going around picking anything either
I recognize it's heated, and don't expect anything can be said to "fix" it, but seriously, we can take some time to breathe.
Both sides, please -- the conversation clearly needs to happen, but lets step into the backroom and let the rest of these fine folks keep enjoying the jukebox ❤️
Dub-Reggae was EXACTLY what I needed to start my day 😄
I have a feeling like the karaoke lyrics from the Suno-generated videos roughly detect the vocal pattern when generating, but it's easy enough for it to get out of sync.
You MIGHT be able to correct the pauses and spacing through editing the displayed lyrics & regenerating video, but I'm always going to give a shout to the incomparable @mystic flume -- she makes her own lyric videos 😄
one big problem seems to be that the amount of lyrics is insufficient for the amount of song time the AI generated and so the ai picks different parts of the lyrics and reuses them.
Exactly, it's a waste of credits since that swirl reverb is present in every track. Suno needs to fix it asap!!!
Absolutely. Will probably cancel my subscription until it gets better.
The closer I get to maxing out the lyrics field, the more I find Suno starts to introduce "hallucinations" --
Perhaps you could go back over some of the earlier, incorrect sections & use Extend to replace the verses, building off your songs that way & using "get whole song" every extension or two to "lock things in place".
Alternatively, generating the first half of the song & extending later can also help with lyrical adherence, as you're feeding Suno less to "get confused about"
(fewer lyrics doesn't mean 1:1 adherence though, Suno still vibes however the hell she wants to 😂)
yes, too much lyrics introduce hallucinations too. there is a sweet spot of lyrics amount where suno is most reliable.
i dont think i will be able to recreate the song with the method of extending a part. if all i need is a lyric video, i think the best method is accept suno's limittations and make my own lyric video as you suggested
If I may: For an initial generation, use as much of the lyric box as you need and see what Suno does. If the song is too fast, for instance, then pull out the last few sections (a verse and a chorus or whatever) until you get the tempo you want. Let Suno noodle in the empty space (sometimes you get cool stuff). Next, add the sections you removed back in with an extension at the appropriate timecode. For Extensions, keep your character count below 1200 in the text box. Because of the 2 minute limit, anything more than that will have Suno scrambling to fit it in. Continue until you get all the lyrics done in a way that satisfies you.
There's plenty of ways to refine it after that, but this is a good general methodology.
If you don't have enough lyrics, that's okay too. If Suno isn't ending where you want, extend from just before you want it to end and try to convince it to end there. May take a couple tries, but there are a couple tried and true ways to accomplish that.
sometimes you get cool stuff)
can confirm, one time suno hallucinated an absolutely amazing reprise
Or, and maybe people don't know this, if Suno does a bunch of noodling on an extension that you don't like, but then does put in a good ending at the end... you can crop that ending out and then "Get Full Song" and it'll weld that ending onto the original generation perfectly.
My best stuff has come from hallucinations
Lately I've been cropping out the good guitar riffs and using them to write entirely new songs.
It doesnt leave a seem? It creates a transition between the parts?
I think she's referring to cropping out a guitar riff (~15s), and extending from that to build a new song
SoundCloud have told me to bring proof of rights of my song. How can I get the license or documentation?
I'm sure it depends. I haven't tested it a bunch, just a couple times and it worked well.
No, I was talking about doing an extension to get an ending, but the extension has a lot of fluff before a good ending, then cropping out just the ending and doing a "Get Full Song" and it'll stick just the cropped part back onto the original.
I can't vouch for the reliability of the method, but it does "work" technically, meaning you can Get Full song with a cropped extension. Even if the beginning of the extension is what's cropped out.
You can also, by the way, Replace Section on uploaded clips if you'd rather not rely on doing a Cover first.
There isn't any documentation or license -- you just present the receipt that shows you had a paid membership for the time the song was made, and send them your original suno generations used to make the song
Make a PDF copy of the current TOS, and also of your payment receipt. I'd also suggest saving a screenshot of the initial song generation and subsequent ones that shows the date of creation if you're super concerned about it.
How many words/characters max is best for each meta tag in your song box?
I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I've seen several people say Soundcloud doesn't allow AI generated music or songs.
The minimum necessary to convey the instruction.
They're most effective with 1~3 words, any more than that & the chance of them being read as lyrics increases
So if I need my song sang in a very specific style, I should do "×" amount of short meta tags?
Example I'm doing a custom version of "Do You Hear What I Hear". But I can't get the vocals to sing with the proper flow/structure of the classic. So I'm trying to use meta tags to help it.
https://www.suno.wiki/faq/metatags/
While they don't always work as explicit instructions, they can help give localized style prompts
Are you trying to get the same melody as the traditional song? Or just get a good vibe from an original melody?
I ask only in that you have often uploaded audio, and suno general picks up on the audio melody. Hmmmm... can you adjust extends a second or two either way to get suno to skip or add a beat? And of course, find a better arrangement of lyrics on the page to force pauses and pushes as you think will work. Spelling words together, combining two lines into one or splitting lines up, and so on.
The same or as close as possible
Yup, There are only a select few that are not surprisingly. I thought Sleigh Ride was public domain as it was classic. But Suno said no, no, no that's copyrighted. I have gotten a bunch to work right, but this one ugh. I even tried to get help with prompts from ChatGPT and it gave me multiple prompts in the form of sentences. Suno will just read those since they're to long for a simple Suno meta tag.

Oh wow! Thanks that could help a lot
Well, you have to manually play the traditional melody into audio.
Yup, got a 34 sec clip uploaded, just the instrumental though. So like Bing Crosby or anyone else's voice is not on it.
You can sing Scarborough Fair, but if you play Simon and Garfunkels version ( or do a cover of their version) then that's an issue. 😄
Wait that said Sleigh Ride is public, so then why if I only tried to upload the instrumental (from multiple sources) did it get flagged by Suno?
Ok. TMI. Just think of trying to trip Suno up by slightly extending a sec or two. Or re-arrange the lyrics on the page.
Still under copyright
Oh yup I went back and looked, I thought that whole list was PD then seen the little symbols above them.
Traditional.> silent night, greensleeves, jingle bells.. not 40s classics... haha..
I'm more shocked than anything to find out that Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer isn't public domain.
I could have sworn our father's grandfathers sang that as a lullaby.
Get your churches Christmas hymnal. That will help. 😇
There we're a few in there I thought would have been PD by this point in time
Of course ded, you still gotta write at least one original xmas tune for the album. All respectable artists do.
A great way to check status of stuff: https://www.pdinfo.com/

Don't give them money though. Search for the song name plus author and songsheet and search for the PDF. If you can find one with a date before 1928 you're good.
Just look out for modern variations!
Each time someone alters the words it can create a new copyright.
There are a lot of old songs that people only remember the 'modern' version of.
I remember when it first came out. It was split opinions, and many simply despised it's rudeness and non-traditional vibe.
Of course Ray Steven's, The Streak came out 5 years earlier, but hey we can't credit the public with having good taste or good opinions. Lol
I have 1 original done and a portion of another, my original plan was 22 tracks. 15 parodies, 1 original at the beginning; middle and end. They would each follow after the Intro; Interlude and right before the Outro with an extra (hidden/bonus back in the day) track that is a play off on and instrumental.
You da man. Sounds like a plan.
Unless you're female... then ummm.. you da woman!
Yeah but I might have to go to EasySong and buy some cover permissions
To cover Sleigh Bells is $20
Bear in mind that having rights to use the songs elsewhere doesn't necessarily mean you're allowed to use them in Suno -- "exclusive ownership" and whatnot
I'm saying this rhetorically: what's a "cover permission" ?
You mean you get a documentation of a mechanical license? Something to give to Suno, distributors, ASCAP/BMI?
Yea.... what he said. 😇
I'm ASCAP, so I can cover any ASCAP song at a bar. But still can't sing the same cover into Suno.
how can I get Replace Section to to fix lyrics in my Bridge without messing with the melody?
That's what I'm reading, I've been e-mailing back and forth with Suno as well. They are working on a way to get it to where we can e-mail licenses and then have permission to use said song on your account only.
it seriously screws with it... and I can't have that
Yeah, when you submit your songs to your distribution partner, you need to declare who owns what -- if the song is written by someone else, you need to prove that you have the rights to use the song.
I've seen a lot of Distribution Partners handle that end for you -- you just submit the song, let them know who you covered & they bill you ~$15 for the rights to the song
Cool. Yea... presently even a mechanical license in hand doesn't technically get past the TOS requirements.
But anyway... keeping it seasonal... I guess I should throw in a Halloween song. One of those cute broadway musicalish novelty ones.
I'm guessing once they get whatever they're talking about ironed out it will adjust the TOS because it will be something new. So you could get a license from say EasySong then e-mail to Suno and I'm guessing that would somehow get added to your account in someway showing you have rights to use it. Which should at that point when the TOS is updated by within the TOS rules and acceptable.
Yeah I've been trying to get a cool little Halloween song going as well.
Fingers crossed.
I did a cover of Jingle Bells called "Castin Spells" for Halloween
A parody. Yea. Cool. Folks like those.
Did that scare ya. BOO!!!
😱
I better delete before anyone gets stupid ideas.
I just realized. I'm not sure I've ever sang a cover in a bar. I've written my own songs for years. No one complains so far. But yea. People like covers. They should be at least 40% of your set, for most, typically. Always good to know about 200 popular songs. Like Hit the Road Jack, that's a common request. Ok. I'm rambling.
I've wrote a ton of parodies of songs, unfortunately many can't be recorded without paying something 🤔 might need to start up a Kickstarter now that Suno is getting better. After they do whatever their doing with what we talked about above. I've parodied many Christmas songs into Halloween songs. When I stand around at work listening to music I tend to think up new lyrics non stop
Those last couple you posted seem pretty clever. Keep it up you're good
You'll be the sunomeistsr of parody
The suno-nator
The dreaded triple threated dedhead
i'm using to much credits today just because, it doesn't give me a Female vocal...
Anyways gotta get back to it, time to make a different song and scratch what ai was making since Do You Hear What I Hear is Copyrighted. Later.
Yea. I toggle the self-destruct button on many of my comments. Why waste discord space and have it scroll to oblivion.
Well... ya can't beat Perry Como's version anyways.
I'm tired of it
1000 credit to change to female, it's stull doesn't. I wasn't like that before. Something has changed
Yea. I get lucky sometimes. But seems there not yet a good solution.
...and here I get a vocalist swap as a side effect of a cover :/
I don’t think the issue is whether or not Suno understands you have the right to it, in the ToS Agreement popup you click on, you agree that you have “exclusive rights” to the track, meaning nobody else is able to use them.
It seems like unless you’re the only person in the world who is allowed to use a track as an upload or lyrics, they don’t want you using it.
Public Domain lyrics are admittedly a grey area, as it seems like the ToS would also prohibit those, but I mean, who would make the first move to take something like that down? Seems safe 🤷♂️
I swear... I'm gonna start downvoting every replacement section that refuses to adhere to the melody that was there
Public Domain = "you have rights to use," correct?
Public domain = copyright has expired, or is considered Traditionally Protected
yes, but that gives everyone the right to use it
anyway... I basically have to Replace the whole of my Bridge to work the lyrics changes in... how do I ensure it follows the old melody?
it's currently absolutely refusing to do so
To use that particular piece, yes, so long as what the source you are using from is not copyrighted.
For example, you may not be able to use a rendition of the musical piece (e.g. MP3 file) if that audio is still under copyright . You will have no issue if you made your own copy or derivative of the initial music if the original piece is in the public domain.
Similarly, you likely cannot use a cover or a derivative of a public domain song (such as the modified cover lyrics) if the derivative is still under its own copyright, but you can make your own derivative or use the original lyrics of the public domain song.
Mind you, I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice, do your own research or consult an expert in the field, etc.
Now when they get whatever is done they can update the TOS where you have to accept the new rules i.e. saying that you have permission (not just exclusive rights) for a song, would that change how it could play out?
okay... Replace Section sucks if I can't even get what I got out of a cover...
getting sick of it deciding it has to completely redo the melody of this section
how do i get it to respect the original, FGS? This really shouldn't be too difficult, right?!
Yes, you have the right to use a public domain song, except where you’ve agreed to terms of service that would prohibit using such content.
If I ask you to give me handsqueezed orange juice and you buy it from the store, that’s acceptable. But if you agree to terms that say “you must only use orange juice you’ve personally squeezed”, it doesn’t matter whether the stuff in the store is available for everyone, because that’s not what we all agreed upon in the ToS.
pretty sure the TOS popup had that phrase in it, if I remember right
It’s in the pinned comments
ah
exclusive is the key word
I saw it about 2 seconds before you posted
so I did not recall correctly
Yeah, getting a license to another artists work covers you everywhere else, but Suno is specifically asking that you’re the only person able to use the clip — makes it easier to ensure that the outputs are unique if the inputs are kept unique (similar prompting methods notwithstanding)
That is indeed what the thumbs down button is for.
Especially during the beta phase for new features — best way to make short-term impact is by voting 💪
and I can be absolutely rigid with it, right?
zero melodic deviation, only replaced lyrics?
what about style box? Any tips there? Does it even have any influence?
how do I tell it it's getting closer without saying it's there?
Yes. I have achieved this. Swapped individual words and even added a whole new verse.
but my question is... how? How do you get it to leave the original melody alone, but swap in the new stuff?
It did require editing in post. But it's just like any other extension. Did you watch the tutorial video linked in announcements?
I watched it, but it was just about useless
it didn't even show the example being played, and I know why, because it would've been completely different
Just remember as with all things Suno it's a crapshoot. You can mitigate that to some extent, but not in some universally reliable way.
If the goal is a great song you're better off extending and editing outside Suno. You can always upload the finished product and cover it. Works pretty well.
so how do I do even that?!?!?! Something... anything
but nobody wants to bother giving even the first damned hint
meanwhile, I'm just sitting here pressing the button over and over like a damned monkey at a typewriter...
or even what to look for in general to help train it with thumbs up/down/no vote?
It's closed-sourced -- the only way you can currently "train it" is through the RLHF they're letting you do by voting songs up or down, so they know how to improve future versions.
As listed in the #📢┃announcements post, you can give feedback about the feature at https://sunomusic.typeform.com/to/D9VQkHr5
Turn data collection into an experience with Typeform. Create beautiful online forms, surveys, quizzes, and so much more. Try it for FREE.
well, yeah... how about tips on how to do that effectively? The voting thing
About how to click the thumbs up or thumbs down effectively?
yes... what should I be looking for and tolerating in either direction before the blanket "no"?
You can downvote everything you want, but it doesn't give immediate feedback -- you're providing data that they use later.
oh
so what about changing vote?
giving and then retracting a thumb. what does that say?
I mean, I notice it seems like it's a lot closer than it was earlier, but still just off enough to not use
tbh, this is speculation, but I don't think they keep track of how often you swap -- but the less consistent you are with your ratings, the less impactful your vote will be -- not in an exclusionary way, but just in the fact that you're not providing "clean data" for any algorithms to work with.
so, what, just flat "no, no, no" until I get what I'm after?
and what does a non-vote say?
what does a non-vote say
It says nothing about that song, and the track isn't given any special consideration when training future models.
Well. You're right. I stuck my foot in my mouth on that one. It does said the one must have exclusive rights to and not just permissive rights by public domain. Dang I hate when I get things wrong. No wonder people throw me under the bus. I'm a good target.
We can play in the pool as long as we don't p in the water. Got it.
okay... so how close should it be before I give it the thumb up? Dead-on only?
Downvoting shouldn't be used to try to get short-term changes to the system, but it helps improve future versions -- possibly a year or more, if it needs to be. But it still provides helpful feedback.
and of course, ones that decide to go completely off the rails gets bugged
In the mean time, experiment & approach Suno with a sense of Play and try to learn something from each "failure", downvoting the times when it really goes offtrack, and upvoting the times when it surpasses your expectations
see... that's the thing. I usually used to use down thumbs to dismiss them from the panel to keep clutter down
We need a non-vote 'dismiss' button somewhere
...that's intended use?
Downvoting removes them from the "create" page, but they stay in the library. Create is only a single page long anyway, so it only helps with recent clutter, really.
we need better mass removal tools, honestly
Either way, I wouldn't be too worried about the weight of any unintended downvotes, a single erroneous vote won't be enough to sway anything, especially if you're actively & intentionally voting elsewhere.
I'm not gonna use many of these failed gens, so a quicker way to funnel them to Trash is probably best
I downvote just to clear the clutter of what I don't want. Same. It may be a great production. Just not for me. Then I delete later what I downvote. And then clean the trash when I have time.
I'd love better search features as it is, but you can select multiple songs on the same page to send to trash, at least.
:/
Don't let it fool ya. You're just I'll just relying on randomness. If your approach isn't working, try changing it.
so what about it getting closer to what I'm going for?
Right. I batch select the thumbsdown songs. Easier than guessing or pre-listening
I mean, I'm not sure what other method there is
I can't reliably pick out smaller edits
As in your prompt, wording, timecode choice. Be flexible.
Thumb up means good for something. No thumbs means listen again for a variation song or new seed. Thumbsdown say go to library and delete later.
and I'm already at a 10-second section, so I can't change any less
Not less. Just different. What are you working on? Changing a few words?
a line and a couple words in other lines
problem is, there's no other Bridge, so there's no other reference for it
Are you sure extending isn't a better choice?
nah
that changes it up too
the idea is to keep the same melody, which a Cover of all things managed to do while making the exact same changes I'm trying to make now
(the Cover gave female vocals, and I'm trying to make a male version)
One method that's always worked well for me is to extend from right after the verse or chorus I wanna change, and do the same verse again but call it [Verse 2 Reprise] or whatever, and it'll give me a new version but using the same melody. Almost always works. But then you have to edit it together yourself outside of Suno. Way better than just hitting the button over and over on some cases.
Likewise, with section replace perhaps you can go right after the verse in question and add a new one.
I got the Verse 1 changes done
In general, the people who seem to have the hardest time with Suno are trying to fight it rather than work with it. From what I've seen. It's a collaboration.
I know... Suno gave me great results already... I want to do that again
I don't know why it's not grabbing the original melody of the lyrics though... you'd think that influence would be strong, right?
does it help to cut the lyrics box down to the start and end of the edited section, and then adjust the selection on the right side to match?
that kind of info would be useful
shame I can't have it cover the femvox version to replace the section
or just have it cover itself too
"you want strict adherence? Combine with cover"
anyway, now I'm trying it with just the beginning and end of what I'm changing in the Lyrics box, and shortening the right-side selection
I find video generator on Suno struggling with Arabic font especially when mixed with other languages
okay... what about the style box? Anything to try there?
my issue is it's not coming out as melodic as it originally was
it's always just kinda mid-range, and flat
so, I tried "master recording, melodic", and it seems to be a lot closer now
I've been playing around with some tracks, it is super hard to properly draw words out. Like "best" and "got" Suno just tries to make a whole word instead of the drawn out version of it i.e "beeest" or "goot". Any suggestions?
use sound words for the Suno A.I. to say it
for example ebb and flow, it spells E B B instead I type "ebu" and it says it perfectly
Here is the problem. Sorry I degraded the quality for Discord limit.
I find video generator on Suno struggling with Arabic font especially when mixed with other languages
I'm just getting irritated... :/
Out of curiosity, does the text render properly when you only use arabic?
I am not sure if It does in the new Suno video but It was working when I used only Arabic in the old Suno video.
Not so much struggling as the encoding system that Suno's video pipeline uses does not support Arabic characters (and likely other characters as well). You can suggest it to #💡┃suggestions-web to adjust the video encoder
Yeah, the website can display it properly, but whatever font they use for the video doesn't support arabic characters
yeah... it's stuck on this stupid flat melody when it had a lot more range before
it's just garbage
glad it don't cost credits right now. The second it does, I'm leaving it alone
I'm backing the start up a couple seconds... but I bet that'll make it even worse
yep! Not even close now
this is utterly useless until we get better control over it
fine.... metatagging time. Let;s see if that works
Anything you put in the Lyrics Box is going to be treated as "new lyrics" despite the implication that it will know the difference between the old lyrics and any changes you make. Figuring that out was a big key toward understanding how to work with it.
so what can I do in order to get it to keep the melody?
nudging it in that direction
It's impossible for me to know without knowing all the details. I can only offer suggestions on how to better understand how it works (not that I'm an expert).
it refuses to descend in one line where it did before
I don't know what that means.
if I can get it to do that, then it should come out well
the vocals stay level in pitch
rather than singing descending notes in one line
Is the word you're changing inside that set of descending words?
Nevermind I just used the crooner meta tag and bingo
no. It's not a changed line, but it's within the edited section
so now I'm trying to metatag the line so it gets directed to have the vocal melody descend in pitch during that line
I'm keeping one unchanged word buffer to encapsulate the edited lyrics
Oh this is you? Sorry I can't help you out any more after that little tirade.
...so you're gonna try and attack me at every turn and get me shut up in any way possible too, right?
go ahead, I'm used to it
anybody else having issues rn? my suno is just generating 4 second long instrumentals and refunding
No issues on my end, but are you making initial generations or extensions?
I find that extensions can do that if you're extending from the end of a song with just silence.
Initial generations, not extensions
anything I prompt or try to create results in 4 seconds and refunded credits
tried 10x times with diff prompts, all instrumentals
Do you have an example that we can look at, in case there's anything that can be suggested to help?
can someone tell me what genre is this?
sounds like a drake beat tbh
i kinda hear it lol
I could totally see Drake going crazy all over this
wish i had the original link to this :/
reverse image search the screenshot maybe
i made this few months ago in v2
and idk if its public
Unfortunately, the cover function has not yet improved. Easily 80-90% failures, 1:1 copy of the original
Hrm, that’s really odd.
I just tried one of those prompts and got 2 full length v3.5 songs — I feel like it might have just been a temporary glitch, but if the issues persist I might suggest emailing support@suno.com with the song links and that screenshot so they could investigate 💪
thanks will do
yeah... I'm out of patience, and out of time to keep messing with this stupid replace section thing
thankful it's not costing credits. Unless it gets a lot better, the credit usage currently is fine
Got my crooner voice, but I need a deep voice that stays deep. And using "deep male crooner" and "low male crooner" doesn't do it. The vocals raise up still. Anybody have any good tags that keeps a vocal deep/low instead of high or medium?
Question for those working with the "replace section" this afternoon, is anyone else having issues when trying to fuse their edited sections with the main track? I have a song that should come out at 3:55, but sometimes it cuts down to 2:10 taking out the entire initial section of the song. It`s been like that for almost 2 hours now.
The "make same length as selection" feature also seems to be highly buggy right now. Sometimes I get over a minute of additional audio when I haven`t asked for it.
I sometimes use Tenor voice or Baritone voice. It may help to do the song in shorter sections and put it together with "get whole song". For the Crooner effect I use 1940s/1950s Swing or Big Band if it helps. Sometimes combined with Swing Boogie-Woogie or Jazz (Adult Contemporary may work, too).
It's very wonky. I've found it most useful for removing spoken sections from my "live" songs, but leaving the backing music unaffected.
Hey i cant login to suno using my discord data. If i click it redirects me to a page which isnt ever loading? is that a common problem or somthing anyone knows a solution for? ;D
On https://www.Suno.com/account they say to reach out to billing@suno.com for Discord account linking issues
Had the same problem. It got stuck on a loop. I tried again and again. After changing the browser, finally I could get in. Took me forever, today. 😁
Can anyone give me tips on how to get Suno to stop forcing a genre for my song no matter what. I am trying to make a power metal song and it keeps turning it into death metal instead. I excluding any genres with death growls and it still does it no matter what 😔
Hi guys. Question if I may…Wrote some lyrics and created song for a project. Now one of the 3 people mentioned in the song has left the project. We love the music itself and am wondering if there is any way to keep the exact music track but just get that persons name out of it or change the lyrics there? Anything we can do to keep the exact music.
Thank you for any help with this.
I don't see this anywhere in SoundCloud's terms of use. Interesting.
This. Replace is cutting off the front of the song in some cases. I did about 3 or 4 replaces to a song just fine, but when I did the 5th one it kept shortening it. I noticed that when I selected that 5th section of the song, it was showing more lyrics in the selection than were actually in the sound clip. What I think is happening is that it thinks the clip you're selecting is longer than it actually is.
Because it's AI, I find it's also dependent on the words you use in the song. So, if you use wording that 'seems' more fitting to death metal, then it will tend to lean towards that. I know, it makes it tricky, but you can maybe try "speed metal" as an alternative if you want to maintain those words. I would suggest just trying different genres.
Not sure if the AI knows the difference. Perhaps you can add 1980s? The genre seems to have been created back then. I didn't know it. Maybe Speed Metal? 🤔 Not quite my genre. If I want something more powerful, I go for Alternative Metal.
Try using the new Replace function they just added. You can target that specific section with the name and change the words.
You know, I'm so glad you said that because I remember seeing something about that written somewhere and I went back on updates and I couldn't find it.And I thought I was imagining it.Do you happen to remember where those instructions were so that I could try it?
I believe the interface is browser only.. so, you may have to access it on a desktop or laptop. In the "Edit" menu you will find "Replace Section".
hi
OK, that will help.I actually access everything from a cell phone as I don't have a computer handy but I can request the desktop site on the browser. That's how I found stems when I couldn't find it in the app itself, even though frankly stems didn't help as I don't know what the heck I'm doing with that LOL, but I will try this. Thank you so much!!!
Haha, no problem. You may want to use Stems some day if you want to master your vocals differently from your instruments (in other software.) It just splits vocals from instruments 🙂
Well, I'll tell you I will be gifted a friends old gaming computer this next year and once I get it, this is going to be one of the apps I'm going to try to learn everything about because I've always wanted to be able to edit my own vocals and do all the really cool stuff all of you super smart folks on here already know how to do with all kinds of software!
1-select tone
2-Chord progression
3-Import or Record Melody
if you could improve this i think could be perfect
Yay thank you!!! Such good humans on here I love that!!!
I noticed it happening every time when trying to replace anything beyond 2:00
It might be useful for a single word change here and there, but if you need to fix an entire line, good luck, especially if you had any vocal melody you actually liked.
This always happens at night
Hey @daring lava, haven't seen you online for a while; brought a smile to my face to see your name pop up -- hope all is well on your end

I don't know if you got a good answer, but I wanted to subscribe today and all the cards I tried were all declined for various reasons. One of which was an invalid ccv, though it was the one on the card. I sent an email to the suno billing email, awaiting an answer.
Awwww thanks @charred merlin! Glad to be back that's for sure! All is well here 💪 Hopefully for you too!

can someone explain, when using v3 would be the better choice than v3.5? I noticed that the newer model does sometimes sound more... happy? (much lighter than it should be especially in comparison to v3. Does anyone of you have a workflow combining both models?
My main use for v3 is what I call 'the v3 chop', where you get a song to end smoothly by Extending from the point where a song tries to end, but gets resurrected by v3.5
oh, I use v2 sometimes for this as it would much rather happen to be shorter than the other ones. But since crop exists, I would only use it in case of a better fade out if needed
true, and Crop doesn't cost any credits
but, if that ending doesn't go silent, then that's where the chop comes in useful
I agree, but you do not use it aside from that? only 3.5 right?
right
I have more room to work with in the inputs, and it tends to have better melodies
It says in the dropdown when selecting the models, v3 is more versatile and is able to generate a broader range of styles -- without effective use of prompting, or a strong tune to "hook onto" when extending, v3.5 tends to drift toward more generic sounding music, imho
3.5 makes you be a better lyrics writer, IMO
Normally when I start work on a new song, I generate both v3 and v3.5, and extend from my favourite with v3.5 to tighten the musical structure
yes! I guess there is more to it. Would you go so far and say v3 is indeed a bit better to be more non-generic? Sadly the 2min limit is a big minus (yes, I know extend and good but sometimes you want the finish product without much interference)
If I find that the style prompts aren't being respected, or the song sounds too poppy, I swap to v3 and it's at least a notable difference in how the style prompts are interpretted, for better or worse
I never use the lyrics generator tbh it's much better to do it yourself or get a bit of help to refine them with other ais
v3 is better to be less generic?
100%
even if v3 is more 'versatile'... is it more consistent? Or is it prone to wild swings in melody and style?
Both have strengths and weaknesses, it's a matter of feeling out which is better for whatever use case you have at the time.
it's also a bit better controallable despite the text "better song structure" as in my little expeience with it, it did follow it more. Maybe because v3.5 tries to be out of the order to be less generic, yet soundwise be the opposite ^^ Thankfully we can use both
that alone should make it clear that the Suno team sees a difference as well, otherwise they would have just switched it ^^
I'll ask a bit more about that after I get back from work
Here's a post from one of the devs regarding how each model should be viewed as it's own separate product
I wanna learn as much as I can to get the best bangers possible
do you think @graceful cliff also admitted by "[...]I'd treat each model as a newborn kid. You would teach and grow each kid similarly but also differently [...]" that the models do learn by our own inputs for us (meaning we are training personalized models), to get more individual results? Or am reading to much into it 😄 tbf I do not know if Suno is keeping this a secret or if it is known, I don't^^
Anyone have any suggestions other than [fade-out] [fade] [instrumental fade] [quiet] that might just make the music calm down a bit?
Trying to extend INTO a bridge that I want quieter than the main brunt of the song, and it keeps BUILDING, so the vocals of my bridge are barely heard.
I would try these prompts with other models as mentioned above. Sometimes Fade out and three dots after helps
That's reading too much into it -- Suno isn't individualized, and everyone uses the same model 🙏
try Interlude instead of Bridge, maybe Decresendo can also add to the desired effect as tag
LoL - well it did get a touch quieter adding the "..." after [fade-out] but it ignored the bridge and sang the second chorus again. My luck is awesome.
I oft laugh at my luck with generations. It's either a banger (to me) in the first go, or I burn through nearly 250 credits trying to get my extensions to not repeat the lines that came before by moving my time in one second intervals back or forward to try finding that sweet spot to extend from.
My current battle is trying to get a slightly quieter bridge section with spoken word. If it DOES speak the words, the music far overpowers it. If the music quiets down, it sings the second chorus. Back and forth, back and forth.
sorry, to hear. Sometimes doing multiple versions to see the one you like is the only way imho there are probably a lot more things you could try, like no Fade out tag only the "..." and than Bridge or write in the music style the description fro what you want in a promt like structure as well for that part. Other things coming to mind is enhancing the tag like "[Smooth Vocal Transition] [Quieter Bridge] [Clear Vocals] [Dynamic Shift] [Intimate Atmosphere] [Minimalist Instrumentation] [Subtle Build-up]" etc etc
Eh... I got something I am... content... with for now. I got the music to fade to just a drum beat, the bridge to be spoken, despite the "vocalist" deciding she was going to progressively get louder with each line until she yelled the last one. I'll take it for now, and likely fight with it at a later date when my rage subsides.
how do i enter a specific chord progression i want? anyone help?
Suno tends to go from the specific to the general. So it seems chord progressions would throw it out of its trajectory of outputting general varied nuances of a specific style... or chord progression. The mere request of a specific patterned-chord output begs to generate another random but appropriate progression befitting the style prompts.
Is V4 coming soon
No problem, this is the place to go to ask for help!
I referred a friend who's made more than 10 songs by now, and I don't see the referral credits anywhere. Is this bugged?
OK scrap that--it now made a bazillion versions for every time I pressed the button. Uh, I think it really needs some kind of indication it worked 😳
Can anyone tell me with the section replace, I did it one (ie pressed confirm and it replaced it), then I decided on a different version--but when I click the Confirm button in the library--nothing happens? Is that normal? (Confirm Section doesn't do anything either)
Tell me, is there any option to make a line a backing vocal to the previous one? Like so that line (2) starts while line (1) is going on?
I've had some success with brackets around the second line and putting it under the first in the lyrics field but it's honestly kind of hit or miss

Seems i ran into a wall head first?
I keep getting a System Error when trying to Generate anything?
It keeps saying this, when trying to Generate something:
An Error Has Occurred.
A System Error has occurred.
Any thoughts?
could someone explain to me how extend work now ? because it's seem to be very different. It keep going back around 30seconds before where i want.
Have you noticed that the quality of music has deteriorated lately? Or not?
no but i've noticed that extend now is very problematics, cause, i spent to much credit on it. ( more then 2K)
"Extend" works poorly. I constantly send a bug report.
It wasn't like this 3 weeks ago
I think that's the reason, they put the " Crop" thing
"Crop" for Pro users. I'm finishing a song in third-party audio editors from several parts
i can’t for the life of me get suno to create a rap beat. i’m trying to aim for the “2016-2018 rap era” but it generates me piano music instead. what im i doing wrong??
try rap 2016's
Try 2010s instead. "2016-2018" rap era" is too specific
To help clarify, from saying the extends arent working... Id like to ask regarding what others have suggested previously:
-
First, how exactly does it appear to go back 30 second earlier. So, if you set Extend to start at [02:37] , it starts at or around [02:07] instead? Is it a dead even 30 seconds each time or just an "earlier" time point, each time?
-
To be clear, you are NOT saying that it throws in audio from 30 seconds back and THEN does your prompt response, but literally shortens the audio by 30 seconds first, but does your prompt response as requested.
-
can you repeat the problem, by performing known actions that get the same results, to document for sending to support?
-
After an extend, can you click CREATE and scroll down to see if the time point had actually changed, for instance, to [2:07] , or in other words, actually puysically set itself back 30 seconds from where you had set it as proof that it's an app problem? Or does it just happens extend cuts in earlier - about 30 seconds-- even though the timepoint still shows the time , say, [2:37], you had set.
-
Can you/have you cleared any cache, clear the CREATE window, refreshed/ changed browsers and even restarted computer if not done previously to see if there is a difference or improvement.
-
Are you working on a desktop or mobile?
Have you changed browsers to see if that affects anything. -
Does the extend problem occur immediately on all extends, or mostly on later ones, say, Part 4s or after, where a few minutes have already been built?
-
Do you always extend extensions or have you clicked Get Whole Song and tried then extending from the Full song version? If so, is the problem the same.
-
Is the problem consistent? Never a good extend, but always comes in earlier than requested, by the time point you set?
-
What happens if u extend, as a test, at 00:10. It creates a new song starting at 00:01, or does it extend properly at the 00:10 spot?
Before talking to support, or to get a clearer understanding so that one of us may help, These are good questions, if you can answer. Also, take screenshots to help document the issue.
The "known" of this is apparently suno is ignoring your prompt, as it tend to go to piano if it doesn't know or doesn't accept what you're prompting for.
As.suggested, try something like "... rap, 2017, ...." in your styles and [spoken: rap] or [rap] in your metatags in the lyrics box.
Words typed in a long line or continuous form get a better response to be rapped or spoken than individual lines of say, 6 to 12 syllables where suno tries to sing as a verse.
If sung. You can even put periods or full stop marks, " . " between some of the words to force a more staccato effect and help suno understand it's a rap.
I'll try to do it. ( but what i've noticed, there's more chance (still few) to extend if i get the whole song and put a instrumental get whole song and extend from it.
But the problem of this " solution ", is that the decreasing quality might appears sooner.
Hey guys, does anyone know how to create the sound of fans cheering like in a football stadium, where everyone is chanting a name, using Suno, without any music?
Hello 🙂 do you think that it will soon be possible to separate the different tracks of the songs (Guitare/drum/keyboard...) ?
Well, that's a good indication that one way is working better than the other way. Any known results always helps pinpoint the issue.
Some are finding making a "cover" of the song you presently have might clear up some of the poor quality or distortion. Then continue extending the covered version. It's seems to be a work-around until there are improvements. Maybe a hit or miss solution. We can only try and give our personal opinion.
Again. Answers to those 10 questions can be helpful. And of course. If needed, contact support@suno.com
thank you for your answer.
#💬┃general-chat message Heres an example of crowd response, just posted a few minutes ago.
I think you can try [chant] in the metal tags, or [crowd]: [chant] or variations.
My opinion is suno does better to simple work out on its own what is best. So typing the chant one under the other, is likely a good direction such as:
[Crowd] (suno!)
(Suno!)
(Suno!)
(Suno!)
Importantly, making sure that some style regarding an audience is in your style prompts first. Just putting in metatag in lyrics isn't enough when I try.... so "audience", "crowd", "live audience", " call and response" , any of these is a better start.
Other additions might help such as [crowd: cheer]...
[Clapping].... [applause].... [café] < possibly getting a smaller crowd feel.... [bar].... and putting "beer song" is an unknown suggestion which suno might understand the style as a call and response type song, .....
.at least that's what a "beer song" in Nashville means: a song to get the audience singing and buy more beer.
"Thanks for your great response, my friend, but these sounds are being created with music. How can I let Suno know to create it without background music?
Although there is a stem separation option within the menu for VOICE STEM AND INSTRUMENTAL STEM , so that you can continue to work within Suno , if you're going to work offsite, you can perhaps find more specific stem separations for individual instruments and percussion with 3rd party apps such as Moises.
Be creative, and keep trying.
If you get a sound you really like, try doing a cover and excluding music / instruments.
You can remove vocals from music this way as well, to varying degrees of success.
Morning all. Has anyone had any luck solving the issue with Suno excluding the initial parts of a song when using the "replace" function? From what I read this seems to happen much more frequently when replacing song segments in the later portions of your track.
I haven't a proven answer. What is the total scene of your "song"?
I know, for instance, putting ONLY "stand up comedian" in the styles prompt and often using v3.0 will get only a spoken person telling jokes with a laughing , cheering and applauding audience.
But getting just 2 minutes of an audience chanting,, without any music, I've not heard done yet.
If you can manipuate it to at least occur at the end of a song where the music has ended and the crowd is chanting, then you can crop out the chanting crowd part for your use.
I'm not especially superstitious but why, when i create a cover version, is the new version always timed to ?:13 seconds...... I've created a few covers of my current favourite (3:42 long) just to change 1 line (I can't make anything of the Replace function) and when i do the version is reduced to 3:13 and loses the punchline (another shorter song gets reduced to 2:13 on 'cover)
2:13 is also 133.seconds.... "13"3... another 13! Something eerie is happening.
I feel like SUNO is now consistently doing a 'Base Drop' call (saying Base Drop) instead of just doing the drop in EDM. I am only using [Drop] or [Electronic Synth Base Drop]. Anyone experiencing this.... Also, question, does each version of the model adapt over time to the likes/dislikes, or is it set. I feel like overtimes sometimes the models behave or interpret differently.
While I won’t feel that using metatags like [bass drop] are 100% guaranteed commands, the more words you use in metatags, the more likely they are to be ignored or interpreted as lyrics.
Also, ratings help provide feedback the team can use to improve future versions of the model, but I don’t believe they provide any short-term or personalized changes to Suno.
I'm worried cause I tried to replace just one word and it didn't work and I lose lots of credits for nothing!!!!!!!
Same.
@open magnet Hi, guys please change "replace section" limits... for now it is available only for songs less then 4 minutes. i was making song from different parts, and now when it is ready, but i need to six some lyrics, i can't coz of that limit.
I hope they give the credits back for us the pro users cause it doesn't work. Till this works as it supposes to work should be free like the covers feature
I don't think the Devs like to be directly tagged
Please do not ping the team, @prisma tendon - suggestions should be posted in #💡┃suggestions-web
Feedback for the Replace Section feature can be directed to the following Feedback Form they set up and advertised in the #📢┃announcements post.

This "Asystem error occred" - is this for everybody since yesterday or just some of us? Only "free" or "paid" too? Even trying to make a song public doesn't work even though it said it had...
I've seen this happen for a number of reasons recently -- it might seem like a silly thing, but try swapping to a different model version, like from v3.5 to v3 -- that's resolved a couple relevent incidents recently.
The issue is that the error message is so vaguely worded that it's hard to know what's going wrong -- if you're still getting the error after trying a new model, and perhaps trying a different browser (or a private window?), let us know what all you've tried so we can try to help without suggesting things you've already tested.
Or the more direct method is just asking official support, support@suno.com.
Switching to 2, trying Instrumentals, trying to let Suno surprise me: same system error, same with 3 and still the same with 3.5... gonna try Vivaldi browser...
Same error with another browser...
Okay, sorry to hear that it's still borked, but thanks for responding with the results 💪
While it's likely something small we're overlooking, the most effective resolution at this point would be to email support@suno.com directly, letting them know all of the steps you tried -- this way you're ahead of the game because you have some basic testing stuff they'd likely need to know to give better assistance.
afaik, the support team is active Monday - Friday, American business hours, so it might be a couple days before they get back to you 🙏
just messaged them with all info. but as you said, it's weekend now... oh well... 🙂
I'm the type of person who doesn't like to rest while there's still potential solutions, so I understand how frustrating it can be to sit back and wait.
At least you've taken proactive steps, and your email will be higher in the queue than everyone else who emails between now and Monday morning -- you'll be back making music before you know it 🙂
I suppose one last bit of curiosity to check out, if you try to visit suno.com from a mobile browser on your cellphone, does it still give the same error? If so, it's likely something account-based that they'd need to resolve either way.
No smart phone... 🙂 And tried in normal mode now, because I alway run SUNO in private mode in the browser. SUNO had a chance now to create loads of cookies, but the result ist the same. While they are still there and after I deleted them: System error. Gonna try another Laptop tomorrow, because now we're going to a concert. CU!
My Song’s monetisation was rejected and SoundCloud says that “SoundCloud might reject proof of rights for an AI-generated song due to its automated content ID system. If the system detects a match with a track in its database, it blocks the upload. Also, copyright ownership varies with different AI tools. So, it's crucial to have a license granting monetization rights from the AI platform.”
So can Suno provide a license for my songs?
The comment you're replying to is my answer to the same question you posed previously -- there isn't any documentation or downloadable license that Suno provides per-song.

Towards the end of a song when I want to cut the song after the chorus and add a solo between the chorus and the bridge or rewrite the bridge chorus and the end of the song. Instead it generates 0:30 of incomprehensible content -

Аpproximately 20% of the correct extend, the rest goes to the trash
I always send a bug report for a bad extend

Just started using the Replace feature. question: Can you add lyrics to a song that doesn't have lyrics, by this method? It didn't work for me. Not sure if its not possible, or its just a standard glitch and I should keep trying. We can add lyrics to a cover of just an intstrumental, sometimes after a few tries or making a significant change to the styles prompts. I just didnt' know if Replace did the same.
Covers is for changing the music style but keep the lyrics and most of the rest of the feel and nuance of the song. Granted, if you change the style to OPERA , it can sound completely different.
Great you've done all that. The questions can apply to other situations. These were directed to the member , according to, having the Extend feature literally starting up to :30 seconds BEFORE the time point requested, which was very odd.
Your issues sounds common to what many of us encounter. Good to give a thumbs down on those or send a bug report , as I understand are two best means of bringing attention.
I mean just correcting what it reads under Style after you finalized the song, not for generation.
When you click "Get Full Song", at least, I think it shows the last prompts used on the last generation, but shows the first artwork from the original -- so i can see an interest in changing the prompts to show the original prompts from the original generation. As far as simply changing any of the prompts for the purpose of correcting typos, hiding the prompts so others can't see, or just adding in comments in the prompt section, I dont think that has been considered relevant enough to provide.
and also, I haven't looked in awhile, but I know in the past if you provide a list of prompts , and maybe this was just for v3.0 , but suno will list an abridged or interpolated prompts in the style area after generating - it was as if it was telling us what prompts it was REALLY using and ignoring any of the others we had written in.
Hi, I got a friend to sign up and create 10 songs, how long should I expect to wait for the referral credits?
Yep. It's essentially a non-working feature because A) it absolutely refuses to re-use the original melody (Which Covers do, far, far more effectively), and B) If you try to mess with anything beyond 2:00, when you try to merge it in, it cuts that much time off the front of the song
So far, I could not be that specific in prompts to get more that two voices in one song. If there are three voices, the its just a happy accident.
The only trick would be if somehow you could get a singing duet going, and add two spoken voices for a total of four. If anyone has done that, Id like to hear it.
Does replace section only work with songs originally from v3.5?
Sorry if that has already been answered elsewhere^
Nope! You can use any model 🙂
Awesome. 😎. I had to crop the song to get it under 4 min. I went too fast to see the info note on the replace section, sorry bout that! Thank you for the response
There's usually a difference when denoting [verse], [prechorus], and [chorus], as the chorus usually features the song's motif more prominently, and the pre-chorus acts like a transitional step between the verse and the chorus to help gradually shift.
Similarly, [bridge] notes that it should be a section that contrasts the usual theme somehow
I usually add the caveat that these aren't hard-coded "commands", but suggestions to imply that the upcoming block of lyrics should be interpretted differently, but it's SUPER easy for them to be ignored or overloaded
As for numbered verses, I don't really notice anything -- imho, it's just for organizational purposes.
I mean, I've never outright tested if verse 2 has any noteworthy changes from verse 1, but nothing has ever stood out to me in that way, and I've never had any issues without numbering the verses.
If anything, I've noticed users getting upset that Suno didn't respect the ordering, as in singing verse 3 and skipping verse 2 -- but managing Suno's hallucinations is another topic altogether.
Hi how can i open a ticket for technical support? I don’t want to do it publicly
I’m a pro member
There isn't an official support setup on Discord atm, but you can contact the support team at support@suno.com
afaik -- they're staffed Monday - Friday, US business hours
Are here technical agents?
No -- there isn't an official support setup on Discord -- the community support lead has an account, but reaching out to the support team is the best method at support@suno.com
Otherwise, the discord is for community help, for the large part
Thanks. I have an error message when I tried to rename my songs. I make multilingual songs and it’s annoying to find them or organize by language
That's a new one for me to hear;
- Does it happen with every song, or just a select few?
- Does it happen when trying to rename your songs to something in basic English, like "test"?
(Sorry, just recalled you said you didn't want to do this publicly -- curious habit to want to investigate)
Are you uploading an image as well, or just changing the title?
I start in Spanish, I take some lines and I go on English, so I take from the start and I made a French one
No, I already try to do or to generate again but same error
So I can’t do anything from the edit details section
The error message you shared mentioned uploading an image -- do you get this message when only trying to update the name?
i can’t do anything from the edit menu. I want to make the public but I can’t because of the wrong name
I understand you're not able to do anything from the edit menu.
You see how the error message says "uploaded image size" -- yes? Are you trying to upload an image? Yes or no
I already tried all possibilities
I am unable to help then -- please email support@suno.com and they will surely be able to assist. 🙏
Anyone else not getting referral credits?
you used the special link with your suno name in the link?
mine for instance is https://suno.com/invite/@dasvon by clicking the Invite a Friend link.
The second step is they have to creat 10 songs. Have they done that yet?
And third I guess is to ask if your friend got their 250 credits as well.
They created more than 10, used the link I sent and haven't recieved the credits either
