I had read that wiki but it doesn't say that you can use those tags in the lirycs field (or maybe I didn't understand it), plus I didn't understand what bark and chips are🤔 However, I extended a song adding 30 seconds to the final part and it is now marked "Full song" and it lasts 2.50 sec. I tried to extend it at the beginning with an [intro] tag at 0.01 second but I got 2 segment of 1 minute each (well 4, because I tried 2 times) So it is only possible extend a song at the end, I can't extend the song in the middle or at the beginning and structure the song as I like, like ABBA etc? Just to know.

Did you not understand that "extend" will add up to one minute from the point you choose? If you start at 15 seconds and extend you will get at most... drum roll 1:15. To add more extend again (the new part or the whole song)

Suno Bug? I put a bunch of my songs from my Create page into a Playlist I created to investigate how Playlists work. Later I deleted my playlist and all my songs were gone from my Create and Library page. So I went to the Traash Page and restored all the songs back to the Library. Now only about 20 of those songs are showing up on my Create page, with a lot more songs showing up only on my Library page that are not on my Create page. How do I get all my songs back to my Create page so I can work on them further? They are not finished songs. Some of those songs that I like, I would like to continue to extend those songs, but quite a few are no longer on my Create page now. Is there a reason only some of the songs are showing up on my Create page now, with a lot more showing up only on my Library page?

Your lyrics got censored from ChatGPT not liking something as it is the moderator. Ask OpenAI's ChatGPT itself about "what would censor the following: [content]" and it should tell you.

Usual causes are using swear words or interpreting harmful situations. Even if it worked before, it could be a small change caused its interpretation to become different.

Do you log in by clicking create? If so, that is the cause. Use the sign in menu or by going to the library, avoid hitting create to log in (otherwise it will create the music entry when you log in, using the default randomized prompt if you had nothing filled)

That error means there was something being censored in the lyrics (ChatGPT does the lyric moderation itself).

In this case, it looks like ChatGPT generated a lyric that it had self-censored itself for (not an unusual outcome).

Try adding more description to the what you want to generate, hopefully it will help lead to an uncensored version

Need a menu item to move a song from my Library screen back to my Create screen. My Library screen is showing a lot more of my songs than on my Create screen. I want to work on some of those songs. I reported this yesterday evening. How do I get songs back from my Library screen to start showing up on my Create screen again? Also, I am not really clear why we need both a Create Screen and a Library screen since they normally contain the same list of songs? There is no 'Move to Library' menu item on the Create screen and vice versa, that I have seen?

Suno Devs: Yes, and if you delete the individual songs from your Playlist (to try to get rid of that Playlist) that are your own songs, those songs will be deleted from your Create and Library page. If you then add those songs back to your Library page from the Trash, some of those songs may no longer show up on your Create page. This happened to me yesterday.

I have reported as well that extension quality in the past few weeks or so is often very poor compared to the original song, so much so that getting useable extensions even after many tries can be almost a no go sometimes. I saw no response. The general response seems to be nothing has changed in the Suno model so it must be everyone's imagination, ha ha.

I get poor quality results sometimes, so it's not an imaginary thing. It just hasn't got better/worse over time as is often suggested (because the model is still the same), it's just inconsistent. Once an extension sounds bad, extending that any further will likely inherit the bad quality. So it's more noticeable if you're trying to work for a long time on a particular song that developed the problem.

I've found some new bugs to share with you.

• Some songs are generated with only 10 to 20 seconds (when they should be at least 1 minute long), and it still uses credits (I had to use around 400 credits to run these tests).

• Some musical styles are not recognized or misunderstood (for example, the "Musical Comedy" style is sometimes labeled as "Opera").

• It's impossible to change the musical style within the "suite" of a created song (for instance, impossible to mix electro with a rap section).

• Some instrumental music still contains lyrics.

I was referring to the audio quality specifically (which is part of the model and doesn't change). Lyrics structure is likely separate - there was a bug recently where the word "start" was creeping into songs, so there's a chance that something changed with how lyrics are handled.

you can go beyond 2 minutes by choosing 'extend' on the track you like, you can then extend it in 30ish second segments until it is finished

you have to type in the same styles as in part 1 if you dont want it to change, and choose a proper time to extend where it can pick up all the melody. normally suno is pretty good at generating super similar extensions.

I suggest you use custom mode and not simple mode as you have more control with metatags. Also when extending you can use the Extend Timer and maybe move the time back a little bit earlier in the song. eg, end of a verse or chorus and continue from there. If the last bit of Part 1 sounds like it is ending then Suno end it.

The first block features a ultra realistic voice, but after the first chorus it gets robotic, and then it sounds worse and worse every new block... I've been here for months, and complaints like this go back to V2. It's not perfect yet, some are more distorted than others. It's nothing new, and it will get better with new versions.

Here is a message of me when I was a NEW user with V2:

People are getting fatigued with answering the same question over and over again, I know that has been my case.

1. Some genre are more prone to reverb/degradation than others, especially if it has a diverse number of subgenres or group singers from what I experienced.

Selecting a specific subgenre helps a lot as it reduces the diverse pool learned for the broader genre scope. You can check sites like https://rateyourmusic.com/genres/ for a list of specific subgenres or look in to the styles used by a particular artist or song (there are a few music genre analysis sites like RYM mentioned already)

2. The issue with degradation and extension is that the AI does not remember your initial generation so extensions spend ~1 min before the continue point to relearn/mimic the styling.

If you have degradation within this duration, the AI will pick it up and include it as it thinks it is part of the style.

As you extend more, it gets more prominent as the AI "hears" it increase.

So, currently, you must treat the problem when it happens by generating a track with little/no degradation before extending (though there are some songs that goes well with it... like songs about digital/memory corruption)

the trick is to only choose clean parts and just forget about the noisy ones. if you have a part thats clean in the beginning, just use the beginning. due to the nature of randomness many parts are not what we want, and it can take quite some tries until we have a result that a: sounds like we want it b: has a good quality and if you want it extra complicated c: perfect lyrics.

This tends to develop the more you extend a song. There's a few examples posted in here but if you have one to share it might be useful for the developers to look at - you can also "flag" the song for having poor audio quality.

The only way I'm aware of to get around this problem is to use "get whole song" (uses no credits) and then extend the new song that is created, and to make sure you extend from before the tinny effect starts. It's not ideal, and I hope it gets addressed, but hopefully it helps to work around the problem for now.

Hmm this sounds like it's used a particular kind of voice rather than being tinny at least (see my example at #🪲┃bugs-web message where an instrumental ends up in a tin can.) IMO the voice doesn't sound unpleasant, but I get that it's not desirable - only suggestion I can make for that is having additional vocal qualities in the style (describe the voice in more detail like "male vocals, X vocals, Y vocals" where X and Y are the qualities you want.) Vocals can be quite tricky sometimes with v3. I think adding more details helps it tune-out some of the unwanted stuff but I could be wrong (AI does quirky things sometimes that can make you think "this works!" or "this doesn't work!") You might find other suggestions by searching #📚┃suno-school - vocal quality comes up quite a bit.

Another example of frequencies gathering and persisting/ringing throughout the song. This seems to have been triggered and being further antagonised by a music box. I just burned almost 300 credits because Suno keeps skipping the first line of a chorus.
I even tried writing the line twice: it sang it twice, as a pre-chorus, and then it went on starting the chorus with the line after that, as usual.
It's like rolling three dice and get a 2. Every {bleep}ing time!

Those things are because the AI sometimes lost it's way in the songs. AI is still very unpredictable. But a lot of people here who are working some time with it do see patterns to get it back on track. One of these things is going back a second (1 or 2) and continuing from there, or sometimes even bringing back the last sentence so it understands where to continue. It all depends on what you are working off. It's still not perfect.

As a matter of fact, this happens extending a song where Suno made a really awesome intro and first two verses, followed by a rather poor chorus. So I'm trying to generate a new chorus. I have tried different extension points, but the problem remains the same.

Yes, I know how to obtain clean sections and then use a DAW to arrange and mix them to complete a full track, which is exactly what I have been doing while producing the album this month. Yeah. What makes it especially frustrating is that we probably all remember how much better v3alpha was at doing clean vocals. It might not have understood instructions like [Outro] and such very well, but i would still prefer v3a over v3 any day.

Bug: Need page change buttons on the Create page. I think that may be the reason I am seeing a lot more songs which I created on my Library page than on my Create page. The library page has a page button, but the Create page does not.

If you are including meta-tags like [outro] and/or [end] in any song extensions that you have put lyrics in the Lyrics box, it can cause this. If that's the case, try this instead: If you are making a song extension for which you are including lyrics, even if it is your intended last song extension, do not include ending meta-tags like [outro] or [end] at the end of the lyrics. Instead create your song extension which includes lyrics as a separate extension with no ending meta-tags, and then when that extension is done and made into a full song, then do one more extension that only contains your ending meta-tags like [outro] and [end]. This workaround has worked for me more often than not.

Perhaps some of these observations are bug or bugrelated:
Next to impossible to generate electric guitar if attempting to add it in synthwave context and when forcing it in through putting in a genera that has more guitar in it often it is with a huge hit to the quality of the instruments.
Keeps generating too many drops/build up over and over in a lot of music.
Seems to use over filtered instrument a lot of the time that are almost impossible to hear, sometimes uses complete silence (bug? Missing samples?).
Often there's background hum that doesn't add anything, likely some of those over-filtered instruments.
Often changes the general structure of the song and it is difficult, if not impossible to go back to the starting style and 'note layout?' for a good ending.
Seems to have a very hard time trying to generate solos and often ends up making way to short ones, then instead of continuing the song there's generally another restart and a new build up before anything continues.

There is no guarantee that Suno will closely or even partially follow what is entered as meta-tags in the 'Lyrics' box and in keywords which are entered in the 'Style of Music' box.
Nor is turning on the 'Instrumental' button a guarantee that Suno won't try to generate some vocals in the song part it generates.
Likewise, Suno can sometimes also ignore some or all of the lyrics a person enters in the 'Lyrics' box, or otherwise mangle them in some way.

𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐠: I have confirmed that if I have too many songs on my Create screen (using the MS Edge browser, at least) I can't see them all. Looks like the Create screen is only showing me a max of 20 songs, with no Page button to go to a next page. Yes, I am using the scroll bar to scroll down through the song list. Please fix.

The pagination can be hard to see initially if you do not know about the location (though I do not know if it appears in Edge, haven't tested it with it).

You can change the page number underneath the trash can in the upper right of the screen at the top... just be sure that the Like and Public filters are disabled.

Important Note on Using the Suno Create Screen:
Currently, at least, the use of meta-tags in the 'Lyrics' text entry box and all keywords entered in the 'Style of Music' text entry box are taken as "suggestions" only by the Suno model.
There is no guarantee that Suno will closely or even partially follow what is entered as meta-tags in the 'Lyrics' box and in keywords which are entered in the 'Style of Music' box.
Nor is turning on the 'Instrumental' button a guarantee that Suno won't try to generate some vocals in the song part it generates.
Likewise, Suno can sometimes also ignore some or all of the lyrics a person enters in the 'Lyrics' box, or otherwise mangle them in some way.

however, accent for first 2 lines was strong russian and only from 3rd line it was changed to ukrainian.
i assume, the change happened when AI faced ukrainian letter "і" at the end of the second line.

It got censored from ChatGPT (which moderates the lyrics in Suno) not liking something. Ask OpenAI's ChatGPT itself about "what would censor the following: [content]" and it should tell you.

Usual causes are using swear words or interpreting harmful situations. Even if it worked before, it could be a small change caused its interpretation to become different.

I remember people getting censored for using bones, ribcage, and skeletons because it made ChatGPT assuming some sort of horrific tale.

Well, as Paimon says: Suno gatekeeper is ChatGPT. So if you ask Chatgpt WHY your lyrics are flagged for moderation it will explain you. And it is not about a "word", it is about the context. If it contains violence, self-harm or adult themes, it might give some problems.

Extensions will always be at most 1 minute. I'm not very familiar with predominantly instrumental songs, so I'm not sure why it cuts the extension to 10 seconds. In general, this can randomly happen but it should be rare if there is enough content to fill more than 10 seconds. With instruments I guess the chances are a bit greater because it's not so clear when the extension should finish. This can also happen often when the bot thinks the song needs to end, for example if you continue from a low volume point or a point with no sound.

When you click on the "Get Whole Song" button, the parts are all joined together, however, at the separation points there are inconvenient noises that "dirty" the music and make it uncomfortable to listen to.

The noises caused are precisely at the connection points between the extended parts: 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00...

Apparently these noises only happen in longer songs (over 15 minutes or a little longer).

I can't speak for the devs, of course, but there are specific music genres for which Suno quite often generates a short vocal intro (happened to me with reggae, more times than I'm comfortable recalling 🙈 🙊 ).
Since it "understands" that your first lines of lyrics are to be a verse, it won't use them for the intro. The problem is, it will happily use literally any text in sight - including the style prompt.
My personal "solution" was to retry until I got a generation with no vocal intro (cost me some 200 credits but I'm stubborn, lol).
If it happens to you on a regular basis, like 9 generations out of 10 for instance, I'd try adding something like this at the start:

so at least it vocalizes without singing anything.

I can confirm. I observed the same problem. A temporary solution is to use custom mode and start with the [Intro] or [Big Intro] tag. If we need a mode only with instruments, then next, we need to add the [Instrumental] tag

I've seen comments about similar things with both services (vocals when none were wanted, no vocals when vocals were wanted, song wanting to end too soon, alleged quality downgrades, unhappiness with moderation of lyrics, want stems/wav output...) There's plenty of discussion/comparison in the off-topic channel here so briefly: the only significant things I feel are better elsewhere (in terms of the generated output) are the audio quality/clarity and vocals.

If you add a song to a playlist you are able to add the same song again and again to the same playlist. If you then remove the song from playlist you have to refresh the website to be able to remove the duplicates you added.

Would be nice if you added a song to a playlist and try to add it again to the same playlist that it gives you a message that this song already was added to this playlist and don't allow duplicates of it to be added.

Suno always provides the same structure, always the same metric inconsistency, very often does not respect the instructions, does not respect the lyrics and produces results that are mostly irritating, sometimes completely ridiculous. thanks for the tip👍 , it's not exactly like that and it's not even very convenient (you have to go back and forth from the pages to the library and then to the trash page) However, by selecting the first song and scrolling to the last one and clicking with alt+shift together, you select all the songs on the page, then go to the right sidebar, search for "delete permanently" on the three dots (under the highlighted song) and click .....done.

There's a bug that seems to be affecting all genre's in Suno it's keeps adding a reverb effect that builds up as the song plays getting higher pitched as it continues. Doesn't matter what genre, I've gotten it in at least 3-4 genres in all generations.

I have a peculiar problem. Yesterday two of my songs lost their cover images. They had the ones generated through the lyrics, now they have the default bird.🐦 If I view my songs in the library that is. When I open them up, they have no image at all, just an icon (when your HTML image source can't load) and a meta text.
I looked through the HTML code and found a link to the picture, but if I open it I get an "Access Denied" error.🤷‍♂️
I also tried clearing my browser cache and using a different browser altogether to no avail.

So I left it be, thinking it would be a server issue for example. But…

Today another two of my songs have lost their cover images. Making it 4 cover-less songs.🥺
Did anyone come across the same problem? Is there a way to fix it?

Playlists seem to be buggy. I made a private playlist for parts of other people's songs I could try using as an intro for this song I'm working on. I tried to add certain specific tracks from someone else's playlist to my playlist, but for some reason it dumped their whole playlist in.

Hi, bad news on my side(but I'm not alone)...From bad to worse: now songs of different lengths are produced,for istance: one lasting 2 minutes, the second 1.19 (it happened 3 times out of 12 attempts(!). It's not enough, I try to lengthen a 1.19 song, it creates another of 1.19(?!?) and a second of 12 seconds but.... after 5 seconds there is only silence, and the credits are used up. 🤔 Unfortunately I have to continue to report anomalous behavior. I hope it can be useful to someone to fix things otherwise using SUNO becomes a disappointing and frustrating experience. Here is the latest update:
I just made other attempts, the results were absurd to say the least: I inserted a text and two "pieces" of song were generated, lasting 21 and 43 seconds respectively(!!!)🤨
I tried to extend the 43s one, I obviously replaced the text but left the prompt unchanged and...I got a 1 minute piece and one 40 seconds again(?) I chose (I had to choose due to inconsistency of the result) the one 1 minute and I did "whole song". I tried to extend it again and again a useless 41 second piece and a 1 minute piece. In the end I have a piece of 2.43 m, so and so, which I don't know how to finish because I could have 1 minute of useless repetition or only instrumental, instead I should have obtained a structured piece of over 4 minutes. To obtain this, 40/50 credits were consumed. I've had enough for today, I'm left with 250 credits, I've wasted the same amount for no good. Let's see how it goes in the next few days. 👋

i mentioned previously how when you extend a clip from a whole song it always reverts to the styles that were originally used for the first part of the song. I understand why it's like this, as these are the styles that show when you see the summary of the song etc... but from a practical stand point it would seem much better if it just used the styles from the last part of the "whole song" you were continuing from

like i think there is a 90% chance when working on the song you want to continue with the same styles that you were previously using. There might be occasions when you want to go back to the original styles, but that to me feels more like the exception than the rule.

I do also understand that when continuing from parts directly it does indeed keep the style. It's just I'm often continuing from the whole song and because of the resetting I always need notepad open so I can copy/paste my styles back in.

It got censored from ChatGPT (which moderates the lyrics in Suno) not liking something. Ask OpenAI's ChatGPT itself about "what would censor the following: [content]" and it should tell you.

Usual causes are using swear words or interpreting harmful situations. Even if it worked before, it could be a small change caused its interpretation to become different.

I remember people getting censored for using bones, ribcage, and skeletons because it made ChatGPT assuming some sort of horrific tale.

hmm, at the very most it will start directly with the lyrics (say verse 1 for example), and many traditional songs do start like this. It shouldn't really start in the middle like Udio does.

if you want a definite musical intro, you can do any of the following:

• start the prompt with an [Instrumental Intro] tag at the start (note: this approach doesn't always work)
• make the first clip an instrumental, and add lyrics when you extend
• make the first clip have no lyrics (you can still use tags though). If you do this, perhaps also include "instrumental" as you first style tag to emphasize to the AI that you only want an instrumental here

the 2nd approach is the easiest and most reliable, though the 3rd approach is pretty reliable too and allows more flexibility if you need it

Intro tag is not a well working tag, try [Start] and then [Intro], better results. But mostly depends on the music style.
I sometimes, generate a specific "intro" part after the verse, [silent] or [blank] then [intro] and the first verse again. And mix. Works well for me.

Hallucinations are very depended on the genre you are trying to make an instrumental of. For instance, classical music would usually work pretty well, but if you are trying to make a hip-hop beat, it will be hard to contain the model not to rap. Mainly because there is not much instrumental hip-hop in general. But every version gets better and smarter.

I made some tests last night (no screenshots, sorry). It seems that every time you "Get whole song" Suno normalizes the volume of the result.
Add to that the fact that with each extension there is some added noise (this is apparently a fact of life in Suno, although I'll leave the details to someone more knowledgeable than myself).
So what happens when you extend the first time? You get a normalized track, louder than the original parts. The noise in part 2 will be louder too, possibly to the point that it influences the context from which next part is generated.
When you extend from the whole (part 1+2+3) song, instead of extending from part 2, the last part of the full song will be amplified, while the first two parts, being already normalized, will be left as they are.
Now the third part (of the full song) has been generated from a noisy context and then amplified. It will be part of the context for the 4th part. See where I'm going?

If I'm right, which I won't assume to be (I didn't test on hundreds, or even dozens, of songs in different styles etc.), just skipping normalization of full songs should improve the situation.

I found in some cases, attenuating (iZoptope) frequencies above around 1400, reduces some of the "ringing". Will work more in trying to figure it out.

The ringing can start even in part 1 of a song too, so this doesn't seem exclusively a thing with extensions. I've posted examples before (and flagged them for bad quality). If extensions are changing volume levels, the ratio of wanted audio to unwanted noise should still be the same so I'm not convinced that normalisation is the cause. But, I could be wrong.

What is extremely annoying is:

• When creating the entire song, the sound breaks off abruptly at the end and does not fade out slowly.
• When generating using Extend, the sound fades out too often at the end of the part, because you want to continue using it, pauses are carried over into the entire song and you get the feeling that the next song is about to start.
• Extends sometimes have different volume levels
• Far too often an attempt is made to generate an Extend, but it fails. The credit is usually credited.

What could be done:

• Instead of debiting 10 credits, offer the option of 5 credits so that you can use a generation for an Extend.

• A page where all song styles are clearly listed.

• An upgrade of the account to a lifetime, i.e. pay once and use forever. The account could, for example, include the generation of three times the amount of the free account.

I used the free account, the annoying important things prevent an upgrade.

I never use raw AI, I go through it and change what I want or where errors or bad sound occurs. It's not that hard to fade a song out with programs like iZotope, for which I wouldn't even consider AI unless I could make it sound fairly normal.

From what I have seen, the AI takes the metatags as advisement, not direct orders. Depending on how the flow goes and/or how much time remains, it may skip it (if you have a lot of lyrics for the allocated time, it would not be surprising to see the AI skip sections)

An alternative, if you cannot get the AI to work with [Break], is to try a variant an an [instrumental] tag (e.g. guitar shred, percussion solo, melodic instrumental, etc.)

Or, worst case, Extend from the point you want, use instrumental tags only if it skips them, and extend again when you want the new lyrics in.

[BUG WHEN JOINING EXTENSIONS INTO ONE SONG - LONG SONGS]

When you click on the "Get Whole Song" button, the parts are all joined together, however, at the separation points there are inconvenient noises that "dirty" the music and make it uncomfortable to listen to.

This every minute becomes very uncomfortable for the listener.

The noises caused are precisely at the connection points between the extended parts: 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00...

Apparently these noises only happen in longer songs (over 15 minutes or a little longer).

Please fix this bug so long songs flow correctly without unpleasant noises. 🙏

This can happen. The "instrumental" switch makes it more likely that you'll get an instrumental, but sometimes you'll still get vocals even if they seem to be singing gibberish. If it's a genre that usually has lyrics you're more likely to encounter this. I've had it with a country song, I guess because those usually have words.

I've been having an issue - over and over and over again where the vocals are so noisy and dirty - so many credits wasted - really is annoying because some of the music has been great - but the vocals make it unusable - arg

Bug: Not sure at all how Suno sets audio levels, but I am often getting vocals and/or instruments that are way too loud or over-compressed or over-boosted sounding, and sometimes actually getting full out digital clipping distortion on the audio, which should never happen. Suno should not be emulating digital clipping distortion as that should never happen in commercial music, so should not be part of the Suno model. So that raises the question, is Suno doing any monitoring of audio levels to make sure they never clip? Also, if there is level boosting /compression added to the audio by Suno, it needs to be throttled back quite a bit. It's often way too much. 🙂
