How did the developers of Suno actually manage to ensure that the tool, as so often said, actually gets worse every single day? That would be really interesting, I'm starting to think they should make official explanation. Don't always just say that nothing has been changed in the model. That's a lie because no AI doesn't deteriorate on its own in three days. Kind of seems like Suno is eating themselves alive now...

I have exaclty the same issues. When extending a song with additional lyrics they are cut off, garbled or lyrics from the previous parts are included. Its quite hard to create a consistent song larger than 2 minutes.
Suno is a great tool. I had so much fun the last week: especially with the 500 extracredits 😍 but the extension feature needs to be improved urgently.

Dude I wasn't the one taking the action but if Microsoft is your big bad, you may as well make yourself comfortable, it's over they own the board. They have huge influence on OpenAI which is a large part of the entire sector. They managed to tame Apple long ago with a mutual aggression pact and by paying off the QuickTime lawsuit with a promise to keep Office available. Linux isn't even trying any more. The biggest thing about the recent kernel release is the addition of NT based primitives so Wine will work better.

It's over. If Microsoft is the villain we all may as well enjoy our soma because this is their world, we just live in it.

Was deleting extra songs today. At some point the remaining songs lost their names, and some moved to neighboring songs. Now the library is a mess. Clearing the cache and logging in/out of the student does not help.

There have been no official statements about V3 Alpha except Tony saying restoring V3 Alpha is like 'going back'. There have been hundreds of users saying the same here, cancelling their subscriptions etc. The mods seems to not want to touch the topic anymore. There has been some reference to polls and AB testing to support the claims for V3 over V3 Alpha.

I was just talking to my wife about Suno not running the model at full capacity after going public with V3, of course, I was speculating too then I come here and see the same thing 😊

All in all, I am a very big fan of Suno but something is clearly wrong with V3, I'm listening with envy to my previous work done with V3A. The neverending choir, the missing or wrong vocals, not taking into account things in parentheses (lately even Chorus is often not taken into account), weird sounds, today I even got a song played alternatively either just to my left or just to my right ear (I checked, my headphones are fine). I'm sure they'll solve these at some point, I'm just sad about having to wait (I'm not saying anything about the spent credits, it's not such a big amount of money).

Adding my voice as a paid user: Suno is currently unusable due to the "chorus" issue, and I won't be re-subbing till it is fixed. I, like others, reported the bug at the start, and I've sat back on my sub for a couple of weeks waiting for it to be fixed. But just now I blew maybe 800 credits (coming to the end of my month) and 90% of the songs were totally unusable due to the chorus bug.

To me it is crazy that Suno has not acknowledged this bug (other than vague "we won't ever go back to the working alpha version that you guys are asking for"). It is crazy that we all have to guess why they can't roll-back, like "Oh, it's just too expensive to run the alpha model, which they didn't realise till it was too late, so they nerfed it". It is also crazy that, even with many, many users reporting this same bug, somehow there is an attempt on discord to gaslight us into believing that it is all in our heads, that nothing has changed, and that, even though we have the Chirps to prove it, the model was "always this bad".

Meanwhile, Udio has appeared that not only does not have this chorus effect, but is currently free, and getting massive publicity. It does some things better than Suno V3A, and some things worse. So, although I have really loved Suno in the past, there is no point in paying for something that does not work (V3) and the devs are not acknowledging the issue, let alone giving confidence that they will fix it. And this is not just some minor bug that we can live with: most of my songs are broken with an increasing chorus effect. Across multiple genres, and multiple retries.

I am, of course, just one insignificant user. But I can guarantee that a whole lot of people are in the same situation, and looking at continuing with a broken Suno, or just cancelling their sub and using the working and currently free alternative in Udio. Unfortunately for Suno, you aren't the only horse in the race any more, and you need to give us some reason to back you.

Suno was doing great, but not good with V3 still I believe SUNO would do better by quickly fixing the issue with V3, while working on the issue if they give us V3alpha that would be more than enough. Hello! I have a bug to report. Sometimes when I reload the page I get landed on someone other's profile. I suspect it was becausethat adblocker was enabled. I have disabled them for now and Ill let you know if that fixed it. By the way, I have created so many amazing tracks with Suno (just in 4 days) and I and I just wanted to say thank you. I tried Udio and it was just not getting the prompts right (for industrial tracks). Also I have a feeling that the chorus bug happens when you overload the chorus and the neural network thinks that its best for the song to have a background effect instead of chorus that wont fit.

Anyone else having a problem extending older songs? Until recently if I had a song I'd created a while back, I could select the song > Reuse Prompt > Extend > Continue and it'd work fine. Now I get a system error every time. Works fine if I create a song and then extend it straight away, it's with older material it has the problem. Any suggestions/workarounds?

Hope this is the right place for this. I'm having such a brutal time wrapping up a song because I'm not able to get the chorus to sound the same as earlier in the song. The odd thing is that where my clip ends is actually the correct chorus, but it only gets out 2 lines of it before the 58 seconds are up, and I can't for the life of me extend it 😦

Naw, it creates a whole new sounding chorus instead (I tried that with extending a smaller clip, the entire song (that has the chorus from earlier), tried just putting [Chorus] but then it doesn't generate the lyrics)

What boggles my mind is that the clip that was Part 2 that was extended from the clip from the original one can get it right (randomly), but extending (part 3) from that part 2 clip just flops over when attempting the same chorus (I would've expected that extending from the full song that has the chorus in it would be able to look back and see the chorus to then re-use that when tagged with the same lyrics and everything; that said, if I did want to tweak a few words in the final chorus, it should keep the same tune - maybe that's v4)

If the song hasn't morphed too much by the last chorus I guess there's the clunkier option of importing the whole song into Audacity and copying and pasting the original chorus over the dodgy one..

V3 is broken. It happens. Either you waste credits by trying multiple times, from different moments and you might get lucky, or wait for some update that hopefully will make things better.

Hello. I'm encountering a small issue but one that I'm unsure why is happening.

I have 3 parts I want to make into a full song. When I select the 3rd part and click on get full song, for some reason it is only putting part 1 and part 3 into a full song, completely skipping part 2. If I click on get full song from part 2, it will pull from parts 1 and 2.

For some reason, I can not seem to get all 3 parts to be included in the full song. Is this bugged in any way?

Most probably the chorus is too way back and out of the context window. The bot doesn't remember the entire song, only the last x seconds / notes etc.

I don't think Suno provides exactly what this window size is.

The best proof of this was when the bot, in one of my songs, managed to repeat only the last two chorus verses out of 4, every time, and I tried for dozens of time. Simple explanation: the first two verses were out of the context window.

This is probably also the reason why the first generation is 2 minutes and the next are just 1 minute. The first generation input are just the lyrics, all compute power is used for output. The next generations also input audio and this also uses compute power, so the output is shorter to keep the parity. Just my assumptions.

I don't think that's a bug, it's just something that a lot of songs do at the end while leading into the next song. So this thing imitates that on some songs. I think it's kinda cool. You can hear it going into the next non-existent track.

Wondering how to address a couple of things. suno doesn't seem to be able to realise that honor (US spelling) and honour (Australian and British spelling) are the same word and pronounce the same. It pronounces 'honour' with a non-silent H which sounds a bit funny 😄

Secondly, can you 'train' it to say a word properly eg I was trying to write a song about my home town Canberra which is not pronounced Can BERRA which is how non-Aussies would pronounce it, it's pronounced CANbra.... It's kind of how Ontario is pronounced On-tair-ree-oh rather than Oh tah rio or many Torontonions would not pronounce every syllable in Toronto. Thanks.

has anyone else had the extend start from a previously specified spot, and not the current one youre on? like if you try to continue from 10 seconds, it wont do it. so you change it to 40, and all of those extends continue from 10 seconds perfectly. so you switch back to extend from 10 seconds since its doing it now, and then it starts continuing form 40 seconds, instead of 10. If you have had this problem, how did you fix it?

Frisian pronouciation in model is awful. Although getting a data set for that I would imagine would be tough. Dutch pronouciation also has some wierd irregularities such as pronoucing some words as if they are English (ones I've noticed are Gouda and Gouds(e), banjo)

Hello, I'm going to comment on something that I consider extremely important. I'm just another user, like most of you here, but it saddens me to see how the developers of Suno are constantly attacked. The attitude towards them is truly shameful and unjust. They shouldn't be treated this way, nor should they be demanded from disrespectfully.

As a programmer, I understand how frustrating it can be when the idea you want to implement doesn't work as it should (although I acknowledge that these are the challenges I love). But there are times when you reach a point of desperation and simply decide to leave it for another occasion.

I've never worked with artificial intelligence, so I'm not familiar with the process the Suno team has gone through, but I'm sure they must feel a lot of pressure. We must realize that they want it to work as best as possible. It's common sense, why would they intentionally ruin their model? It doesn't make sense.

I'm sure the Suno team works very hard to provide us with this wonderful tool. Years ago, NO ONE would have imagined that artificial intelligence would reach this level, and it's something that Suno has made a reality.

How many people who are no longer with us would have wanted the opportunity to try such a great tool?

Do you realize? We don't even stop to think about what they are going through, the stress they are under, and how that makes them feel.

And worse still, going into Discord and seeing comments full of negative vibes...

If they think that acquiring a subscription gives them the power to "demand" as if they were the bosses, they are mistaken! NO ONE is forcing them to subscribe, so that is NOT justification for expressing bad comments.

I see only complaints after complaints, but I ask you, when everything is going well, do they come here to say thank you because it's working correctly? Something like: "Hello Suno team, today everything is working correctly, I want to thank you because I've got great songs, I hope you are having an excellent day, just like I am thanks to you developing such a great tool."

As someone who started Suno with V3, I never checked V2 until recently. I'm very surprised because the quality of V2 is consistently above V3, by a huge margin. V3 almost always produces heavy distortion, noise, and reverb, often you can't even understand the lyrics. It is specially noticeable with guitars, a chorus, or high pitch vocals. V2 has none of those problems. V3 still produces better compositions, in my opinion, but the noise and distortion makes the results unusable most of the time. It has always been present, since release (never checked alpha, though).

It quite often stops short (in the middle of lyrics), and when it goes full length it often stops right in the middle of a note or a lyric, so is a jarring ending. Was the generation system updated the last time the site was updated? A lot of my generations seem...off, compared to what I was getting before the site update. The biggest problem I've had is that I'll get a great extend clip but it will cut off in the middle of a word or lyric. Would there be any way to code it that it has to finish it's word or sentence by the end of the clip it generates?

Also, I've noticed the Instrumental switch in the Extend panel doesn't really do anything. When it's checked, the Generate button is still grayed out until I actually put [Instrumental] in the lyrics box. That kinda makes the option redundant if you have to tell it to do that in the lyrics box anyway. For a simple fix, maybe checking the option could automatically populate the lyrics box with [Instrumental] and lock it?

I generated 20 songs, one at a time using different prompts and titles in Custom Mode (they are also all instrumental if that matters). Then I went up to the top and Extended the first song. As soon as I generated that extended song, it deleted the first 10 songs, including part 1 of the extended part 2 song.

This usually happens when the AI feels your song is already ending. Like it is fading out or having a silence. You can fix that by changing the timestamp just a second earliers (sometimes a bit more, depending on your song).

Yes I can extend from there, ... but: I tried more versions, each was rather poor in every way. It started to sing weird, and for my GREATEST FRUSTRATION for some reson started to skip 1st line of verse. Nothing changed, I just pressed "continue" few mre time. Now I can't get anymore from it. Any further attempts only eat credits and produce trash.

[Instrumental intro] never works 4me. Only with certain music styles like "flamenco" where intro are done regardless. But then HOUSE music or EDM rarely starts with voice, but long instrumental intros. SUNO V3 seems very rigid and forces it's structure no matter what. I do not know the structure expected. If I write 4+4 lines of Verse, it might sing 6 lines and then start CHORUS with remaining lines. Sometimes spends 1st verse as pre-lyrics text, then chorus as a verse, then next verse as chorus. Lastly, there is no consistency: attempts will constantly use [verse 1] as a singing verse and [chorus] as acappella verse and then [verse 2] as chorus. So I adapt lyrics and put [verse 1] + [verse 2] + [chorus], to please structure ... HECK! Attempts will then did as I wanted before: it still sings verse, chorus, verse ... again wrong 😦

In the end, I get similar results if I just leave bare text, even whole in ONE line.

It seems V3 really wants to make the complete song in 2 minutes. I see if there is a lot of lyrics V3 will skip whole verses in order to conclude the song until 2.00 even if I would like to be extend. If I put short text (a verse + chorus + bridge), SUNO will still squeeze everything at the beginning, starting with lyrics before music, consuming all text up to 55 seconds, then it will make a minute and more instrumental. This is hopeless.

"Clean Dynamic vocals" ... LOL. I really struggle to get clean vocals. Also, I lose temper when demanding "MALE VOCAL" and female vocal outcome and vice versa.

Making pure instrumental, then extend posed another problem: extension A lot of attempts and fiddling, to make it happen, or no luck at all.

Last but not least [instructions] sometimes is just used as lyrics and sang!?

I lost temper before, after 10 attempts, and always 1st line of lyrics was skipped - The [verse] always started with 2nd line. So I added line before verse [why the f**k you always skip 1st line] and it helped. LOL.

From experience, and I could be wrong, when Suno pairs a certain type of music to your lyrics, it tries to match the rhythm and tempo of the music with the lyrics. Most of the time, it forces the singing with the music so you will see Suno sing more lines (or less lines) than what you prompted it to do. Sometimes, it sings the refrain as if it is the chorus and the actual chorus becomes a verse.

i tried to make a long electronic music mix, which actually works pretty well and is impressive. but i think ive found a bug.

after generating ~20 parts i created a whole song for testing, which was generally fine. after that i closed the browser window and after a few hours i wanted to work again on that mix, so i extended the last part before i created the whole song.

now it comes to the bug, that when i want to get the whole song, i get little gaps between each parts. im not really able to correct them, because the sound there doesnt fit completly together. you always hear a little noisy blip at this points

Try refreshing your web browser page. It also happened to me a couple of times when I switched between screens in Suno that Suno showed me songs on my Create screen that were not my songs. When I then refreshed the Create screen in my web browser, Suno reverted back to showing only my songs on the Create Page. There is a bug in there for sure that occurs sometimes when switching between screens such as Create and Library and Trash and then returning back to the Create screen. You may see songs on your Create screen that are not your songs. 😟

On one hand, I think the best proof that Suno V3 quality decreased vs V3A is that tools such as Ripx or LalalAI aren't able to separate voice from instrumental anymore, at least for me. When the choir comes, both will fail in separating those two. Because I use voice separation to further improve the generated songs, for me it's like a double problem.

On the other hand last time I checked Udio wasn't even able to replicate the same chorus twice and all rock songs sound like Prodigy to the point I'm afraid from a legal point of view 😂 I still think Suno is the best out there.

When something doesn't work like at least 3 out of 5 times , my suggestion and what I do is try a different thing. Eg: when it always skips the first verse, add a new one before it, in the worst case it will skip the newly added one and start with what you wanted in the first place. What you add could even be gibberish and remove it in a DAW later.

Eg2: If it mispronounces a word too often try another one.

Eg3: if it always skips a verse in the middle of the song, replace it or add a break if possible from the previous one or replace the previous verse.

Most commonly that happens when you are extending a song after a period of silence. If you change the "Extend From" time from the end of the clip and choose a time before the song starts to get quieter (maybe 5, 10, 15 seconds or more from the end of the clip) it may resume normally. Sometimes you may have to back up quite bit more.

The quality depends on what the model (e.g. V2/V3) outputs, which is based on the prompts and - to some degree - randomness. The model does not change between versions. V3 was released around a month ago, the only changes since then have been for the website and database (nothing audio quality or model related.)

Try changing the prompts you are using, see if that helps.

This usually happens when the AI feels your song is already ending. Like it is fading out or having a silence. You can fix that by changing the timestamp just a second earliers (sometimes a bit more, depending on your song).

Most likely this is just how the model behaves. Try switching between V2 and V3 to compare the difference as they are different models.

I don't notice MP3 artefacts - 192kbps is chosen because the model is lower quality than that, and it's again likely a limitation of the model.

Try divorcecore without anything else in the style prompt and put your instruments in [metatags] in the lyrics field. I got some seriously heavy metal vocals that way before.

There's been no official statements from Suno about this, as far as I'm aware of.

Some people mentioned that Songs disappear and i can confirm that.

I'm in the process of tidying up my trash. I'm working from top to bottom. I've noticed several times now that songs have simply disappeared. For example, I've clicked on the title of some songs again to get to the page of the song with the lyrics. Because if you click on the three dots there, you can still click on Download, which is not possible in the normal trash overview.

When I downloaded such songs and then went back using the browser back button, suddenly songs that were BEFORE this track simply disappeared.

In other situations, I simply marked songs for permanent deletion and sometimes the page would reload afterwards and then suddenly more songs were permanently gone than I had selected. And YES I made sure that the warning window didn't say "xx songs permanently removed" but just the one.

Okay... just a correction of myself. It looks like what i mentioned above is some weird ordering problem. I found the disappeared songs again. But the funny thing is, they are now on completely other positions and pages. Another funny thing was, that i was on page 3 and could not go to page 4 so i thought... okay, good job, only 3 pages remained. But after switching around the Menues and going back to the trash i now had a page 4 and page 5 (where the disappeared songs can be found now...)

That ussually means that either your genre choice is not normally used for singing.. or that you used a genre that normally has long intros like EDM.. So sometimes you will have to extend it to get voices, and sometime you genre is just not working with voices. But lyrics is just fine.

I am pretty sure they didn't change the model. So if you had problems before with pronunciation, it was bad luck. We all have it. I have with Dutch now and then, I have to write it phonetically to avoid some errors. And I heard it with chinese, swedish, russian. It's common with the state AI is in.

Hi, there is at least one bug in the sub cancellation feature.

I had about 1.1k credits left and I cancelled my subscription a few days earlier.
Suno tried to charge me twice so far regardless and my credits went from ~1.1k (~600 + 500) to 2500+500=3000 credits.

This does not add up in multiple ways. What happened to my ~1.1k credits? Did I lose about 600 of them because of the new month cycle? If this is intended, I don't like this, even if it's hidden somewhere in the ToS. At Audible, my credits stack when I don't use them up and I know it before purchasing and it's much more transparent.

I hate that model because it makes no sense. If I have a monthly fee why am I limited with credits? If I buy credits, why do they expire? I get worst of both worlds. Several times lately I noticed that continuing a V2 song with a new part generated with V3 will drastically reduce the quality of the initial V2 song (which by definition is not very clean from the beginning 😊). I actually did continue with V3 in the past and I noticed no decrease in quality so it could be something new.

V2 and V3 don't always mesh together perfectly. This can be a benefit, sometimes continuing a V3 with a V2 clip is the best way to break free of a trend/problem you can't otherwise shake in V3. (Including too much reverb or choirs etc)

Similar for me, but I started with V2. At some point V2 wasn't able to replicate the chorus for unknown reasons (although it was very close in time to the continuation point). V3 remembered the chorus correctly but added so much noise even to the previous parts that it was unusable.

I expect it's "kill" causing this. You can try to deliberately spell things wrong to get around it, e.g. instead of "the kill" try "the kil", "dakill" or "the keel" or something like that. The moderation works on the words it sees rather than how they sound, so you might find something that sounds like what you want.

It's called hallucionations. It happens especially with music that ussualy have singing parts in it (for instance, hiphop). But if you try piano, or jazz it's pretty good with instrumental. So it's genre related. You can compare it with ChatGPT making up nonesense. It's the current state, but it will become better with next version(s).

Not exactly a bug per se, but a result of AI moderation. I'm trying to generate the medieval lyric poem "In taberna quando sumus," and getting an "inappropriate material" failure, almost certainly due to the line

"bibit anus, bibit mater,"

Wherein it means "old woman" or "crone." "The old woman drinks, the mother drinks." I'm not surprised that it's being 'caught' here, but it is less than ideal.

It's not pronounced quite the same as the word in english (more like "ah noose"), but even rewriting it phonetically doesn't seem to help.

Hm, no, I stopped earlier and I'm still not being allowed to generate it. It's probably the line "bibit albus, bibit niger," (The white man drinks, the black man drinks). Similar problem, though, English profanities being made universal prohibitions.

Don't get me wrong I love suno as well, that's just one place where it is a bit frustrating at times. I just end up throwing a giant list of words and having no idea which ones are doing anything. Experimenting is fun to a degree though if there are credits to spare.

Just an example, Midjourney has a feature /shorten where you can send your prompt and it basically tells you the weight of each word and which ones you can leave out

I'm getting a lot of Continuations where they are cut short. They sound like normal continuations with lyrics sung. This isn't an issue with it thinking it should be the end of the song because of the way the last track ended (ie. winding down or pause). These are normal sounding songs that are just cutting off right in the middle of the generation.

Regarding observations of quality degradation: Quality tends to depend on the prompt - v3 won't have changed since it was released. Some genres may be more affected than others. I get high-pitched noises sometimes but it tends to be isolated to a particular song. Sometimes using "get whole song" and extending that can help.

I've had phantom lyrics in French and some sort of Creole sound I couldn't identify. Yesterday, a song had a strong genre vibe of "Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band", but Bruce, when he started singing, it was mixed between a strong French accent in English, and some kind of Texas accent in French. It was not pleasant haha. Today I had many outputs that didn't include the lyrics, sometimes one of the two would for about 15-20 minutes, then it returned to a more stable status.

I had an issue a couple nights ago where I had curated a bluegrass version of song lyrics I wrote about a "viral" pothole at a shopping plaza in my town. Someone had recently created a Facebook account for the pothole, then locals decorated it like a beach scene, etc. Anyways, after the bluegrass song was finished, I reused the first portion of the lyrics with other genre prompts, to see what popped out. When I asked for "Dirty South Rap" it clearly inserted an N* word offensive language that was not in my lyrics. I'm not offended, because of the accuracy of the model, I think, that it intuited when a song slaps this hard, it is likely to contain usage of that word. But, I also have received false positive denials before when lyrics mentioned a cat of the breed "Maine Coon". In that case, I substituted "Kuhn", like the brand, and it just sounded like the singer had a North-East U.S. accent. lol

get whole song only works on extended pieces....and it merges them with the prev part

yea that's what I was doing, I had made a bunch of songs that day, and then it just got bugged out all of a sudden

i put a picture of it above in this channel

when I would select the current song I was working on "the extended one" it would output a song that was done hours earlier, like so long ago it didn't even appear in the feed anymore.
